Picturesque whiskey woody and (slightly) floral fragrance. Very bold and bespoke but I adore it

Nasomatto Baraonda is probably the best alcohol centered fragrance I’ve ever smelled. This is not a fake “boozy” sweetness or some designer idea of whiskey. It genuinely smells like alcohol in a beautiful, niche, wearable way. To me, it gives the image of heated wood or slightly burnt barrel wood that whiskey has soaked into, with this warm sweetness floating nearby, almost like dried fruit or something. What makes it so good is that it does not just smell like a drink. It smells like the whole atmosphere around one: whiskey vapor, warm wood, skin, dark sweetness, and a slightly raw, addictive edge. It changes quickly too, becoming smoother, warmer, and even more interesting as it dries down. If you want a fragrance that smells like a genuine alcohol scent done beautifully, this is perfect. It is not overly sweet, not gimmicky, and not basic at all. It feels alive, unique, and expensive. For me, this is a 10/10. One of the most unique fragrances I’ve ever smelled.

Opens with a powerful whiskey accord that reminds me of amaretto. It's rich, intense, and almost syrupy, smells intensely sweet, like agave nectar mixed with whiskey. As it dries down, it becomes softer. The woods emerge, along with a subtle rose accord. The image that comes to mind is a single rose sitting inside a room full of aging whiskey barrels. I would only recomend this on winter and nights. To my nose, this leans more masculine than unisex. In the end, it wasn't really my style, but it was a fascinating fragrance to experience.

Wow. Just wow. For me opening smells like a smoke from censer, but sweeter. Then it becomes a sweet boozy scent with subtle rose in it. My most favourite from Alessandro Gualtieri yet. 9,5/10, just because it’s only 30 ml.

I get more tea than booze up front. Seems to oscillate between being slightly masc and slightly femme as it dries down. Nice fragrance, though it does fade somewhat quickly.

A beautiful sweet first hour full of green or black tea flavored with peach, vanilla rum, slight woody smokiness of the oak barrel. Next hour adds orange blossoms, candied orange and decent muted rose. Although I would sacrifice the rose, it does not seem so unacceptable and disturbing here. Eternal shame is that towards the fourth hour the projection goes down a lot and the fragrance becomes a skin scent combination of tonka-vanilla with a drop of alcohol extract from the previous ingredients. Drydown therefore seems relatively cheap to me and could be more reflected in the price of the entire 30 ml, where it would not have to be a round 100 Euros but a little less, or the longevity of the sillage could be tweaked... a beautiful signature, attractive and right on the line between seductive and cozy, in my opinion suitable for women with its sweetness and fruitiness, although I understand when the fragrance is unnecessarily attributed to the male generation due to its alcohol content.

Nasomatto Baraonda This is what I’d imagine a well-put-together alcoholic would smell like 🤣 The opening is straight whiskey, but as it dries down, it becomes much smoother, richer and more interesting. I haven’t had many chances to wear this yet because it’s not exactly something I’d wear to work or while running errands. I’d be worried people might think I’d been drinking 🤣 To me, this is the perfect date-night or bar fragrance. It lasts a good amount of time and projects very well. So far, I rate it 8/10.

On first sniff, I was shocked to find myself reminded of any generic, designer, department store fragrance. On my skin, it's immediately sugary, almost to the point of being gourmand. It's sort of fun because it's different, but I think it's too gourmand to me. Suddenly, it becomes powdery and feminine (to my nose, as I see people tend to think this leans masculine). After that it smells like crumbs under a table at a bakery. And after a few hours, my skin smelled like play-doh.

This fragrance smells exactly like the moment you've had two too many whiskey drinks and are about to throw up. It is nauseating, obnoxiously strong, and it is linear, so it smells the same on your clothes for a week. Far too concentrated. I know some of you will read this and think that stronger is better, but this one is thick, cloying, sweet-woody-boozy. I promise, if you've ever been too drunk and you want to feel and smell that way, this is what you should wear. Should be an EDT, or even better, an accord used in a fuller, less claustrophobic fragrance.

Best boozy scent there is, the woods, rose and musks are balanced really well around the whiskey note. I also love that it's not dark or dirty at all unlike Kutay which smells alot edgier with the oud, gives it a strong oaky smell.

