aquatic and softer than red, definitely better than ralph lauren red bc blue is more fearless and she has that softer side where shes more vulnerable than red and easy breezy beautiful covergirl. honestly she kinda tore. i kinda love her??? like whyd yall let her end you guys. it's a pleasant fresh blue fragrance with that classic "just came out of the shower" vibe. Clean and inoffensive, but also pretty generic. Nice enough, just nothing special—like many other blue masculine fragrances 6/10

A childhood friend of mine had a gift set in the early 2010's that included Red, Blue, and Green. I remember liking this one the most since it was the freshest.

A recent addition to my collection and to my surprise, despite it being around for awhile, not something I remember smelling before. This definitely pops in the heat and I have personally had no issues with longevity. Last night I sprayed four or five times at 17:45. I was home by 23:30 and it was absolutely still there. Perhaps it's my skin or perhaps the weather or a combination of the two factors. Either way, no issues with performance. I''m presuming it's the Melon that stands out mostly for me and yes, there is a soapy aspect to it. It's another of those fragrances that inexplicable gets classified as "old man". I've genuinely never really understood these sorts of observations. I think if you're looking for something for summer that is pleasant, not overwhelming in the heat, and has a casual, relaxed feel to it - this might be worthy of your attention.

Very bright fresh blue citrus aquatic with a some woods and a smooth suede base. The cucumber and melon notes are not sweet, just think of iced water with cucumber, lemon, and melon in it. It is a bit synthetic and linear. Longevity is average, not great (5-6hrs). Masculine leaning scent profile. Casual and sports leaning but could be used in any setting -- office, evening dinner, getting groceries, etc. Overall 8/10 - Polo Blue just works -- it's masculine, blue, isn't loud, and I think the suede note gives it a refined quality that balances out the sporty casual blue citrus aquatic notes, making it a very versatile choice.

I was supposed to try and squeeze in a cooler weather scent, but you know what? Polo Blue. Full send. Cantaloupe, cucumber, bergamot? Check. Aquatic accord with sage and geranium? Of course. Musky woody suede? GTFO you know it has that.

my high school daily, I love this scent and it holds a special place in my heart, this is what kickstarted by Atrocious lovely fragrance addiction. Its fresh, its masculine, its soapy, its airy. Its....The beginning of greatness. Now i will say it is cologny if that makes sense. its not a LV imagination or afternoon swim type of fresh its more of a dior sauvage type of fresh. Not the most elegant freshy you can get but it smells good. like if you took a fresh shower with alot of body wash and went into a barbershop. I love it 8/10. I Will say however, this is more of a younger scent i say age 15-25.

Love this fragrance, im not sure why this gets a bad knock on its longevity. I wear this almost everyday during the summer and if I throw on an old shirt from a few days ago, or a spring jacket I wore a few days ago I can very clearly smell this as I throw my clothes on, and it’s not a faint smell either. Don’t be fooled by others, the longevity is great on this!

classic, affordable. easy going, smooth, and dumb-reach fragrance. i overspray when i wear polo blue.

Nice scent but it lasts about 20 minutes on the skin.

I got this for christmas from my grandmother the year I turned 13, it was a box set with the 3.4 and 1.7 oz bottles and a stick of deodorant with a matching scent profile. It will always smell juvenile to me. This is one fragrance I have truly neutral opinions on.

Not much to say on this one. This is a classic that has inspired many MANY others. While it may not have the most depth, last the longest, or project the most, you can NEVER go wrong with Polo Blue. My "gateway" scent. Always a solid choice in my book and a very good daily wear. Polo Blue will always be at the top of my list.

For an aquatic, this is very FRESH water as opposed to oceanic. I don't like it because it's way too soapy.

Good scent but gives me nausea at times. I guess it got spoiled due to extreme heat and I gradually lost interest. 8/10 from when I first bought it in 2023

This is my go-to summer scent. My mother bought it for me when I was little and even as my collection has grown ive always restocked and worn this. Like the alter ego to yuzu scents, If a scent is juicy yuzu this is misty cucumber. It stands out from my other blues even being the grandfather. Its like 25 dollars just try it I beg you.

