Oudh Infini from the French House of Independent Perfumery Haute Niche Luxury Parfums Dusita is an Extrait De Parfum Oriental Animalic Woody Floral Musky Amber Powdery Unisex with a masculine inclination. It was released in 2016; and the perfumer who signs this fragrance is the Thai Pissara Umavijani, also owner of the brand. Its main ingredients are the natural dark 'oud from the Palao region of Laos and the may rose from the Grasse region of France. It is a fragrance that manages to unite, in these two notes, the tradition of Southeast Asia and French elegance. Oudh Infini was created for 'oud enthusiasts and lovers of animalic perfumes. The opening is bold, animalistic and unmistakable with the civet already emerging vigorously from the base. Laotian 'oud is immediately present as well, a raw, woody, slightly smoked and deeply resinous oud with a 'dirty' appearance. But what makes this output sublime is that it's balanced with a hint of may rose that softens the intensity with its crimsonant, powdery richness, adding a sensual warmth that dances with the 'oud rather than competing with it. Oudh Infini is primarily an animalic and woody fragrance, in reality it is more about civet than 'oud or anything else, with a very rich build. As the fragrance develops, the heart reveals a slight indole floral filth of jasmine that offers an exotic creaminess, while the orange blossom imparts its characteristic airy sweetness. These flowers alongside the rose add a romanticism to the scent, softening the raw and dominant core of the 'oud with the civet a little and adding an enveloping evolution. At its heart comes the sweet balsamic incenses of benzoin combining perfectly with the woody warmth of sandalwood and cedar. I feel a powdery chord also very present. It is at the base that Oudh Infini lives up to its name. Civet and musk add a provocative, powdery animalistic quality, but deeply evocative. An ambergris brings a salty nuance to the perfume that pairs perfectly with the creamy sweetness of vanilla. This fragrance is an exploration of contrasts: the sacred and the sensual, the raw and the refined, the ancient and the modern. It takes you on a journey: from the smoke of temple incense to powdery musk, from floral whispers to woody notes, and the powerful animality of civet. And all this with excellent performance!

the perfume has become this exquise elixir of undulating wafts, the infamous oud now promptly suffused with the as delicate as strong Roses de Mai. while I have known (and had) this perfume from her birth (2016) until its death (2022) the perfume has become smoother still, the fecal aspect of the Laotian Oud Palao not gone but somehow dispersed within the alchemy of this complex and attaching perfume. what one smells right away is the blended and in vitro macerated perfume of Civet, the Oud and the Roses de Mai, at first. all the other notes play supportive roles but are irreplacable as they also form this Thai-Parisian perfume with really THE oud, THE roses, THE civet. these were also the reasons the perfume became so delicate and its ingredients sparce, that the original formula could no longer be accounted for. all the factors of perfumery were indispensable and then, hazardously costly, sparse and sensitive to the Living Markets. that is why this perfume is such sensation. when I spritz two spritzes (that was different than I did in the beginning) I can smell rivulets of scent wafting up into my nose and annexing my surroundings. rarely (when I still worked) did I got remarks of 'phew' what the fuck are you wearing ... now I was notorious for wearing the utmost lush-louche perfumes almost violently so and, AND, being the nurse I was, even in hospital. mostly I heard that I smelled good. once a nurse got a coughing fit from Giorgio Beverly Hills Red (1989). yes these perfumes were searing and scathing and I loved them. but Oudh Infini already from the start was smooth, yet it has even became smoother and more felinely elegant and stealthily crawling like the panthers and jaguars do, the Les Jaguarinesses et Panthèresses de la Nuit. Tunesian Orange Blossom, Madagaskar Vanilla, in so far the flowers. with the Sponge-like nature of the Oud (learned from Ensar) which absorbes all Junglist scents and emanate with Regal Calm. Sandelwood, Benzoin and Musk only add to this duvet-like quality the perfume has begotten. all the 'wrong' ingredients do the things just right. (oud, Roses de Mai Exclusive and in Lenient Stocks from Grasse, the civet in a high dosage [this I still remember from the beginning as I had a continuous and charming and friendly chat with Pissara Umavijani @facebook]), all this exclusivity now has layered and begot time-capsuled like cabinets. the perfume really is fabulous and Legendary in Perfumial History. as Mélodie d'Amour, Issara, Le Sillage Blanc, Erawan, La Douceur de Siam, Fleur de Lalita etc. but I concentrated on Oudh Infini of which I now have 7 bottles enough until I layeth my thoroughly perfumed extremities to the, to the, Earth. swathed in feral and floral and fatal Oudh Infini ...

