cold and powdery at the start, sweet vanilla, powder puff. I get the Byzantium aspect, it feels like something older, forgotten. dries down into something warmer, yellow sunlight through a window, the light cast onto a wall, onto soft sheets, the skin on your neck. Ends warm and milky, nutty and comforting, but not in a cloying way. very beautiful makes me feel like a humble little almond

i'm totally a big fan of powdery vanilla perfumes. got this one randomly, i honestly love it. the price is very nice. i don't want to see any hate for it, for such a low price this is an amazing scent.. makes me so happy and cozy. wore it during some very happy moments of my life, now it only reminds me of those times

Анонім

I smell vanilla and musk, I don't get any almond or honey. It's powdery and soft.

Анонім

Warm, vanilla-y with powdery and oud like notes. It lasts a long time and its okay for the price, but it does have a car freshener/industrial type scent that more refined perfumes don't tend to have...

Анонім

musky, right amount of sweetness, deeply resinous. layer with incense and you'll smell like the main character of a well-written bl. also, this is the budget alternative to a full-blown, wonderful quality blend the likes of frederick malle would release. love.<3

I love this scent - I have it as a fabric softener and a body wash cream and I definitely want the perfume ! 🤍

Анонім

Smells exactly like a fabric softener, clean powdery vanilla.

Анонім

strong powdery almond vanilla, a bit like car smell vanilla, but great for the price for the sweet elegant perfume

Why do I love this so much??? :) I have tons of expensive perfumes at home, I even have Angels Share, but for some reason, I keep coming back to this one during the winter months, especially in the holiday season! I even tried to find a more expensive perfume that smelled the same, so I wouldn’t feel bad about using something so cheap :D But did not find any. It’s an absolute gem. Creamy cinnamon, almond, nutmeg, spicy, and enveloping. Whenever I put it on, I immediately feel cozy and homey. The great thing is that I don’t feel bad about spraying it constantly and repeatedly (unlike Angels Share).

For this insaneely low price the performance and quality of this is incredible! The scent itself isn’t a let down either. Such a perfect creamy, milky, sweet almond with a vibrant vanilla and heliotrope I ADOREE THISS! It really smells delicious, and it’s ideal for layering with other fragrances

I am very sorry, but for me it smells exactly like toilet paper and baby wipes. Can't think of any other scent, but generic bathroom... Absolutely overhyped.

Анонім

I bought it to try because I liked the shower gel. It's incredible. I have so many expensive perfumes, and I ended up addicted to a perfume that costs 5 EURO. :) :) :) Love it.

Since I enjoy Montale's Sweet Oriental Dream, I was excited at the possibility of a 4€ dupe. I did a side by side: SOD on one arm and Byzantium on the other. Let's get one thing out of the way immediately: Byzantium is not by any means a dupe for SOD. SOD is a nougat rose dripping with honey. Byzantium is much more almond and labdanum based, and the rose is imperceptible, replaced with heliotrope. Now don't get me wrong, Byzantium is a very nice fragrance. And yes it is in the same family as SOD. But a cousin. Not a twin. And that's actually a good thing! Byzantium has its own personality and is not just a lame copy. The other aspect I need to mention is longevity. Three hours after spraying, Byzantium is barely there anymore, while SOD keeps on going. Then again, it doesn't really matter, at this price you can reapply to your heart's content. For the price, I think Byzantium is a pretty great fragrance.

Cheap, yet beast mode. This is a much cleaner fragrance than I expected, it does give off baby powder at the beginning (and this note lingers), but when the honey and heliotrope emerge, it turns so nice. Clean and creamy, very pretty, definitely more feminine leaning and lasts a LOT. Pity the rose isn’t as present as I thought it’d be!

