This is very nostalgic and cozy, a perfect fall scent, weirdly enough the opening kinda reminds me of diamonds and emeralds by Elizabeth Taylor which is a perfume I enjoy, but quickly becomes a sweet ambery orange vanilla, with some kinda waxy florals, I really like this, I just got it so I'll have to try it out and do a wear test, but it's very beautifu, it's like a gourmand for non gourmand lovers, like me, (I don't mind gourmand notes but i don't want it really realistic, I like a coffee note, a chocolate note, but i don't want it photorealistic sweet treat, unless it's like a chai spicy scent) but this is really beautiful very cozy 90s vibes, good scent to wear while watching some 90s Halloween specials This doesn't seem very long lasting though, but honestly for how affordable it is I don't mind too much.
I wore this today and a young kid behind me in line at the store said I smelled like orange fluff. Hopefully he meant that as a good thing, lol. I never thought it read as quite that sweet/gourmand, but I have been using a vanilla body lotion. Plus the bottle I have is vintage and belonged to my granny. It's a cute little half oz clear glass bottle and not frosted like the ones you see nowadays. So perhaps it went a bit off too ? I also have a modern formulation and it's not quite as interesting.. might I add the longevity on the new one absolutely sucks, sadly.. Either way, orange fluff is delicious and now I'm tempted to go make some.. but no cottage cheese 😆
This was a surprise to me. Blind bought after hearing a few ladies i watch on youtube review. The price was so low i thought what the heck. It's very wearable and easy going fragrance. Soft and not to sweet. The amber really is the star here. Something is familiar about it but I can't quiet put my finger on what it is... I will probably sell because it doesn't feel like me but it's nice.
Very Nice fragance, smells extremely Nice, very Versatile, LOVE it !!!
Stunning fragrance it’s smells so tropical with out the coconut and creamy and cozy will be in my collection forever
The reason I purchased this is because it smells similar to ici by coty. It does smell very similar to it and glad I purchased. It does have the amber romance in it as well but I lean more toward Ici. Very much a 90s nostalgic fragrance its like a time travel
My mum bought me a bottle of this after stealing a few sprays from hers. It immediately reminded me of the VS Amber Romance body mist I had. It's a very sweet, beautiful, cozy amber and incense with some floral notes that bloom beautifully in the colder weather. I'm really enjoying it's 90s vintage vibes during our unseasonably cold winter. One or two sprays is enough for me, especially if sprayed on clothes. I love wearing it to bed or relaxing bundled up on the couch, drinking a vanilla chai latte, or running some errands in the cold with an oversized cozy sweater on. The bottle is pretty cute too in the shape of a flame. I'm so glad Revlon still makes this and it's under $30 at most pharmacies. I bought two new plumping lip glosses from Revlon too, which claim to use "Fire & Ice" technology, and I'm absolutely in love with them. Revlon is back 🔥❤️
This was a blind buy and I am not disappointed! On me it smells exactly like Amber Romance from Victoria's Secret, but a stronger perfume version. I have always loved Amber Romance, but it is so weak. I'm excited to have found this! I do feel like it will be better in cooler months, but honestly it could be worn whenever. Very warm and comforting. The price is fantastic too!
I adored Fire & Ice in high school and purchased a new bottle a couple of years ago to revisit it. I kept pulling it out and trying it here and there but it seems to be just a shadow of its former self. I remember it as a warm, slightly fruity, oriental that enveloped me in a slightly sweet cloud of scent and I get very little of that now. It's a skin scent at best, even when oversprayed. Makes me sad.
Shop My Drawers/Declutter Project #1: Fire & Ice. Strong sweet golden amber, at the upper edge of syrupy for my tastes and saved by the inedible incense wandering in and out, softened by indistinct florals. I would swear there was peach, but I guess that round fruitiness is tangerine. Three hours later I thought it was gone, but at around the five hour mark I still caught a whiff of glorious sweetness while hanging the clothes. I have no idea why I had forgotten this. It's ridiculous that 1990s beauties like this can be had for so much less than screechy knockoffs. So good. Verdict: KEEP, and wear more often this winter.
chatGPT kept on saying I should look at this given my other favourites and I admit I turned my nose up at the thought. Silly me ! I added it to an order as it was ridiculously cheap. It has great depth and gets creamier the longer you wear it. I think its the tuberose that makes me think I smell vanilla or cream - its just SO lovely ! Great sillage and lasting power too, what's not to love.
I recently purchased Fire & Ice by Revlon, and it’s truly a beautiful, soft fragrance. It evokes a delicate blend of ripe apricots, wrapped in a creamy, sweet essence—almost like a vintage hair conditioner, but with a fresh, retro charm. It’s innocent, yet elegant, as if you’re wrapped in a warm, clean hug. If you love subtle sweetness with a touch of nostalgia, this is a must-try.
i bought an old bottle of this from an estate sale and while it's definitely gained an alcoholic note over time, it's such a beautiful warm scent. great blend of bright citrus and florals with smoky musky undertones. i don't always go for "incense" as a note but it works so well here. i feel like a 90's bombshell in a leather jacket when i wear this.
I’m just trying this now, I had never smelled it back in the day. I instantly liked it! Makes perfect sense, I wore Amber romance to death back in my 20s! It’s so warm and creamy! What a great affordable fragrance! I probably wouldn’t wear it in summer but any other time of the year would be great for this! Very pretty!
