Great lemon fragrance with a powdery dry down. Original in scent doesnt remind me of any other, bad thing is its duration.

Fresh, citrusy but slightly animalic musk. Something that both appears simple and reveals new things the more you smell it... The projection is superb... a couple of sprays and the room filled up. Being a citrus and filling a room is an achievement. I was hoping for something a bit more sea-breezy, more salt maybe a bit of seaweed... this isn't entirely lacking the vibe I want, there's a Mediterranean vein, because it has quite an aromatic texture and is adorned with indolic floral notes. But no matter what, at its core it's a slightly sweetish citrus and musk whole. In the drydown it warms up and feels a bit woody, powdery and slightly leathery, the breezy quality settles down a little. Blind Buy: I would absolutely not consider Oceania to be a safe blind buy, mostly from a budgetary standpoint. There is nothing particularly challenging, offensive, or polarizing about the scent itself, although the prominent floral elements could be considered a bit too feminine by some traditionalists. However, the substantial financial commitment of the bottle itself, paired with its rather moderate technical performance on skin, will inevitably leave some blind buyers disappointed. Testing on skin is highly recommended before purchasing. Final Verdict: Evaluating this release reveals a striking parallel to the trend established by Lost in Paris, as Oceania is a noticeably high quality fragrance that undergoes a marked, dramatic transformation from the initial spray down to the final hours on skin. Very fresh on-the-yacht reminiscent. It is a super fresh both beach and city summertime vibe. The freshness later transitions to soapiness, both sides of the transition giving off high class luxury vibes. In the opening the lime, other citruses, lavender and aromatics are quite prominent. On skin the performance varies quite a lot depending on conditions. I get about 2 hours of freshness -> soapiness for 3 hours (without lotion) & 2.5 hours freshness -> soapiness for 5.5 hours then skin scent (with lotion). Surprisingly, this has nothing to do with oceanic notes, but it is very nice to wear on the water. This could in a way feel ever so slightly similar to a better cross between virgin island water and silver mountain water. My first ever whiff was very gloriously nostalgic. It's difficult to say if this is blind buy safe, considering this is more of a niche smelling freshy, but it should receive compliments and love from the average nose. Sense of quality is extraordinary - first fragrance above 300 I'd actually argue is worth the money. Let me make this concise. Beautiful citrus lavender and vetiver opening and then about 3 min later its mellows. Amazing quality and very classy, but there are far better citrus scents, especially for what they are asking. This is one for high heat.

I can’t tell you exactly what this perfume smells like, but I can tell you how it makes me feel. Out of the 1000 perfumes I’ve tried so far, it has the highest sense of quality, and I can easily say it’s the number one fragrance to wear in the summer heat. Roja is always on another level—a true niche brand—and among the ones I’ve used, I’ve felt an ultra-luxurious sensation down to my core with all of them. I think it’s in the opening of the perfume that I’m the only one here who can smell fresh cardamom seeds.

I reeived a dample of Oceana extrait with a purchase from Roja, last summer. I remember that the first impression was very good, all sparkling citrus, fragrant flowers, mediterranean herbs and abwoody dry down that does wonders in anchoring the fragrance. I wore it a couple of times during last summer and then put the samples into one of my ‘love it, worth buying’ jars, and went on to sample other perfumes. Well, yesterday I went to a wedding and I was dressed with a pale yellow suit and shell earrings, and I decided to wear Oceania, and it was even better than I remembered; sparkling lemon and bergamot, white and purple flowers, herbs (rosemary and thyme plus some lavender leaves) and a glorious, woody, mossy drydown. Phenomenal longevity (12 hours straight) and delicious scent trail, so much that a couple of friends commented on it. What surprised me the most was the fact that the citrus opening fizzes out after the first 30 minutes but the lemon and bergamot continue to be present for the whole life of the perfume. I loved it so much that I ordered a bottle (and this is truly something because I usually prefer to buy samples and mini sizes, given the size of my collection and the limited space available). On a final note, I think this is one of the best perfumes in the genre, and one of the best from Roja. I won’t comment on value for money, because this is something very subjective, but for me is truly a masterpiece in the citrus-floral-woody genre (and is a genre I personally love)

surprised nobody else said this so far in the reviews. this literally smells like you took lv imagination and added pdm sedley to it. You definitely get imaginations citruses and cleanliness but also you get sedleys fizzy sprite type scent in there. beautiful fragrance that is very slept on

This fragrance is decidedly terrestrial on my skin - far more green than blue - intensely herbal with a strong juniper note, and not at all aquatic or salty. An unsafe blind buy (not that you should blind buy anything at this price-point).

