Polo Blue Eau de Parfum

Of all the Polo Blue flankers this is easily my favorite. It takes the original EDT DNA and instead of leaning further into the soapy melon direction, the EDP brings out more of the suede and vetiver. At the same time it still carries that nostalgic Polo Blue signature while modernizing it a bit. Polo Blue has always worked well for a lot of people because it is approachable and easy to wear. Ralph Lauren fragrances in general tend to play things pretty safe which honestly is not a bad thing. This one feels especially well balanced. It keeps that clean masculine style people expect from the line but adds a bit more character and maturity. None of the newer releases from the brand that move away from those classic masculine scent profiles really come close to this one in my opinion. Scents like Polo Red Extreme (the new one) or Polo 67 EDP Extreme are not bad at all but they do not land the same way for me. I also really enjoy Blue Parfum and Deep Blue Parfum but those drift a little too far away from that classic Polo Blue DNA in my opinion. This one hits the sweet spot. It does that classic masculine style with a smooth depth incredibly well. Performance has been solid on my skin too. I get around 4 to 5 hours before it becomes a skin scent which is definitely better than the 1 to 2 hours some people report. I still find myself reaching for this one more than any other scent from the Polo Blue line. It feels familiar in the best way but a bit more grown up and refined, without losing the easygoing appeal that made the original so widely liked.

Polo Blue EDP is a clean, modern “blue” fragrance that leans fresh and slightly upscale. It opens with crisp citrus and aquatic notes, then settles into a smooth mix of sage, basil, and vetiver that gives it a more refined, masculine edge than the original EDT. It’s easy to wear perfect for everyday, office, or warm weather but still has enough depth to feel put-together rather than basic. Performance is decent but not beast mode: expect moderate projection and around 5–7 hours of wear. Overall, it’s a safe, versatile crowd pleaser nothing groundbreaking, but hard to dislike and easy to reach for.

I quite like this scent. Very fresh and marine, without being too sharp and bold like a lot of fougere scents. More complex and mature than typical, while remaining fresh. Pretty disappointed in the projection and longevity, though. Within an hour, you'd never know I was wearing it/it's reduced to a skin-scent. Doesn't really persist on fabrics very well either. I might be giving it short shrift, though, as I'm just coming off Burberry Hero EDP, which lasts for-ev-er. I accidentally got some on my watch band like a week ago and I can STILL smell it.

Good fragrance (7/10). It opens very blue, with the marine accord as the main star, but also a great dose of suede, woods, and aromatic notes. I don't like the suede note here; it gives an odd background smell to the fragrance. Good longevity (~10hs) and projection (~3hs) on my skin. It's kinda formal and overwhelming, so not good for daily wear—maybe just an office/professional scent. Worth knowing, but will not become a full bottle.

Doesn't take any risks. Very safe woody aquatic. Smells better on skin than on paper, in my experience. I might wear it to the beach or pools in the warmer months.

not a fan, but i should probably give it another try. i felt that the smell was a bit overpowering, even though it was EDP. the scent was okay, i prefer lighter scents, this felt heavy

Ralph Lauren's Polo Blue EDP is a classic, timeless fragrance. Its scent is straightforward: fresh, aquatic, and lightly citrusy. The sillage is moderate for the first hour or two before becoming more intimate. The longevity is what you'd expect from a fresh scent like this: about 4-5 hours on my skin before it "fades". The value for money is quite good (around 45€ for 100ml in my area). It’s an extremely versatile choice for daily wear. It’s a pleasant and timeless scent. You get a fresh opening with a little green crunch, and it settles into a masculine, musky, woody fragrance that’s very mass pleasing. It’s not a beast in projection, but people sitting next to you or walking by will definitely catch a whiff. The problem is that it just doesn’t last. For an EDP, the performance is disappointing. It would have been one of my daily office scents if it didn’t need constant reapplication. Projection is moderate and sillage is almost non existent. I usually wear this right before meetings or short events where I don’t need it to last all day.

Something special about polo blue. It's semi aquatic-green and slightly juicy. This still stands out to me and I much prefer it over other aquatics that most people suggest. Although it's loud on the spray, the performance is mediocre. that opening is amazing yet fades way too quick. The dry down smells alright but it loses that sparkle. Not hard to find locally so you should be able to sniff it out. I think it's overpriced these days. If 4.2oz drops to $20-25 then I'd grab. Please somebody make a clone that does it better!

This stuff really is just pleasantly versatile/ satisfying! Generic? YES, but that sometimes all you need.. this compares similar to profondo I believe which I own.. profondo may smell a little classier but this is 75-80 percent of it! If ur looking for this to wow you, it won’t! But still a safe blind buy with average performance!

Polo Blue is a pretty standard, boring blue scent, but I could see that being part of the charm for some people. If you're into the masculine, aquatic, shower gel scent profile, this could be a decent choice if you get a good deal on it. This is the bottle I leave in my bag in case I need to whack something on between showering at the gym and going home. Performance isn't great, but it doesn't concern me too much. Mine last all day. I don't understand why people are saying it doesn't last long.

Probably the same thing everyone else is posting: this is the quintessential fresh blue perfume for men. Smells amazing. Very safe for any occasion or environment. ....lasts for 1-2 hours then disappears. Bummer.

Probably a bit too much wood for me (pause) and that’s weird considering my favourite note is sandalwood. I was hoping it would be closer to the original Polo Blue or Polo Red White and Blue. But a decent scent.

