This smells amazing, but just a friendly warning: Once inserted, its devious design makes extraction impossible.
to be honest the bottle design is what drew me in (it really looks like a buttplug and i think thats funny), the notes are what really made me really curious. So I blind bought it. I dont typically enjoy gourmands on me or others because of me associations to cheap body sprays and candels, but this is an exception. In the best way possible, this smells like one of those body sprays or candles but on another level. It doesnt smell exactly like a coffee but more like you're sitting in a cafe. Sweet and airy, warm and enviting. Start with a lavender and coffee blend but then dries down into a spiced vanilla. I don't get the raspberry that everyone talks about which is sad. After about 4 hours of testing it the coffee and lavender nuance has passed, leaving a musky and sweet vanilla behind. Don't know why this is advertised for men because this is definitely unisex and leans slightly more feminine to me. And for such a great price? Safest blind buy ever. edit: upon wearing it for a full day at work, I noticed that it dried down smelling dusty which I'm not the biggest fan of. I think it's a combo of the lavender and the woods. Could also be my skin chemistry. I wore two sprays on my wrists as I usually do and it was all I was smelling all day. I still like the fragrence and would recommend it but I'll have to reevaluate when and how to wear it.
I absolutely love this and the dry down is identical to Coffee Break, just give it a minute!! Bought this for my man but I will definitely be stealing it.
As a gourmand this is a very light and airy scent. You get a creamy cappuccino and raspberry off the top with lavender sweetening the mix. Works very well together. Vanilla will add to that and remain constant. Dry down sees the raspberry fade away overtime while the lavender, vanilla, and creamy notes amalgamate to make a sweet and still delectable scent. I think the raspberry stands out a bit more on clothing than skin. As a coffee forward scent, not the best. You will find many others that focus on coffee with better results. This is more of a light dessert coffee that you enjoy for a short time before it moves on to become a creamy sweet scent. Longevity is mid. Good for a few hours at best but I am fine with that. I bought this to use in the mornings as I sip on coffee and nothing more so having a shorter lifespan suits me well. My first bottle was in the early 2010s, was happy to find a tester bottle (includes cap) for sub $30(cad)/100ml in 2026. I am glad to have this once more but I admit that this was a throw-in to reach the free shipping threshold. At regular price ($50ish) I would have firmly passed. .... butt plug.
Old school gourmands over modern any day. This stuff is gourmand yet fairly light and airy; in the same vein as Givenchy Pi to me. The lavender with the cappuccino notes is genius; One of the softest and smoothest blends I own. I put on 8 sprays today in 60F and was getting whiffs here and there all day. Cooler weather dumb reach 8/10
First off, yes, I did buy LeFragrance because of LeBron. To my nose, it is an extremely dated scent, definitely smells like something that debuted in 1999. I sniff my wrist and close my eyes and I'm back playing with Kinex at Zany Brainy and getting on a plane without going through a body scanner. Even the bottle screams turn of the millennium blobject with the shape and the frosted glass. Definitely a unique piece in my collection. Secondly, there is no way people are shoving this bottle up their asses. There's no flaired base. You are going to end up in the emergency room.
Had a clone of this called Turkish Lavender and that does sum the scent up well. Someone else already mentioned the scimitar, never realised myself, but if you remove the cap and place it above the alien-egg/suggestive adult toy, with the egg facing down, then the bottle does look like a small dagger. Who knew, guess everyday a school day...
At first I didn't like Rochas Man much. It's my first coffee fragrance, so it took a little bit of time to get used to it. After a few days, I started genuinely liking it. This is a great blend of coffee and vanilla that makes you smell like a dessert. I was amazed that the fragrance was released over 25 years ago, because it still smells very modern. You are not gonna feel like a grandpa with this one. The projection and longevity are moderate. This perfume becomes rather intimate after some time, which is not inherently bad, it just depends on what you are looking for. Many people criticize the bottle design for some reason. Yes, it could be used as a dildo, but are you gonna mention real drawbacks? If a bottle design makes you feel gay, you have got some problems. Overall, it's an insane value for the price. For around $30, you get a unique and pretty versatile scent that won't leave you dissatisfied.
smells absolutely gorgeous but longevity is quite poor, and unfortunately the is bottle too big to lug around to top up throughout the day, projection is decent however
My husband wears this and I had no idea it had a coffee note. Before I knew what it was I always thought to myself "he smells like a lavender marshmallow yum"
I am very impressed at designers ability to make the same scent 10000 different ways. I thought it'd smell like a strong coffee but somehow someway I still get that fresh shower gel kind of vibe but done really well with a slightly sweeter twist on it. I don't get much coffee nor vanilla but a sweet freshie that puts most to shame. Edit: recently I’ve been smelling a vanilla cold foam coffee that my sister used to get thats somewhat reminiscent of an Ice Capp. Sweet fresh foamy coffee with a bit of florals. If you've ever been to a modern cafe with all those fruit and floral teas mixed with the coffee scent? Mix that with a generic sweet body wash and you get this. Definitely worth a try
smells like lavender cream cold foam in the drydown , i detected the capuchino and raspberry notes in the opening..the raspberry made the scent juicy and not heavy thick like a gourmand cake has a weak perfomance but i dont mind overspraying it. i like the how the skin scent turns, it has hints of coffee milk foam and vanilla that lingers on the skin for hours , i cant stop sniffing it
I am just what I am, I just... Lock In🔒 (John Tejada, Qzen - Paranoia)
Almost niche, loud, the notes blended so well so you won't be able to distinguish the coffee or the vanilla ..... but the outcome is nice and a bit sweet and not common smell . This is very nice for young folks for around $50 a bottle.
