Hi there👋🏻 •This is my first alien and so far i really like it. • I bought this because people say that it is lighter version of the edp and actually I don't think i need the edp, plus one other reason i picked this one up is the citrus note that the edp don't have. • The edt to me is unique like the OG edp and what i understood this one is easier to wear and i agree • The longevity for edt is amazing. I can't compare it to the edp but i really like this one. • On my skin it lasted like 5-6hours and on clothes and hair i still could smell it on the next day •The smell wise the edt is floral, citrusy with some woody notes. •Also side note if you're blind buying alien and not sure if the edp is like too strong give this one a go, i did it and it turned out to be the right choice. •One thing to add that i can get headache from like strong white floral fragrances and i didn't get one from this so its a plus • Hope this helps someone to decide which one to pick and sorry for this review being long😆✨
It's cool... It's a'ight... I ain't mad at it. However, I will say it receives rave reviews from others when I wear it. I tend to layer it with the Alien deodorant spray. Easier for me to wear than the OG, and over time it has grown on me a little more. I agree with nicole.3's review below 100%. Perfect description.
OG Alien, but you accidentally spilled your vaguely citrus-flavored La Croix on her, and now she's somehow even more fabulous. :P You definitely have to appreciate the general Alien DNA to enjoy the EDT. I love them both for different reasons and can't pick a favorite between the two. @SimplyKenyetta, haha! Thank you so much. I honestly couldn't think of any other way to describe this one. <3
I can’t believe I’ve never done a review for this! Alien edt has been my signature since it was released. I fell in love with the uniqueness of the edp but I also found it strong and heady. The edt is suitable for all weather imo which is what I want from a perfume..to be able to wear it all year round. It also ticks the huge box for me which is longevity and projection..imo it’s amazing for an edt! It performs better than some recent expensive edp’s! I get beautiful whiffs of this addicting scent for around 9-10 hours on me without a re spray! I can’t believe it’s been around since 2009 because to me it’s still got a modern feel too it and it will always be my signature. If they ever discontinued it I would be devastated 😭
this is incredible. I had the edp and sold it but this one is just a beauty. A softer more muted version of edp. Much more wearable for me. Found a tester bottle for $37 and it was a sucessful blind buy. 10/10
Smells like a spaceship I'd want to ride to the stars! Not feminine enough for me, but I can't stop sniffing it!
I love this perfume, especially the eau de toilette. But my absolute favourite is the deodorant version! It is so well balanced. EDT starts sometimes feel too overpowering but the deodorant is subtle.
Alien EDT opens with a strong dose of jasmine and cashmere! Its sharp, and almost peppery or woody? A bit too much for me, so I have to avoid sniffing my skin directly until it settles in for a good 10-20 minutes ^^; I like it better on my clothing, though! It dries down into a softly soapy blend that's delicate and cozy~ I wish I could detect the citrus or amber? They're in the background helping things round out, but not discernable to my nose.. Still, it's a comforting scent like a warm blanket wrapped around you, fresh out of the dryer I prefer the EDT to the powerhouse that is the EDP! They share the same DNA, and have a lot in common, but the EDT's lighter intensity is what I end up reaching for.. Both are lovely for fall and winter! I think I've just been spoiled by Goddess and Hypersense, because those Aliens are truly perfect to me and the EDP/EDT feel slightly lacking ever since
i agree with the comment below 😂
imma busssss omgggg its so good
I have loved Alien for many years, but it was actually the EdT that I started wearing first. It took me some time to grow into the EdP given the phenomenal performance it had back then, and once I did the EdT got less and less of my attention. I still have that first bottle which has obviously macerated but never turned. I am wearing it for the first time in a long while and this reaquaintance has given me almost a second chance at a first impression. The opening is already a little different from the EdP. The kinship is immediately clear, unlike with many contemporary offerings which reinterpret the DNA completely (Burberry Her comes to mind), but I feel that the EdT is a version of Alien that exposes the construction of the EdP. It opens with a beautiful, juicy and fresh jasmine note (think of a sweet but crisp green apple), and this aspect remains throughout, but becomes more transparent, revealing neroli or perhaps petitgrain and vetiver in the drydown. I feel like the amber isn't really there as much. So at the end of its development (on the skin, not on clothes where it smells much like it does out of the bottle) it feels fresh, woody and impeccably clean, reminding me of the classic mugler cologne (original DNA). It's similar enough to the Alien EdP, but different in delightful ways. On me this probably received more compliments than the EdP has.
Alien is strange. It’s warm and cold at the same time. Spring but also autumn, gothic and classical - you have to wear it with your energy and let it produce the mix of whatever stands out more. I will love it til the end of time.
