Alien Goddess

Sweet, generic, more suitable to general public than the OG Alien. Less complex and younger. A safe choice, likable fragrance that the specialty value it has seems to be low.

The first time I tried this in-store, I was not a fan. It was also the dead of winter and I had just smelled a bunch of very fresh and woody fragrances, which is what I was looking for at that time. After rocking OG Alien for a long time after that, I recently semi-blind bought this to give it another chance since I love the Alien DNA so much, and I'm so glad I did. This is a lovely, creamy, coconutty scent that makes you feel simultaneously summery and like you're wrapped up in a cozy blanket. I feel like I'm also getting some banana vibes but maybe I'm crazy?? I was skeptical about the initial drydown since the cashmeran base came through too strong for me, and the overall scent is a lot warmer compared to the freshness I gravitate towards, but something about this scent just feels comforting. It's long-lasting and has decent projection too--something my warm-weather wears tend to struggle with. Teeters right on the border of "Like" and "Love" for me.

I love how provocative Mugler used to be (as a designer brand). This flanker is nice but way too generic. This scent could be attributed to a Hawaiian Tropic body splash, and no one would question it.

So I ordered this recently in Ulta's latest sale. I decided to go into the store and test it. On first spray I loved it, but I really dislike the dry-down as the jasmine shines through too heavily and I'm not a fan of heavy Jasmine. All that's left on my arm after several hours is a strong Jasmine scent which I hate, so as soon as I get it, it's going straight back to the store unfortunately.

I really love Marie Salamagne vanillas… it smells like airy and powdery vanilla with lots of coconut water

Although this is a great scent for Spring and Summer, this could effortlessly carry over into the Autumn. This is a likeable scent, however I don't find myself reaching for it as much as I intended to. It is reminiscent of other fragrances on the market, unfortunately my travel size of this particular perfume has a 2 year shelf life. Please read the bottom of your bottles as the fragrance will go off around that opened "best by date". The fragrance does have decent longevity and projection. I'm not, however, positive on the sillage as I've not been made aware if there is one. It does leave an alluring impression. Great daytime scent, but date night approved. Perfect for warm weather vacations, maybe not so much for the office or healthcare settings. Definitely leans more mature feminine, possibly 25 years +. Pretty one-time purchase.

Got a travel spray to try this scent and it smells so good. It smells a lot like JHAG vanilla vibes to me.

I feel very ambivalent about this...it's nice, but in like a generic way, kind of a warm beach vibe that drys down soft...this feels like something a pretty, tan girl who loves the pool/beach would wear. I am just not her though lol. This is someone else's perfume, not mine. I think I like my summer scents more citrus or berry.

I dont usually like soapy, perfumey, florals but this is good. I find it gently soapy, sunscreeny, light sweetness, floral and coconutty. It's an easy reach day time summer fragrance.

A creamy, powdery coconut and vanilla. Very nice, great for summer, smells a bit like pineapple. For me personally, it's too sweet, but I'm sure it will have a lot of appeal to others. For a tan, elegant, sweet, powerful woman who thrives is the summer and her favourite place is the beach. Has a conditioner/hair mask type of smell, really sweet, may be nauseating for some.

I’ll start by saying this: I usually don’t like coconut notes in perfumes. Actually, I tend to avoid them. That synthetic coconut smell you find in so many shampoos, body washes, and drugstore products? It’s just not for me. But for some reason, this summer I felt like it was time to find a fragrance with a coconut note that I could actually enjoy. It started when I tried Beach Blossom by Jo Malone (which, is more coconut water than coconut itself). I didn’t love it enough to buy it, but it was enough to make me think: “Okay, maybe there is a coconut fragrance out there that works for me.” At the same time, I was looking for something that reminded me of sunscreen. I’m from Rio, but I’ve been living in Canada for a few years now, and I think I was missing that feeling of warmth, summer, and the beach. So I did something I usually don’t recommend: I blind bought Alien Goddess. Since I love the original Alien, I thought: “It’s a Mugler. I find it hard to be disappointed.” And it didn’t disappoint. It was exactly what I was looking for. The opening is basically sunscreen with a coconut water twist. It’s nostalgic and immediately reminds me of summer, but I completely understand why some people might find it a little synthetic or even too much, because it really goes in that direction at first. The funny thing is that the coconut water disappears completely (and I honestly suspect that’s probably the reason I ended up loving it). I get the tropical beachy experience I wanted, but then it fades away and leaves behind a beautiful, comfortable vanilla with the softness of cashmeran. It’s the kind of dry down that makes you want to keep smelling your wrist all the time. The problem? Just when it gets perfect… it disappears. On my skin, that beautiful part lasts less than 4 hours, which is honestly disappointing. I really wish it had better performance. But I loved it. And now it makes sense why I enjoyed Beach Blossom too — apparently the secret for me to like coconut is coconut water. I’m just glad I bought the 10ml.

