Is this the same as layering Neroli Portofino and Soleil Blanc???

Creamy-fresh, tropical fragrances have never ranked highly on my book. I get why people like them, apart from being heavily influenced by social media influencers, but I personally never found this genre to my liking. Most compositions I tried either leaned too heavily on the sunscreen-like direction, or they turned too sweet and fruity. Eau de Soleil Blanc is a case of the former, although not entirely. I say that because the structure here is primarily floral. Creamy tuberose aided by neroli and citruses to give it a zesty lift at the start, make it a little refreshing rather than completely creamy-sweet-floral. The ylang-ylang further aids with a bit of its banana-reminiscent aroma, but it's less prominent here. What doesn't shy away is the creamy, coconut-like sunscreen accord, which soon pushes through and stays present throughout most of the wear. Meanwhile, the tonka bean creates an alliance with the pistachio and benzoin to assist the composition with this vanillic accent, but it's also gently nutty and even buttery, although it's hard to pinpoint the creamy and buttery attributes here, as they all blend together into one. It's sweet, but not too sweet for a summer evening, which is the designated context in which people want to wear these type of fragrances. It does have a faint tropical-ish vibe, but it just falls rather stale in the end, and it lacks that particular lift of a tropical vibe. Then again, this is a more floral-creamy composition, so it's not going to be all papaya, tangy passion fruit, and Aperol Spritz, and maybe leaning more on the feminine side. Eau de Soleil Blanc did cling to my skin like a proper sunscreen and lasted around 9-10 hours. Unfortunately, it didn't do as well in terms of performance, but it offered moderate pushing power for the first ~2 hours, never anything too crazy, after which it would very rapidly settle closer to my skin. Versatility and likeability are essential in the designer realm, and this particular genre of fragrances in which Eau de Soleil Blanc falls into is anything but daring, bold, or innovative. So, apart from leaning a little more feminine, this is an easy grab for largely any occasion, but as stated, summer and summer evenings in particular are the targeted context. But would you be willing to pay close to €180 for a 100ml bottle of just another iteration of the creamy-fresh, sunscreen genre, with a more floral backbone? There's smaller bottle sizes available too, but even then, the overall end result that you're getting is just not worth it, in my opinion. It ends up stale, safe, without much that makes it stand out among its peers (apart from the Tom Ford name). I'd much rather simply pick a more regular freshie, even something as the very affordable Missoni Wave, than spend so much more for a floral-creamy, vanillic nothingburger such as Eau de Soleil Blanc. But, that's just me. Presentation: 6.5/10 Scent: 5.5/10 Longevity: 8/10 Projection: 4/10 Versatility: 9/10 Value for Money: 2/10 Overall: 5.8/10

"Eau de Soleil Blanc | Tom Ford" is fresh, creamy, uplifting and carefree. A blend of citruses, solar coconut and beach sunscreen vibes. I get a decent 4 hours projection and longevity from mine. I picked this over the original "Soleil Blanc (Eau de Parfum) | Tom Ford" as the strength of the pistachio note is that one just didn’t agree with my skin. While Eau De Soleil still has the pistachio, it’s much softer and adds a nice touch to separate this from other similar scents in this category. Eau De Soleil is just such a lovely, happy, summer scent. Light enough for daily wear and totally unisex.

I love this. It's like the most delicious sunscreen smell but fancier. I loved Beach Walk and Sailing Day by Maison Margiela and this one feels very similar, maybe leaning a bit more masculine as it dries down. It has a coconut sweetness and warmth after the initial dazzle of sunny citrus. I'm definitely keeping this in my beach bag for coming off the surf and going out to dinner.

Smells so luxe and summery... I definitely want a bottle! I wish it was a little stronger for the price, though.