An amazing, boozy scent that is legendary in a way. I don't really have to say much else. It's great. I love it. But truth be told. It's way too expensive for what it is. If it were 75ml or maybe even 50ml. Ok, still highly expensive but I'd let it slide. But this price for 30ml...... It gets the overpriced mark from me. There are other amazing boozy, realistic frags out there that offer the same similar booze quality for much better value per ml. French Avenue - Royal Blend Vintage (Extremely Boozy) French Avenue - Royal Blend Bourbon (Extremely Boozy) Bentley - For Man Intense I do love Baraonda. Truly CHERISH it. But put that extra emphasis on cherish..

I just got this so my impression is premature but i excepted to absolutely love it. I mean its booze, rose, musk and woods that sounds delightful on paper. But! it reminds me too much of the smell of vape, the syrupy synthetic smell of vape "E-liquid" i believe its called and it's absolutely not a pleasant smell to me, it's not disgusting and repulsive but to me i don't enjoy that smell what so ever, specially in the opening it smells exactly just like that. The dry down gets nicer and the syrupy synthetic dried fruit smells settles but in my opinion it doesn't go away, the dried fruit accord gets less syrupy but it still has that sweet synthetic quality to it which im not the biggest fan of. Maybe i'll come around to like it more but for now nothing like what i expected. (UPDATE) After more testing, i'm completely wrong on this i need to review it again.

Very nicely blended boozy/woody fragrance with sweet uplifting vibe. I smell a lot of cedar in the drydown.

I personally love this scent. its a nice boozy, woody and rose scent. This is not a safe blindbuy even tho this i one of the most mass-appealing nasomatto fragrance. The longevity and projection is really strong. I think this is a bit overpriced for a 30ml but overall i’d give this an 8,5/10

Photorealistic woody whisky, but replace the sickening alcohol smell with a smooth smile. Perfect mature winter scent

The best boozy fragrance I’ve tried. This has character and the depth that many nasomattos seem to have. I think it can be worn all year as long as the temperature isn’t boiling. Cool summer nights are also absolutely lovely with this.

Very strong. Will overpower any other fragrance if you try to layer it. Its not a bad smell but there is better boozy fragrances out there. I'd take tobacco oud or jazz club over this any day

One of the more mass appealing nasomattos! I know Gualtieri and his brands have gotten a lot of attention more so in the past few years than ever, but I feel that is with good reason! My current favorite boozy fragrance in my collection, absolutely gorgeous in my opinion. It's not just a regular "whisky" fragrance too me, it goes further, to me it explores the amazing facets and notes of what truly make a great whisky.... well great. Gorgeous use of rose, (that signature gualtieri musk slightly toned down), and some amazing woodsy/oak barrel notes. It also produces one of the most addictive scent trails in my opinion! While I don't love everything Gualtieri makes, I sure as hell love this! My personal rating: 9.5/10

This really wasn't what I was expecting from the reviews I have seen of it. It does open up with a strong whiskey note, but it's not the only thing I am getting and if I am being honest I disagree with some other people in the comments saying it's overpowering or it will make you smell like a drunk. To me, this quickly becomes a lovely boozy, floral, woody, ambery scent. Too bad I am not the biggest fan of florals, but as always with Nasomatto the craftsmanship and the scent DNA is both unique and incredible & I think combined with the other notes this is just like pardon where it clearly is still a masculine leaning fragrance. Very rich, honestly I would almost say this is a gourmand. 9/10

Just get Kutay for its price!!

This opens with an almost photorealistic whisky note. Boozy, malty, slightly sweet — like sticking your nose into a glass of good Speyside whisky. As a whisky lover, I absolutely love this opening. It smells rich, warm, and unapologetically alcoholic. That said, I can also see why some people wouldn’t enjoy it. On the wrong person, or in the wrong setting, this could easily come across as “slightly drunk guy” or spilled liquor. It doesn’t hide the booze at all. So, as much as I’d love the pure whisky opening to last longer, I understand why it needs to move into the next chapter for the fragrance to stay wearable and sellable. What makes Baraonda interesting is how it develops. The whisky never disappears, but over time it moves more into the background and becomes deeper and smoother. A jammy, musky rose slowly starts to emerge underneath, carried by soft woods and warm amber. I never would’ve thought rose and whisky would work together, but somehow it really does here. The soft woods also bring oak barrels to mind, which makes perfect sense given the whisky theme running through the fragrance. The drydown feels smooth, woody, boozy, and quietly sensual while still holding onto that unmistakable whisky DNA from the opening. The musky, jammy rose remains in the background throughout. Aside from the intense whisky opening, I actually think this is very wearable — perfect for a night out or a date. If we’re talking realistic whisky in perfumery, for me, this is still the one to beat.

