My first time ford and man is it awsome. Its a sweet leather... like what i wish my leather jacket smelled like. I love this
Nose Note #1136 I'll be very concise. It's an another wonderful beautiful rendition of something like Rosendo Mateu Nº 5 done to match closer with Babycat, but not quite there, yet very very similar. For that matter you have many other similar clones, Lattafa Al Shuyukh Gold, Lattafa Ameer - both are good, Paris Corner Rifaaqat is more different and sort of cheaper smelling. Mancera Xplicit Vanilla is also very good and stronger than Tom Ford, but sweeter and again just draws more differences to Babycat. French Avenue Fierte is the king. I'd say this and Fierte nail it. Both are great. But the price is uncomfortable. Anyway, it was nice buying a decant of this, but fortunately there's always Fierte... Nothing has beaten it yet. Also, my two cents - I think the DNA is more feminine with any clone you take. Different spectrum of "more feminine", but still barely unisex to my nose. 9/10
I have a full bottle 100% for trade if anyone wants it / south Miami area ( locals ) or IG - rickyrichmind msg me
Call me crazy... but this kind of reminds me of Armani Code (2004 original version).. must be the leather and vanilla and tonka bean notes.
Good, a bit lighter clone of old ELDO's Tom of Finland/Clean Suede, nothing more, nothing less.
Pretty good and im sure the edp is even better. This smells so complex even tho it doesn't last much
To me, this is a pleasant mixture of Ombre Leather and Noir Extreme. Not quite sure about its projection and longevity yet, I'm probably going noseblind, but up close it smells pleasant. There's something like a salty note too.
Beautiful stuff, YET, they vary, I once used one bottle and i could smell it for hours, then i bought it a year later and it fades within minutes, It frustrates me so so much
This is the scent I’ve been hunting for, it is the exact smell of leftover lingering sweet amber cologne on my leather jacket from the night before. Like more leather than cologne. It’s perfect to me at least because of the association I have with it but it’s still very wearable if you like the smell of leather.
A lot of cardamom and vanille. This is NOT similar to ombre leather EDP. Different profile. Did not like it
Pure Kulfi Ice-cream
This is a good one. Unique and definitely has a sexy, refined vibe to it. This would smell like money on a well groomed man. My favorite of the line.
The opening is great. After an hour, it smells overly synthetic, which ruins the experience because unrealistic leather is uninspiring. The candied leather makes it lean more feminine. The drydown is okay-ish.
Pretty good Babycat dupe.. Just kidding, but they are really close. In my own opinion, I prefer this one on my skin more than Babycat. It is very different from the other Ombre Leathers, but they share almost the same opening which I love (the only difference is that this one has a sweeter more soft opening but you can still identify the Ombre DNA). I dont like it as much as the other ombre leathers, but I do have to admit that its surely way easier to wear than the other two and is definetly more mass appealing (I made some people I know smell it and they all prefered this one over the original). I just love that animalic leather from the original Ombre Leather and how dark it is compared to this one... (My love for Ombre Leather is unmatched!) Seriously though when i first smelt it I was thinking to myself: "Dang, did I already smell this fragrance?" and it just randomly clicked to me that it smelt just like Babycat with some key differences. I dont own this fragrance but I did fully test it on skin, the drydown is to die for man its so good! Definetly a 9/10 for me and I would personally buy this over Babycat!
Whew this nice. Its got a lot more notes in it that are not listed here but they're playing a big role in this creation. Reminds me of Armani Code Profumo alot! I wish I still had some to do a side by side comparison. Also reminds me of penhaligon's eau de audacity. I love this stuff and I think it punches way above its price. I really appreciate TF not just following whatevers trending by making unique scents. Like most TF fragrances I wouldn't say its blind buy safe.
It looks very much like Babycat. I prefer this one. 10/10 Sexy
This fragrance feels like confidence bottled up. The leather is smooth, elegant, and much easier to wear than the original Ombré Leather. It smells expensive from the very first spray and gives off a polished, sophisticated vibe that I really enjoy. Interestingly, this isn't a fragrance that gets me a huge number of compliments. Instead, it tends to generate stronger reactions from people who notice it. Rather than hearing "you smell nice," it's more likely to be "what are you wearing?" To me, that's a sign that it has character. It's not trying to please everyone. It's trying to stand out
I was genuinely shocked when I've tried it for the first time. I'm not a big fan of an Ombre Leather line, so I wasn't expecting anything special. But then I've encounered it in a store and I absolutely fell in love with it! The vanilla note is blended with the leather so well that this scent becomes a unique one, standing separately from the others from the line. It easily became one of my most favorite fragrances out there.
Wow. This is unbelievably good. Smooth leather and vanilla combined with hints of gingerbread and orange and a whiff of tobacco and smoke. The scent is addictive to me. It lasts all day. My new favourite perfume.