This was a nice perfume for me, until it wasn't. Maybe I didn't use it enough and it changed on me, though I keep it in a drawer. Maybe it was turning 40 and my body changing. I liked the heaviness of this before I switched from Parfum to Toilette, but a few months back, even toilette was too much for me. I wanted to rip my skin off after a few hours.
Alien EDP is my ride or die and to be honest I'll wear it all year around, but I still also have the EDT for when I want to dial it down a notch. Basically a watered down Alien with a bit of a fruit soda kick to it. I love it, of course.
I have to be in a certain mood to wear this. My daughter likes it more than I do, but we agree the bottle is just so fun to display in my collection. I'm not heavy on the application with this one as it seems to be a polarizing fragrance when I wear it. It is not my favorite scent I own, but I'm glad I have it as an option for days I'm feeling contrary.
Alien edp with toned down amber, and overall lighter. I prefer it to Alien edp, as it is more easy to wear. Alien edp can quite easily get you a slap in your (or others) face.
This is a beautifully executed jasmine fragrance. It’s not too sharp; instead, it’s incredibly bright, juicy, and sweet! This fragrance has a lovely feminine quality, and the amber and cashmeran create a soft, cushy base that makes it really addictive on my skin!
this was a technical "blind" buy in the duty free in Düsseldorf. i thought i had put the eau de parfum in my bag, instead having bought the eau de toilette. i actually enjoy this more than alien eau de parfum... Glows brighter but fades faster. it has a fresher, younger, audience. Smells citrusy, white floral and cashmeran. there's also a faint woody note that permeates after drydown. So wonderful.
Musky, creamy, with a hint of citrus.
I will be bathing in this come Spring/Summertime.
Smells like a hot topic store. Gothic, musky and plastic-y, yet not offensive (though I can smell the white florals, the type of flowers late in the evening during blue hours while biking home through a woodsy trail). I can see how this would be the perfect night scent for going to rave-girls or concertgirls. Smells like the feeling of freedom as an 18 yr old, idk. Intoxicatingly pungent, like sweat but muskier and hotter. Like the sweat of an emo girl, with a hint of burnt rubber. I don't know; i'm drawn to it, but it doesn't match my vibe. If you dress grunge or smoke, it'll fit your vibe. it's a 7/10 for me.
An absolute gem. Smells like organic orange marmalade. I will get it again and again.
I love edp but bought edt. It was a blind buy. It’s a kind of Alien that you can wear in a warmer wheather. Today it was 26 degree. I sprayed several times. In the car asked family is it ok. They said that I smell good. They didn't complain about over spraying. This would not have been possible with the edp. Since I'm 40, I'm not happy with my perfume spreading around too much. I don't want to be bothered by anyone's perfume, I don't want to bother anyone. That's why I like the edt. Still I need to try it in winter. ❄️ It’s too soapy in the winter. So I prefer wearing warmer seasons.
The classic Alien EDP is one of my most favorite fragrances and the EDT carries much of the same DNA but with a fresher, sparkling twist. It’s easier to wear in the daytime in warm weather and isn’t out of place in a casual setting.
I received a sample of both the Parfum and EDT and they were both terrible & chemical smelling. They both had decent longevity considering I scrubbed my wrists with soap several times and I still couldn’t get the awful smell off my wrists. Over hyped & over priced imo. Hated it.
For a white floral scent Alien is pretty nice and wearable for most occasions. But the citruses can sometimes smell like a bathroom or cleaning spray on my skin personally and is unpleasant. Also it was targeted to the alternative woman of which I am one and it just isn’t a unique enough for me it doesn’t give off that aura.
Alien made lighter and fresher with sparkling citruses. The jasmine is much tamer, with a noticeably sweeter tuberose added into the mix. Becomes woodier as it mellows and dries down. While I love Alien and can wear all year round, this is a much more palatable take on the EDP for those who find it overwhelming in warmer months.
Alien Edt first formula reviewed. Thierry Mugler signature on box. 2009. It's been about 15 yrs since this release. Some say it smells a bit boring or been done but you have to realize... this was one of the first amberwoods/Cashmeran fragrance on the market. Only now in '24 this base has become so commonplace..you smell it a lot in modern offerings. That's how far of a visionary Thierry Mugler was. A sharp fresh bitter Almond and citrus opens followed by the Alien Jasmine. The cashmeran and woods surface quickly. It's still stunning, and held up rather well. I prefer it to the heavier edp and layers amazingly with Amouage Guidence. I'm not sure how the current formula with Loreal is...but it's so potent, it will last you a long time. Great for spring/summer and layering due to similar modern bases.
I purchased this before the EDP version & they’re very similar, this one’s lighter & fresher! very good projection/longevity for an EDT! I don’t think you need both but I do prefer the edp version if I had to choose!
This smells so much better on my skin than the EDP. This is fresher, more juicy and bright. Easier to wear. Nice everyday scent and it lasts on my skin for about 6 hours with a moderate projection :)
