Love Potion

i got this for a bottle shape mostly. The scent is fine, but I can't get rid of an impression, or a memory, of a woman that would be wearing an acrylic cardigan and get sweaty in public transport and that's how her deodorant/BO smells like

An inexpensive perfume that punches way above its weight class. It changes as you wear it, Yesterday it was more dry on me, and today it's more rounded. All the notes are there, and it's smooth and well blended. The bottle is very striking as well which is something I love in perfumes. I'm very happy to add this in on rotation. I think it would layer well with roses (valentines day?) . If the notes are notes you enjoy,, this is a safe blind buy - especially at 22 euro.

Liquor-filled chocolates — that’s all I can smell. I used to love this fragrance when it first came out 15 years ago. Back then, I was more into light, citrusy scents, yet this one made me feel like a dark femme fatale — mysterious and dangerous. It also gave me terrible headaches every time I wore it, but I was willing to suffer for the mood. Over a year ago, I bought a second bottle purely out of nostalgia. My taste has changed since then, and I thought it would suit me perfectly now. I do still like it, but I don’t love it anymore. The magic of the potion has worn off. It's still enjoyable, but not quite enchanting anymore. I find it a bit cheap and synthetic, lacking the depth and complexity I once thought it had. The bottle is undeniably beautiful, but I don’t remember the cap being this difficult to open. Mine also arrived slightly bent at the top.

A sensual gourmand that caresses the senses with notes of vanilla, gentle rum, and chocolate. Creamy and sweet in a balanced, refined way. This is another one of my favorite scents. Rich and dark. Slightly spicy. It feels like it draws you in. Just the slightest sweetness. I always imagine a sorceress or an evil queen would wear this sent to cast a spell on her beloved.

Absolutely cheap and synthetic base. It basically smells like very cheap synthetic cherry. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

This was a difficult fragrance to find but I'm glad I did! The rum and ginger notes make the opening a bit spicy but not in a cologne type of way. This is quickly followed by the cacao and vanilla with perhaps the lightest hint of coffee behind. It drys down to a lovely, close to the skin gourmand - which may be a good thing as the notes are delicious but powerful. Nothing like what I've smelled in the "reminds me of" showing HP or Alien. I've also managed to get my hands on a bottle of Oriflame Midnight Wish - will have to review once it arrives. Overall, I'm pleasantly surprised.

The opening is quite harsh and plain alkohol like, it made me wonder what was wrong with the perfume. That disappears quite quickly and the spice come through together with a very faint vanilla-like coffee vibe. The dry down comes quite quickly giving a warm gourmand half sweet half spicy scent that lingers a few hours. Only lingers, it doesn't project much. Nice scent, sensual and good if you want to keep it private and close to skin, but I'm disappointed with how it performs overall on me. I wish it was stronger and projected better, then it would have been a real winner.

This is a love for me. Warm, a little bit spicy, an elegant gourmand that has depth and it doesn't make you smell simply like a dessert, although you can definitely get the chocolate note. It has something seductive and alluring and I keep returning to this in cold weather.

I having it from 3 years ago and i totally fall in love with it so i save it for special occasions but honestly it's stuck in my clothes for 3 days and the fourth day i can smell a hint of chocolate or woods I'm not sure which one i feel it

Such a unique fragrance! I've never smelled a perfume that smells like it. It's loud, warm, and potent, so be careful when you spray it, as you might be overwhelmed by the scent or cause someone a migraine. It's sensual but in a femme fatal kind of way. She is sexy, bold, and alluring. Definitely a cold-weather night type of perfume, I can't imagine someone wearing this in warmer weather. I don't know much about the notes but it smells nice in the air

The most beautiful perfume in the whole world. Love magic in a bottle. I have never smelled anything like it, magically indescribably good. A hidden gem in the multitude of expensive perfumes that are repetitive and similar to each other.

Absolutely delicious!

