I don't understand why people say bad things about it, its a simple fresh green masculine fragrance it works well in the summer and its performs well enough, and tbh i love it
This gets unwanted hate by frag douchebags. Get over yourselves. It's just scented water you knobs. 7.1/10
It is what it is, a dumb grab casual polo style freshie. Very masculine, intimate projection, you can go a little crazy with the sprays. Smells incredible, It's my current gym locker summer scent. It has illicited the "women digs nose into neck and inhales" more than once, and I have gotten quite a few compliments, I'd say above average unc magic
Bright synthetic green for summer. Like a cup of leaves and twigs drowned in a flat mountain dew. Sorry the American in me must make food analogies. Pleasantly made, nothing exceptional. But it smells good and that’s enough. Buying this one won’t hurt any collection, you will get plenty of wearings out of it on dumb-grab summer days. Doesn’t hold a candle to OG Polo Green (even modern formula beats this) but I don’t think it has to. It isn’t a replacement, it is a pleasant side project. 7.8/10
Like a "Blue" version of AdP Colonia Club. Performs fine for me... not a beast but it is by no means a weakling. I can see the comparisons to a deodorant/body spray but I love that about it. Masculine, fresh and clean without being too sweet.
Polo Intense does not smell bad, it actually smells good. The issue its more of a fragrance/perfume additive in a body wash/deodorant than a cologne/perfume. The wife concurs. The good: Its smells fresh, clean, office safe and perfect for wearing to any sporting event, especially in the heat, wearing to the beach or during road trips and plane/train rides. For me it lasted plenty on the skin and not strong enough to project for what it is to overpower people. The bad: I cant, like others, put this in a cologne/perfume category. Its too much like a body product. There are more dozens of alternatives that have a "what are you wearing" signature that also are wonderful for the office, smell clean, great in heat and great for traveling. Prada L'homme, Blvargi Aqua, Colonia, etc. I am definitely not a fan as a cologne/perfume and would not wear this. For what you can buy in a 6.00 soap/body wash or deo, you can get the same effect.
This is a more modern, tamed down version of the original. I almost think they should call this Polo Teal because it strikes me as a cross between green and blue. I sometimes layer it with the original to give it more longevity. More of a spring/summer scent than the original but still very nice.
This is how I remember my dad's bottle of Polo Green smelling like as a kid. God damn, this is great and slightly nostalgic.
I just recently acquired this fragrance earlier this week. I gotta say, the hate and criticism is completely unwarranted on here (per usual). If you are interested in something that has a classic styling with some fresh modern twists, then Polo Cologne Intense is worth a spray. Anytime I click and look at some of the user profiles that mercilessly slam on stuff, it is almost always these guys who have 10 or 12 cheap middle eastern clones and two Le Male flankers lol. It's the equivalent of being a picky eater who only eats mac and cheese, trying to give reviews on fine cuisine. I digress though, back to the actual fragrance feedback lol! The name may lead you to believe that this will carry some form of the original classic, but this goes in a very different direction. On first sprays you get the opening with a nice spearmint blast, citrus and sage. After about an hour or so, it dries down to a barbershop fougere style of fragrance. Since I'm an older fragrance buyer, I find it refreshing to see a modern aromatic fougere style release. Anyone calling this air freshener or toilet cleaner just aren't used to different olfactory experiences. Unlike the younger fellas, I don't want my entire collection filled with nothing but linear candy sweet gourmands pumping out 12+ hours performance. I have a mix of everything, and that's not a bad thing kids. The performance on this is perfect for work, casual, and daytime wear. This projects pretty strong for the first hour, then it hovers up to 1-2 arms lengths for the duration of the wearing experience. When it comes to longevity, this lasts on my skin and clothes for a respectable 8 hours before it really fades out. I found this on the shelves at Burlington Coat Factory for $30 (40ml) which is pretty much on par with the online discounter pricing.
Idk why this thing is in the Green line. If you like Polo Green, you probably won't like this. From the ingredients list it should be a banger but it smells like air freshener at best. I wanted to blind buy this but I wont anymore. Def not a blind buy.
