holy crap, im not trying to be shady but this perfume genuinely smells EXACTLY like "Not Another Cherry" from that Target brand Fine'ry. mind you that perfume, or body spray, is like $15. i love cherry scents, but this just smells like cheap perfume. lolita lempicka has probably the best cherry perfume ive ever smelt (So Sweet), and its half the price of this. i'm just really disappointed in this. super glad i bought a tester and not the full bottle. just buy that cheap target brand spray instead, dont waste your money. it's obviously not terrible enough that I would throw it away, its wearable, just not worth the money AT ALL.
I got this perfume as a sample 5 years ago and fell in love instantly. Back then I wore Byredo Black Saffron and Rose of No Man’s Land regularly and was really into those leathery, peppery, darker unisex fragrances. This one fitted right into that category while also creating a more youthful sparkle with the initial cherry notes. I couldn’t stop sniffing my wrist while wearing it. I love the opening of a fresh, sparkly, almost lush cherry, which a few moments later dries down to a less distinct, warm cherry rounded off with leather. I also appreciate the way the pepper lifts the experience, which makes this fragrance still feel distinct and not too heavy or hazy from the leather. Somehow, I also associate the opening of this fragrance with metallic gasoline. The dry down is warmer and powderier. Despite the combination of cherry and leather, along with the association of gasoline, this still feels youthful to me. I have tried TF’s Lost Cherry, and that one feels more mature by comparison. Nowadays I’ve moved away a bit from those leathery fragrances. To me, they suit someone in their early 30s better than someone approaching 40. But it still has its place in my wardrobe, suitable for a bar hangout in the fall or winter.
#1 CHERRY FRAG 🍒!!! A delicious blend of smooth cherry and soft, worn-in black leather like your favorite jacket you’ve had for years. Nana Osaki (or an equally cool girl who exists irl) would definitely wear this while getting ready for a show, drinking a rum & coke, flicking on black eyeliner & putting on lots of hairspray, maybe edging her bangs with a razorblade. Or Joan Jett (but not just because “Cherry Bomb” is called that). Someone who wears Vivienne Westwood. It’s glam with a little DIY flair, leopard print, leather boots, plaid skirts with safety pins. This scent is rich, warm and sexy as hell, perfect for a cold night in the city, sparkling lights, drinking cherry coke. Doesn’t have a super fruity punch, instead, it rolls in and saunters up next to you seeming untouchably cool but is actually quite friendly. I cannot stop smelling this whenever I wear it. It’s sexy, bold, elegant, dark, sleek and beautifully blended. Never smelled a smoother cherry nor a smoother leather. I need a full bottle something fierce
I'm surprised to see that I never wrote a review for Cherry Punk. It's probably just because it's a rare example of getting EXACTLY what it says on the tin. It's cherry and leather. That said, this is my favorite iteration of cherry, and the sillage and longevity are PERFECT. Not overwhelming, but announces itself clearly. Androgynous. Sexy. Deep burgundy.
This evokes a mental image of a cool chick playing pool at a dive bar. Is that person me? Absolutely not. I love it anyway.
Cherry and leather, that is not too dark. Nice and smooth, high quality and nice.
Very chemical and artificial. Cherry and leather are the dominant notes. Like cough syrup spilled on top of a vinyl chair. Not to my taste but I could see the appeal if you wanted a sexy / weird nighttime frag…?
The best cherry fragrance does not smell fake or synthetic like most cherry fragrances.
silent hill 2 nurse before she became all…like that. medicinal in a sexy way like im getting head from a cherry cough drip. i’m smoking outside a dive bar and im wearing a big cheetah print coat over my black nightgown that wasn’t meant to be worn out. red lipstick stains on the filter and ash on my leather boot but i don’t mind because i’ve had these boots for years.
I feel this something the older teenage sister would wear in a 90's teenage vampire drama. or your best friends cool older sister who always makes sure to go to hot topic after taking you and your friend to justice at the mall. She wants to come off as a bitch, but really she's good hearted and sweet. dark brown hair with a side bang. She lights a lot of incense and enjoys rose turkish delights. getting a weird chemical smell as it wears out. not sure how much I would wear this.
Dark red oily and strong scent with artificial roots in the good sense of the word. It will not satisfy those looking for a natural aroma and soulful scent, this is heavy hard ch(emical)erry. Not very sweet with immediate onset of once glossy black leather. Gourmets will be destroyed by the presence of vinyl, which, on the contrary, adds vulgarity and sexuality to the whole composition. Like a heavily made-up makeup of tall woman with a straightforward approach. Signature scent for sure, would love to have this in more male variation.