Nose Note #651 I already have a review for Eisenberg J'ose which was my first perfume ever which I've worn all year long. It's astonishingly similar to this. Judging by other fragrances I've tried from Eisenberg - it's just another small European dupe house. If you are looking for a coffee fragrance, I think you'll be disappointed. This doesn't have realistic coffee. I would have never even thought this is supposed to be coffee. To me it's just some enigmatic sweet dark accord with lavender. Imagine JPG Le Male, but with this "coffee" note - I'd get something close to this, but less sweet. This is more than mildly sweet, but not very sweet. It performs much better than average, but it's not crazy. I think for 1999 this was groundbreaking, just like Le Male - one of the fathers of the modern trend for masculine super sweet scents. Perhaps it's a little easier to wear than Le Male. 9/10, just superb. I'd say this is a must-try
I want to know how Lebron James discovered this. I, too, saw an almost-emptied bottle near him during an interview. Guess he has good taste!
I don’t smell coffee, at all. I can smell the raspberry though. Overall it smells clean, like some fresh soap but not shower gel per se. I’m kind of disappointed I was looking for a coffee vanilla type cologne, I still like this though. I must’ve either got an old bottle, scammed or y’all over exaggerated the scent. Su though, it smells good definitely a cheapie to throw on if you’re lounging around the house or got some quick errands to run. The silage leaves more to be desired, I have yet to see the longevity. Scent is definitely a 4.5/5, overall factors have me rating this at about a 4 though. I’d buy for cheap, unsure if I’d buy another bottle just cause of how many colognes I currently have in my collection.
so good for the price. i bought it for the coffee but i stayed for the vanilla. i dont even smell the coffee but i dont even mind
When I worked in a perfume store in the late 90s, I used to sniff a bit of everything just to give myself an idea of what a customer might be seeking in a scent profile. When I discovered this one, it was like a pleasure bomb going off in my head. My. God. It was such a sexy, luscious Brazilian coffee vanilla scent, complete head turner. I used to wear it almost every time I was in the store and would always be asked about it. If I ever find another bottle of the original, I'll buy it in a heartbeat. The only downside was the bottle design - not a fan.
@yourlocalgiraffe literally the exact opposite. This is better than 95% of clone fragrances. You just don’t realize it because it’s not cloning something “popular.” If PdM tomorrow came up with a similar fragrance, you’d rave about how this is amazing for a fraction of the price.
So many better options man... If youre debating on it I would say pass. So many clone fragrances in this price range that can do it better than whatever this is.
Was in the market for a coffee fragrance. This was recommended, so I blind bought. Bottle design is different, but not different in a good way. Let's just say it's unique! Smells nice... but I don't get coffee. Doesn't project (pretty much a skin scent from Jump Street), but lasts all day (12+ hours). Perfectly good for occasions where you don't want to wear anything too loud. You can definitely wear this all year long. Totally inoffensive and office-appropriate. Overspray to your heart's content--you're not choking anybody out with this. Inexpensive. Like it, don't love it. Would I buy again? No, but I'm totally happy with what this is at a $20 price point.
I bought this for my husband but I’ve ended up taking it for myself. This just smells good. Really good. It’s what so many of the gourmand adjacent fragrances coming out now are going for, only they end up too sweet. Rochas Man is balanced, not too sweet, but an absolutely delicious blend of coffee, vanilla and lavender with just a hint of jasmine. It has a lovely velvety feel and texture to it. Lasts a long time on my skin, at least 8 hours, with more than arms length projection. This is a compliment getter. And it’s so darn cheap. My only complaint is the bottle, it is awful. Rochas Man came out many years before Libre, but I definitely see some similarities in dna.
Painfully bad performance, smells fantastic but lasts maybe a half hour. Projects well, wore it to a wedding and someone said I smelled like a “winner”. Thanks. Only purchased this because I saw it in LeBron’s locker.
I can’t believe no one has brought up how Similar it is to Axe Dark Temptation!! I mean common there has to be more than me who sought this out wanting an axe dark temptation of more quality!!! Longevity is ok… sillage is a little better than Ok. The smell itself is amazing Colder weather forsure….. Date nights, or hangin out at the house watching a movie with the old lady. 8/10
The LeBron perfume it must be 10/10!!!!
I’m pretty sure people are gonna think I have a butt plug in my cabinet lol!! This fragrance smells so good!!
I think it's a wonderful gentleman's gourmand perfume with a subtle cappuccino note coming from underneath. A 9/10 general approval perfume.
Burnt caramel coffee. Gorgeous gourmand smell and a nice bottle to go along with it.
This stuff smells so damn good it's embarrassing, because it's one of my least expensive frags. I truly believe the ratings would be higher if it wasn't priced as a cheapie. Smells better than a lot of my much more expensive fragrances. Facts