Definite vintage vibes, reminiscent of the animalic powerhouses of the 1980's--Kouros, Antaeus, etc.. Totally unwearable for me, a 40-year-old man. As a standalone fragrance, however, Oudh Infini is one of the best: civet, oud and rose combine for something that's so dirty yet so intriguing. Extremely animalic...chicken shit comes to mind. At the same time, I don't understand why it's so addictive. I'm on my second decant, but I'll never be able to justify a full bottle. Described in a scenario: you own a ferret that pissed all over your cigarette-smoke-drenched, beige-colored shag carpet. A friend is coming over, and you're ashamed of the stench, so you unsuccessfully attempt to cover the stale smoke and dried urine with an overdose of rose-scented Febreeze. Amazing stuff. One of my top fives.

Wow! Wow! Wow! This is one of the most mind-blowing, high-quality oud/rose extraits I have ever smelled. 10/10. In terms of complexity, this beats Bortnikoff's Oud Maximus by a mile (and Oud Maximus is another 10/10 fragrance, but less dimensional). It is beastlier than Areej's Beauty and the Beast, which also offers a stunning rose. The interaction of the orange blossom, oud, and what smells like gallica rose absolute creates an absolutely stunning animalic purr on what is clearly a wood/rose base. The use of orange blossom here is amazing: I get its sensual animalic side directly, its flowery and bright side presents itself mainly in the blending. For something that can read thick and heavy, it remains bright. I own about a dozen of the pre-2013 Amouage attars, and the quality of the oud and rose is at that level. This must have macerated for months before bottling. This is a French-style extrait de parfum, so there is more projection than an attar. I have been wearing Oudh Infini for several years, so I know this well yet it continues to toss me new things here and there depending on the weather. (Thankfully, I have a back-up of this discontinued masterpiece.) Get your nose on this!

For me this smell is unbearable, I am reminded of an damp and warm wild animal enclosure where a wild beast has freshly defecated and urinated large amounts, I tried and tried to somehow appreciate the smell, because to many this fragrance ( if you even can call it one ) is somehow one of the best things they have ever smelled and still, many who love this smell also mention that it smells like fecal matter or wild animal breath. I will probably never understand the appreciation for this fragrance and that is okay. Still, what are people on and what's with the heavily poetic and romanticized descriptions of this fragrance? I will never get it. It literally smells like wet farts and horse manure to me