Dark leather and sweet grenadine with a heavy, woody, slightly plastic dry-down.
First day I wore this got so many compliments, smells so nice for someone who doesn’t really enjoy cherry fragrances, the leather is perfectly balanced with the cherry, I keep going back for whiffs, very addictive scent.
Leather, saffron, cherry. I couldn’t stop smelling it. I’ll give it that. It immediately brings to Mind if you layered Kayali lovefest burning cherry with cherry ambition on a black leather coat. It is absolutely true to its notes. Not for me but definitely worth a sample if you like dark, mysterious and realistic. Just because it’s not for me does not mean this is not well done. It absolutely is.
i don't even like cherry scents, but this is quite nice. sweet, but not overpowering. sexy and dark. great longevity. what a nice surprise!!
What am I missing in Cherry Punk? Oh ya, the cherry. I get an awesome initial cherry blast that last about 8 seconds and then it’s all leather. If the cherry would stick around for a while, this would be great, as it is, you better really appreciate a leather dominate fragrance that pushes the edge of burnt rubber. It just doesn’t work for me. Scent 5/10 Packaging 7/10 Proj/Long. 7/10 Value 6/10
very rugged and interesting. i love a leather note, and i actually enjoy the medicinal and artificial quality of the cherry. unfortunately, my skin brings out the leather in this so much that it overshadows the cherry very quickly. a little secret by imaginary authors does a bit more for me with a similar yet not identical profile
Love the opening,I like how this goes through stages,I like it& need a FB,very well balanced.
Cherry Punk opens with a juicy red cherry accord. It is neither overly sweet nor sharply tart. The cherry feels vibrant, lively, and well-balanced, but almost immediately it begins interacting with the fragrance’s dominant leather note. As the scent develops, the leather gradually moves to the forefront. At times, it even evokes a subtle impression of lightly scorched rubber. This is not a harsh or unpleasant effect; rather, it adds an interesting edge to the fragrance and gives it a more rebellious, distinctive character. Against the leather backdrop, the cherry comes and goes, sometimes shining through and sometimes nearly disappearing. Despite the prominent leather accord, the fragrance is not particularly heavy or sweet. It stays fairly close to the skin and feels more intimate than loud or expansive. This is not a scent that fills a room. Instead, it remains close, creating a more personal experience. Personally, I found myself wanting more cherry. I missed some of the juiciness, tartness, and freshness I usually look for in cherry fragrances. As the fragrance progresses, the leather becomes increasingly dominant, to the point where the original cherry concept begins to fade. That said, the idea behind the fragrance is fascinating. To me, Cherry Punk smells like a burgundy leather jacket or leather dress accidentally stained with cherry juice. There is something provocative, slightly rebellious, and unmistakably autumnal about that image. The fragrance fits perfectly into the atmosphere of cool evenings when you want to add a little attitude and character to your look. However, in my mind, the cherry and leather never fully came together. I would have been more interested in hearing the cherry paired with woods or subtle smoky notes. Such a combination might have highlighted the fruit rather than competing with it. In Cherry Punk, the leather occasionally becomes so expressive that it starts to overshadow the cherry itself. I also had the opportunity to compare it with Kayali Burning Cherry. For me, the Kayali fragrance was more successful because it remains within a fruity-berry story. It continues to evoke juicy berries, fruity tartness, and sweetness, whereas Cherry Punk quickly shifts into a distinctly leather-driven direction. Nevertheless, this is a very interesting and unusual fragrance. I can imagine returning to it from time to time, especially with leather clothing and bolder outfits. However, for me it is more of a mood fragrance or an occasion scent than something I would wear every day. Its personality is simply too strong and a little too rebellious for constant wear.
It's giving womens public bathroom you had to pay 20p to use between 2008-2012, but if it had just been half cleaned with an extremely strong chemically sweet floral fruity disinfectant that can't quite clear away the smell of everything else.