This is in my top 5 summer fragrances for sure. I sold my bottle and bought it back 6 months later because I couldn't stop thinking about it. The citrus is so tart but airy at the same time. Its got this solar feel to it and it stays airy even though it has a creamy white floral-coconut combo under the citrus. The white florals aren't piercing or indolic at all, theyre extremely mass appealing. It isn't groundbreakingly unique but it is just so so good to me and brings me memories of vacation. Performance isn't very good but it doesn't need to be. I get about 4 ½ hours and about an 1 ½ hours of projection. Split unisex for me, but I am a man who's a sucker for white florals so take that as you will 9.5/10

to be honest, this shit smells as expensive as it actually costs HAHAHA like jokes aside, this smells like rich coconut summer, so elegant, a cardamon orange blossom smell with coconut and sun, with a powdery smell that even if you hate the note you will like in here, and is 100% feminine, there's nothing unisex on this fragrance to be honest, wish it had more coconut, but it is there, coconut, elegant, solar, so pretty, i dont get the sunscreen note everyone says, and if so, it would be like the most expensive coconut sunscreen in the world, this is the perfume that will make you smell like the most expensive person on the room, forget that arabian perfume shit that stinks like ambroxol and amber, or your nasty Libre or Burberry goddess, this is the real deal, and im so glad im the only person i know who actually has and wears this, you wont like it if you are searching for a fruity basic bitsh perfum, this is solar, expensive, i dont give a damn casual scent, coz im telling ya, this price is crazy, but yeah, you can actually smell that costed a lot, nothing cheap on this smell

Every single time I put this perfume, i get compliments. People ask me about what perfume is it. Such a beautiful, summer perfume. Even I have a lot of great perumes, this is my most complimeted.

Eau de Soleil Blanc… this is my “luxury atoll” in a bottle, done right! Not touristy. For the geniuses who say it’s “basically the same as Soleil Blanc (the parfum), just less lasting”: don’t say BS, please. Eau de Soleil Blanc is brighter, airier and fresher, while Soleil Blanc is denser, spicier and warmer. Eau de Soleil Blanc opens with clean citrus and neroli, then that creamy sunshine rolls in: a light coconut, white flowers (tuberose/jasmine vibe), pale amber. It’s not a “girly floral.” It’s androgynous and polished: clean skin, a linen shirt, sun-warmed body, an expensive hotel that doesn’t need to shout. The difference from other stuff is simple: no aggressive plastic scraping your nose. It’s bright without being shrill, sensual without being greasy, ELEGANT WITHOUT THAT OLD-GRANDPA AFTERSHAVE VIBE. It gives that “I’m put together” effect without clowning for attention. Real downside: high price, and the performance isn’t always war-level. But the point isn’t a truck-driver sillage. It’s the aura. IF YOU WANT CONTEXTUAL REAL STATUS, THIS IS A CLEAN BLADE—not a megaphone.

I was definitely intrigued by the prospect of this perfume given how much I like the EdP. If the EdP could do with some sort of treatment, it would be to make it a bit lighter and airier - which is what the TF Eau EdT flankers are supposed to do (or so I thought). If you were to spritz this blind, there would be absolutely no question it's Soleil Blanc; it stays very true to the EdP. Too true, honestly. Rather than making it lighter, more breathable and effervescent, TF has simply dumbed down the EdP. The big and heavy florals and coconut haven't had their DNA altered at all, and the alluring complexities of the EdP's evolution have been stripped away. By deleting the details that live within the EdP, what you are left with is a more linear version of the EdP with lesser performance. What TF have "said" they've done to this flanker to make it brighter and lighter - pistachio and citrus - is so minute and/or short-lived that you would have to say they're imperceptible if they're actually there at all. Don't get me wrong, I still like this perfume despite feeling very let down, but the EdP is simply a lot better. Missed opportunity to do something different with the EdP and instead just made it... worse.

Although this is feminine, I received a sample that I got with a discovery set and secretly spray on myself when I'm alone in the house haha. Although this can be unisex, it's a bit too feminine for me to get away with (only exception would be the beach). This smells so good, and would smell heavenly on a woman.

Does it smell luxurious? You bet. Is that opening refreshing on a hot day? Yep. Does its linear wear get boring and flat smelling after a while? Unfortunately for me, yes.

living in a hot (45-50C at the summer) vacation city (at the mediterranean nonetheless) picking this one up at only 128$/100ml is a no brainer after searching for the one and only neroli perfume i think i got it, smells amazing even for the office!but i think it needs a lil maceration

Very nice, perfect for summer! I love this fragrance. I use these fragrances along with musk therapy, a perfect combination to rock on hot days.