Oudh Infini isn’t really something to analyse, it is something to enter. It has that dense, almost meditative atmosphere where the edges blur and the structure stops mattering. The civet, oud, florals, and resins are all there, but they don’t present themselves as separate ideas, they dissolve into a kind of emotional weight. Many oud perfumes of this nature are presented as something sharp, animalic, or dominant, but this feels different. It is more like still air in a dim, sacred space, like something ancient but softened with time, or warmth that isn’t comforting so much as quietly, insistently intense. There’s also that slightly melancholic, introspective quality it carries. Not dark in an aggressive way, more like a deep inward pull, the kind of scent that makes you slow down without realizing it. It is wholly what it is and does not try to fit in by projecting outward in a social way, it simply creates a personal space around you and exists with you rather than for others Strangely, for me, it stirs a childhood exuberance. Like opening a suitcase after long-distance travels: fabrics holding onto distant air; something slightly worn, slightly dry, but rich with history; a mix of warmth and unfamiliarity at the same time; the quiet presence of someone who’s been elsewhere. There is also a subtle contrast: comfort and distance coexisting. It feels intimate, but not entirely mine. More like stepping into someone else’s world. What Oudh Infini creates is not just oud or rose, but an atmosphere of aged materials rather than fresh ones, softened intensity rather than sharp projection, memory embedded in objects rather than diffused in air. It almost feels like the scent is not on me, but stored in something, like it has been carried, folded, and travelled with. My response to Oudh Infini is beyond just to mood, it is more to implied stories and traces of movement, which seems like a very rare instinct. I am eternally drawn to it because it feels like it has been somewhere, it carries a past rather than just existing in the present and, like opening something that has been closed for a long time, it reveals itself slowly with the animalic skin warmth that feels absorbed rather than applied; and soft, almost faded sweetness that feel like they belong to memory of moments that already exist somewhere within me. Oudh Infini is not just about age, distance, or memory, It is about contrast: the depth of something old, travelled, and quietly complex, meeting the brightness of childhood excitement, curiosity, and energy. Its powerful tension doesn’t feel heavy or sombre to me, even though on paper it could. Instead, it feels like opening something unknown but safe; discovery without fear; and richness filtered through innocence. The childhood exuberance I feel whenever I wear it transforms the whole atmosphere. It turns what could be introspective into something almost electric, but in a quiet, internal way. Not loud joy, but that contained excitement you feel in your chest when something new is about to be revealed. It is no longer about just wearing a perfume, but activating personal emotional states through it. The scent becomes something like a set of emotional triggers, different versions of myself across time, and a way to revisit or even reshape memories. It feels like a moment in my life I didn’t have words to describe whenever I wear it. And the interesting part is: no other review, no trend, no external opinion can ever really touch the feeling I get from Oudh Infini. Because no one else has the exact memory, or exact feeling I have attached to it. Most people may not care to understand why Oudh Infini is, for me, the closest thing to accessing a personal archive of feelings, and I completely understand.

I really like this on paper. But it is a very strong tree smell. The animal note is not strong enough. It is only boosting the rose and wood and even mint/pine smell. Intense. Bold woodsy smell. Like I finally realize what the other perfumers were too scared to do. Don’t be disencouraged by the reviews. This is a true woody scent if you love that then this is heaven for you. Made my other wood scents smell like s bar of soap and tom fords ebene fume a safe buy. I don’t know why this got bad reviews but tbh i had to scrub this off of me

Oudh Infiniti is a difficult perfume to palate for many. It has that indolic stank to it. A little bit of a moist bat dung in a cave vibe. There’s a touch of olive in this, some beautiful florals, and a lot of civet. This smells like a zoologist. In fact, this would be a perfect fit for zoologist’s bat. Oudh infiniti is damp and animalic, but has a mouthwatering sweet floral and almost marmalade-ish texture/smell to it. I like it, but it really is stinky. HOWEVER, in the air, Oudh Infiniti smells soooo addictive and even mouthwatering in a way. If you’re sensitive to animalic notes then don’t smell this up close. 8/10 Edit: smells a bit like a retirement home Edit: smells like cow poop, halitosis, camel breath, and flowers. I take back what I said before

Your reviews about this amazing fragrance almost discourgaed me from getting one. I finnaly received my order and omg! Oud Infini by Dusita is the most luxurious and stunning fragrance I have ever had the pleasure to experience. This is not a perfume it is more like a psychadelic olfactory orgasmic experience: I sprayed yesterday at 7 pm and today my sweater smell like the most gorgeous projecting bouquet of fresh roses de may and musk . It reminded me of War and Peace by Arrej Le Dore and Tuscan Leather by Tom Ford. I have been wondering: If Oud Infini by Dusita had been created by Roja or Russian Adam or Bortnickoff would you people had been so cruel on your reviews? Oudh Infini is the most luxurious experience I have ever had with a perfume, it makes me feel sexy beautiful and confident. As Ramsey said on his review this is not a spray snif fragrance, spray on your clothing at night and wear the next day. You will thank me later!

