Terre d'Hermès

It's a classic. My go to office fragrance. Gives off a good, fresh vibe. Safe for blind buy as well. You get that orange and pepper easily on skin.

Clean, a bit earthy, light and inoffensive. It's nice, but for me TdH Intense Vetiver is way better. IV's citrus notes are brighter and the vetiver note is just superb

Smells amazing. It reminds me of someone mysterious and wise. The earthy notes are very prominent here. In my opinion, it’s not really suitable for anyone under 30. Unfortunately, the projection is low and it fades away pretty quickly.

Smells like a peppery tea or clove. Not bad. Longevity is good. 4.5/6

Terre d'Hermès is the fragrance I always come back to. I've tried dozens of fragrances over the years, but nothing quite scratches the same itch. Every time I wear it, I notice something different. The opening is bright and citrusy, but underneath there's an earthy, mineral quality that slowly comes to life. As it dries down it becomes smoother, woodier and more refined. What I love most is how well blended it is. Nothing feels harsh or out of place. Every note flows naturally into the next, giving the fragrance real depth and complexity. It evolves throughout the day without ever losing its character. This isn't a loud fragrance that demands attention. It's subtle, confident and effortlessly sophisticated. It smells mature without feeling old-fashioned, and works just as well in the office as it does on holiday or for an evening out. I've bought plenty of fragrances hoping they'd replace Terre d'Hermès. None have. It remains my benchmark for quality and blending, and every time I wear it I'm reminded why it's considered a modern classic. 10/10. For me, this is as close to a perfect fragrance as I've worn.

Terre d'Hermes is a really nice, well transitioning fragrance. I find it to be a pleasing citrus smell that then evolves into a more peppery, woody smell that doesn't shout out that it's there, but rather lets people know subtly which is quite nice compared to other more woody/spicy oriented colognes that I have smelt. I mainly bought this due to the flint note but ended up with a fragrance that I know I will be buying for a long time. Although the flint note is somewhat non-existent, the other notes to me just make this a perfect everyday fragrance, I would even say that it could be a signature/daily scent due to how interesting and lovely it smells. I would however recommend smelling it first as it does have a smell that some people may not enjoy and is also somewhat expensive compared to other designer fragrances, but with how long it lasts, how nice it smells, how versatile it is, I think that you are definitely getting bang for your buck.

This kinda smells like orange peel cleaning products to me, but I see why some people like it. I feel like this fragrance would fit more on an older guy (45+) and not on younger guys bc it would smell like they borrowed their dads cologne if that makes any sense.

The sharp citrus and mineralic/peppery notes almost give it a citronella bug spray smell but in a pleasant, nostalgic way. Hermes does vetiver like no other in my opinion, and the dry down is where this really shines for me. It’s very classically masculine but still unique enough especially within the citrus freshy space. Really solid performance and longevity, this will stick around on me all day with minimal sprays.

going in blind, i experienced terre d'hermes as a straightforward ginger scent that dries down into something woody and fresh spicy. it develops wonderfully on my skin; a perfect day-to-night transition. the opening is great for spring and summer because it's light, easy to understand, and reminiscent of the ginger and spices you'd find in your kitchen. it makes me want to sit out in the sun with an ice-cold ginger beer and lemonade. the drydown is more suitable for a summer night, when the air cools down a bit and you stroll down the streets or perhaps a wooden boardwalk, past all the shops and restaurants, reflecting on your day and on the passage of time. i was surprised to see that ginger wasn't listed as the main top and heart note. while i do believe that you can only truly experience a fragrance by smelling it blind, i always find myself interested in smelling frags a second time after reading about them. sometimes i change my mind about them -- perfume is all about marketing, after all. i'll update this review if i end up doing that. it smells nice and clean; a good men's fragrance for those who want to smell fresh without leaning too far into citrus (ironic, given the notes) or aquatics. i find that many popular fresh spicy or aromatic men's perfumes remind me of either shower products or household cleaning products. terre delivers the same fresh feeling while, ultimately, smelling like a fragrance you'd put on your body to smell good, not just clean. it's refreshing in more ways than one -- i'm getting sick of men's frags that smell like either syrup or windex, and terre d'hermes felt like a well-needed breath of fresh air.

Terre d'Hermès EDT is a fragrance with a distinctly classic and masculine aura. It opens with its iconic, sharp citrus accord, which can be challenging at first but is exactly what I enjoy about it. As it develops, I can clearly detect the polished mineral character of the flint note. In the drydown, vetiver takes center stage, creating a smooth, velvety, and comforting finish. If you enjoy Dior Homme (2020) or Dunhill Icon EDP, this fragrance is well worth trying, although I wouldn't recommend blind buying. It can certainly work as a signature scent, but its bold opening may require a wearer who appreciates more unconventional compositions. Even so, I consider it a versatile fragrance. Its longevity and projection are what to expect from a EDT. The bottle itself conveys elegance and refinement. I believe every fragrance enthusiast should have it in their collection, given its significance in the history of modern perfumery.