Somebody please tell me the new version is the same. The longevity on this is bad enough & the small bottle of the EDP I've purchased smells exactly like Kate Spade Live Colourfully (knew I should have retested because I hadn't smelled the EDP in Years (knowingly.) Several French Websites & the English Websites who get sneaky tax breaks because they're registered in Guernsey etc are selling the "New Version" much more cheaply & there is very little mention of pistachio. Not sure it would be "Affordable" currently for me to buy 6 100ml bottles of this before it's gone but I might try to get a couple & then hopefully get a few more as presents at Christmas/my Birthday if it's still available. Quelle dommage🫣 - if it's gone forever soon. I don't like the new packaging either. There's only one thing that tends to signal & it's downgraded EDT usually. This is the only EDT I buy because usually I prefer the EDP & it stores better - which matters - but I've always loved this in the EDT bc I love the opening & the dry down. The EDP has a smidgen too much ylang for my tastes but this has just the right amount of citrus etc (& needs no more.) Somebody writing about the new one talks about it "Now" (🫣) having a "Sparkling" addition of citrus (& bergamot) & doesn't mention pistachio (& I'm hoping she has just never tried it before & Like many obsessed with their Collection & all beautiful perfumes reformulations are the nemesis of my inamourata (& this is looking like another of the good ones has been - well "Tinkered with." (Estee Lauder have a lot to answer for.) Let's hope their supposedly "TF" offerings don't go the way of Dior (& be ruined.) Hope somebody on here has also tried the one in the new packaging & has good news though Fingers crossed for good news. (Like most people currently we are at the mercy of the Cost of Living Crisis & suddenly buying several bottles of this would be - well (even naughtier than usual.) At the moment 2 x 100ml would be a bit much but look what Dior (not Christian Dior) did to my beloved Dune - when I was a very little girl it was so very beautiful (like baked sand with a subtle but stunning smidgen of oakmoss in the base - tonka mainly + an almost savoury vanilla. (Not the "Just the top Notes + what can only be described as not much more than cakeshop/icing sugar vanilla) & no tonka whatsoever & definitely no sign of the rosewood or other remembered notes. As I found when I purchased a new 100ml deep in Pandemic Lockdown - all that's left after wearing it for 2hrs was the sugary vanilla that has never been noticed in any real bottle of CD Dune. I had a couple of very large bottles (& somehow never thought they would ruin such perfection) but.. the Umbrella Companies manufacture everything now (& even the formerly high quality of Givenchy (Everything - even the hats & scarves) & the formerly high concentration of oils in the Eau de Parfums has gone straight down the lavatory. My new bottle of CD Dune has only a tiny hint of something pretending to be "Oakmoss") for the first hour - most of the mid & basenotes have disappeared (& I have an awful suspicion that EDSB may well have lost the pistachio the hint of tonka (& been replaced with.... coumarin!) The new ingredients list "Coumarin" & a few others that I don't remember seeing on the old ingredients list. (Arghh!) Please tell me it's not so - somebody!🤭I am having a small smile here - but.. Must everything be reduced to low quality basic tat - even in the quite expensive perfume bracket. (I refuse to buy most niche because it's overpriced & ridiculous.) I only buy what I really like or preferably love (& will spend a lot on those I love) but Middle Eastern Perfumes are not for me & I especially don't like Oud) although I do like some spicy but not too strong perfumes. I have noticed too - that a lot of the (very expensive) Tom Ford Private Collection are either a copy or are heavily "Inspired by" by various Perfumes of the 1970s & 80s or even before (the real Tom Ford is the same age as my Aunt apparently) I'd always thought he was slightly older) but he seems to love a lot of the things that my actual Great Aunt/surrogate Grandmother did (my real Grandparents died before I was born; all of them) & she was a huge influence on me × we spent most weekends together until way into my late teens (& when she Died when I was in my early twenties it was as if a force of nature was gone - it was difficult for all of us to get used to her "Not" being here.) My Gt Aunt was part of the Fashion Industry + had such grace & style & she loved perfumes - meaning that & I was very much spoiled by good quality everything & especially regarding those 1980s & 1990s strength perfumes & all the pre Ifra Regulations fragrances (those which u could spray once or twice in the Morning at 7/8a.m & be beautifully fragranced all day) - & then still wash off much of those perfumes (including a decent quantity of the mids & base) at bathtime late in the Evening. We were all very spoiled by those & some of those issued now are.. well. Not of the quality of their predecessors. Some of them are very watered down indeed. Let's hope this one remains itself at least though - & is not changed (& that the current barely 3hrs longevity also survives the new "Packaging.") It's made as a summery EDT though therefore I try to excuse the lasting power - though I wear it often enough Year -round. Due to the Longevity in fact I tried not to Love this one for quite a while but - the heart wants what the heart wants & I'm very very fond of it. Even finding out it was worn by a group of very annoying extremely perma-tanned Wannabe Nudist German Women in Croatia (who didn't realise it was a "Regular" beach & meant for "Not" Nudists (& who complained about that & almost everything in a lovely resort for Ten Days straight) did not put me off wearing this. (Which was not the case for JPG Classique) after I noticed a certain very loud barmaid in a very unfortunate pleather dress wearing far too much of the EDP & the entire quiet very tastefully decorated bar of a rather wonderful restaurant reeking of it for all the hours we were there I left my (2008 full strength original bottle of the EDT I waa givdn by my Gt Aunt) alone for about 2Years after that & then another two more) although my Mum knowing I loved it then gave me another 100ml for Christmas that Year (& so I hoped to forget the scent-memory a while later) but to no avail I have found. I never have quite felt like myself wearing the EDT ever afterwards although I saved the final 29ml of the original bottle for sentimental purposes deep inside the darkened walk in closet where all the Perfumes live. This is light & unassuming though & the faint but creamy pistachio + sunlit quality that it has are all rather wonderful. It is something that is uplifting (& comforting at the same time) & importantly it really is something that actually does feel luxurious + a little bit special whenever u wear it🥰 I always think & I really hope it remains entirely unchanged outside of the bottle/packaging at least. Hope that somebody can confirm this asap & will compare the one with the new packaging side by side with the old one for us.