10/10 opening. For the first 1-2 hours, probably my favorite fresh sporty citrusy opening ever. Then, the top notes yield to reveal what my brain perceives as “old man fresh”; it smells JUST like the original Old Spice “Classic” scent blue stick deodorant. Which I personally can’t stand, but that’s a me problem I guess. I just wanna know what note is causing it because it is SO CLOSE to perfect for me but then it becomes a dealbreaker. I’d say the performance is average, or slightly a bit above - definitely NOT bad, idk what those comments are talking about.

I can appreciate a good marine as I am fond of the Aqva line by Bvlgari. Having said that, this strikes very very similar to $20 Maahir Legacy (Lattafa), but leans marine where the Lattafa leans citrus. Of course Maahir Legacy compares favorably to PDM Sedley for many people. I'd give Polo a notch better in quality but I Maahir Legacy the edge in overall value. I don't sense sufficient separation to just paying 3x more for this, and I'm a Polo fan.

This was my first fragrance back in 2017, I actually emptied that bottle sometime ago and replaced it (Trust me, that's the only one...). I know they changed the bottle to a pretty attractive new model, but I've got the old silver-framed one. Dunno if they reformulated it when they changed bottles. The opening is a sharp blast of citrusy sea notes, doesn't last too long (~1hr) but is ridiculously refreshing. If Issey Miyake's L'Eau D'Issey Pour Homme is a glass of lemonade, Polo Blue EDP is the glistening waters nearby. The drydown keeps the freshness, a very clean vetiver and sage with a touch of suede. I used to play it safe and wear only only spray, but this really shines with two or even three. I easily get about eight hours with two sprays, opening doesn't stick around too long, but the drydown has some legs. Although, my bottle is about two years old so it's matured a bit. Polo Blue EDP is great for summer, but if you live somewhere that is warm/hot more often (ie. Texas), it's a solid year round choice. The drydown is deep enough to hold up in a mild winter. To me, this is THE aquatic. It's dry, with a crispness not unlike sea water, perfect for super hot days when the asphalt can cook an egg with ease. Even though I've expanded my collection and my tastes, I'll always come back to Polo Blue Eau de Parfum. It's versatile enough to wear with a t-shirt and linen shorts, or a suit and polished oxfords. I'll always have a bottle of this one.

Good one, I like this more than the Parfum. Take the EDT and it's marine accord, pull out the melon/cucumber note and add a sharp vetiver that reminds me of the mineral type notes in ADG Profondo. That's as simple as I can describe Polo Blue EDP. It's fresh and crisp. It's an EDP but doesn't wear heavy and seems like it's built mostly with top notes because it projects like crazy for the first hour and a half to two hours, then it calms way down to a conversation scent bubble until about hour five or six, then it's a skin scent. Be aware that it's very sharp vetiver and bergamot on top and if you're going to be really close to someone like in a car ride for example, you may not want to spray this immediately before you get into that close area because it may be too much. Either spray ahead of time for it to settle into the dry down or spray lighter, maybe two sprays instead of four or five. Smell: 9/10 Overall performance: 7/10 Overall score: 8.5/10

The first impression is a strong 8.2/10 But the dry down is simply amazing and my favorite summer/spring blue fragrance 9/10 just needs to have better performance to be a masterpiece but personally I prefer a not so scandalous silage so I don’t mind.

A good stand out blue fragrance, strong and deep citrus. I could smell facets of BDC. Prefer this one over the EDT.

Same as the EDT, basic fresh blue frag. Not bad but a 7/10

En mi top 10 para toda la vida. Fragancia de corte "azul" con un toque marino y aromático, con un fondo amaderado y con esa gamuza al fondo que lo hacen muy varonil. Generica, aburrida, pasada de moda, no dura mucho y lo que quieran decir y creer. Pero esto gusta y sigue vigente. Fragancia perfecta para el verano y primavera, cumplidos asegurados y para usar hasta con traje en esas estaciones. Para mí es perfecta.

A nice fresh scent, but it disappears so fast. I'd suggest D&G Light Blue Eau Intense or ADG Parfum instead, as they not only smell slightly better but will last you for as long as you need. Also the bottle feels extremely cheap and flimsy.

This is the EDT version mixed with Acqui di Gio’s DNA.

Perfect office fragrance! And it lasts longer than Bleu de Chanel Eau de Parfum at a better price point (but does not smell the same). I highly reccomend this one. Only negative is that it is a bit synthetic for its price.

This is an underrated fragrance, plain and simple. Some people tend to think that this is too synthetic and ordinary, and I can see why; however, nowadays it's not common to find an aquatic fragrance with this specific scent profile. To me it's an evolution over the classic Polo Blue EDT, which is a bit old, common and boring. This one improves enough to compete with Acqua Di Gio Profondo, in my opinion. While other blue aquatic fragances tend to use a sweet accord to make it smell "modern", Polo Blue goes for a suede accord that, combined with the aquatic and green notes, makes it smell different enough to be interesting nowadays. No fruits, no amber, no vainilla... yet, alluring and seductive. In summary, Polo Blue EDP is a modern scent for almost any age, however, doesn't rely on a sweet accord, which makes it cool and versatile. Very underrated fragrance that in today's market brings something modern, yet classic to the table. Definately, it's worth the shot! Though I'd consider to buy it on a discount and wouldn't expect an excellent performance out of it. Keep that in mind

Its the quintessential blue fragrance that lasts for a while with nice projection, the price could be better since most brands offer a blue with a specific twist for lower. Everyone wants to know what are you wearing, and women will ask to buy it for their men. Not sure if I would buy again since there are many other blue scents to try. Really safe for gifts or as a travel scent if you just want a good plain blue smell with no compromises.
