Olympea for autumn and winter. I did not expect that. But it does not overpower me this 26°C summer day. I feel a lot of vanilla, sand and salt, in this order. And something vaguely fruity, spiced by ginger, but just a dash is used here. It is a mainstream gourmand, and actually very pretty. Such a Legend that I hunted down a bottle loving the original Olympea and liking the Absolu especially for summer. It is very creamy and silky on, I feel also woody notes, close to driftwood. If you like Poison Girl you should love this too. It develops into tonka and fruits tinged amber and wear comfortably all the time. It is weird that it did not hold onto the market. It is beautiful, long lasting, with disceet projection in summer. Its vibe is similar to Mon Guerlain Intense, too. Not similar as a scent but as a trend. And it might be even better than Poison Girl edp.
I make a face everytime I smell this perfume. Please be careful if your nose is sensitive, this smells like beer first spray, then when it sits, it smells like a grandma (powdery) but this sour smell with it, like a sour, expired champagne. When it sits for 10 minutes or so, now it smells like baby wipes but that faint sour smell still. I absolutely hate it.
I owned this before it got discontinued and was so sad about it. Such a unique smell, good for fresh days at the beach. Litrerally, smells like salt water and sand. It has powerful sillage and the longevity is eternal on my skin. Now I have basically to buy from resellers who still have it. I was able to buy a big bottle and only use it on very special summer days. Too cloying for hot summer days
Selling my bottle. Partial content. UK shipping
I smell apricot, powder, amber and vanilla. I don't get any plum from this. I've always liked powdery and vanilla scents. I'm discovering that I really like apricot. If you don't like powdery scents you won't like this. Not a safe blind buy. I personally love it.
No joke the opening smells exactly like a Vanilla Lollipop
This smells like baby wipes, so glad I sampled it because YUCK!!! Why is everyone describing this as a plum jam??
First 2min smells like red wine (effect of plum). Later, dries down to a tropical - apricot jam smell. I like it much! My ranking among flankers of olympea 1) Olympea intense & absolu - both are best ambery vanilla on the market, the first suitable for winter and second all year around 2) olympea edp - love it especially during summer 3) olympea legend 4) olympea « parfum » 5) olympea flora
This was a blind buy for me, which I ordered based on the reviews here. Well it arrived today and I'm not disappointed. In fact, it's right up my alley so I'm delighted! I do get a distinctive nail varnish smell upon first spray, as another reviewed mentioned, but it's gone within a minute and the resulting fragrance is just gorgeous. Sweet and warm without being cloying, and I get a tropical vibe off it, as if it had a coconut note in it. I can't really detect the plum or ginger flower notes, possibly my nose isn't as fine tuned to them as say the apricot, which I can easily pick out. The only other perfume I have in this range is Olympea Intense, and in spite of a couple of notes in common, they are entirely different. I don't know why I never tested Legend before it was discontinued, but I think the name may have put me off, as it doesn't give any sense of the truly beautiful scent in the bottle. Pity.
I love this one, to me smells incredibly warm, sweet and spicy. It's feels so cosy and confortable in my skin. I can imagine lying down in a exotic beach, under the sun and the warm sand under my feet while somewhere someone is burning incense and preparing sweet slices of fruit. I love this perfume, I'm glad I still have one big beautiful bottle left.
Es hermoso! Ciruela super dulce, yo lo siento un poco licoroso y ese punto de sal que le queda increíble.
This perfume is different to any of the others in the Olympea range. The plum sets it aside from the others. It is beautiful, sweet, syrupy and thick in the most luxurious way. The price if you can find an 80ml is expensive due to being discontinued. Absolutely worth it though. Love this so much!
This really smells like plum jam with a touch of salt (I recently made some myself from dark plums). If you were looking for a plum-jam scent, this one is for you. There are no references to the “old,” dark plum fragrances - like Poison by Dior or Decadence by Marc Jacobs. Just sweet, thick plum jam in Olympea Legend. If I had been able to test it before buying, I wouldn’t have purchased 80 ml - a sample would have been enough. For me, it doesn’t develop or change at all. It doesn’t resemble Pure XS For Her by Rabanne for women.
Every single time I break this one out, I remember why I love this so much. Tons of compliments and questions when I wear it as well. It's absolutely stunning.
I’ve decided to give perfumes that I own and don’t use another try. I got this back in 2020. Let me tell you, I have never liked this when I first got it nor now years later lol. This smells exactly like prunes but with much added sweetness and salt. On some days, maybe just maybe it is bearable. However, on other days, it literally smells the worst. The initial spray smells like nails polish for few seconds, then the dried up sweetness concussion hits and lasts forever. I am tempted to finish my bottle only to justify getting another perfumes.
Smelled this years ago when it wasn’t just discontinued yet. I loved it so much but decided on buying Olympea Intense at that moment. The next time I wanted to buy Legend, it was discontinued. Now, years later, I finally bought it (marketplace). And it did not disappoint. It smells just like I remembered, maybe even better. The smell is pretty unique I think. It’s sweet but also deep. And sexy as well. I don’t think it’s a great blind guy tho. It might be too sweet for a lot of people. But imo it’s not juvenile. The lasting power is insane. Definitely over 12 hours I’d say. Because the fruitiness I think it can still be worn during the summer. But not whenever it’s really hot, it might be a bit cloying. It suits rainy summer days, cold summer evenings and autumn perfectly.