I didn't think I would like this so much. I usually gravitate towards aromatic perfumes, marine notes, unisex scents that leave you confused. And eau de soleil blanc could be described as sunny, slightly sweet, vacation mood on, unproblematic, luxury resort lobby, day by the pool at an all-inclusive. I am sad I discovered it so late, I want to wear this every summer from now on. Luckily, I got a bottle from the old batch because the 2025 version smells reformulated to me; I don't think it's just the bottle that is different.

I get a salty, fresh marine quality to this and almost crisp watermelon in addition to the creamy coconut floral. Yep, perfect for summer, refined at the beach in a bottle.

I'll be honest, I didn't think I'd love this scent as much as I do. This is such an uplifting, bright and easy-going citrus scent mixed with white florals that just makes me smile whenever I smell this. It really puts the "gentle" in "gentleman", but it is very much unisex, not every scent on a guy need so be a hulking brute. Longevity is nothing to write home about, projection is more or less the same. But still... Something about this scent DNA just feels like it's calling to me. Also, in my opinion - the 100ML bottle is really beautiful, not that it really matters. I just love this fragrance. It also doesn't hurt that I got it for a STEAL of a price.

Wearing this, I almost got mistaken for someone actually living the “Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous.” Not the Good Charlotte pop-punk class-envy anthem. More like the “Daddy owns a yacht and I summer in Saint-Tropez” type. I wore this on vacation last week, dressed up for once, at a Prosecco bar in some bougie part of town that’s totally not my scene. After a few glasses of bubbly, a sharply dressed Richie Rich shows up at my table. Seemingly charming, tall, decent hair. Compliments my outfit and perfume. Buys me another glass. Says he’d love to go for a stroll and then walk me “home.” Hm. I could see it in his eyes: he definitely thought I was staying around the corner at the Ritz-Carlton, the Park Hyatt, or some penthouse with floor-to-ceiling windows and a tray of cocaine. What a bummer. In reality, I was crashing in a glorified Airbnb next to a laundromat and had a metal gig lined up the next night. I thanked him and passed. He was wearing beige pants anyway. Eau de Soleil doesn’t smell modern. It smells golden, like old glamour. Retro and dripping in decadence. It’s giving lazy-erotic-cult-classic La Piscine (1969), where Alain Delon and Romy Schneider are half-naked, beautiful, and dangerously bored out of their minds. This is what they’d wear, sharing the bottle like reckless lovers and partners in crime. ❤️🚬 Normally I despise coconut in perfume. It screams plasticky Yankee Candle or Uber driver air freshener. But here it’s quiet, beachy, and milky-soft. Slightly salty. Surprisingly tolerable. It doesn’t scream, it purrs. It gets heavier on white flowers as it goes. Orange blossom, jasmine, and tuberose blend into a tropical, nectar-sweet veil. Almost like honeysuckle, even if it’s not on the list. (@Minachuux 👏) At the opening, I got a lemon sorbet-pistachio gelato vibe. 