2022 bottle. Absolutely excellent. Fresh yet subtle, dignified, and not at all boring or generic. There are several other blues/aquatics that I own and enjoy, but it'll be hard for most of them to rank with Polo Blue. Fully deserves its rep as a classic among classics. Somewhere below is my review from almost a year ago of a used bottle. That bottle had been left in a hot car or something. I'd suspected it was ruined but didn't know that for sure. Now I do.

One of the few vintage fragrances that even after decades & several reformulations keeps its original essence; Polo Blue EDT is one of the blue prints, no pun intended, for fresh fragrances that are entering their 3rd decade of dominating the fragrance world! While its not unique by today's standards since this DNA exist everywhere now its still lovely. What I like is its gentle, many fresh or "blue" fragrances fall into three categories in my opinion, either a harsh citrus edge (think Versace Pour Homme), akin to rubbing alcohol, a musky base (think Dylan Blue) or an aquatic base. . . Polo Blue EDT is very aquatic & the cucumber is very realistic & why I think its still selling today. Its refined, simple & masculine. Cucumber is still greatly underutilized in mens perfumery 23 years after this fragrances creation & its sad! After the cucumber i get a honey dew melon scent, melon is listed so its definitely that generic melon vibe but nice. Orange, woods & musk grow stronger as the dry down develops! For such a light fragrance it still has decent performance capping at around 6 hours. It opens unisex leaning masculine then becomes more traditionally masculine as it goes. Very good simple & timeless fragrance!

Overall a great scent. Safe. Have a vintage bottle circa 2000. Way better than the green Polo everyone wore back then. I’ll have to wear it a couple of times to get a newer impression. Going through old bottles to see what I can weed out, but very few of them like this one have any real value, so I guess I’ll let it sit around another 20+ years! Colognes were more manly back then. Perfumes weee for women. Shortly after things started to blend together, pun intended! Carry on…

Fresh barbershop from 2000s. Dumb reach masculine scent that doesn't smell like grandpa. The new bottles have sorted the atomisers. Edit - The longevity and performance has doubled if not tripled on the new batches with the new bottle designs. Easily lasts 6-7 hours now. Pure win at under $30.

Best blue Frag on market still imo. I can't imagine anyone not liking this. Its "generic" in a great way. Has great deydown with suede/leather yet super fresh. 3-4 hours is plenty good. You can spray away and get more. EDP smells amazing but vanishes in 30 min. Really strange. EDT is easiest frag for anyone, any age, flat out works. $40 at discounters. Best fresh fragrance still.

I personally love this, and my family does as well. I think a "generic" smell is something that only fragrence nerds end up caring about. This is fresh and clean smelling while remaining classically masculine and utterly inoffensive. I would say it is slightly overpriced, but this is the perfect blind buy as a gift or if you like fresh and clean smelling fragrence.

This is my dad’s signature scent, so very barbershoppy and old manish, but it suits him well and I think it’s a good gift if u have a dad that likes the sort of blue barbershop old man scent

I can't dislike this even if its time has passed. Performance sucks but it's more bearable here than something like Polo Red because it is an aquatic summer freshy. Always a classic but if you don't own a bottle I wouldn't seek it out to buy.

I have bottles 10x the price I paid for this and I still love this stuff. This was my first adult fragrance in high school. I haven’t worn it for probably 10 years now, but I just picked up a fresh bottle and it still smells great today. It’s still very much a modern-smelling fougere in 2026. I think anyone from college to middle age can wear this with ease. Don’t let weird Internet talking heads brow beat you into skipping this or its cousin in Polo Black. IMO both still smell professional, gentlemanly and clean. Smells great casual or in a tie. Not every scent needs to reinvent the wheel; and sometimes you don’t need civet, rose, or oud. But I really don’t think this is so pedestrian as reviewers would have you believe. Honestly, to me it’s almost perfect. Maybe it’s nostalgia but I just really enjoy smelling like this. Ultimately, scent wise, Polo Blue lands in a perfect middle ground between BdC and Platinum Egoiste. It feels like RL achieved the creative vision that the AdG line set out to accomplish.