Smells sweet, feminine, fresh. Light non offensive unlike other Alien scents. It smells EXACTLY to me like Hawaiian Tropic sunscreen the radiating (shimmer) one, cream bottle "sheer touch" I buy the sunscreen just because it smells pretty. So to me I consider it a summer beachy scent. I hate the bottle.

This is clean. Like a cleaning product. Like pool chemicals. Suntan lotion. (positive) Smells like an old bath and body works scent I used to have that was green and I can't recall the same of. This is Fruitger aero. This is Wet and floral. You wear this to the pool. This is like those sexy macro photos of flower petals after a rain.

This was way too hard to find for me for a designer perfume. I was expecting something similar to Beach Walk because people on here have said so! But this is any airport scent to me... No sunscreen vibe at all. It can even be too much for the summer. I've come to realize that I like the idea of a vanilla perfume more than to actually smell it or have it on my skin. I wanted to curate a vibe for myself that is sweet and someone who likes sweet perfumes, but I just can't be that girl.

I tried layering this with Flowerbomb and it smelled like Flintstones vitamins (deragatory) Bad combo, do not try it 🤣

Its good just a bit too floral and powdery on me, I dont get the beach skin vibe at all

Beachy, vanilla, powdery, coconut, white floral, woody, citrusy, musky, floral, radiant, feminine, sensual, seductive, charming, delightful, uplifting, alluring, tempting, addictive, inviting, cozy, comforting On me this opens with refreshing coconut water and radiant and tart bergamot. The heart blooms with lush jasmine and floral and vanilla-y heliotrope. The dry down grows more sensual with powdery bourbon vanilla and cozy and woody cashmeran. This definitely gives beachy vibes. Think of the warm sun on bare skin, a luxe coconut and vanilla sun tan lotion, a gentle salty ocean breeze carrying the scent of lush jasmine and citrusy bergamot, and cozy cashmeran. To me this feels feminine to me, and like it can easily suit women of all ages. I think this works best during the warmer weather of spring, summer, and early fall. I think it’s fitting for any occasion from casual to fancy, including work/school. I was very surprised to find this similar to Gucci Flora Gorgeous Orchid (one of my top favorites!), except minus the green banana note, and with additional coconut, jasmine, cashmeran, and a radiant citrusy bergamot. They both have this delightful powdery and airy vanilla to them, they’re both very summer-y scents, and both are easy reaches. I also get similarities to Beach Walk, Alien Goddess Intense, JHAG Vanilla Vibes, SDJ Rio Radiance/87, Nest Sunkissed Hibiscus, Tom Ford Soleil Blanc, and Valentino DBIR The Gold. I’m a huge fan of beachy/coconut scents, especially during the summer, and this is one of the best. This is especially good for those looking for luxe sun tan lotion scent. For reference, some of my other favorites in this particular category include Tom Ford Soleil Blanc, Nest Sunkissed Hibiscus, Kilian Sunkissed Goddess, Yves Rocher Monoi Eau des Vahines, Bobbi Brown Beach, Kayali Maui in a Bottle, Maldives in a Bottle, JHAG Vanilla Vibes, Lust For Sun, Phlur Beach Skin, Ellis Brooklyn Sand, BBW Coco Paradise, Meet Me in Miami I get really good performance with Alien Goddess. The longevity is on the strong side as it lasts 7-8+ hours on my skin. It doesn't smell like the beach itself, but your skin at the beach. I'm looking for something that smells like the beach with the cool sea air and everything, so this isn't for me, but it's for those that like a sweet warm lotiony vanilla and coconut scent. I don't think it smells very clean, more like you've been lying in the sun for hours and your skin is warm and glistening.

it’s pure coconut sunscreen on me. dry down is a little more sweet but i do not enjoy this.

