this with latafa kamrah is the BEST layering combo. the leathery undertones are underneath that delicious sweet vanilla of the latafah. it’s definitely an amazing scent on its own but it works even better with other sweet winters fragrances.

I never really thought I knew what cocaine smelt like... If i'm being honest every time I've been close enough to get a whiff there's been a 50 shoved so far up my right nostril it tickles my sphenoid, then about 2 seconds later all the coke I was meant to be analysing olfactorily vanishes and my gums start going numb... But I can assure you, somehow and someway there is a note, or a mixture of, sitting somewhere within this fruity leather fragrance that reminds me vividly of cocaine. That is all I have to say, thank you.

really nothing special about godolphin, just a leather fragrance done right and safe. i'm getting a prominent high-quality leather and a very subtle air of fruits and maybe some spices in the background as well. i would say one should only consider this if you're a pdm collector or fan, as it's pretty boring and unexceptional, especially compared to other leather fragrances out there. i would consider tom ford's leather lineup to be better than this.

Cannot get enough of these leather pairings. Pairing the Godolphin with the Complex 2020. Spicing up the mass appeal with the earthy high end irresistible sour, and then adding the perfect fine select fruit and elegant dryness to the frank raw elevated animalic. It's a manly spectacle.

It is a well done fragrance, good quality (maybe a more pleasant Leather fragrance than Tom Ford Ombré Leather?)However I just feel the leather and something else, maybe the Mate. I don't feel it developing to new smells, for me, it's flat, same smell all the time.

I passed on this fragrance for so long having had Tuscan leather & currently own Al Haramain Oud 36 Elixer, Thinking I never needed this or any of the dozens of other clones like it! But I sprayed this on skin just recently & This is different enough for me. It’s slightly sweeter It’s smoother & less sharp than Tuscan Leather. I think it’s a little bit more masss appealing later on into the dry down! Are there more mass appealing fragrances out there? Yes!! Of course, Although I’m not the Macy’s Men’s counter Get what’s popular type of guy, & For those who aren’t long time fragrance heads like myself who don’t know about this dna, It’s a statement maker!! I think there will be plenty of people who will smell this on you depending on who you are, Who will wonder whether they like it or not! It’s why Tuscan Leather is cloned so much It lasts forever in my opinion gets a little more powdery sweet in the late dry down & always heard that it supposedly smells like cocaine, Which is something I know nothing about! The slight sweetness & smoothness of this is something Tom Ford Tuscan Leather lacks. This can be purchased in a 100ml with a beautiful bottle & awesome spray atomizer for way less $ than Tom Ford’s plain bottle with a shitty atomizer..That’s the thing now Is these other companies are able to tweak your shit into something bigger & better in every way & it shows us just how cheap brands like Tom Ford can be by charging double for not only cheaper presentation, But half the amount of juice!! It’s a no brainer this is the winner. A 2.5 bottle of this will look good in the cup holder in my vette

Delicious leathery dry perfume. Very specific. Very different. Dry woods , crackly and crispy Cypress mate and thyme very present. It's literally their play. Not much of the base detected. But definitely exquisite woody fragrance for a man. He is the kind of man that has opinions in millions, some he shares, when he see fit , others he keeps to himself, but trust, he always has one.

#20 on my Fragrance Review Journey Day #2 and my first full day of wearing this awesome sent. Picture this... a brand-new fancy Italian leather jacket sitting next to a succulent and sweet edible arrangement. This is what Godolphin reminds me of. I understand the similarities to Tuscan Leather. To my nose, Godolphin is a bit sweeter. Tom Ford is sophisticated and elegant to wear. Godolphin is also sophisticated and elegant to wear; however, there is this flirtatiousness to it that makes it more versatile for me. The leather accord is well versed. If you are a fan of leather fragrances, this should be an easy wear for you. If it is your first time, this is a great place to start, especially with the low prices you can find this at through discounters. I read a couple of comments where the reviewers mentioned a weed smell. I am happy to report my nose didn't detect it. My complimenting co-workers didn't detect it. My wife certainly didn't detect it (she is wearing it too). Sprayed it on at 9 am. Came home ready to take a shower at 8 pm. Godolphin was still on my skin. My sweater was still radiating and creating a nice scent bubble. Zero performance problems. Two enthusiastic thumbs up for this fragrance.

I was instantly won over by the Godolphin's opening: a luminous burst of fruit that quickly settles into a supple, luxurious leather accord, establishing a refined and definitively unisex character. Its performance is truly exceptional, maintaining potent longevity for well over ten hours. It was destined for my top shelf, until a closer, more deliberate examination of its structure unveiled a subtle "flaw". A funky, herbaceous green note, almost hidden in the deeper layers, eventually became an undeniable, discordant presence on my skin. The moment another reviewer identified this phantom accord as weed, the entire composition shifted, and I can no longer ignore this barely-there note that tragically spoils a little bit an otherwise great fragrance.