So, let's jump in. The opening is incredibly fresh with a burst of citrus. The main notes I pick up are lemon, bergamot, and grapefruit, with a subtle herbaceous touch from rosemary and thyme. There is also a hint of Litsea Cubeba, which adds a lemon drop or lemongrass-like brightness that makes the opening feel even more lively. After ten to fifteen minutes, it quickly moves into the heart where the florals become more noticeable. I have also seen this fragrance priced under $200 for a 100ml bottle, which is very reasonable for a Roja fragrance. It leans slightly masculine with the combination of citrus, herbs, and the dry, mossy, woody base, but it is light and inoffensive enough that anyone could wear it. If you enjoy crisp, light, aromatic citrus scents with a hint of herbal and floral backing, similar to PDM Sedley or other clean, fresh fragrances, even those that people often compare to “cleaners,” though I don’t really get that, then you will likely enjoy Roja Oceania. It is a solid pick, surprisingly well priced for the brand, and perfect for hot weather or anytime you want a refreshing and easy-to-wear fragrance.

Finally pulled the trigger and recently recieved a bottle of this one. Was lucky and managed to get it for about $160 USD from an authorised reseller. Opens up nice and fizzy kind of like a lemonade with a sprinkling of sea salt and some florals - this still leans 70/30 masculine to me. The first 30 minutes of this scent i definetely get a mix of that PDM Sedley, Xerjoff Renaissance, Creed Erolfa vibe, if you were to mix these fragrances this is kind of what Oceania smells like. Dries down to a pleasant mossy musk with still a bit of light citrus and jasmine lingering. This smells very natural and you can tell it has high quality ingredients. It is an easy summer reach and i dont see it offending anyone. Slightly masculine and not a mature scent, i think any age group could pull this off. Going to add this to my summer rotation along with the likes of Aventus, Imagination, Afternoon Swim, Greenley, TDH Eau Givree etc. It has earnt its place in my collection and obviously the bottle is stunning. A no brainer imo if you can get it for a good price and enjoy Sedley, Renaissance and Erolfa etc. 9/10

okay im gonna review this again I dont get how people can dislike this, people say its bad that it dries down into a powdery soap, but I love it its extremely beautiful anybody saying this is bad has no taste and you shouldn't listen to them.

Got a sample of this after buying outlands never really wanted to try roja and never imagined to get into this but this is probably the most beautifull fragrance ever made,wow i never opened my eyes wide of pure joy from a fragrance the dry down is so beautifull it reminds me of when i used to be on vacation as a small child.

received this a a re-gift from family member who didn't really like it so far this presents like an aquatic cologne with good musks and a rounded, powdery ionone palette the citruses keep this masculine though I suspect some users will probably dislike the combo of ionones+citrus+lavender, they can come off as unoriginal ocean breeze men's cologne circa 2005; this is a study into that genre but with added depth and texture which i really appreciate since I would normally steer clear I really appreciate the use of iris and violet here; lots of perfumers now shy away from powdery florals for men's fragrance products especially since the beginning of the 2020s and this smells classy and like a clean shaven man without verging into overt fougere territory I do not find the lavender here to be particularly sharp of green or aromatic and it is rather soft; think of this as a synthetic representation of the real thing like a nice baby wipe I like that there isn't a whole lot of intentional sweetening via vanillin, ethyl maltol, or coumarin; if they are present the perfumer deployed them with a light hand again the powder may be a turn off for some users though i generally enjoy florals and this one is very undeniably masculine I also appreciate the inclusion of a little herb and a little oakmoss, they add a nice olfactory depth when used subtly and I get that here, also a huge fan of galbanum, great addition and adds so much depth to fragrances like these though I am a man I typically do not wear very stereotypically cologne-y fragrances but this one is nice and I may wear it out more often when the weather warms up here longevity is good but remember that citruses due to their volatility will not stick around long and thus if those are what you came for you should apply them to clothes and prepare to reapply. you will end up with a musky and powdery cologne with some aquatic synthetics but these are handled well good projection for about 2h and lasts 6-8h depending on placement

