A freshie without Ambroxan or modern sweetness. Truly terrible 5 second opening...then functional. ....it's fine. Otherwise, unremarkable, except it being PdM's best freshie...which is sadly remarkable. PdM can't seem to make a freshie that is standout and can compete with it's spicier, denser options. Get a sample first, because it's very hard to justify $200 for something that does nothing special.

It isnt bad, smells soapy and peppery kind of gingery but not very heavy, i however do believe its the most basic PDM I own and therefore makes me question the amount I paid for it

I love Castley. It’s inoffensive and versatile. I always enjoy smelling my forearm again and again when I wear it. I purchased a 2ml to sample and eventually loved it enough to buy the 5ml atomizer earlier in 2026. If they had a 10ml I would’ve purchased that! I’m almost done with the bottle now so I’ve clearly worn it enough in the roster of 5 other 10ml atomizer scents. Full disclosure I am a big Parfum de Marley fan. I will be buying the full bottle on a certain discounter once they have that huge sale again. ~ Chud

i have a full-bottle of castley. it smells decent but nothing to get too excited about. i think it's a little too heavy to wear as a signature scent. i would save this for chilly days, maybe during the fall ,and only in the evening or at night. i heard some people say this smells like boss bottled beyond, i might get that over this, this is a little too pricey for what you're getting, the boss one seems more mass-appealing as well.

Анонім

Smells nice but was expecting something more interesting for the price. It smells very familiar like shower gel and a bit generic in the drydown. Smells more designer than niche.

Анонім

A good fragrance that does exactly what it was created to do and does it very well.

Анонім

Easy reach safe peppery woodsy scent. 8.5/10

Анонім

Too generic for the price. It smells good but not worth $400. I’d buy it again only if it was under $150.

Анонім

Selling a bottle of this - around 105ml left (UK/EU only) - message me for details

Анонім

Extremely underrated! Very easy to reach and very pleasing smell. Mass appealing while maintaining niche qualities. A bit overpriced though.

Анонім

Don't get me wrong because this smells good. The only problem is that it's nothing special for what it is. Who wants to pay PDM prices for something you could get for a fraction of the price? This simply doesn't compare to the other PDM freshies like Greenley and Sedley.

So I have own this since the release. When I tried it at the store I thought it was great. When I got my bottle in I was somewhat disappointed. I have worn it off and on since and it has developed quite a bit. I put it on this morning and oh my goodness it is like a whole different fragrance... performance wise. It os like a gentleman's Imagination. Somewhat complex, I get much more development than imagination. I tend to like most PDM offerings. I consider them a very wearable niche company. Get all my PDM from discounters so I am happy with the purchase. 8/10

Анонім

Doesn't remind me of sedley y'all be tripping. I absolutely love castley and how natural it is so good. They ain't no rose in this at all. Take that off

Анонім

I think it’s great if you can consider it in some way or another its own thing or a combination of any other fragrances, but quite honestly, all houses of fagrances basically work off of each other in certain formulas because notes are a free-for-all and anyone can choose any note(s) and/or raw materials and any blend they want to put into creating a fragrance…., but getting back to and considering Castley, whatever you think about it in terms of how it performs on your skin chemistry, to me and for my skin chemistry, the dry down is definitely one the Top 20 most unique colognes I’ve smelt and worn out of a collection of 300.

Анонім

This is such a great everyday fragrance. It’s very simple for a niche fragrance yet sophisticated. Longevity is mid but great for workdays. This is similar to Boss Bottled Beyond but NOT the same by any means. Great fragrance for your collection if you do not own a fresh everyday fragrance.

Анонім

I keep giving this wears in the hopes my opinion changes, but no this remains as headache-inducing as the first time I wore this. There is some aromachemical that RWALLY doesn’t agree with me. Combine that synthetic quality with black pepper and blackberry sweetness and you have a scent that’s guaranteed to annoy anyone within a 5 foot radius of you.

Анонім

The opening really smells like a mix of Sedley and imagination but it goes away pretty quickly and is replaced by a spicy fresh woods with bergamot. Super long longevity especially on clothes; it gets 24+ hours on fabrics, 8-10 hours on skin.

Анонім

Probably one of the weakest from the house; its a potent blast of acidic tart fresh bergamot & a heavy hand a savory pepper. Its a generic DNA thats existed in perfumery for decades & it seems PDM keeps pushing itself into mainstream direction - which is fine, do what sells, but theres not much else going on with this scent - the neroli & petitgrain are faintly present. Its still okay but for the price point, performance & simplicity its just not acceptable. . . 2025 was a terrible year for PDM (Castley/Extrait Line) - lets hope Althair Exclusif delivers.