Smelled awful upon first couple sprays, best way I could describe it would be like “pickled bug spray.” Couldn’t pick out any notes or even any actual accords whatsoever (not even the leather), it was one giant, muddled, monotoned poopsoup. But I didn’t want to give up on it just yet, so based on past experiences, and the recommendations of some folks online that know their way around fragrances far better than I, I let it sit on the shelf for awhile, giving it a very gentle swirl and a “naked” spray into the air every few days, then came back to try it again on skin. Much, MUCH better than it was initially. Can pick out individual notes, very heavy saffron with rosemary, mate, and cypress up top (though no fruitiness at all on my part). Some rose and orris as it progressed (I don’t get any jasmine). Base is dominated by the leather and vetiver, I get a tad bit of the musk too, but no amber, cedar, or vanilla. Overall, I’m still not much of a fan. I don’t get any of the fruity notes at all, nor any of the vanilla, cedar, or amber, any and all of which I think this fragrance could’ve really used. I also am struggling to find any of the sweetness folks are mentioning in this fragrance. My sample might just be built different (I got a travel size to test), but this fragrance doesn’t seem to work the way I’d like it to with my skin chemistry. I genuinely can’t detect even a whiff of fruit, woods, amber, or sweetness. For me, this is a slightly bitter, green and herby heavy-leather fragrance, with light touches of floral and a dash of musk. I’m really not getting much, if anything, else. I am by no means a fragrance expert so please take my account with a grain or two of salt. Maybe I’m lacking the breadth of experience/palette to appreciate this one or pick up on its subtleties, but I’ve been around the bend a couple times. I think Maison Crivelli’s Oud Maracuja pulls off a similar pyramid far better. They smell similar to me, but they’re not a 1-1. Of course, the main difference between the two is that big Oud note in Oud Maracuja, but I still get that leathery floral saffron and rose combo. Also, I actually pick up the fruity and gently sweet notes in OM, along with a pleasant, timeless (and detectable), blend of vanilla and amber that joins the punchy leather in the base when it dries down, rounding it all out smoothly. In my opinion, if you’re looking for a fruity, floral, leather fragrance, and you enjoy (or at least are not put off by) Oud, then you’re better off shelling out for Oud Maracuja than Godolphin. I’ve also read many comparing it to Tom Ford’s Ombré Leather, but I have not yet tried Ombré Leather (it’s on the list) so I can’t speak to it. To Godolphin’s credit, there is some good longevity and sillage here, one of the better performing PdMs I’ve tried (but admittedly near the bottom of my list for the House in terms of the actual fragrance). I don’t hate it, but I don’t see myself wearing it, either. I might keep trying as I have been though, giving it a gentle swirl and spray every few days then coming back again just based on how much it had improved to my nose from the 1st to 2nd try. Overall, as it stands, I’m feeling a light 5/10 (I genuinely would’ve said 1/10 after my first try), but a lot of folks really seem to like it, and one of the most fascinating parts about fragrances is how subjective and “individual” a fragrance can be from one person to the next! So don’t let me talk you out of it if you’re interested in it! I would say though to try and grab a sample or travel spray size first, probably not the safest blind-buy!

To me this is a 10% sweeter tf ombre leather, this isnt worth a penny because OL exists, plus its double the price. Scent is nice but not worth 290e

I see a lot of hate for this fragrance and i am not sure why, but i have a feeling that it is because this brand is not very loved. Beware this is not a safe blind buy! About this perfume in particular, i personally love it. I like it so much in fact that i bought this to decant 100ml but ended up decanting only half of that, and i kept the rest. It hits you hard in the opening as a strong leather, with a hint of sweetness in the background. This is a pretty linear scent, as it dries down it smells the same as the opening but less "in your face". Performance wise, it lasts 8+hours on my skin and projects pretty well within the first 3-4 hours ('22 batch). I'd say if you find this around 120-130 bucks as i did, go for it. Smell: 8.5/10 Longevity: 8/10 Projection: 7/10 Price: 8/10 (based on purchase price of 120 euro for 125ml bottle)

Would have been a decent Tuscan Leather clone if it wasn't for one thing... Godolphin is clearly "inspired" by the ubiquitous Tuscan Leather from Tom Ford, and for the most part it does a nice job. Godolphin replicates TL's fruity leather very nicely, the biggest differences being that the leather is not as noticeable as in the Tom Ford and the leather with the fruitiness aren't blended as masterfully. I say "fruitiness" instead of raspberry because this leans, to my nose, more into a nondescript fruity sweetness than a more realistic raspberry note. Now, the big issue that ruins Godolphin for me is that for some reason it smells like marihuana up close on my skin. It has an extremely similar green, herbaceous bitterness, which, coupled with a slight smokiness present during the opening, smells like I had been smoking weed. Not at all a pleasant smell and even less so considering it's what people who might greet you up close will smell. It does fade almost entirely after about two hours but chances are you'll come into contact with other people during that time, and I don't want people to think I might have tried concealing the fact I smoked weed by putting perfume on myself. Azzaro's Forever Wanted Elixir (from my limited time trying it) is a much better version of Godolphin in my opinion. Performance is good, though. Moderate projection with a medium density sillage and a good 8 hours of longevity.

I don't usually like perfumes that smell like grass but this is quite nice! Not overpowering

Fresh french bitter fruit leather r there. Top PDM, real amazed on how deep they went with it, impeccable opening, get the wet fruit, cut leaves, somber, clean leather. Not too niche so it makes perfect all purpose. Might wear this a lot, works so well in the office, definitely a potential consecutive daze wear, masculine, I wanna say the perfect gift for a noncollector? I don't see it as an aquired taste at all, but I remember years ago, before owning any niche, tried it and was like: I won't. Now find it, personally find it maybe better than Pegasus Exclusif and Layton. For 3 years been trying it out every few months, killer cap drydown so apparently grew up on me like from a distance. Get that Godophin, affordable must have, get way way more than what you pay for, once you grow on it, it'll never leave your top leathers.

I sampled this one many years ago and s everyone knows what it's cloning and can be found for much cheaper than the TF then it's a no brainer but the Rasasi is equally as good and cheaper than this. I have had my Rasasi for over 7 years and this scent profile is hard to pull off and has no versatality to it. With that being said I absolutely love it but wear it very occasionally.
