Visa 2007

This is such a sophisticated woody scent, everything so well blended, allowing each phase of the perfume to gently unfold. Despite the strong note profile, there is nothing harsh here. I wear all my perfumes all the time - there is never an occasion so simple that I can't find a perfume to take along for the ride. That being said, I would definitely wear something like this for an important meeting. It carries a certain gravitas that means business yet with a beauty that softens any rough edges. Truly lovely - glad to have found this at a great price. FB worthy - recommend.

I'm not saying Visa by Robert Piguet is the secret to my love life, but I do know that whenever I wear it, I'm treated like a rich uncle - everyone wants a piece of me, and they're willing to overlook my questionable life choices. This fruit, florals and leather powerhouse is a true original, like a fine wine that gets better with age, or in my case, like my bachelor pad that's still somehow stuck in the 1990s. It's a fragrance that's not for the faint of heart, but for those who dare to be different, to be bold, and to be utterly charming. And let's be real, if it doesn't get you laid, it will at least get you offered a drink.

It has such a beautiful start. Sweet and floral thoroughly blended with fruits. So feminine and rich. With time vanilla gets louder accompannied by patchouli and the scent starts to resemble Angel by Mugler. So much so that it could as well be a flanker. It is just as complex and great for winter day and night. In warmer weather it might be too overwhelming. Very beautuful. If you like feminine scents that are sweet and memorable you can blind buy Visa. Moving it up to love.

I'm obsessed. Suffice it to say that to my nose it's the classiest, most sofisticated high quality sweet patchouliesque fruity leather you can ever cross paths with. You can now shoot me in the head and I'll go straight to heaven. High heaven. The highest.

Fruitchouli all the way and a good one at that. Performs well, and the sillage is great! It is more of a cold weather kind of perfume. Go easy on the trigger.

A new and interesting scent. Visa 2007 by Robert Piguet and first impressions are mixed. It's a very complex scent which I love and I can see why people talk about it, but not quite sure it's me. It's definitely not love at first sniff, so there's that and I feel like it's just about bordering on a like, at this early stage There's an undertone here, which feels at odds with everything and sniffing up close it bothers me and I'm wondering about synthetics, as I feel like there could be something here that is, although it's not listed. On a more positive note, this scent is multi-dimensional, and it might take time to reveal itself and for me understand the layers of it, as it's both dark 🌑 and light at the same time, in the way it presents itself. It's like a vampire gothic fragrance, that a vampire would wear during the daytime, because of the lighter top notes of: White Peach, Pear, Violet Leaf and Yellow Mandarin which are all quite prominent and it's like they are layered over the Ylang-Ylang, Immortelle and Rose; which peak through every now and again but also are the backdrop. The Vetiver, is a real surprise here, as gives this real airy nuance and it's quite unexpected, then there's a bitterness and a sharply medicinal note and that's Patchouli and it's the kind of Patchouli which I'm not so keen on. At this stage, I feel the Patchouli dominates just too much and it chokes out the other base notes, which is a shame, as the vanilla here is deliciously nutty but it's fighting for its life here; sandwichied in this perfumey cocktail 🍸 🍹 Which sounds weird I know but there are some perfumes where you can almost taste the perfume because the notes project so strongly. Moving on, I can't get any leather and this was the note I was really looking forward too but I can't detect it, not yet. Visa is drying down now and I'm not loving this stage. It's a mishmash and too much is going on; discordant. Making the overall feeling disconnected and slightly giving me a headache and I suspect it's the Patchouli triggering that. As I experienced this phenomenon with Chanel's Coco Mademoiselle, the very first time I tried it. I'm gonna have to put this one away for a few weeks and revisit it later, to see if anything has changed, improved or if I still feel the same about Visa, as besides what I'm getting from it, it's seems to perform really well and maybe it just needs time to settle and mature a bit, so the jury is out till the next testing.

Opens with honied peaches lightly offset by violet leaf, gets warmer and more floral as the ylang emerges, eventually pares down to a woody vanilla/leather combo. It never loses its fruity-floral sweetness even when the woody notes appear, all are well-balanced. Best-suited in cool/warmish weather, needs some heat to really shine. This would wear well in an intimate indoor setting in the winter.