Revisiting this beauty after not wearing for a decade and entering a new era of fragrance. Fire & Ice is essential in this new world of fragrances where dupe Arabian perfumes often have harsh nose stinging base notes. I think it’s quite evident that we are in a phase of “TikTok perfumes” being at the current forefront of perfumery and they have managed to shift the preferred scent profile of the time. Fire & Ice is a nice break from what we’re smelling right now. This is such a creamy warm amber with a slight citrus undertone that manages to be warm and cozy yet fresh at the same time. It stands out immensely amongst the fragrances of the time and I love that for me or anyone else who wants to go against the grain right now. For $10 you absolutely cannot beat the price. It’s worth trying. Also it most definitely does smell like amber romance. So if that is a fragrance you enjoyed back in the day you will appreciate fire & ice for sure.
i can’t tell if i like it or not! a good thrift store find tho for $5
I've been searching for an amber-forward, cold weather analog to my Burberry Brit. My other ambers pull a lot from patchouli, giving it a dirtiness which sometimes, I'm just not in the mood for. I tried to look into VS recently, but was disappointed by whatever Amber Romance has become. However it slipped my mind that it was an imitation of Fire & Ice. I came across this on a whim and, instant satisfaction. Smells just like old-school Amber Romance, if not better and classier with a soft, bubble bath musk. Sweet and creamy floral with 1000% of that '90s evening charm. No spices, no patchouli, still all woman! Definitely the evening choice for the "regular" women of our lives back then, it doesn't growl like a sexpot nor supermodel. Yet it is deceptively strong - do not overspray or it'll turn into cough syrup. Really, if Fire & Ice was amped up with genuine sandalwood, it echoes with Guerlain Samsara. And could be sold for waaay more than the $10 I got it for. Brava.
I enjoy this one. Its super affordable, warm, pretty & a bit sexy. I get the creamy orange & osmanthus in the opening & then this definitely smells similar to VS Amber Romance which ive always recieved compliments from men when I wore. I did a short review on YouTube, Fragrance Memoir As a side note, I just paired this with Curve Connect (another super affordable frag) & they layer nicely together.
Nice, but not different. It smells like something else I smelled before. It does not have a distinct scent to remember it by.
Just wanted to leave another review for this beauty…it’s become one of those scents that I can’t seem to put down! I’ve been getting tons of compliments on this one, especially when I spray it in my hair. It’s perfectly sweet and feminine and warm. Well-blended, too. The fruits/florals are subtle, which really allows the amber to shine. For a cheapie, the longevity isn’t bad at all. It passes my “wear to bed” test, meaning, I can definitely still smell it in the morning. Beautiful scent cloud. Others can still detect this hours after I’ve sprayed, even if I myself cannot. If you’re thinking of giving Fire and Ice a try, go for it! She’s lovely. ❤️
This is a 90’s gem. One of my favorite drugstore perfumes of past that stands the test of time. It’s a fruity sweet feminine scent that I would compare the fruitiness and sweet mix to Donna Born in Roma type of scent. Not truly floral not truly gourmand. Oranges and cream. The cream is a beautiful vanilla and sandalwood that dries so lovely to a very light woody incense powder. But nothing old lady or cloying. My bottle got better after 2 months. This reminds me of D&G Devotion. For less than 15 bucks. I love this little perfume and will be purchasing for as long as they make it.
Peachy orange cream soda infused with amber, delightfully sweet and warm with a soft touch of florals. Gets more powdery as it dries on my skin. Great for autumn, lovely daytime scent. Sits just at arms' length.
I have gone back a couple of times to test this fragrance at the shop because I really like Amber perfumes and I like the price point. However both times I’m left with the same impression- even after the dry down- it smells weird to me - a bit like cough syrup. I can smell two distinct parts- the fire which is warm m, sweet and beautiful and then the ice part which smells like menthol or a strange cough syrup ingredient. I wish I had the same experience as others with this as I am a big fan of Revlon’s other fragrances such as Ciara but it just doesn’t work for me unfortunately.
Amber-toned and bursting with orange juice, this fragrance is remarkably affordable yet carries a classic, elegant air. It can feel a bit intrusive at times, but in return it offers an impressive longevity of 8–9 hours. A simple, accessible option with undeniable character.
This smells really cheap to my nose; basically like a watered-down blend of osmanthus, plastic and cream soda gone flat. There’s a subtle incensey/tobacco-like quality in the drydown, which adds a bit of interest and depth, but overall this one is a pass and I donated it, since it does appear to be well-liked by many.
Lovely little perfume, it's sweet fruits and sugar on first spray and I wasn't quite sure if it was for me, but once settled and heated by the skin is where the magic happens. It's develops into a dreamy and creamy vanilla peaches and cream amber. It's a skin scent but when you do catch whiffs throughout the day it's such a pleasant surprise. I think anyone from teens to 30s could wear this little gem. It starts off fresh and young but turns a little more mature and deep with flirty fun
Mostly amber with some powder and light florals. Not at all strong. Would be safe to wear in any season and any occasion. Affordable.
It smells mature but not grandma-y like some of the other cheaper fragrances I've tried. It's cleaner and fresher than I was expecting, but that's always welcome for me because I'm not usually a gourmand girl. It's warm and amber-y but also fresh and I feel like I can pick up on some coconut in the top notes.
Nice for summer. I first tried it in the winter and thought it was just ok, but now it's surprisingly sweet and light. It doesn't have the heavy vintagey ambery smell I was expecting, although it does have an amber undertone. Instead it's a general floral fruity scent with no one note standing out, very sweet, but with about every fifth whiff bizarrely gasoline. It's like the girl walking by the highway wildflowers from Lights Roads picked the flowers, picked some fruit from trees from someone's orchard, went home, dumped in a ton of sugar and turned it into slightly gasoline-flavored candied road jam.
Is it just me, or does it smell similar to how Trésor used to smell back in the 90s? To me it's not a far shot. Anyway.. I do like it a lot. Definitely a win for me.