On first spray this is very almondy and creamy! I definitely get some powder but it's not actually the strongest note to me which is somewhat disappointing because I guess I was hoping for it to smell exactly like loukhoum. But I think if I give it a day and appreciate how it's different from loukhoum I'll be glad. Also, the bottle itself smelled extremely chemical-y and synthetic and the scent is still all over my hands so thats impacting how I'm currently perceiving the scent. Edit: I’ve really started to love this fragrance!! That synthetic smell went away after a week or two. As I said before she’s quite almondy, opening with almost an amaretto scent, with a hint of cinnamon. As it dries down the cinnamon and more deep almond amaretto fade, and you have a more pillowy sweet marzipan with honey-vanilla. It’s really nice and comforting on the dry down, and it always gives me a craving for a decadent almond pastry. I prefer the softer, creamier, more powdery dry down as I find the amaretto cinnamon vibes to be a bit much, but regardless a genuinely beautiful scent and an insane value. To compare it to loukhoum, which I do still prefer slightly, I would say that both are powdery, creamy, and decadent almond fragrances fit for an eastern princess. But loukhoum is like sweet baby powder with an undertone of marzipan that shines through in the vanilla dry down, and Byzantium is pure almond with an undertone of powder that is subtle enough to never be “baby powder-ish” but keeps the sweetness at bay. Also I get a stronger honey note in Byzantium than in loukhoum. Personally i actually love the sweet/spicy baby powder profile of loukhoum which is why I slightly prefer it, but truly I love this fragrance and I am so glad to have it in my collection.

Just got today, too powdery. I like Hammam most.

sweet almond and baby powder hell yeah

I love this scent, I use it as home perfume right doesn't last long but I can smell it for 3 days whenever enter the house. And yes you can spry a lot as the whole bottle is around 4€

it truely saddens me that people overlook perfumes just based on their lower price. this is in my mind a perfect example of how you can find love in the places you least expect it. the composition is just so well structured that it's harmonious. on the initial smell you are greeted with a spicy yet soft opening. as it develops a wonderful honey note peaks trough,as if you are smelling a honeycomb or yet cooking honey on the stove. such a shame its short lived. the aftermath is quiet lovely and comforting. i think it shines best in colder weather, but it can be used in warmer months. with caution considering its potency. lasts long i would say 6+ hours. projection is very good and it fills up the whole room. if clean and pleasant scents are your cup of tea, give it a try you wont regret it.

I love the bath cream of this. But the fragrance is not as refined and pretty.

I have spent most of my money on perfume this last year, so it's very ironic that I have ultimately come back to this 10 euro scent I bought at the complete beginning of my journey. Most scents seem to annoy me recently, or even make me nauseous, but this one is just the perfect blend of everything I love. It's sweet but not heavy, it makes me feel fresh yet it has something sexy to it, and it has never made me nauseous. I also don't seem to get tired of it, even though it lasts very long.

I really can not believe I only paid 4 and a half euro for this one... With one spray, it lasted till the next day on my wrists and forever on clothes. It needs caution with the sprays because it is STRONG! Now to the smell: This is exactly what I would imagine a Byzantine empress would smell like! It is multidimensional, sometimes it smells like a dessert with honey and almonds, sometimes like milk and rice dessert with a lot of cinnamon on top (arroz con leche) sometimes like a loukhoum, with a bit of rose water. All of its facets are always supported by creamy vanilla and soft powder. I really love this one, I got to buy the fabric softener as well so my clothes will smell like this 😆

Анонім

This reminds me of Shalimar, so soft and cozy, like baby powder but better.

Анонім

I don't know by what High end perfume this is inspired but. But I can tell you that it's amazing, sweet but in a powdery way with a vanilla that is not harsh, almost ethereal. It has an unbeatable price point and an amazing longevity. It's also a huge compliment getter, love it!

Анонім

Creamy, powdery vanilla.Maybe a bit suffocating when you overdo it but in In smaller ones doses is really pleasant 🤍

Анонім

You know, if you love baby powdery scents with a little bit of almond/heliotrope then this is going to be your thing. It reminds me of a perfume I used to have but the name escapes me, it’s really familiar and nostalgic though. Cozy, creamy, dried down to a comfortable scent, tiny hint of spice. Could be headache inducing on the wrong day though.

Анонім

For this price the sillage and longevity is super good. Definitely won't recommend for blind buy. Some of my friends don't like this perfume because for some of them this perfume smells like a cleaning product??? Which i strongly disagree. It's very oriental the almond and vanilla is definitely there but i don't smell any rose or any other flowers. 8/10

Very powdery, no rose in my nose (for some reason), musky and soapy! I love wearing this to bed.

Анонім

The opening is a heavy cheap rose, kind of what you can expect from an old potpourri, with soapy notes. It starts being interesting when the vanilla shows up and turns the dry rose into something sweeter and more edible, with just enough sourness to avoid being overwhelming. Also, I feel like the musk is what's enhancing the whole fragrance. The drydown doesn't disappoint, it is a nice blend of cocoa and vanilla. I think the fragrance's development is great even though the opening smells very cheap. It's definitely worth trying for those who crave clean musk with gourmand notes, and a such a nice surprise considering the price point.