🍋🍨 Like stepping into an upscale gelateria tucked between designer boutiques on the French Riviera. A bowl of lemon sorbet, pistachio gelato, coconut cream, and vanilla bean, topped with flakes of sea salt, a pinch of cardamom or caraway, and a dusting of grated tonka. Definitely the most expensive ice cream you’ll ever have. Longevity’s nothing to write home about. Two hours, tops. Spraying it into my hair gave it some trail, which apparently lured Mr. Beige Pants in like a siren call. The sunscreen comparison's been run into the ground. If that’s true, I’ve been using the wrong one my whole life. I mean, I WISH sunscreen smelled like this. If anything, it's more like tanning oil, or maybe ylang-ylang and jasmine after-sun lotion you rub into your flushed, salty skin after a day of pretending not to burn. I wouldn’t wear this in the dead of summer. I’d suffocate. Late August to early October would be better, imo. Still warm, but just enough to feel bronzed, not grilled. As a freshie fiend, I’ll take Eau over the regular Soleil Blanc any day. It’s lighter on coconut and tonka, heavier on citrus and sparkle. Fresher. Greener. And yet, for all its gloss, it didn't touch me. It’s not my idea of sexy. It’s pretty. And sometimes pretty is just… boring. But it definitely pulls rich moms, retired sugar daddies, and wannabes who blow rent money trying to pass as either on the ’gram. 🙄 It pulls the more mature crowd too. 'Cause, frankly, it had me feeling like a 50+ lady who brings a cardigan to evening brunch in summer “just in case there’s a breeze.” But hey, for two hours, I fooled a guy into thinking I was old money. I'll take the win. 🥂 🛥️💤🥥 3/5 — smelled expensive, but I still yawned. Like a poolside fling you forget by breakfast, still dreaming about that coconut gelato that actually knew how to hit.

While grabbing breakfast on my way to work, it's interactions like this that are quickly forging the case of Eau de Soleil Blanc becoming one of my favorite summer fragrances. A fluffy coconut, unisex white floral. Like a $1000 bottle of suntan lotion from a bougie spa along the beach of somewhere beautiful. I prefer this Eau version, as it's wispy and airy in my 100+ degree scorching summers, without compromise. Rating 10/10

Eau de Soleil Blanc by Tom Ford is hands down more delicious than the original Soleil Blanc, at least to my nose. Yes, it’s your classic coconut sunscreen scent—but honestly, it’s the best one I’ve ever smelt. There’s something about it that feels a bit more refined and vibrant. For me, it strikes that perfect unisex balance: breezy, radiant, and never too sweet. I find it much more interesting and layered than the overrated Beach Walk by Maison Martin Margiela (sorry not sorry!). While Beach Walk smells nice, Eau de Soleil Blanc has that extra sparkle that keeps me coming back to it. I’m honestly so happy to have it in my collection—it’s one of the first I reach for whenever I’m packing for a holiday. Summer in a bottle, but make it chic.

I really like the sent. I know it kind of smells like sun tan lotion but its much deeper and complex.

Best coconut sunscreen fragrance I have ever smelt. For me it’s perfectly unisex. On my skin I smell coconut, neroli and the citruses the most. I am definitely getting a bottle soon👌🏻

Very nice, perfect for summer. Tried it several times and kept thinking it reminded me of Nina Soleil. Very, very similar. I like Nina's better. The differences are subtle, neither are long lasting fragrances. TF is a little sharper and I notice more jasmin. Nina has gardenia. It is soft and lovely.
