Vanilla, office safe, creamy character, all year round - reliable performer, not a beast but works well for daily office wear. Gentlemen, creamy lane. Pricing around $15-20. Very economical. Great scent. Would buy again.
Love this scent. sweet but a lil spicy and a lil musky. Just got it so these are just initial thoughts + I've been wearing this in 90 degree weather (really comes alive when im chilling in an a/c'd house at night (pairs well with cannabis scent)). Can't wait to wear this into fall and winter. Just want to ask one thing... does it smell like Lucky Charms to anyone else? It's a pleasant Lucky Charm smell.
Rasasi Daarej Pour Homme is the scent of a man who chooses solitude. He doesn't seek attention or enjoy being surrounded by people. Instead, he carries an air of quiet confidence and mystery. This fragrance feels dark, intriguing, and slightly unsettling in the best way. It's the kind of scent that makes you curious about the person wearing it, yet you instinctively keep your distance. Not because he seems cruel or threatening, but because there's something unknown about him that commands respect. To me, it smells like a mysterious man with a complicated past—someone who speaks little, observes everything, and leaves people wondering who he really is. You admire him from afar, but you wouldn't rush to approach him. This is strictly a cold-weather fragrance for me. I wear it only during winter, when the cool air enhances its rich, spicy, and warm character. In the summer, it feels too heavy, but on a cold winter evening, it comes alive and perfectly matches its mysterious personality.
Clone of discontinued Valentino V pour Homme. The opening hits with a blast of warm spices (cumin and cardamom for sure) before quickly settling into a smooth, powdery-floral heart. The dry down is creamy vanilla, and tonka sweetened sandalwood. I found this to be a bit lighter than expected, so I think it is wearable near year-round; I wouldn't mow the lawn at noon in July with it, but Summer evenings at home? No problem.
Old man smell, but good performance out of the box.
Love the scent profile Alhamdulillah Manly, mature scent. But the performance is not good. At least for my batch.
I’d say for the money it’s okay. I think this definitely smells like an adult Arab man. Smells very woody powdery and floral on my skin. However, on clothing it gives off a refreshing rose scent. In the summer heat it smells like a more mature vanilla fragrance. I’ll have to save this for winter. Right now it’s a 6/10.
My 3rd Rasasi . I have no idea what to make of this. Especially since the other 2 were VERY distinctive and plush. This opens with a big WOOSH of synthetic what-the-hell. It has dried down to a faint vanilla. I'm getting a "Joop" vibe (I could be way off). I bought this based on the notes listed : Orris, cumin and cardamom. None of that is here. And as usual TONKA is present and accounted for (I f***ing hate tonka !) . GRADE : ? . Not yet . This one is highly suspicious and I will - in fairness, let is sit for a while before I can even wrap my head around what's going on. Is V by Valentino this flimsy ?
This fragrance honestly feels like vanilla mixed with earthy notes. Is it similar to Valentino? A little bit maybe, like 10–20% at most. Both give that soft vanilla vibe in the opening with some woody touches, but this one comes in a bit rougher at first. The similarity is mostly only in the opening though — after a few minutes they go in completely different directions. This one stays more in the light oriental style, and personally I don’t think it reaches the level of Valentino Uomo Intense or fragrances in that category. But for the price, it’s actually pretty nice and easy to enjoy. Would I buy it again? Probably not, for me it was more of a fun experience to try once. But if this fragrance really clicks with you, there’s a good chance you also enjoy cigar-style scents and warmer smoky fragrances in general.
If you like V pour homme by Valentino...you might like this. Warning they are not the same. Daarej is definitely trying to be the same. But it's not. Imagine if they watered V down to half the strength and made it very synthetic and linear and it gave you headaches because you had to spray so much just to get the longevity. It sounds like I'm complaining but it's the truth. Do I wish they'd bring V back, yes indeed. But am I ok with buying this as an alternative to trying to track down a six hundred dollar expired bottle from a decade ago? You bet. In terms of smell it smells smoky sweet spicy and fresh all at the same time. It is by far the most versatile scent I wear. And the price point is super. As long as I can get a large bottle of this for 16 dollars I'm going to keep buying this! Give it a try, it might work for you too.
This profile is difficult for me. Definitely not a mass appealer, but it is well blended to be fair. Main thing I get is cumin, with many supporting notes, and vanilla. Strong performance, quite linear.
It gets close to the Valentino. Smells well blended. The opening is a bit strong but the dry down is awesome. Easy reach and a good buy.
I bought this in Vienna near West Bahnhof in a small Arab store many years ago. This was my very first oriental fragrance ever. I didn't even know what I was buying, just told the lady at the store to recommend one. I rarely wear it but when I do I like it and on some occasions people give positive feedback. Out of all the Arabic fragrances I own this is probably the most interesting. In general I don't like Middle Eastern fragrances, but this one is special and unique. I will likely buy Verve when it becomes available to pair with this original.