The initial civet scent overwhelms the agarwood aroma~combined, they resemble the smell of chicken manure~but the subsequent rose fragrance is exceptionally high-quality and luxurious~this is an excellent composition.

Would have loved to find myself a 50 ml bottle but alas. Nothing overly aggressive as sometimes potrayed. Very well and smooth blend with no rough edges. Meditative and calm with strong incense. Expectedly musky and animalic but as I already mentioned without being too much. A little with this perfume goes a long way. Huge respect for Miss Pissara Umavijani, great perfumes for someone who could almost be regarded as a novice but actually is a natural talent. My other absolute love from Dusita is Le Sillage Blanc. Very close to incense oud from Nicolai and Rien from Eldo

Анонім★★★★★

This one is already a legend! It opens with an animalic blast of feral civet and Laotian oud. Then the flowers begin to emerge, beautiful Rose de Mai and luscious, sweet orange blossom. The oud is most prominent in the first hours, and later on the drydown when it fades, luxurious creamy sandalwood takes its place. Benzoin helps round it up and adds piquancy. The base is divine: musky, sweet and cozy, while retaining the animal character of the now tamed civet. The supreme quality of the materials really shines through. Unapologetically bold, sensual and unique. A masterpiece.

This fragrance haunts me since 2020. The first time I tried it, I couldn’t handle it. It made me queasy. Months passed and I couldn’t stop thinking about it, so I bought a bottle. I allowed myself one spray on my left hand. It is obsessive. It makes you lean on to sniff once more. And more. It’s like a narcotic. Probably what Initio wants to be with their psychedelic line. Oudh Infinj smells like a pig sty trampled in the most beautiful rose that ever was. So calming and violent at the same time. I am an oxymoron myself so this fragrance somehow describes the duality of my state perfectly. If you smell it, it’s either utter disgust or fascination for the skankiest fragrance ever made. For me it passed from disgust to fascination and longing.

Анонім★★★★★

This is a beautiful poopy mess which, after about 30 minutes, cleans itself up to be very beautiful indeed. Initially extremely disturbing, it just needs time.......

Анонім★★★★★

I tried this a few years ago after winning a decant in a giveaway along with other Dusita fragrances. This was my favorite. Is it challenging? Absolutely. Is it for everyone? Definitely not. It immediate went on my wish list. I thought it was just out of reach, with a price point of almost $500. I couldn't justify it and figured I'd never own it. Fast forward and this beauty is discontinued and I thought well that's it. I recently found it for a deep discounted price and snatched it up. I'm so happy to have it. I'll likely never wear it outside of my house, but it is such quality ingredients. Some smell poop, and it is animalic, but you can still smell the quality. If you like it grab it now while you can!

I have a sad story with this It has been in my wishlist for a while .. and was so excited to buy it (blindly) when I watched ROBES08 review Never been excited for a perfume like this I read lots of reviews.. and never expected what I've smelled today 😭😭😭 Yeah .. its soooo poopy 💩 for me Im crying here

Анонім★★★★★

So challenging, in the best way possible. Totally unwearable, but it makes for a really fun occasional olfactory experience.

Анонім★★★★★

I did want to like this. But it's so poopy. I honestly got the impression that after all the ELDO Secretions Magnifiques reviews I've seen, people just leant dramatic on this site, but the rose does not do enough to fight the poop. I couldn't recommend this to anyone in good conscience.

Анонім★★★★★

Beautiful smooth addictive blend . starts off bit animalic may be with Oud, but settles extremely comforting sandalwood/rose, hint of vanilla with touch of Civet just to add depth. A must try. Note: It's neither Oud dominant nor a Civet dominant perfume. It's Floral with woody base and musk in background.