A beautiful amber scent profile. Intimate and comforting to wear. This reminds me very much of Babycat and a slew of recent designer fragrances (Bleu de Chanel l'Exclusiff and Burberry Parfum Intense and Elixir come to mind). It's great sweet scent for date nights and the Winter and Fall. Despite the name and lineage, I find the leather to actually be more of a background character than the star of the show and is mostly relegated to the side through most of the wear. Labdanum, vanilla, and amber are the stars here with cardamom, peppercorn, and ginger also playing supporting characters with the leather. Performance is great for an EDT (I was shocked to find out this is only an EDT). It gets an easy 8-9 hours of wear on skin, much longer on clothing, although this will stain lighter colored garments. Depending on skin chemistry, projection is strong for the first 2 hours and slowly recedes to a skin scent by hour 6.5 and disappears not long after. This is definitely a unisex fragrance, leaning masculine to my nose. Somewhat mature yet still playful with the amber and vanilla sweetness. Great for the cooler months and cooler nights in the not so cool months. Definitely smells mature and polished, very smooth like Babycat though it's much smoother than BDC l'Exclusiff and the Burberrys. It's a great composition, albeit derivative of other composition (RM No.5 and Babycat especially come to mind), but can be found for very reasonable prices compared to its predecessors. On the flip side, you can get Paris Corner Rifiqaat for $30 which is going to get you 85 of the way there and smells extremely smooth. Vote with your money!
This is the fragrance that made me realize I actually enjoy leather scents. Masculine, elegant, and full of character without feeling too heavy. It has the perfect balance between being unique and easy to wear. Every time I wear it, I feel well dressed, even in jeans and sneakers
What an amazing scent, smells like butter cookies (most likely due to vanilla accord) and BMW E46 leather seats. Very solid longevity, around 7 hours on skin, and more on clothes. Truly an amazing leathery scent that doesn't go into the leather jacket category, staying sweet but true to its nature. One of the most affordable and memorable scents from Tom Ford. However, I don't think the concentration makes it viable for the winter weather; it shines most during spring/fall seasons.
If you're looking to overdoes on vanilla, you've come to the right party, baby! Don't let the "Eau" in the name throw you off thinking this is anything light! =)()(
I wouldn't say Masterpiece (it ain't no TF JP) but easily one of my most wearable and compliment getting fall/winter/spring fragrance. Fits lots of situations while being classy, sexy and mature. I'm doing a layer today with Prada Amber Pour Homme, which in my opinion gives it a bit of a youthful touch. Reminds me of JPG Le Male Essence which boggles my mind that a top 5 JPG all time for me, imho, is discontinued.
This review is strictly about the scent profile. Good for cold weather day or night. Transitions well from casual daytime to formal event to night out in the cold weather months. The vanilla is prominent but not in a gourmand pastry way. To me, the leather holds it back from being totally pastry like. I am picky when it comes to cold weather fragrances because I don’t like the gourmand pastry stuff. If you wanted to own 1 fall and winter fragrance you could literally just own this and you’d be good. Again, versatile strictly for the colder months.
To be honest this isn't anything outstanding. Yet it is enjoyable and easy-to-wear. Simply put this is not a sharp nor overpowering sweet vanilla, but a tame dry sweet vanilla supported by a little bit of depth and darkness from the leather facet. This is in no way a leather-forward fragrance like the original, instead think raw dry bourbon vanilla rubbed on some worn black leather. This is a masculine-leaning scent 100%. I see that some of the reviews say this is feminine-leaning, but I'm assuming that's from die-hard leather fans. Yes it is a vanilla scent, but it doesn't mean it is feminine, that dark leather facet really pushes the fragrance a certain way. Performance is pretty strong, it definitely doesn't pierce the air as much as the original does, but I would say this is a lot more versatile and wearable due to it being overall generic. If it wasn't for the leather accord I would say it smells pretty similar to like furniture polish you get. This is one of those fragrances that gets you into the game, I think if it wasn't a gift it wouldn't be in my collection - it's too generic. The original is instead something unique and outstanding, this is just, well, vanilla and frankly it isn't the highest-quality. I get the similarities to YSL Babycat, but Babycat blows this out of the water quality-wise and has so much more depth.
Just so beautiful, like a greaser with his leather jacket rested on the passenger seat.
The fragrance is quite nice, wearable year-round, and sophisticated. However, I much prefer the other fragrances in this leather line.
I was expecting better but it is smelling like piss to me it's probably the mix of leather-ginger. But leather vanilla is good.
Not comparing it to the other fragrances in the line, as i don't own them (yet), I have to say this is an absolute masterpiece. I have smelled the other frags in the line however. I find myself addicted to smelling this. The only gripe I have is that I don't find that I have too many places to wear this, but that is more subjective to each individual. This is a masterpiece vanilla leather fragrance that I find leans more masculine. The initial spray opens with more ginger and cardamom than you'd find in the drydown, as described in the top notes, which is pleasant and light. The dry down is where it becomes more intimate and warm with the vanilla and leather shining through even more than they do in the opening. Hands down a wonderful fragrance. This fragrance is for individuals who want more of a fresher and more sweet vanilla take, instead of the dark rugged leather smell like the other Ombre Leather frags in the lineup. The other ones are just as good, but for people complaining that this one has too much vanilla and not enough leather, that's what the other frags in the lineup are for.