Starts off promising then for me I end up with a synthetic plastic note. It remains the whole time.

Smells pleasant but can be polarizing to some people. Solid like but not love for me. Overall score 8/10. There are smoother better options out there. I wouldn't buy a bottle

Vetiver. Oh the vetiver. Mixed with orange peel very nicely. For me every other ingredient takes a back burner. Barely lurking in the back. But if you like vetiver it's strong. If you like zesty orange peel it's strong. But what I really like is how well these scents compliment each other. Sometimes I get the vetiver only. Sometimes the orange only. Then both together. Very nicely done. Definitely on the mature side. Projection and sillage isn't great. An hour ish and it's not projecting past a skin scent. Nice clean fresh scent. Earthy. Musky.

Every time I try this, I’ve really tried to give it a chance and put my biases against citrus-dominant scents aside. No matter how elegant this is supposed to be, it just strikes my nose as cleaning product or room spray. This is no exception, unfortunately

I honestly blind bought this and at first I didn't really care for it. It was interesting for sure, but I got it because people said it was similar to LV Orage. I wore it a couple times, but it felt too confusing. Flint, some sharp or peppery notes with a dry, earthy base. It just didn't seem like my taste. Then something happened! I found myself unexpectedly associating specific things with it, as I remembered what I did the last time I wore it. And so I revisited it a few more times. It was like a switch. I totally understand this one now and why it is a masterpiece. It's the most unique combo of earthiness with freshness. TDH is extremely unique, powerful and has so much character, both vintage and modern. It reassures me throughout the day; very nostalgic, masculine and professional. 10/10

The reformulation is utter gargabe, no performance, no projection, nothing. The price, though, that remains high. Same scent, but it fades away, becoming a skin scent after an hour. Nop!

Masculine, fresh, calm, and one of the best among its designer competitors. Near to niche quality. Smells like a 5 star hotel corridor. Highly recommend.

Nice for summer, really citrusy, fresh. Not that pushy, not the strongest. I just smelled it once, so i dont have much experience with it, but its a scent most will like.

There's no way people are genuinely giving this anything higher than moderate in either sillage or longevity... this is like a beautiful water, traditional fleeting cologne that can be applied liberally.

I love this one. It's just a serious fragrance that works in the office and everywhere else. People take you seriously when you wear this. Orange peel and fresh, sharp, wet forest. This is my default professional fragrance. Personal subjective score: 9/10

This scent IMMEDIATELY puts me into heat the second I smell it, Im almost not kidding. It gives "I'm a capable man who has my life together" and Maybe it will magically transform whoever wears it into exactly that. I dont know All I know is this scent is dangerous. Its nostalgic and crisp. Its orange but like pomander orange not beachy summer citus. And the vetiver and cedar add a warmth that makes it FEEL a little spicy without the actual spice. It literally makes me want to snuggle up into the neck of whoever is wearing it and feel that everything is right in the world. I dont know who at Hermes sold their soul to get the most perfect notes for a mens fragrance ever, but I thank them.

I’ve had my bottle since November of 2024. Worn it maybe 5/6 times since. Letting it mature for most of that time has truly turned it into an absolute masterclass of a citrus fragrance. Hermès does citrus better than almost any other perfume house. 10/10

This is an ok summer scent. I get straight orange peel throughout, and even though its supposed to have other notes like veviter, i never really pick that up, the orange peel definitely dominates. Performance is solid for this type. Overall not bad, but in my opinion much better stuff out there that I prefer.

What can I say, a woody fragrance with citrus in the opening rarely fails me. This is nice― it's like the adult version of some of my more niche/experimental/complex favorites (like Moonmilk). It feels like something I could wear to work, or a family dinner, and still have some of my personality come through in the scent while still being palatable, a crowd-pleaser. I have to wear it more, but could be worth buying a bottle as my go-to 'safe' option.

For years I thought its average smelling for me and a bit too bitter. Yesterday when I was looking for a scent that is masculine, classy and not very sweet I felt like it is amazing on the test strip and bought it. It seems to have a problem with both longevity and projection. For example female friend could not smell it on me(I think I put 4 sprays 1 hour ago before seeing her) But at least she said it is 10/10 and really amazing when she smelt it from bottle. But this scent is certainly not great or even pleasant for everyone, but this is something I can deal with really well as I wear fragrance firstly for myself. Yesterday another female said it is very bad smelling and gave it 3/10 and today a male friend said it is too bitter for him. Although projection seems to be really weak, I also can't smell it well on myself even half hour after applying it, I still give it a love because it is different, classy and I like the smell a lot, even though I'm still not very used to scents that have so little sweetness.

This scent is very “meh” to me. I don’t hate it and I don’t love it, but I will say it definitely lasts a while. 6-8 hours easily. And the sillage is average so it’s not overwhelming to the people around you.

Fresh, citrusy and earthy... and it has that Ellena transparency, I like it. A scent that appeals to vetiver lovers, with a cold mineral, sharp stance and an amazing woody side...