This does NOT remind me of Angel in any way, shape, or form. I have a 2007 bottle. I adore it - and it has actually gotten nicer with some age. I remember my first sprays of this - and it made me put it down. I left it. For a few years. It matured and now is beyond gorgeous. Now I wear it because I feel powerful, and feminine. This is a girl bomb. Tho - I think it would smell amazing on a masculine man. I get A LOT of violet leaf from this. It's very creamy, but not lactonic. It's soft, it's beautiful, like being under a blanket of soft white petals. The vetiver and oakmoss are apparent to my nose and they are beautiful. I do not compare this to anything modern as it is such a classic scent. It belongs in a category of it's own, really. Just like Chanel No. 5 does. Just like Shalimar does. Cellier was a master at creating these beautiful blends. This reformulation by her nephew is also a gift.

I love this creamy and sweet, slightly floral, perfume. It opens up gorgeously with a sweet and honey-like textured ylang ylang with a notable woody base. The upper notes are volatile, sweet, and slightly intoxicating. They remind me of By Kilian top notes (sexy and feminine with hints of spices). The base is fruity (aka the boozy peach in Tom Ford's Peach) and also contains a heavy vanilla with sandalwood. It's a very well-balanced, intoxicating perfume, leaning primarily into feminine side, with very SEXY notes, similar to the balsamic Angel perfumes.

Opens with a hint of pear crispness but primarily a patchouli and fruity, thick vanilla. That enveloping vanilla consistently persists throughout, as the patchouli and peach subside- I was hoping to detect more of the individual characteristics of a peach, but alas they did not come beyond 'fruity'. Eventually, it settles down enough to allow some sandalwood to come through and join, with a hint of a watery violet. It turns into some kind of rich hand cream, or possibly a luxurious soap- not sure which but i'm positive i've smelt something similar in some variety of bath product. I don't think this is a poor fragrance by any means, perhaps underwhelming despite it's intensity, but ultimately this is just the wrong kind of perfume for my tastes. Got about 7 hours of wear on a mild day.

Hoping I can shed some light on the IS/ISN'T IT Angel debate going on below..... Whenever this happens and people are vehemently opposed in opinion there's usually a reformulation involved and so, I think, is there here. "madelineandmore" is onto something. I have a bottle of Visa from roughly when it came out (again, 2008 ). I just bought a rollerball from 2021 ( if you have a regular bottle you can possibly tell by horrible cheap cardboard they're now using too ? ) They're very different. Between the two, something changed. A lot. The later could well be compared to Angel. Even accounting for the application, it's sweet nothingness. In this case: SaraZigova is spot on ! The "original" is VERY different. Well, it's Visa 2007 not vintage Visa but it's much closer. In this case it's gtbasso who's right: (It)*starts with a burst of aldehydes, peach and benzoin, a resinous vintage peach then a little bitter violet leaf and tiny bit of bergamot; then with the ripe peach, the orange blossom presents, sandalwood and a little dusty rose that makes it creamy and powdery; very vintage and lovely but missing the bitterness of an oakmoss, a modern vintage that nods back to the classics*

Maybe reformulated this because I remember enjoying this years ago. Now the notes seem out of balance and low quality. I get a nice powdery peach but also a rancid smell, like off perfume and a dirty cheap patchouli/leather.

This smells NOTHING like Angel. There is no chocolate or hazelnut or caramel. Y’all have lost y’all damn minds. Angel is sweet vomit. All you people saying this smells like Angel / get y’alls noses checked fr. This, THIS VISA - is delicious and soft and sweet. Extremely womanly - creamy peaches, powdery soft subdued leather. Voluptuous.

I do not smell anything just sweetness

I really, truly, don't understand people saying this does not smell like Angel. But there's a couple caveats: 1. I think Angel smells fantastic and so does Visa, in a more subdued and sophisticated way. 2. My last memory of Angel was when I was wearing it almost every day from late 2013 to 2015, and it's probably been re-re-reformulated since. It might also be that my nose isn't that well trained to pick up on the subtle nuances of the florals, but on opening Visa and Angel are remarkably similar to me. I find it really curious how Visa opens with an overpowering blast of patchouli/vanilla accord, punctuated by the sweetness of the peach, and only as it goes on it starts revealing its greener notes. For all that Angel was to me in my adolescence, Visa is the mature and elegant version. It lacks the artificiality of Angel, and its elements seem a lot more in balance with each other. The flip side of this is that I find myself wanting the perfume to project a lot more than it does, and simultaneously appreciating the more leathery and warmer aspects of it as it sits close to the skin around the 2h mark. I deeply love this perfume, wearing it makes me feel like I hold a secret social power. Perhaps that's what makes me wish for a longer performance than its ~4h, but I must say: there is a second life to this perfume if you apply it early in the morning and go to the gym in the evening. Whiffs of patchouli/vanilla/sandalwood come back with the body heat and it's just heavenly.

