Wow I forgot about this one until recently I was re doing my closet. Found this hiding back there, almost empty with 3 wears left. Sprayed one spritz on the other night and it transported me back to 2008, just graduated high school , when I went through at least 3 bottles of it that year. I’d douse myself everyday before work until it ran out and I’d ride my bike through town in the humid summer Indiana air, to get a new bottle from Macy’s at the mall. With that days cash I’d brought home from waiting tables. Just WOAH. Hundreds of fragrances later, It’s still so beautiful. Warm spicy Aquatic floral, that type of aquatic like a light shower gel in the background, spicy pepper and white florals on top. So gorgeous , and what a time.

Can l buy your bottle?

Анонім

damn i still have my bottle but i dislike it -- too sweet for me. that's how it has lasted for 15+ years ETA: guys i'm located in brazil... i'd happily give away my bottle to any super fan visiting though

O m g. I have made an account specifically for this post. I've been looking for a dupe of this fragrance foreeeeveeerrrrrr. Tried so many. I have like 2ml left of the original so I never use it. Until today bc I bought a new perfume and I was like HOLD ON A SECOND. I also have a beautiful fig perfume in my collection so I combined the two. Then I (with a slight heartache) sprayed a little of the original. Sure it is not 100% identical and everyones nose is different. But to me it's a 95% dupe. The perfumes are Amber & Fig by Maison Label and Bridal Parfum by Elie Saab. I really hope you guys like this combo too so we can all drown in nostalgia together 🥲

I’ve been chasing a dupe for Hot and I came here today to share that Isla Sirena by Ellis Brooklyn has some notes VERY similar to Hot. It’s not an exact much but the initial top note had me wide eyed hoping it was a match. It’s not an exact match but it brought me that nostalgic feeling. Someone try it and let me know your thoughts!

Echoing the crowd, I miss Hot. Ive searched high and low for a dupe so much that I have a few sanples in a drawer somewhere. This is sweet, this is candy in the best way, this is Hot. Early 200s summer forever.... bath and body works recently released Eau de Coconut. I blind bought it sprayed it and thought omg omg this is Hot. It's not an exact dupe but I was transported to 87 degree weather and a decade when I had no bills. The coconut candy essence is there! Don't walk, RUN and get a few bottles trust me on this one.

Someone dear to me was gifted this years ago by someone who was in love with her. The person gifting this is no longer living, so I'm holding onto the bottle with respect and cherishing it. Can't use it, I don't want for it to run out. I'll smell it every once in a while to get a feeling of nostalgia. "Chose this for you purely for it's name", a flirt that flew right over her head only for her to realize it years later, when it was already late. Bittersweet and beautiful.

Sultry, tropical vanilla spice. To my junior high self this is what a Shakira music video was supposed to smell like. Sweet almond, sticky amber, and tangy fig sap make up the heat of the fragrance. A medley of citrus and spice dance like sparks, keeping that sweetness from hanging too heavily. Sweaty, but not sloppy. Sexy, and still fun. Sillage and longevity were always strong, but now my decades-macerated bottle makes any outfit waft of Hot for a full long weekend. This juice is practically a rare-earth element now. Back in ye olden days I had a bottle of Ralph Rocks (for day) and Ralph Hot (for night). Hot was something I guarded as a “special occasion” scent (aka: Friday nights at the mall). (Also because I couldn’t leave a bottle crying “HOT” lying about my very Catholic household). This was the scent that turned me on to fragrance as a costume or persona. I’m not a Hot girl, but damn if it’s not fun to try and dance in her heels. You didn’t receive that Presidential Medal of Freedom for nothing, Ralph! Please resurrect HOT! Mental Snapshot: A fantasy revel, where coral-sand beach meets glow-in-the-dark jungle. Seashell bras, palm frond sarongs, glowsticks, the works. Every drink comes garnished with an orchid and a paper umbrella. A flame-bright sunset smoulders into a humid, purple night. They’re definitely playing Shakira. tl;dr: puka shells and sequins 🌅💃

Got my first bottle of RL HOT in 2007 paid $57 for 3.4oz with 15% off . Anyways I fell in love with this juice, the sweet rich fig, smooth vanilla, nutty almond, lightly orchid, sultry jasmine. Honestly if I didn't know any better I would think there's maybe plum +blackberry. My body chemistry doesn't really pull the citrus in this specific perfume more deep rich sultry with a some spices and a little fresh/clean.Ok enough I wish I could have a whiff of it now . If anyone happens to know of any R.Lauren HOT for sale that can and will ship to the USA please get intouch with me it would be greatly appreciated. Happy Healthy Holidays 🕎🎄✌🏻.