This perfume has made me realise how much I dislike sunscreeney scents. Sad, I love most of Mugler I've tried so far. But Goddess is a scrubber, almost made me nauseous.

Smells like dried sunscreen on sweaty skin. And I adore the og alien and alien extra intense.

It smells very pretty, but sadly it's not for me really :( I thought I'd really like this one! When I first sprayed it, it sat quite chemically on me (first couple minutes)? Then it dried down into a nice sweet scent. But, sadly that's all I really smelt from it? I was expecting to get more coconut and feel more tropical and beachy base don other people's reviews, but it didn't really smell that way on me 3 It didn't smell distinctive from, liiiike a sweet victoria secret spray *on my skin*? After 30 mins or so it dried super subtle on my skin. Which, I like a subtle fragrence don't get me wrongggg - I only want my fragrence to be detactable if someone's very much in my space. But I don't want to have to respray// if I go on a night out, I want it to still be lingering on me at the end of the night, and I'm not taking my perfume with me lol! I think it would probably stick around for a few hours but? Other fragrances stay on me longer. My pal who I tried it with LOVED it on their skin, so this definitely isn't to slate the perfume as a whole, it just didn't work for me. + She loves a sweet beachy scent, so I guess it went that way for her! I'm proper miffed (bri'ish) that I didn't end up liking this or hyperspace, because I want those bottles on my shelf!!

Absolutely obsessed with this perfume, the coconut and vanilla give it a creamy sweet scent that isn't overly sugary. Smooth and confident, I will definitely be wearing this all summer.

This is great! I’m a big fan of the original Alien, so I sprayed this on at shoppers tonight and I love it. It smells like if vanilla ice cream was made of sunscreen. it’s just a more gourmand take on the original.

I agree with those who say it's syrupy. I actually even kind of picture maple syrup or honey anytime I smell it. It's like you can feel the thickness of this scent in your face. I think it depends on the day, but there are some days I really enjoy this and some days that it's just kind of meh.

Absolutely disgusting. Nauseating. Syrupy artificial coconut hand soap scent. Nothing like original Alien either

I actually really love this, I find it uplifting and just beautiful. Not a in a try hard way, just effortless. The woman I envision wearing this just came from the beach, she wears a casual fit with flip flops and gracefully walks past you. You get a whiff off her perfume and this is what you smell, it fits her aura perfectly, it is her aura. This woman is relaxed, gracefull, truly resting in feminine, she is a anomaly in this busy world. A Goddess. I only had a 2ml tester of this but I need to get a full bottle for the summer ASAP. Longevity to me is 4-5 hours max, so not that good, then again I also get nose blind to scents so maybe its just me... I like to constantly get whiffs of my perfume and this one I don't get that from after 4-5 hours. If you like Beach Walk by Margiela, you will love this. I LOVED beach walk and it was my signature scents for several years, when I smelled Alien Goddes it reminded me of it so much, I thought it was identical till I smelled them side by side. Beach Walk smells more like you put on sunscreen/lotion, whereas this one does smell like a perfume. I'd say this is Beach Walk's older more glamorous sister. I don't like Alien Goddes intense at all btw, to me it smells like a completely different perfume, heavy!

Missing the typical alien dna which I'm actually happy about, such a beautiful beachy scent with hints of sunscreen, longevity is poor though

I just want to say that this perfume smells amazing, almost like a sunblock cream, but in Perfume You can smell the coconut and the vanilla, which is amazing

This is a nice, inoffensive airy vanilla. If you're looking for true Alien DNA, I suggest trying the other flankers. It is a pleasant release from Mugler, but I think they should have released it under its own category instead of as an Alien flanker.