If you're unfamiliar with Visa, think Chopard Wish but higher quality.

an unbelievable medley with fruity and blooming top notes, reconciled with celestial sandal ,the heavenly florals, the woodsy accords in mid notes smell so one of a kind here, the other-worldly ambers and sandal are used in a very unpretended and softening usage through the mid tunnels of this olfactive adventure, it tags on so expertly with musks and mild spices in the groundwork tones that I admit, sometimes I spray it early morning on purpose, even hours before I will leave the house and go out, so that I can catch exactly those magnificent dry-down tones that I adore when I meet someone

The first time I wore this timeless beauty I was sobbing away to Carmen opera whilst sitting on my own in a high up box. It was bitter sweet, the beautiful opera, the gorgeous Visa and realisation that I managed to break my heart again by falling for someone completely wrong for me. It was bitter sweet, because I felt utterly lonely, but absolutely blissful in appreciation of this new world of opera art, that is so emotionally deep. Visa is as grand and as beautiful as an opera or the bitter sweet feeling of a breaking heart. Ah, there's definitely much immense pleasure in suffering as well. Just like crying whilst enjoying an opera. Visa smells of apricots to me, thought officially it's supposed to be the white peach, and it smells of golden mold if such ever existed. You can imagine the diva in her boudoir there's expensive powders, dried fruits scattered about and the golden mold eating away at the antique floral wallpaper.

V (originally "Visa") is a luxurious, fruity-floral oriental fragrance with a history dating back to 1945. Gourmand white peach and pear alongside dusty violet open the scent. A yellow floral ylang ylang, warm immortelle and sweet orange blossom make up the heart. After half an hour comes the base of patchouli and soft moss with a whisper of vanilla bean. The fruity top end remains for the entirety of the experience. V has an oldworldly feel to it, and would suit both fruity and oriental fragrance lovers, and vintage lovers alike. I can imagine someone wearing V while visiting a vintage auction, op-shopping, to a black tie event, or to enhance their classic era inspired outfit.

To the reviewer below: Visa 2007 reminds me of Mugler's Angel, especially in the deep dry-down. Mugler's Angel pre-reformulation, to be specific. It opens with peach and suede notes. It smells like an Angel flanker to me... I have an old bottle that says "Visa". It was reformulated, and they changed the name to "V". Maybe that one is similar to Coco Noir, I don't know...

Tell me please, is it a real fact that Visa could remind Coco Noir Chanel or not? I am from Belarus and I want to buy it without any tests

Nice peaches'n'cream, but why so dim? It would be a perfect signature scent, sexy but versatile, with a hint of soft suede, if it only was less subtle. I began to wonder if I had got anosmia, but no, it's just something wrong with this juice.

Smells like hard candy to me. I also get a vintage lipstick vibe. It is a sweet fruity fragrance. Staying power is rather low. I don’t think name fits it well. Glad I bough a sample first. I would not call it chypre. It is immature in its sweetness but elegant at the same time. As always, I highly recommend to buy a sample first.

I think it is important to state there is no entry for V the successor of Visa. This review is for V. If its your thing to spend a lot of money on a barely there quick to faint skin scent, then by all means, its each and all of our prerogatives. A soft cinnamon like candy from begining till close which sadly comes to a close, quickly ! I had to go back and re spray on card and skin several times to make sure i hadnt missed my target - I barely could smell a thing. Stays lovely a bit longer on the card , with also a trace of rose , so maybe its a - spray your clothes with it fragrance !! I really wanted this , but reality took the reigns on this one. In short : Big out lay , tiny tiny return.

I thought I ordered 50 ml of this masterpiece - that is: I was sent "V" EDP (NOT "V Intense" )- supposedly "Visa"´s successor, but "V" - though the initial impression is that it is similar to "Visa" - does not compare to the original - in terms of quality ("V" quickly gets to smell like hairspray to me - with no depth and development, unlike "Visa" )so my advice is to go look for the original "Visa". (All those ruined masterpieces..)
