A sweet musk is what you get with this. No leather or even suede unfortunately.

Not sure if anyone mentioned this before, but I find similarity to Pardon which I really like too with the addition of birch (a bit like paint sort of scent). In my opinion drydown is definitely floral. If you are looking for more leathery frag you should look further. Not excactly what I expected (blind buy), but 100% love it.

Well... this is about the most unusual perfume I've smelled, and probably one of the most genuinely unisex fragrances in the literal sense. I almost like a battle of the sexes. Blamage opens with this loud, sparkling, spicy and totally testosterone fuelled musk, while at the very same time a sugary, sweet feminine fruit cocktail is trying to steal the show. Somewhere in the background I also get what I percieve as an incense note, which is nearly floral and very pretty. Somehow none of it gets along but then it does. It shifts between clashing and harmonising, dirty and beautiful, sickly and strangely addictive. It's not an easy perfume and it's certainly not for the faint of heart.. There is so much tension, and that's exactly what makes it so compelling. I'm not entirely sure I need a full bottle, but I also can't stop thinking about it... Fair warning though: this stuff is potent. One spray goes a very long way, so approach the trigger with a little respect.

BleekBleek's review below is spot on and describes this amazing scent perfectly. My only wish is that it came in a larger size. Absolutely gorgeous and quite unique fragrance.

One of the most unique scents I own, it's classy. It has become my Sunday scent and it can't be beat wether its for church or just going for a drive around town in my porsche. it just gets the job done. I am starting to take a break from it now that summer is here but boy I can't wait for colder weather again. 10/10

This is wearable art. Blamage is musky, woody, slightly floraly and sweet. I’m not sure exactly what the fruit is, but it reminds me of aromatic muscat grapes. I personally do not find this to be animalic or smoky, it’s more sweet, musky, aromatic, and woody. It smells like a dewy forest floor covered in fallen fruit that’s rapidly ripening. The leather is not overbearing, but natural smelling and I think it’s what brings this profile together. I wouldn’t wear this in the hot summer heat, but any other time is fair game. This is one of my more unique scents and I’m glad it’s in my collection. 9/10

We have released our documentary about the creation of Blamage for Nasomatto here: https://thenosefilm.gumroad.com/l/blamage Witness the adventurous quest for a perfume, called Blamage, by rebel perfumer Alessandro Gualtieri aka The Nose. He wants to design this fragrance by abandoning all the common rules for making perfumes. For inspiration he travels around the world, but the farther he goes, the more he seems to disrupt not only his environment but also himself. Will Blamage turn out to become the perfect mistake?

This is such a unique and special scent! I blind bought it and not disappointed at all. Smells like a white forest covered in a thin layer of snow, I also get a tiny bit of peach and a manly accord that I can’t put my finger on (maybe the leather?) overall I think this will work for all seasons except super hot summer days.

Анонім

a beautiful mix of soft silky feral a bit funky musks (muscone, muscenone and ambrettolide) and soft woods. there is a synthetic shampoo like sweet and tart fruity/floral like accord at the start that never fully disappears but fades "slowly" in to the musks and woods. also there is a hint of somthing metalic in it.

Had a sample of this that I sprayed on just before work, never had anyone comment on any fragrance I wore beforehand. My gm asked why i smelled like an old man, so that dropped my confidence a bit that day.

Анонім

Weather-beaten suede, birch wood chips, and dried apricot skins is what this smells like to me. Very musky on my skin with some smokiness for contrast. I like this a lot more than I should, and it's definitely a 'clean' palate refresher if you find yourself looking for something new that isn't gourmand, floral, etc. This works best in transitioning weather, my little sample lasted all day and very noticeable when I moved the arm I dabbed on. Definitely worth a sample and I'm interested in a full bottle.

Gay suede. That’s what I keep feeling lol. I really love it. To me it’s clean and warm-ish and a bit uncanny(?). Someone below said arrogant and that feels right, idk. Love it. This guy and Silver Musk just sing to me.

Paint stripper, rotting birch or musky peaches in a bottle. Just as confusing as Fantomas. Some days its paint stripper, and some others its the other two. Good scent. Expensive, but hey, at least i get to guess what fragrance im wearing after spraying it, as it smells different everytime!

I can relate to @Twanerton, there is this mystical nostalgia you may or may not have yet experienced surrounding this smell, I can imagine this specific scene where you’re in a snowy birch forest wearing white gothic clothes, you run and play around with your friend, throwing each other on the snow and decayed woods on the ground while laughing and giggling, you get tired and go home to your cabin to enjoy a hot meal with your family and whilst sitting on the chair around the table, your wet clothes smell of this particular scent and a core memory is stored of this smell within your mind. It is so mysterious and imaginative!

Анонім

Smells mysterious and dry down is very beautiful only wish it could last longer and silage to be better, lasts somewhere 3-4 hours with good silage then slowly starts to faid still picking it up after 6-8 hours but by that time silage is almost gone.anyway very interesting scent, would buy again just to have it.

Анонім

The nostalgia from this scent is so mysterious to me, I cannot put my finger on it and yet it is something so visceral. Like a dream that you forgot but comes to you for an instant only to fade again. I imagine myself as a child at camp in the northeast, running around, coming across an old rotten birch that you could smush with your feet. Mossy and decayed in a way that is sweet, and yet with a grittiness. We get back to the cabin, and our wet clothes smell like this yet somehow it’s so pleasant and unique. It puts me somewhere like that. This may be very personal.

Анонім

It reminds me of Kerosene Blackmail, just fresher.

Анонім

Starts out sharp, a bit like fresh paint but also the sharp freshness of birch wood tar. Heavy on the birch tar, but there’s also something sweet and fruity there to balance it out. Leathery, smokey, clean, and warm, fruity, sterile - a lot of opposites wrapped together. Really strong projection, one spray goes a long way. Not an every day scent for me, but amazing when I want to feel confident.

After trying a sample of this,i had to buy a full bottle...This is unisex to me and insanely sexy... If i had a girl that wore this i would go crazy...Smells very musky, warm and cuddly...Also kinda airy, kinda synthetic, kinda sterile clean..Weird but perfect when you want to smell clean and inviting...Lasts around 5 hours and longer on clothes...Pretty easy to go noseblind so 2-3 sprays is all you need... Bottle is a work of art as usual

Анонім

Crazy. I don't even know what to say, so I will just throw some words: musky, leathery, woody, synthetic, piercing, cold. Still this doesn't explain this scent and I don't have any idea, any association when I smell it, I go knucklehead. Masculine in my opinion

Анонім

it smells like those wet wooden sticks you would pick up and play with as a kid. Interesting to say the least. I don't know when and where I would wear this though.

Анонім

something happened with this scent too. I bought one of the very first bottles in 2014 when it came out, it was so strong that two sprays filled a room, wherever I went, I swam in this scent, and i couldn't even wash it off. then I bought it again yesterday and it smells like a mild detergent, and fades away in a couple of hours. I don't understand why they have to do this to everything.

Анонім

Uncalculated, attractive, and magnetic abstract art of chaos. Sweet fruity floral opening for four minutes; everything is well balanced, then, hints of bright wood get ahead of everything else with leathery notes right behind it, with fresh aldehydes & musky undertone. Ten minutes in, it leans toward sweet fruity again; it leaves you in awe here as if it’s alive! The opening is interesting. It’s sweet, creamy, leathery, woody with hints of sour, bitter green notes (herbal green), all wrapped in a musk blanket. Again it’s well balanced , attractive, smells expensive & royal. The heart is floral, fruity, musky with creamy woods & leather, no bitterness here, it’s more floral musky & dreamy. Creamy, silky soft, smooth yet effervescent & smoky. The scent is almost chewy & velvety. The base is more creamy, floral, woody, musky, leathery, with labdanum birch wood, cedarwood, dry flowers & vanilla It’s both light & deep. With an appetizing aroma, it smells inviting, delicious, and mouth-watering. It evokes your appetite & senses, but in no way is it gourmand. For me, Blamage is nostalgic, warm, cozy, sensual & futuristic olfactory. It’s an abstract art take on a floral fruity leathery chypre masterpiece Yet another magnificent creation of the most controversial perfumer, the genius Alessandro Gualtieri IG Sir.Fragrances

am i the only one who cant smell this?

Анонім

i really like this! smooth and mature, feels very unisex to me. the listed notes are accurate and well-executed, with pleasant and heady flowers on drying. bright, realistic birch is dominant, easily one of the best wood notes i can think of. i also get something sweet on the back close to vanilla or tonka bean in addition to a slight fruitiness, both blend perfectly with the other notes. not a safe blind buy but absolutely worth a try.

Анонім

Disappointing.. I expected something melancholic, gloomy, mysterious with a glance of darkness, and idk what I got honestly.

Анонім

very particular and unique scent. smells like painted birch trees. woody, musky, and an industrial scent that i seem to love. masculine and long-lasting. 10/10

So so happy to have found this perfume. Its my 3rd Nasomatto and I think its my favorite. It is very woody ( birch) smell like the white cap, but it also is very musky and light. I don't know how to describe it but its light and deep at the same time. The scent is airy but it has this deep layered personality. For a scent this woody its not straight up birch. Its very elegant and smooth which is why I think this is perfectly unisex but I understand why ppl see it more leaning masculine. Anyway, if you love woody perfumes especially unisex ones, seriously go for at least a sample. Im so scared it may be discontinued or reformulated ahah

previous review is spot on. to me it's like late april, rained yesterday but the ground is dry, and i'm painting a rickety fence in someone's backyard where they keep a garden

Truly a masterpiece for me. Smells so weird and pleasant simultaneously, starts with birch juice which transforms into wet birch sticks with smooth musks and fizzy suede. I walked through snowy forest listening to mellow rock when wearing this aroma and I felt such a captivating and mysterious atmosphere around me... It's not for casual mood for sure, but it's so beautiful in its uniqueness. I strongly recommend checking this fragrance out