It's definitely something I had to let macerate. I bought this back in 2024 and didn't really like it so I shoved it in a drawer and forgot about it. Idk if my taste changed or the maceration did it's work but it smells amazing now.
Blind buy safe for me. Some of my friends say this fragrance smells like older middle eastern rich uncles in their 30s, but for me(20yo) its good nonetheless. I love this fragrance. The vanilla is unique, powered also with some hints of spices in the background that doesn't get into your face. Projects a bit stronger on my skin, and lasts 8 hours. It smells exclusive, slightly fresh and warm. Quite my daily scent as of now. 1 MONTH UPDATE: This turned into a bitter vanilla, with the rose note quite prominent. Spraying too much makes me feel queasy because of the scent profile. It is far more balanced with a dark, bitter profile, and lasts longer. The fresh notes are now toned down, making this only a cold night wear. I don't love it as much now, but I'd still give it a go for dates / just going out at night.
Daarej pour homme by rasasi is mid at best. The price ($15,$20) is good, but there are a lot better options if you just spend $10 more.
Massively underrated banger. The Extrait is also 🔥
Earthy Vanilla.
One of my favorite scents, very powdery and sweet, i don't even smell infamous cumin note everyone has a problem with. It smells like a beautiful woman, a femme fatale with dark hair. All masculine fragrances that can be described with an epithet 'sexy' MUST smell feminine. A sexy man smells like a woman.
Just got my bottle and let me tell you, this fragrance is great out of the box. I have not had my nose on V but this is a great scent profile regardless. I find this to be a warm vanilla spice with a slight musk and creamy undertone. Very youthful feeling without being immature and at a great price point. Performance and projection are well above average right out of the box. (8/10)
My third Rasasi fragrance, and the best. This is a great deal, I think i got mine for 14.99, for a 3.33 oz bottle. The presentation is great, the box, the bottle, the color. I love purple colored fragrances! Sung Homme and Amen!! This one reminds me of British Sterling H.I.M. Reserve the one in the black bottle. Pretty close from what i recall. Daarej is strong, sweet, energetic, and fresh and sparkly. I imagine women will love this one. This is one hell of a deal and a hell of a fragrance. Great performance as well.
Looking at the reviews and getting confused? Let me add; this is a spicy middle eastern bubblegum shower gel blue scent. Nice twist with the cumin, lots of ambroxan with some sweet smoky incense musk. I think it's the best cheapie out there. 4th or 5th bottle because people like it and it's cheap. I respect Rasasi for keeping this and shuhrah around and affordable. The mukkalat al oud is also a banger for affordability. Thank you
Nice fragrance, good performance, but def not for me too feminine despite the pour homme labeling and the fact there is pour femme version.
Daarej (Popular), is no where near as sweet as Joop! Homme, and certainly not a crass. In a nutshell, Daarej is a dry, dark, rose scent. The color of the liquid suits it perfectly: It smells "purple". I get no prominent cumin, or artemisia in this. The cardamom is there, but it doesn't stand out. Everything seems so well blended that no one note is out there, except for the rose. I think I get more of it than anytime. I'm not usually a fan of rose, but it works here. Daarej opens like a spicy fougere, then rapidly moves into oriental territory. It's powdery, but it's not the type that reminds me of baby powder, face powder, or nana's dusting powder languishing for eons on her dresser. This is barbershop talc. Daarej reminds me of old school fougeres, but with a character all it's own. It's that dim purple glow to it. I bought it blind, and it's been the best one after a series of disappointments the past few months.
This is an excellent party scent. Good longevity and projection. Scent profile is also unique and sexy without being too sweet. Still not redundant
I prefer the newer extrait version, but it's not listed here yet.
This is what "slightly pink" would smell like if it could be bothered. Smells slightly floral for about 30 seconds, no depth, body or nuance. And then it's gone.
Powdery, spicy, rose, aromatic vanilla sweetness. This is pretty good, I like it. Reminds me a bit of a lighter, fresher Joop. Fresh. light, strawberry hard candy. I don't think it's overly feminine. Sure it's sweet but that's the only "feminine" aspect, the spices really shine through.
This is a good, strong fragrance but it's way too feminine for me. It's intensely sweet and flowery, with not enough aromatics to balance out the strident sweetness. Even the patchouli in this gets bowled over by the sweetness. It reminds me of the original Angel for women. Daarej for Men would probably smell awesome on a confident woman, but this is not for me.
Powdery and spicy • It smells ok, a bit synthetic, and I find that it's lacking some backbone to be a masculine scent. • Decent value for the price, but it's too powdery for me. Gifted to daughter's friend.