There's almost an effortless elegance to Oceania. It quite literally glistens. Very clean in its profile, but not in a soapy way. I'd say it's more akin to freshly washed clothing, but you also happen to be at the riviera, or even on a yacht. You also, conveniently, have a lot of money! I jest, but it's by no means cheap. In typical Roja fashion, it smells classy and the scent has been nailed in the sense that it's an unquestionably effective pick for the heat. I think it's relatively versatile. This can be worn in the office, to the beach, all the way to social outings and even more upscale events. For me, however, it works best in casual settings or when I just want to feel fresh, clean and enjoy something a bit more subtle.

One thing you can learn from reading a lot of these comments is, Roja Dove’s target audience isn’t on Fragrantica. He won’t lose any sleep reading them. As for the scent, classy. Initial Nivea vibes, but the dry down is pure heaven.

Wow, extremely disappointed fragrance and criminally overpriced. This isn't worth more than €40 to be honest. Very generic, salty, citrusy smell - not complex at all despite the huge amount of notes listed, also longevity is ass... If you have blind bought this fragrance, I feel sorry for you. I was floored by the Bleu Oceanic tester added to my last purchase from Alexandria Fragrances. I've never been any fan of marine/oceanic type of scents -- but what is this?! If that dupe is so extraordinary, the original has to be as well and possibly even better. My goodness, I can't stop sniffing my hand and shirt, it is mind-blowing quality! Such a discovery makes me feel similarly as I once heard a surprised shout in a piece of music where either Terence McKenna or somebody else saying his words was very surprised that "nature is alive and this is not a metaphor" (while being under the influence of certain mushroom-related hallucinating substances). Now I recall that it also reminds me Chanel No 5 L'Eau, at least the one I tried in a department store once; that one was a bit more sweet, of course. Edit: 1957 also smells similar but I guess it's the musk that makes this feel so. The bottle of Oceania here looks so beautiful. Having such an amazing scent in such a bottle is especially nice experience for those who have it.

Beautiful opening but then dries down to a marine salty scent. I have 2 aquatic fragrances that smell much better in Endless Sea and Dream Sea so I'll pass on this

This is a very classy and elegant fragrance as far as I'm concerned. It was a blind buy success for me and I can't imagine it not being the same for most people. The lemon gives way to a powdery floral drydown which is quite pleasing. I wouldn't dare pay a cent more than I paid for it as I do believe it's way, way overpriced but on a discounter site it's a no brainer. For context, I paid $156 for a tester with no cap and that's probably stretching it's worth a bit as is. Overall, a tremendous addition to my collection!

I finally figured out why this is called Oceania. It's because it smells like sunscreen. It also kind of smells like a cleaning product. The lavender is definitely bothering me and probably the thyme and the rosemary as well. I don't like the powdery aspect of this fragrance either. I don't think this projects much but the longevity is pretty good.

This is unisex but on the more masculine leaning side with the woody citrus notes. I’m glad I tried it on a decant before committing to a bottle because this stuff is expensive! I also either go nose blind very quickly to this or it doesn’t last long on my skin as I feel I have to put my skin to my nose to detect this. Happy to have tried this but may pass it on to one of the boys as I can’t see me reaching for it.

Randomly worked out with this on my shirt and the incredible aroma of it literally stopped me in my tracks as I thought “What’s that beautiful smell I’m picking up? Oh… it’s me.” Side notes: I don’t really understand the hate Roja receives (which I think is only because of the pricing… ) because I think the brand has yet to ever really let me down on a scent. His baseline signature DNA is masterful, creating some truly beautiful fragrances… and I think this is one of them. It’s a luxury lotion type scent and it’s very comforting to wear during the winter, especially for a gym/yoga scent.