I blind bought this right at at year ago at a fair price because it was supposedly discontinued & I seen where the prices where going sky high, So jumped on it with a blind purchase, Being my nose is mature & both can handle & also have hard to love animalic fragrances!! But this, For the first time giving it a generous wear out the shower…I go in to work on my music thinking the dry-down may be where it’s at for me & It’s it’s not!! To me this is to strong and too pronounced of a feminine rose! It screams rose!! And with no spices, Oud I guess so being it’s in the name lol, & I am an under an hour having it on. Other than the rose I encounter the animalic fecal matter…In other words shit! & Like some I try to get understand & get behind & imagine how different it may smell from a distance…& It’s just a no for me! It’s almost like rose soap! Again I own fragrances like Zoologist Hyrax & Amouage Figment & what many would call the wretched Profumum Roma’s’ Fumidus & more!! But this one I honestly cannot get behind!! Maybe if it wasn’t for the rose being so predominant? Not sure, But definitely open for a trade being for me was a blind buy fail!

Анонім★★★★★

This is a lovely perfume, I really do not see that there is anything inherent to the smell that feeds into these weird scatological fixations that keep being iterated in this forum. This smells like a lived-in and rich rose-oud. It’s not that scary or transgressive, but I guess it’s distinct enough from popular scent profiles that people are quaking in their boots or congratulating themselves on their freakiness. It smells good lol

Анонім★★★★★

Also purchased a new bottle of this recently at a discounted price. Very funky right away with the oud, civet and musk all powering over anything else. very potent and long lasting. I have a sample I picked up a few years ago that is lighter on the funk and has a much more pronounced rose/floral and soapy feel. I cant help but wonder like the comments below if this bottle had been stored improperly or is it a reformulation or perhaps just oxidation over time? Time will tell.

Анонім★★★★★

So happy to finally have my nose on a sample of this legend. Not for the faint of heart, especially those with little exposure to oud. Opens as a ferocious combination of Laotian oud, rose, and civet: medicinal, funky, furry, with a touch of sweetness. The rose and civet are omnipresent, while the oud lies in the background for the first few hours begging for more attention. As it dries down, the rose becomes softer and the resinous woody notes of the Oud emerge and hang around for hours. Reminds of vintage women’s perfumes from the 1940’s. My only complaint is that the oud doesn't rise to prominence sooner. Best enjoyed privately for lovers of funky South Asian Oud and animalics. You'd be crazy to wear this in public, unless you're the chief of a nomadic desert tribe with your own harem, or maybe the madam of a brothel. Well worth a sample. If you really love it and want a full bottle, price is pretty good for a discontinued fragrance: $200 for 50 ml, which would probably last a lifetime.

Анонім★★★★★

The perfume has not changed much in the weeks I've owned it, but my feelings on it have, somewhat. See previous review a few entries down. I'm my last few wears I get mostly sharp floral rose in the beginning, oud is buried underneath but present and makes it a stinky rose. Probably not a good idea to leave the house at this stage. I have never picked up sandalwood, benzoin, nor vanilla. The animalics however lend themselves even in the opening. After about 2 hours, the scent finally hits its stride and the oud does its oud thing by morphing from repelling to deep and beautiful. It's here at this stage the perfume becomes worth the effort. But because it takes so long, and the perfume is as far as I can tell driven almost entirely by natural ingredients, it's already fading. So one, two, even three sprays I don't think is enough to make the most of it. If you're going to commit to an hour plus of the off-putting opening, I say go heavy. I've added extra oud oil underneath recently as an experiment to good effect. My feeling is that probably most people would be happier with a montale or some other easy oud/rose perfume, there are many. This has been my most challenging bottle purchase, it sets right next to Blackbird's Targa as oscillating between unpleasant and pleasurable. It's kind of been a pain in the ass so far. But I will keep returning, and admittedly I like it more and more every time.

