Ombré Leather (2018)

Smells like when you walk into a man’s house in his forties who smokes in his house sits in a leather recliner and gambles all day. Some may like it but it is NOT for me

I bought a small sample to try and wasn't sure initially. But I like it now. It's a very masculine, smoky, leather fragrance. I can also imagine it might cause nausea and headache for some people. It might remind some of the smell from a car that's been sitting under the sun for a long time, the whiff you get when you open the door and sit inside. I was scared I might be one too at first, but it's actually been a nice surprise. I plan to buy a full bottle somewhere down the line. It also layers really well with Creed Aventus if anyone wants to try.

As I've sampled more and more fragrances I've come to realize that my taste in smell is much different than what I expected it to be. I thought I would LOVE leather smells but, excluding a few where the leather is very much a background element and not the forefront of the scent, I have hated basically every single one. HOWEVER, this is definitely one of the better ones. Its a little too bitter and dry for the first hour or so, but after that it transitions into a very nice and smooth leather that I cannot help but like a little.

Smooth leather with just enough florals to keep it from being harsh — the jasmine keeps it from tipping into pure smoke and cardamom. This has become my go-to for evenings here in Europe once the weather turns crisp, and I get compliments every single time I wear it. Picked up my decant from Fragnatium before committing to a full bottle, and it's exactly what convinced me this one's a keeper.

man this was the frgarance that got me into colognes this was one of the very first, i had a bottle in 2020, i loved it it was the fav perfume and the most complimented till this date with girls, now 2026 i decided to buy it again i went for the 150ml, i had smelled parfum and for me it smelled exactly like what edp smelled in 2020 i still blind bought the edp anyway and i was extremely saddend, it smelled like the most feminine leather scent, the leather doesnt last long and is like a top note workin same as how gucci guilty absolu did, but the worst part is the extreme muguet scent, it was never this much and felt balanced now i feel the lilly of the valley notes so much that it feels extremely feminine

i might be getting this for my dad for his birthday a leather that is really mass-appealing and no way your not gonna like it i would wear this but it doesnt really fit young me

Bold, mature, sensual, mysterious. Definitely my favourite Tom Ford, varies from my other favourite leather (ADP colonia leather) with a sweeter accord from the jasmine. It's so powerful at first and dries down in a very long lasting amber, which you will get pleasant hits of from a jacket days later. One of my favourites.

This is one of the best designer fragrance for winters, dont believe in anything else.

cardamom in the opening is a nice note. after that its just leather but high quality leather. sambac is not noticeable. overall best for adults and winter. but for the price its 50/50.

I smelled this on a handsome friend of mine recently. It reminded me of some fragrance from the 80s, but for the life of me I cant remember which one! Any clues?! 😉

...I got sent this as a free gift with some other samples I ordered. And let's just say, this is a transportive scent. Someone I knew very well and don't anymore wears this as their signature scent, and every time I smell it it almost slaps me in the face with how instantly I'm reminded of this person. Like, when I'm at a bar and someone walks by wearing Ombre Leather, it takes all of me not to get swept away into memories. Not in a bad way, but in an intense way. This is a very very sexy fragrance, though I'm not sure just anyone could pull it off.

I tell everyone this smells like sex on a leather couch (believe me, I'd know)! Its definitely an intimate fragrance people can only smell when they're really close to you but that is the point...I mostly wear it to dates and if the date goes well and we take it to the bedroom I always get compliments. I like it but it's a special occasion smell, not for everyday wear

This was my first Tom Ford fragrance and the first fragrance that i bought myself in many many years and is one of my fiancé's favourites The beginning of Ombre Leather smells EXACTLY like a brand new leather jacket or a brand new pair of leather shoes. It's super masculine and cozy, But it dries down into something a little different, for me after 2 hours i start to smell the jasmine and patchouli a little more but the leather note is still there. Also, this fragrance has fantastic performance. I get a good 9-11 hours of this one. I feel that this fragrance isn't suited to a hot climate though, so seeing as i live in Malaysia, this fragrance is normally reserved for night time only

I’ve been on the hunt for perfumes that smell like a well loved handbag. This hits the mark amazingly. I’ve been blending it with Stash but it is beautiful on its own. There is a sweetness but not cloyingly so. I actually prefer this for summer - it’s clean enough to pull off!

Opening is very bad, but dry down after 20 min is phenomenal, very mature sweet, leathery scent (not confectionary sweet).

I bought this AFTER owning Tuscan Leather, i went back to the shop to ask them if they were sure this is Ombre leather 😅😅 on my skin ot was 100% identical like Tuscan

I literally stopped a woman cause she smelt gorgeous, reminded me of a clean perfume like Lanvin Eclat d'Arpege - I am shocked it is Ombre Leather! She smelt so effortless, clean and put together ❤️

Classic old school car leather done to perfection. