Gourmand done right. An edible quality, with the lemon cake opening tone and a rich, spicy, amber dry down.
First, Ani smells like lime (probably the bergamot). Then it smells fresh (probably the ginger and rose). Then it smells green (the green notes and patchouli). Then it dries down into a pretty basic vanilla. It's yucky to me.
Just picked this up at an airport and it’s the most beautiful vanilla gourmandy fragrance with some nice green fruits and citrus added. Dry down is a little bit spicier than opening in a good way. Longevity8-9hrs 3hrs really good projection and 6 of decent projection. Love it !!
I had high hopes for this fragrance till i got my hands on this perfume but it wasn’t for me it was a headache in a bottle to sweet to strong I tried ao many times gave it 3 shots each time it was worse usually I don’t sell perfume but this I couldn’t stand the smell of it so i sold it
I started pretty iffy on this one, but with some time and maceration it became really special. At first I could barely smell the citrus, and all I really got was a confusing mix of spices that stuck around but never really progressed into anything. After a few weeks of letting it sit, I can finally pick out the notes and I’m confident this will be a great scent by winter. The citrus and the ginger are definitely present though they’re tamer than you would think, I really get more of the cardamom and rose off the rip. The vanilla comes in strongest when the initial notes fade, and it stays center through the rest of the dry down. It’s sweet but not too sweet, and even though a lot of comparisons here say “it’s a spiced lemon cake” it never stays into the edible gourmand territory for me. Perfectly unisex.
Very nice and soft, full of vanilla, sweet citrus and wood. But I’m not sure if it's worth this price tag. To me, this has a very luxurious scented-candle quality. What I smell is a perfect combination of warm vanilla biscuits with bergamot, somewhere inside a cedarwood cabin, or perhaps next to a Christmas tree. For the price, though, I find it not layered, exciting or distinctive enough. It does last incredibly well. I could still smell the vanilla very faintly the next day. EDIT: I just sprayed it when my colleague said 'Did someone put on Blistex?' Very accurate description and says it all ...
Through the opening till the end (if it ever has end) is amazing!
Scents like this always leave me pondering the same question; why would anyone (male or female) want to smell like this. Off the bat, this is a rich, sugary, lemon/vanilla cake as many others have described. After about 10 minutes, it starts drying down to something less loud but still sweet and ‘cake-y’ if that makes sense. This scent deserves a decent score but it’s the usability that I just don’t see, that’s said, this is all a game of opinions and personal choice!
Forget abot the notes listed here. This is an overpriced lemon-cake an attractive barista pressures you to buy at her family founded café destined to close after the slightest rent increase.
Mmmmm smells exactly like the entire process of making lemon/ginger drizzle cake, right down to the extra sweet but not too sweet drizzle over the top (with a little bit of random delicate powdered sugar). The sweetness of the cake as it bakes, the remainders of the peel on the chopping board, the so uniquely fluffy vanilla that you can’t help thinking of the anticipating soft sponge cake. Utterly addictive. The bergamot, benzoin and cardamon and provide a lot of body and depth but this is so well blended it’s quite difficult to pick them out. Truthfully and perhaps sacrilegiously, I don’t want any of the lemon / citrus / ginger as much as I just want the vanilla itself but just as nuclear…. Oops! I do get a bit of a playdoh note at the start, but I really don’t mind it, if anything it makes it more interesting. a baker should wear this. A bit too expensive on the love vs cost ratio, I will happily use up my tester but I won’t be (re)purchasing. I have previous despised lemon / ginger / citrus vanillas and this is the only one I like, score!!!
I like Ani in any bottle, any year. The older any bottle gets, Ani gets richer and more interesting to my nose. I especially like the fact that the ginger is of a softer variety making it less overwhelming and more of a team player. For me. It's a warm, vanilla baked good iced later in the dry down with a not very sweet ginger/citrus glaze. But first it zings and wakes up your nose. Not masculine or feminine - just a great scent to go about your day with.
smells like opening the oven after baking a fresh lemon cake. Lemon zest, vanilla and sweet spices: absolutely delicious. If I owned a bakery, I'd spray this at the entrance and watch people line up. In a world full of chocolate- apple pie and boring plain-vanilla gourmands, Ani keeps it fresh by smelling like lemon cake. Bon appétit. 9/10
Pro tip: try and get the older bottle with the leather labels
finally a Nishane perfume I like! smells like the most delicious, spicy and citrusy cake you ever tasted. sweet, charming and warm.