Before purchasing, I read reviews about this scent. I agree with both assessments; it is good at times, and then at other times I wonder. It is singular, distinct, and outstanding. After experiencing this scent for a few hours, I envision ancient Asiatic royalty: a noble woman who presents with sophistication and quiet authority. This fragrance can be worn at any time of year, and in my opinion, works well as both an office scent and a casual scent. It is a very fragrant honey and amber-based scent.
whether you like this fragrance or not depends on your skin chemistry. i apparently got lucky because miss Legend smells incredible on me. the vanilla in it is beautifully sharp and spicy, which is very rare for designer fragrances. it's also slightly boozy from that plum note. the saltiness is way more balanced compared to the og Olympea. i was shocked by this fragrance's performance. this thing LASTS. i can run errands all day long, walk in the rain and still be able to smell it in the evening. just a masterpiece through and through. i don't think there's currently any fragrance that encapsulates the coziness of winter better than this one. the fact that this banger got discontinued is beyond me.
i can see why this is such a divisive perfume, but it works amazingly on my skin. i agree that the initial spray leans towards fermenting fruits. HOWEVER- and a BIG however- the true beauty of this perfume is when you let it sit and sing with your skin. this has the most stunning drydown ive ever smelled, and i dont mean it lightly. creamy, warm, vanillic waves hinge on sandy plums, morphing with the surrounding breeze in the same way that baked goods at the boardwalk linger in the warm summer air. this smells like photorealistic, warm custard on my skin and it's gorgeous. this is genuinely what i imagine a greek goddess would smell like. also, this stuff is NUCLEAR. the absolute definition of a "statement scent". it's so transformative and unique it doesn't have to be layered with anything else, and is so insanely well performing that you don't ever have to think about reapplying or even applying more than 3 spritzes to your body at any given time. due to it being so nuclear, i don't use this very often. it's reserved for when i want my wafting ambience to linger in the minds of every mortal i walk past within a 3 mile vicinity. it's such a powerful scent it's making me write in tumblr purple prose. i want my corpse to be dunked in this so that everyone has to wear hazmat suits at my funeral. yes, this scent really is THAT sensational. get a sample of this, let it sit on your skin for 15 seconds before making any judgements, then revel(or revolt) in the experience.
Absolutely disgusting, and I don't say that lightly at all. I have never had such a strong physical reaction to any perfume, and I've smelled plenty of stinkers. I thought I had left a review years ago, because I was so horrified and wanted to warn others. Although it's been a long time, I've never forgotten how awfully sick I felt when I received my bottle and tried this for the first time. Reading through the reviews, I see the same descriptions over and over again: rotten, garbage, vomit, nauseating and I couldn't agree more! There is something so repulsive about this perfume that it immediately made me recoil and my stomach turn. I got rotting plum and apricot, trash in August, and boozy vomit. Then, like an idiot, I sniffed it a few more times in utter disbelief. Like, there's no way... this can't be right. I just couldn't understand what the hell was going on and how something like this could be released. I thought for sure my bottle went bad, or did my nose go bad? Then I read up and found out I'm not the only one who almost heaved. I love my other Olympeas (original, aqua, intense, solar) and thought this would be a slam dunk blind buy but it honestly gave me perfume ptsd. I'm definitely more cautious (and suspicious 😆) before diving face first into any new scent.
Bain de soleil orange sun gelee. Dries down to boozy amber vanilla salt.
This perfume is made for very specific people. I can see why for some people they wouldn't like this, on my mom this smells weird, too syrupy, too boozy, and too sweet. On my skin however it smells a lot more spicy, the boozy smell and the fruit mix together and smells delectable. This is such a unique scent and can work great in winter and in summer, day and night. So if your skin cant handle spicy scents, this wont be for you, but if your skin can handle spicey scents you should try it out. BUT MAKE SURE TO LEAVE SOME FOR ME!
It reminds me so much of a deodorant I could only find in 2021 (Hey Humans rosewater and ginger). It does open kind of sharp, the first hour is ginger root and unripe fruit, but the dry down is heaven. The ginger blossom in this really stands out and leans more towards spice than floral, with the stone fruits coming across as a darker jam in the background. Normally I find salt and sand notes to be gimmicks, but they make a genuine appearance here. They tone down the sweetness and florals, but up close it’s a touch thick and dry. Overall reminds me of spiced plum jam that dripped down your hand and dried during a beach trip, kinda mature in a milf way. Still unsure if this is a cold or warm weather scent since it can be cloying, but it’s definitely summer in a bottle. (And two sprays lasted 10+ hours on skin!)
suitable for a modern old lady on a level. It doesn't smell ultra luxurious but it's a basic perfume, a seductive perfume, great.
My brother got this for me as a gift for my birthday and this was one of the worst perfumes I ever smelled I think. So overly sweet, syrupy, fruity. It literally smells thick. I literally love overly sweet perfumes and gourmands but this, this is just too much. It literally smelt like rotten fruit and sick. This is why you shouldn't gift perfume to someone you never truly know what someone will like.
It's very weird fragrance, people commented that is sweet but for me there is not sweetness at all. It strong and heavy. For it was like a insects spray...
Truly the best fragrance Paco Rabanne ever launched (to me). Shame it’s discontinued. Lucky that I have the biggest bottle, Cause this is a must have in my collection. I won’t go into detail as I don’t think I’d do it justice, But it’s rich, Sweet, Carnal, And very unique. Definitely test it out if you get the chance, If it works on you, It’s heavenly! And I agree with the reviewer that noticed Coconut, I pick up on that too, Think it could be from the sand note. This is also a strong scent with excellent performance. 10/10 a favorite.
Honestly, I'm mostly impressed at how they were able to capture and re-create the smell of sand!! It's like a plum- gingered sand. I love it!
Wore this yesterday, loved it. A whiff of Khamrah Quawah was lingering on my scarf. What an intoxicating combo!
Straight up apricot preserves. Not as thick and rich as people make it seem, has a bit of airiness to it. Beautiful if you like fruity fragrances that smell realistic and don’t smell like shampoo.