Probably the best boozy fragrance on the market ! Of course it wont please everyone because of his photorealistic whiskey note. But if you are a whiskey lover ... trust me there is nothing that can compete with this olfactive gem. Baraonda opens with volatile liquorous and malty notes, that slowly dries down on a honeyed/woody rose. It never lose the boozy DNA, but it becomes deeper and more sophisticated. Definitely a perfect date or night out fragrance. Its so seductive that you will probably fall in love with yourself at the end ... If you are not a Gualtieri's style fan you should try it anyway ... because its probably the most "classic" fragrance that he made. A real proof that he knows what he's doing and that Nasomatto and Orto Parisi aren't pure marketing fools. What a masterpiece !!

It reminds me of some candy I tried a long time ago, surprisingly nutty. Usually I don’t like sweet fragrances, but this one is sweet in a way that’s not annoying. Perfect for a late date night in a classy place.

"You don't spray Baraonda.You uncork it" is what i saw in a Baraonda review on parfumo, and when i finally got the chance to try it, i find it more accurate than ever, this has choosen itself to be my signature scent, and my favourtie whisky fragrance. Imagine you are in a bar at 3 a.m. The kind of place where the lighting is amber and the secrets are cheap. There is a glass in front of you a single malt cask-strength whisky, neat, one ice cube that has already melted into a thin, apologetic puddle. The wood of the counter is sticky with years of spilled drinks.That is the opening of Baraonda, mot the polite sip of wine at a gallery opening, not the crafted cocktail served with a twist of irony. This is the raw, unvarnished smell of whisky, the peated kind, the kind that tastes like burned earth and regret, like a deep cut type of whisky with no reflux used in the distillation process, almost like you are smelling the spirits. It hits you not gently, but with the insistence of a drunk who has something to say and will not be ignored. But here is the strange thing: almost immediately, something else emerges. Rose. Not the dewy, romantic rose of a Valentine's bouquet. This is a dried rose, petals that were once red, now faded to brown, pressed between the pages of a book you haven't opened in years. It is the ghost of something beautiful, still lingering, still fragrant, even as it crumbles. The whisky and the rose should not belong together. One is rough, masculine, unapologetic. The other is delicate, feminine, nostalgic. And yet, in Baraonda, they dance. Boozy, smoky and leathery whisky with an added jammy, old rose note that make the malty quality more realistic and tamed the booziness a bit, you can also notice a dried fruits accord being added, like raspberries and plums. Baraonda passes hours like a long, slow evening. the scent transforms. Not dramatically. Not with theatrical shifts. But like the tide, pulling back to reveal what was always there beneath. A reiseinous, sticky, malty amber base, it's sweet, fruity and oaky, the booziness from the opening is tamed down yet still act as a main character, the rose is jammy, citronic added depth to the overall fragrance.By the dry down, you are no longer in the bar.You are in the aftermath.The glass is empty. The rose has turned to dust. The wood is still warm from your palm. And you are, perhaps for the first time completely, terrifyingly, sober. Baraonda is Italian for "chaos." The chaos of a crowded bar, yes. But also the chaos of wanting. Of desire that has no name and no end. Of nights that blur into mornings, and mornings that forgive nothing. It is, in the end, a fragrance about pleasure. Raw, imperfect, fleeting. And because it is fleeting, it is beautiful. Most fragrances are written. They have a beginning, a middle, an end. You can wear them like a narrative, comfortable in the knowledge of where they will take you. Baraonda is not written. It is improvised. A jazz solo played at midnight in a room thick with smoke. It will not hold your hand. It will not apologize for its roughness. But if you let it, if you stop trying to understand and simply feel,it will carry you somewhere you've never been. The perfomance of this fragrance is also elegant, Baraonda on my skin last about 10 hours, but it never scream loudly, the projection is moderate, not room filling, not cloying, quietly present on your skin. I think you could pull this off on a spring/summer night or evening, even though the scent is mainly suitable for winter

in a small mediterranean village fishermen are celebrating. its late, they are gathered around a wooden table and enjoying various drinks, mostly beers. there is not a lot of light there and your memory is hazy. its nice, but you are still searching for something. the blend is very interesting. i dont know whether i like it but the quality is there.