Why do all Polo's smell like stale pond water up close? But from a foot away they're all pretty decent? This is the same. 7.5/10. Not for the youths.
Love it! Chipre scents are my favourite type of fragrances. I’m at a stage in my lifeI don’t even bother rating scents from bad to good anymore.. It all comes down to see if I can picture myself wearing the scent or not.. Polo Green cologne intense is 100% something I can fit on my day no argue there.. It’s punchy in the opening super aromatic.. It does lingers around nicely on me.. The dry down on my skin turns into this woody green with a light sweet touch which makes me enjoy it even more… The OG of course is the OG we can’t beat that classiness ever but.. It’s versatile, it’s not offensive if you apply nicely, it’s green clean and look… For a day to day scent, you safe mate! I highly recommend any man to grab a bottle and wear it.. Work Uni Diners Meetings Dates even.. I like chipre and I don’t care about what people’s think. I will wear it regardless!
Herby, kinda old school type scent. A bit fresh too. Pretty likable but probably unc territory lol
Despite whatever can be said about this fragance, i do enjoy it. While true it´s nothing out of the ordinary and certainly nothing like the original, however it makes me wonder if people know what a Flanker is...becasue this is one. I do enjoy it´s simpleness and versatility. Easy-to-wear and enjoyable. Safe for the office, university and daily errands. That being said, it is also true that longevity and sillage could do much better. Very underrated and overhated. If someone knows a fragance that smells like this but with better longevity and sillage, i´ll appreciate recommendations.
Polo Cologne intense smells less like a fragrance and more like a Deodorant. I don't know if it's the ambroxan but it genuinely smells like the aerosol scent of Deodorant. Not even a scented Deodorant, just that pure aerosol smell. On top of that the performance isn't great. The opening isn't bad. The deep dry down is nice, but by that point you can barely smell it. For the majority of the time on my skin it isn't pleasant. It's a shame, I had high hopes for this one seeing the note breakdown, it looked like something I would enjoy. It's just not as herbal and natural as I would've liked, very synthetic. I give it 4/10
Polo Cologne Intense is the type of fragrance that perfectly defines what it means to create a "man's man" type of fragrance past and present. I'm unfamiliar with the original Polo, however if it resembles this in the slightest way then I can see why it been a classic and a staple over the decades. The fragrance opens with aromatic, fresh spicy, and gren accords from the basil, mint, and ambroxan, which are the most prominent notes to me. The opening blast is invigorating and refreshing and stays fairly linear throughout its lifespan despite being a bit earthy as it becomes a more intimate fragrance. When it comes to the performance, it gets me through most of a work day clocking in between 6-7 hours with moderate projection the first couple of hours. Polo Cologne Intense strikes the perfect balance at being an aromatic fourgere that can easily become a signature scent for any guy young and old. It's quite versatile and can easily be worn year round, though it would shine most in spring and summer. If you're in search of a modern day fourgere with old school sensibilities while being perfectly modern then look no further. You won't be disappointed!
Love the opening with that spearmint blast, citrus and sage. But....that is short lived and dries down to a barbershop fougere style of fragrance. I'm only slightly disappointed in this fragrance. I love barbershop fougeres and this closely resembles Channel Platinum Egoiste in the mid to dry down just with a hint of spearmint. Wonderful opening, decent drydown, decent performance, fairly generic in the mid. I get next to nothing similar to the OG. I don't know where anyone could pick up any original DNA, this is a new DNA and that's ok, just not what I expected. I also wish the caps were still metal but I get it. Lovely spring fragrance for a pretty good price. 7/10 all things considered.