Cute cardamom, mid
Beautiful soft, powdery vanilla, ginger and blackcurrant opening. Dries down into a gorgeous creamy, fruity vanilla with a little woods. Feels like a really well balanced fragrance and I love the blackcurrant note which I can smell for the duration of the wear. Performance is really strong, hard to go wrong with this at all.
On first spray, I get a lot more bergamot and it feels almost lemon cake-y. Once it dries down, it's a woody vanilla with spice. But the spice isn't too peppery or cardomom-y (no christmas candle vibes). It's just enough ginger and pepper to add warmth and depth to the vanilla (but you can't exactly tell what kinds of spice it is unless you see the notes) but it's not the star. All the notes are very well balanced to make this a beautiful woody vanilla that feels complex. Electimuss Imperium was too citrusy and white florals on my skin but Ani was what I wanted; more wood and vanilla. If you like Imperium, you'd also likely enjoy this one.
My first bottle broke, and the scent lingered in my room for a very long time. Cardamom, one of my favorite notes, here adds that elegant facet—slightly green, slightly mentholated—like a spark that captivates and stirs curiosity. Ani offers a vanilla that I consider one of the most realistic and exquisite, beautifully blended into the fragrance. The opening with ginger is vibrant and meshes seamlessly with the rest of the notes, all carefully constructed. For a while, it was my signature scent. I received many compliments, and my ex‑partner loved it when I wore it. With a bit of mischief, I would spray some on their scarf so my presence lingered even when I wasn’t around. The dry down leaves a sticky sensation, probably from amber and vanilla, combined with other accords I adore. For me, Ani is addictive and truly special. It’s a fragrance masterfully executed, and all the fame it enjoys is well‑deserved because the scent itself makes that reputation
Very nice opening. I appreciate the citrus and ginger without it being too sweet. It is a scent that you could probably wear in summer as well. The projection is average. However, it dries down to an unremarkable sandalwood-cedar-vanilla that we have too much of in the fragrance world. It lasts around 8 hours on my skin.
I recently got this as a sample as I normally do in order to save money and not lose money on blind buys. This is very nice and sexy scent, it leans more feminine but unlike some others a man can pull it off. This scent is very well made but it can smell too strong if oversprayed. Not terrible just like you used too much. Other than that it’s very nice.
A fresh citrus/ginger opening which then doesn't go away but instead clings onto a vanilla base. So incredibly good. Tasty sugary lovely. Super awesome presentation. Heavy cap. Square bottle.
I really really tried to love this but something about it smells really dated. The opening is quite strange too maybe it’s the ginger or green notes. The spiced vanilla aspect is nice but it just doesn’t work with eveyrhign else
undeniable high quality, such a cozy and warm, deep velvety vanilla fragrance with spices but…the benzoin makes it a touch too smoky for me, It reminds me of Reine Divine Tentation & Benjoin Boheme by Diptyque.. 2nd wearing - smoked vanilla & occasionally get a whiff of glazed ham. It’s grown on me and I don’t hate it but not sure how often I want to wear it. Once I finish my decant I probably won’t buy a bottle.
A Modern Classic: The Sharp Wit of Ani From the very first spray, Ani greets you with the electric, crisp arrival of ginger. Unlike those predictable, overly sweet vanilla scents, this one offers a much more intellectual opening. The spicy structure, harmonized with bergamot, immediately commands attention the moment you enter a room. Over time, that sharpness mellows; the creamy texture of benzoin and sandalwood transforms the vanilla into a true olfactory feast. That signature trail it leaves behind with your movement throughout the day is unapologetically bold. Thanks to its 30% concentration, it clings perfectly to the skin, rendering any need for midday touch-ups entirely unnecessary. Final Verdict: Who Should Wear It? (Assessment) Performance: 10/10 Sillage: 9/10 Usage: It pairs magnificently with cooler weather, cashmere textures, and tailored jackets. Rather than blending into confined spaces, it elevates you in any environment where you intend to leave your signature. Stay with scent and your own authenticity...
Ani is literally a stunner! Most perfect blended vanilla scent without being cloying or cupcake gourmand. The lemony opening is so bright and vibrant and than it hits you! The most beautiful dry down ever. She’s so elegant and bold! I added it her to my collection way too late.
Wow this is nice I smell citrus and vanilla in the opening. Quite masculine and I wouldn’t mind wearing in the heat. Beautiful
a simple example of this perfume is, ginger vanilla cake :)
this is nice, just too basic for my taste. not a huge fan of the ginger and benzoin with this one. very masculine, wish the vanilla was a bit more prominent but it’s fine. not for me
Is it me or I prefer Spectre ghost over this?
My go to winter fragrances 10/10