Maybe I'm the minority but this smells like syrupy cherries to me. Like you're eating those jarred cherries while sitting on the kitchen floor, still wearing your leather jacket that carries the lingering smell of cig smoke and old perfume. I love it
Opens up akin to a mascarpone cherry turned a bit medicinal, with a saffron bias, and honestly I don’t really get any of the middle notes here, minimal from the jasmine if anything to support the leather here, which is more like a very smoothed out impression of PVC mixed in with a tad of PU leather, but it has a substantial tonka bean bias. The patchouli isn’t terribly prominent but only as to serve as the final support to present the leather as being lived in. Overall it’s not dirty—it’s just not a typical clean, and it’s easy to try to make an association with the mascarpone cherry that was in the opening due to the sweet tonka bean bias this has. An interesting take on leather, but not really something worth considering further for me.
think of your grandmother who comes in the house right after a cigarette, pops a cherry halls in her mouth, and comes over to give you a kiss on the cheek. this is her breath. not in a gross way, but in an achingly nostalgic way that makes you miss family and crave a cough drop.
Always attractive when a brand markets something for a demographic and it actually feels suitable to wear in those spaces. This is absolutely a scent you could apply before a house show. The fuzzy quality of Cherry Punk lingers in my nose like hard bass reverberates in the dense air of a packed basement. Much prefer this to the ocean of cherry frags that rely on almond to smooth cherry over; instead, leather and florals keep the cherry here pumping. This would smell divine on a leather jacket.
the “teenage dirtbag” fragrance, loud and unapologetic yet still really sweet and vibrant. a favourite!!! really persistent, especially on clothes
Intriguing fragrance, but for those who are expecting the rich, syrupy, or even medicinal cherry notes that are often associated with cherry-centric perfumes, you might be a bit let down. This fragrance clearly draws inspiration from Tom Ford’s Tuscan Leather, and that much is obvious from the very first spritz. The leather here is warm, rich, and smooth, with a faint sweetness that makes it feel less harsh compared to Tuscan Leather's more sour, sharp edge. But even though it’s labeled “cherry,” it’s not the cherry most of us know and love—the sweet, almost sugary cherry of childhood memories, or the syrupy medicinal cherry that often graces many perfumes. Instead, it’s a much subtler, more understated sweetness, almost like a soft, worn leather that’s been brushed with a hint of vanilla or caramel. There’s no intense fruity punch, no candy-like cherry flavor that lingers. What you get is a smoother, leather-focused fragrance with just a faint whisper of sweet undertones. It’s sweet, but in a way that feels grounded in the leather itself, rather than standing out as a separate note. It’s almost like a quiet nod to the cherry, rather than a celebration of it. In terms of projection and longevity, it’s neither too overpowering nor too fleeting—lasting a solid amount of time, but never feeling like it’s too much. The sillage is moderate, making it wearable for those who prefer fragrances that don’t shout but still make a statement. Overall, Cherry Punk is a solid fragrance for fans of leather-based scents, but if you’re looking for that big, bold cherry note to stand out, you might want to look elsewhere. It’s a sweet leather fragrance, yes, but it’s more “cherry in the background” than “cherry-forward.” Nothing revolutionary, but still a pleasant experience for those who enjoy the warmth and elegance of leather with a twist of sweetness.
the best cherry perfume ive met so far for my taste I love the leather aspects im obsessed
Me!... And my punk rock soul! ❤️🔥🎸💃🏼🤘🏻 Yessss, this fragrance found me...I love everything about it...from the story and the idea of its creation to the beautiful red bottle to the stunning sensual rebel scent...I simply love this smoky leather sensual punk cherry. We enjoy (not only) rock nights together very often! ....Psttt ...I hear the song by The Runaways Cherry Bomb!🍒💣🎸 Room1015: "Punk always had its own style, its own press (fanzines), its own movies, its own poetry... So we figured it should have its own fragrance. Loud like the rehearsal in the room without sound isolation. Powerful like youth riot but still sweet and romantic - the idealism of adolescence wrapped in a heavy leather jacket." "Bold, disruptive and authentically individual."
Very sexy, very loud - at first. After a short time the very artificial, still likeable cherry becomes weak, but the great base with the prominent leather note lingers much longer. I'm not sure it is worth the price, but if you can grab it, just do it!
This really delivers what it promises! Leather, cherry, and definitely tobacco. Normally, as a smoker, I find that people exaggerate the smell of tobacco in perfume. Not in this case! It is strong, the cherry is sweet, bordering on nauseating when mixed with tobacco and leather, but not medicinal. Much like doing a shot of whiskey, this may make you slightly nauseous if used at the wrong time. This is unique and dirty; bold on an empty stomach in the daytime, but never not cool.