I can't even really explain in words how bad I wanted to adore this fragrance. I owned it roughly ten years ago, and it did have all of the notes that are listed above.This was purchased recently and I don't know what happened, but it's a mess. You get slapped over the head with the floral note. And then a little bit of tonka, a pinch of the mandarin and sandalwood. The chocolate is gone and I am so angry. And the bottle for this is so stunning that it looks like it should contain a magical potion. What have they done? The dry down smells like lilies, baby powder and sandalwood. This was a decant from someone I met in a chat group so it is always possible that this is not the actual fragrance. I am going to order a sample from the actual company and give it a full day in court, so to speak, before I make any final decisions.

i bought it because loved the notes but i cant smell anything other than vanilla, in the opening you can smell cherry but that fade quickly it lasts long but literally not projection or silage at all the bottle look really good tho so i use it as room decoration too

For such a low price, this is a lovely perfume. I love the bottle. Such a boozy, tasty fragrance. If you are looking for a REALLY spicy scent, this may not be what you are looking for (for comparison, I find Crystal Noir stronger and way more spicy than Love Potion). The rum and ginger are really strong in the first impression, but after that the perfume pretty much loses its magic and sadly becomes an almost skin scent for me. I find its longevity weak. The dark chocolate does not smell synthetic to me, but it could be richer in aroma. I can't pick up coffee and can smell tonka and lily very hardly. Tangerine keeps the scent alive, although not so strong. Overall it's really good for its price and I really like it. It's sweet, warm and slightly gourmand. It would be much better if it lasted longer.

It was a blind buy and a big mistake. Everybody say it's sweet, heavy, gourmand...but i think it's nothing. I couldn't understant it is a mass hysteria or my bottle isn't original.

Aren’t the notes close to Burberry goddess?

I first smelled this perfume years ago when my mom was an Oriflame rep. I remember loving it as a teen but I felt it was too mature for me at the time. Loved smelling it in the bottle though. I recently saw this on eBay and decided to get it for nostalgic reasons. Funny how our noses never forget a scent even if you haven’t smelt something in over a decade. It smells just how I remember: warm, sweet, a little boozy, very feminine and sexy. I see myself wearing it for a date night. I pick up the rum, vanilla, tonka and sandalwood. The chocolate and coffee are vague so don’t expect a yummy gourmand but it’s still a sweet and seductive fragrance. A lot of the comments say it doesn’t last but on me I get at least 5 hours of wear time. Projection is moderate but for a scent this sweet I wouldn’t want it to be a beast and fill up a room. It would be too overwhelming. To my nose this is just right. Overall is it groundbreaking? Probably not but it’s a great date night cheapie that smells sexy and feminine. The bottle is gorgeous and to me it looks and smells more expensive than it is.

Cheap and nasty generic perfume that doesn't match the notes. No noticeable cacao. Quite sweet. Pretty bottle. Headache inducing

I work in Oriflame and this not being my personal favorite I must admit it has a distinct character. By far has been my No1 Best Selling Oriflame fragrance till this year that All or Nothing Amplified is out. It’s a winter EDP. I smell chocolate , vanilla , cocoa & rum. Significant sillage & duration on my skin. Customers return for this one.

Another disappointment by Oriflame. Doesn't last even 1h, no sillage...nothing. It's not worth even the 25 euro.

I blind bought this one based on the amazing reviews here and I don't like it at all. It smells just very cheap and soapy, nothing chocolaty, vanilla or gourmand about it. There is just an awful mix of coffee, ginger, orange and lily, that thankfully doesn't last at all. Maybe it's the wrong season for it, or maybe it's my skin. While the other Oriflame perfumes work fine on me (I own both Amber Elixir and Infinita which are lovely for their price), this one was a miss. Disappointed, so will be returning it to the store I bought it from even though it was so cheap.

This is fantastic stuff! I can't believe more people don't know about/wear this- it beats out all the similar perfumes on the market, and for a proper price! You will want to spray with wild abandon and drink it up! Best of its class, for sure!

Slightly gourmand, sexy, sweet and spicy. Moderate longevity and strong sillage, amazing quality to cost ratio!

For me this is lovely. I don't love the first ten minutes but they are ok but after that and all day long it's simply lovely. Warm, delicious, sweet but not cloying. It's spicy and sensual and lovely. It doesn't shout, it's comfortable and relaxing but it is beautiful.

I think that they've already changed the formula just because it's not last long as my old bottle and the cacao/chocolate note is not sharp as the old one too. Compare on 2 hands and you will find which is different