Do you remember back when you were 8 years old, chopping down trees and shaving your beard with a piece of an ancient glacier that you broke off accidentally in a tussle with a territorial mountain lion? Ralph Lauren Polo Cologne Intense remembers. I cannot compare to the original Polo Green, but it evokes the primal manly man morning smells for me. It has a fresh out of the shower blast of mint and raw grapefruit to shake away any residual sleep in your eyes before rewarding you with juicy fruit gum sage and fresh pine before giving you that fresh from the shower ambroxan goodness. It's my scent of the gym and my scent of the morning, because it deserves an extended wear. Cologne Intense just feels like the perfect fresh scent to crush PRs in the gym and hearts in the parking lot before finally crushing it in that morning office meeting.
Bought some cheap at Burlington Coat Factory. It smells nice enough, and I smell the pine in the opening. However, that pine fades fast and it becomes both sweet and weak. On my skin, it lasts maybe 20-30 minutes before it barely even remains a skin scent and all the pleasant green and pine is just gone. I bought it for cheap and I still don't think it was worth the money.
A brisk fresh green fragrance. It's not as harsh as its predecessor, modern but still a bit mature. As far as silage & projection are concerned, I would consider it moderate. Longevity is good, I sprayed it on my sheets 2 days ago & I can still smell it. I do believe it would be better if the mint note was a bit more pronounced.
Go girl, give us nothing! Weirdly weak, with just a hint of patchouli and herbs. My husband said he smelled green bell peppers.
This is an invigorating wear. It is very cold and fresh at the top, and feels icy when I spray it on. The notes conjure up visions of lush shower jelly flavoured with yellow gatorade, and a pool full of melted Irish spring soap. Beneath it all is a rubbery musk that’s subtle and almost body odour-y. Despite the name, this is definitely less intense than the original, I find the original very bitter and "old-man"ish, but this is sweeter, fresher, and lighter. Most of my tastes lean feminine, but this is a classic mens fragrance I enjoy.
Hugely disappointed with the cologne. Bright, minty and citrus and very pleasant on application but quickly dries down to a rank herbal note that to my nose actually smells off - much like the smell when you open up a rarely used spice cupboard in your kitchen an wish you hadn't. It eventually settles down to a nice although somewhat underwhelming subtle green aroma that lingers for quite a few hours.
This is a fresh and casual scent with only a small hint of the herbal old school aroma in the background. There's nothing intense about it as far as projection but it does last a while when sprayed on clothing. It's a good scent that's perfect for casual outings in the warmer weather. This is the type of scent that can get you compliments. To me this has a late-90s fresh type of vibe.
A mass-appealing version of the OG Polo "Green." I first smelled the original Polo as a teenager and didn't like it. This is the version I would've liked. Minty, light citrus, and unmistakably Polo.
citrusy, herbalic fragrance with weak longetivity and projection. open up with a burst of tangy bitter grapefruit, continued with a herbalic basil smells. then the drydown gets a bit of that ambroxan and musk. couldnt really get the mint. overall a very bitter citrus and herballic fragrance
The first time I gave Polo Cologne Intense a sniff, I was confused. I had seen so many reviews claiming there to be no resemblance to the original Polo, yet I detected that classic Polo DNA right away! What Ralph Lauren did here was take the original Polo & turn it into a modern-day freshie. It's very different from the original but the resemblance is undeniably there! As someone who has always loved the original Polo but never really could pull it off, I just purchased a bottle of Polo Cologne Intense & can't wait to see how it wears! I will update this review once I give it a few wears.
"If ya can’t pick out each and every single note individually , that means it’s well blended" No, it doesn't.
!!!!!!! FTR!!!!!! If ya can’t pick out each and every single note individually , that means it’s well blended🤷🏼♂️🤦♂️. It’s hard for people to just except things for what they are theses days. This is a great fragrance once it’s accepted for what it is. We’re In the day and age where kids are encouraged to go head and just pick whatever gender ya wanna be, it’s no wonder they grow up to be complete lunatics that think everything smells like “shower gel” 🤦♂️
The fragrance frat boys go to Dillard's for in hopes to get lucky with Maddie but she wouldnt sign the consent forms so they're stuck performing cunnilingus. Then while pounding some Michelob Ultras with the bros, he'll lie and say he banged her all night while she tells her friends how small his d**k was, but he was cute though.... thats what this cologne smells like!