Анонім

There is a reason why this is my signature scent its my favorite in my entire collection. Spicy peppery fresh soapy scent like luxurious masculine shampoo. Don’t believe the hate on this fragrance its so good i got numerous compliments from it, girls love this type of DNA. i barely got this 2-3 weeks ago and i already put a good size dent in it.

Castley is an easier to wear version of Bois Imperial which, in turn, is a more wearable version of Ganymede. I own all 3, I love all 3, and the thread that ties them all together is the lab-created note of akigalawood. Ganymede came first in 2019, created by one of today's current star perfumers, Quentin Bisch. Ganymede is challenging, it's otherworldly, and it's literally impossible to describe in normal perfumery terms. The descriptors I've seen generally focus on futuristic, robotic, outer space themes, and these would be completely fair. It's leather seats in a spaceship with its own patchouli plant growing in the kitchen. 8.5/10. Mr. Bisch then moved on to a new company and created Bois Imperial in 2020. The heart of this fragrance is quite similar, and upon first sniff you can instantly recognize the Ganymede DNA, but this time he brought the scent back down to earth, so to speak. Extremely masculine, a little dark, very woody, very green, and a little bit humid - like a forest right after the rain stops. It's still a bit challenging, but much less so than it's older brother from outer space and much more wearable. 9.5/10 Then came Castley in 2025. PDM took the framework of Bois Imperial and made it infinitely more wearable and MUCH more familiar. So familiar, in fact, that I ran a layering experiment to confirm my suspicion: Bois Imperial + Sedley = Castley. It's not a dead-on 1:1, but it's very close. I'm not mad at it at all, in fact, I'm quite impressed. PDM literally turned the impossibly difficult original framework of Ganymede into an extremely versatile, all-season fresh fragrance that actually performs. The all-consuming projection of Ganymede, toned down a bit in Bois Imperial, is toned down a bit further in the much fresher Castley, making it perfectly office-safe. On my skin, it lasts for 9-10 hours, and whatever gets on your shirt will stay there until you do your laundry. 9/10. While I do enjoy Bois Imperial just a bit more overall, Castley is simply much more versatile, wearable, and likeable. Side Note: you WILL eventually go nose-blind to Castley even while it's still performing quite well. Last week I thought it was gone around the 6 hour mark until my wife asked me if I had re-sprayed, which I had not.

It’s take of Parfums De Marly on LV imagination … I get more florals here and has definitely more wait to it in the base…I prefer it over Imagination… performance is average

Анонім

I am very much opposed to the concept of a 'signature scent'. But if I WAS to choose one, this would be a top-five candidate for sure. On my second bottle already. I just keep reaching for it. It is, to me, a more mature, more masculine version of what LV Imagination could be. Castley smells great, is uplifting to wear, and performs very well. Hands down my favorite PDM fresh offering.

Анонім

Honestly I'm starting to love this one, at first it was a like and now I really love it! Super pleasant smell and more interesting than sedley but not as unique as greenley. I love all three but this one is the more masculine of the three. I do get slight imagination vibes in the dry down but they smell different.

Анонім

Such. An. Underrated. Masterpiece. Blind bought this and I must say it is such an interesting fragrance. Women love it. Lasts ages on clothes.

Анонім

A cold and aloof scent—it’s almost like the scent of someone who’s still standing strong and fighting back despite all the bad things. I don’t know why, but I love it!

Анонім

Nothing special with this one. I purely bought it because I like the PDM brand and was looking for a good office scent. The longevity and projection is decent at best. If you are looking for a quality office or summer scent, I would suggest trying Xerjoff Renaissance.

Анонім

Best smelling men's perfume ever created. End-game clean scent. Lights out. Game over. Mission complete.

Анонім

At first this was my least favorite PDM freshie but after some time I have fallen in love with it. Totally under rated. Addictive. People around you will like this. Not for the kids(30+) This guy works best with heat just like sedley. Super fresh, mildly soapy(I almost get the imagination comparisons), very high quality. Castley has a bright tangy opening that energizes. Peppery. Akigalawood is with you for the whole ride. Projection is pretty good for a few hours then drops off to a nice scent bubble that pays out rewards in the heat. Way overpriced. For a house that has absolutely no innovation in its blood, focusing mainly on releases that are mass appealing with hq ingredients you can feel and smells that are super familiar (some would say played out,-percival-), this release stands on its own as something both creative and easily likable. It’s a love. Update. This release definitely needs to mature when first purchased to develop its complexity. The 5 mil travel tester I had for 6 months is what sold me on the profile but the first sprays out of a fresh bottle was just a shadow of what my 5ml was expressing. After about a month it finally blossomed into what I fell in love with.

I have a 125ml available for swap

Clean, satisfying, underrated. This and Sedley are the dynamic duo for Summer. 10/10 for me personally.