Анонім★★★★★

I have heard only stories about Oudh Infinini, and here I am now with it sat on my skin, filling the entire room around me with its stench. I must admit I’ve never been massively keen on natural artisanal oud scents, save a few, as it’s simply not my style. All I can really say is that this absolutely reeks - and not in a good way. I’m not saying it’s a bad perfume, if you want a raw, pungent oud then you might enjoy this, but I cannot even fathom wearing it let alone leaving the house with it on my person. It’s somewhat sweet and musky from the civet, but overall is extremely dry and poo-ey. It conjures imagery of dry hay and mulch, mixed in with horse manure and soil - utterly rancid. Again, I’m not bashing this as a creation, it’s well made and you can smell that. However it really does stink, there is no situation that you could wear this in my opinion.

I have two bottles, sealed, selling for $350. Shipping from Indonesia. Hit me up @vatikenthegenuine on Instagram

Arrived today, applied one spray to the chest and a soft spray/ drip to the wrist an hour and a half ago. Thus far it reminds me only of Aromatics Elixir and halitosis. Not experiencing a dump or cat piss or bleu cheese or any of the other things sickos around here want to smell like. Not that I wasn't somewhat excited to smell all those things! I'm afraid one of two things might have happened: 1. The bottles currently flooding the resellers at a crazy steep discount (<$200) are fake 2. Those bottles all sat in a poorly temperature regulated environment for the past 5-10 years before being discovered and liquidated OR maybe there a chance the juice is just tightly wound up from being stored in the bottle for so long. In perhaps a week or two after getting some oxygen it will open up. The bottle looks very authentic, came with a lovely card inside a VERY nice little box. And oud seems like it can handle some abuse from heat cycles... So we'll see. I'll report back soon. And we should start seeing more reports from folks buying this unexpected batch of what was thought to be long extinct in the wild...

Oudh Infini is an animalic (aka stinky) traditional take on oudh. The barnyard/stinky-cheese smell is indeed present, for me, but not overpowering, and actually deeply satisfying. (I’ll never know why people call it a “sexy” smell, though. Sure, it’s a base, animal pleasure – but more like the pleasure of eating blue cheese or, sorry to say, having a luxurious BM. It says “god this feels good but it’s just for me and it’s kinda gross.”) It’s a complex sensory experience, it’s interesting, and there’s a sort of umami richness that’s satisfying too. But on the other hand…it does smell remarkably like a goat in a barn. Apart from the oudh stank, mostly Oudh Infini smells of a big, billowing, sneezy-sharp, golden note that I think might be the sandalwood. (Could also be rose but it’s nothing like a garden rose.) It’s grandly feminine and a little old-fashioned, but opinionated and not sweet. I can imagine it on a bejeweled, imperious older lady.

A few years ago, I left a review on this fragrance that was less than appreciative of it. While I admired her materials at the time, I couldn’t stand the smell. It was just too much for me then. Revisiting the rest of my sample, as I saw there was a good opportunity to purchase this fragrance, especially since it’s discontinued, I wanted to give it a try again. I’m glad I did because it is completely different than what I remember. Perhaps my nose has matured, or maybe my taste just simply changed. Well, I can see what I probably didn’t like about it back then. It is a lot more well blended than I gave it credit for, and it is not as pungent as I once thought. Perhaps over the years it macerated, but I’m more so leaning towards just my scent preferences have changed. This is real Laotian Oud backed up by supportive notes. Due to the blend being seamless, I can’t really pick out one singular note, they all come together to form a unified scent. However, I do get the civet, a real musk reminiscent of Areej le Dore’s War & Peace II, and florals, more so to me I get white florals than the rose, which uplifts this from being too dark. I can see this work easily year round, maybe others won’t appreciate the scent but those that do will likely be enamored by it. I take back everything I said, Pissara is a masterful perfumer. Overall: Test it!