Category: Vanilla, orchid, musky, green Notes: Sprays on smelling only of vanilla but within a few minutes a refreshing orchid enters the mix, as well as a fragrant lime and milky sandalwood. With time it becomes slightly green and very cooling with hints of wilting flowers in the background, might be the fig leaf? Not even remotely spicy and I'm not picking up on any coconut either, unlike a lot of other reviewers. Vibe: Zen. Monastery. Temple. Week old birthday bouquet. Figs. Matcha latte. Diving into a cold pool on a hot summer's day. Ice bucket. Freshly cut flowers. Outdoor plants. Midnight swim. White sundress. Fresh ocean breeze. Sillage: 7/10. I'm very pleased with the sillage on this one - not loud, but very present. You do have to get up close to notice it's there, but when you do you can't miss it. The perfect level of projection in my book. Longevity: 8/10. For an eau de toilette this performs really well. I think all the Ralph line fragrances have fantastic longevity, this'll last you at least 8 hours if not more. Wear: 1000% a summer perfume with its cool and airy feel. It's also strictly a daytime perfume in my opinion. Fine for an office environment as it's not loud or obnoxious. Overall rating: 6.5/10. For those who are clutching their pearls at the prices this goes for, fear not - it isn't anything particularly unique or sensational, and I can assure you fellow FOMO-sufferers that you're better off saving your money. In fact, this is incredibly similar to Calvin Klein Euphoria, so much so that I’d confidently claim you wouldn't miss out on much if you just went for that instead. Are they identical? No. This has a more distinctly vanilla base with the orchid in supporting role, whereas Euphoria has the orchid at the forefront and relies on amber for its supporting base. Euphoria is overall fresher, more uplifting, whereas this has a heft to it that, while understated, is definitely there. There's also something in the background here of Ralph Hot that smells a little funky, maybe that's the fig leaf note - to try and best categorize what kind of funky I'd describe it as something similar to the smell of wilting flowers. A little wet and a little rotten. Sounds unappealing, but it adds a level of interest to an otherwise simple composition and against all odds it works. Much like the other Ralph line fragrances I can’t deny it smells really nice, but I'd be lying if I said it was revolutionary. Great for everyday wear, but maybe not at the current asking price. I think the name is very befitting - I could see myself wearing this on a disgustingly hot summer day. While the perfume itself isn't hot - rather the opposite - it's quite cool and refreshing, I suspect that it's exactly that that would make this a particularly enjoyable wear in the summer. Like some other reviewers have said this is surprisingly unisex, could totally be worn by a man and no one would bat an eye. Who would wear it?: Marie Kondo.

my high school signature; on me it smelled like those little orange chocolate candies i'd get on Christmas, but like rotten fruit on a friend of mine. i'd be very sad to discover that it no longer lives up to how i remember it so i'll just let it live in my memories. but i miss it so much.

The perfume houses must not check Fragrantica because then they would Surely bring back a lot of discontinued perfumes that people beg for🤷🏼♀️ It wouldnt be bad business😅

Анонім

@Nanalvzpink thank you! Guess Gold is by far the closest dupe I've found, I'm glad you recommended it!

Анонім

Another perfume that reminds me of this discontinued fragrance is Guess Gold.

I’m so happy to find a similar perfume that reminds me of this beautiful scent. If you remember that beautiful creamy coconut smell that I found lingers on my skin is Paco Rabanne Fame Parfum. The notes smell so similar and brings back memories of this wonderful scent

Анонім

The cream to the Good girl perfume by Carolina Herrera reminds me of the discontinued Ralph Hot by Ralph Lauren perfume. So if you miss it, maybe that’s a way to get your fix. The cream is super long lasting and very moisturizing.

Bring this back NOW! I was obsessed with this scent in college and I'd buy it again in a heartbeat.

Анонім

I just got my hands on a bottle of Ralph Hot, I’m very happy about that! This scent is the definition of the feeling of high school for me, if there ever was one. I bought it simply because of nostalgic reasons but I’m actually surprised how much I like the scent. The notes here on Fragrantica are fairly correct but on my skin they project in this order: vanilla, fresh, green, fruity, floral. The freshness feels is airy and transparent. A light take on coconut, maybe coconut water? Sweet but not cloying. A fig note that’s very well made, more fruity rather than green or leafy. An interesing balance between warm and cool notes

Анонім

For anyone still missing this and looking for a dupe, Being Frenshe Lavender Cloud (sold at Target) is it!

Анонім

I've found something vaugley similar and warm and sweet. Viktor and Rolf Good Fortune is not identical and a little more fruity in the opening but it warms up similarly.

Анонім

The first perfume I ever bought, I was 15 and had saved up my babysitting money for it after falling in love with the sample in 17 Magazine. Wore it all through high school. Definitely a youthful gourmand fragrance, I still have about 1/6th of my original bottle and use it for special occasions and get compliments. Warm, tropical cocoa and fruity, has some citrus on the top notes but definitely settles into the cocoa base notes. I really wish Ralph Lauren would bring back this line, Hot & Cool were so early 2000s and that is definitely back in style!

This smells like BBW Brown Sugar & Fig but more subtle, with a bit more earthy nuances, and some creamy sunscreen. Very comforting, creamy, musky, slightly sweet and softly-spicy scent. I actually prefer Brown Sugar & Fig over this, but I know this is a cult fave and very hard to find now! If you miss Ralph Lauren Hot, here are a few with similar vibes: - BBW Brown Sugar & Fig - VS PINK Sweet Fig - VS Nude Coconut Fig - Philosophy Sweet Vanilla Fig - Angel Eau Croisière 2020 Mugler

I wish RL would reboot this one (with amped up longevity)! It was a favorite of mine for so long in my late teens and young adulthood. As a rite of passage from syrupy body sprays to a more complex gourmand essence, this was one of the first “real” fragrances I bought for myself (like @Anahita3–thank you for the Gotchalks reference, btw; totally takes me back). It smelled so good in general (and on me) that one of my work girlfriends in college tried more than once in good fun to snake it from my purse (where I’d keep it for reapplication, as the longevity was indeed it’s main flaw). While I have a healthy collection of divine scents, I haven’t found a dupe or substitute that replaces this one. So it goes!

Анонім

Has anyone tried any of the dupe houses? I found a couple of sites that will recreate it but im not sure if theyre worth it. Ive been searching for something like it for forever! Nothing comes close!

Анонім

One of the best fragrances I’ve ever had.

Анонім

I remember somehow I saved up as a teen and had my aunt drive me to gotchalks … and this was my first perfume purchase ever. I’ve tried many of the “dupes” but I’ll hold on to what I think it smelled like vs giving in and buying a ridiculously (and expired) version on eBay. I’m glad this one was a special one to many of us.

My love for sweet spicy scents began with this perfume! I love wearing this one at night and rely on it when I'm going to be socializing outside while dealing with the summer heat. It just meshes so well with my body chemistry and does not project too much that it seems like I naturally smell a bit sweet and cinnamon-y when sweating . I have always had a bottle of this on hand for decades now and so glad I immediately bought a couple more bottles as soon as I found out it was being discontinued considering the price they are going for nowadays.

This is a nostalgic scent for me, it was one of the first fragrances I owned as a teenager. I recently got into fragrances and I couldn’t stop thinking about this fragrance and if it smelled like how I remembered or if my sense of smell had changed over the years. Due to the outrageous prices on eBay….I went to the lengths of purchasing a couple other less expensive, similar fragrances that were said to be dupes in some cases and in other cases were said to give off the same “vibe” but more sophisticated, but honestly all left me very disappointed. I eventually saw it on eBay for a “reasonable” (e.g. not $300) price and snatched it up! Fragrance review: I would say the smell both is and isn’t how I remember it (and is overall still very positive)…. It is definitely a very nostalgic scent and brings me back to my childhood, and the differences I perceive is an interesting case study for the evolution of our sense of smell over time. A few personal examples: I remember this being a somewhat spicy scent, which I get none of now (it is also currently fall and I have been wearing a lot of spicy, oud heavy fragrances, so it’s hard to compare), I also remember this is having almost no florals, but I can smell the florals now. I also didn’t remember it being an incredibly coconut heavy fragrance, but I most definitely experience the coconut now, along with Amber. Overall this is an incredibly wonderful scent that I am really looking forward to wearing in the summer. I am excited to enjoy it again as an adult and I’m thrilled to have it in my collection! I’ve noticed that there are several folks who have posts similar to mine, and I’d like to say that I was able to snag a 100ml bottle and would gladly part with a decant if it would bring others the same joy it has brought me! So feel free to message me. :) Also if I come across anything similar I will gladly share the info here!

I was obsessed with Ralph Lauren’s Hot when I was a little girl in the early 2000’s. I remember having both of Ralph Lauren’s Hot & Cool. I loved Hot the most because it mixed so perfectly with my body chemistry. This was such a beautiful scent. I’m so sad that they discontinued this! Hopefully they bring it back one day or fingers crossed that one day I’ll find it in Tjmaxx or Marshall’s. People are selling it for hundreds of dollars on eBay & I’m not paying that lol. I heard that supposedly Bath & Body Work’s Brown Sugar & Fig smells similar so I’ll probably try that.
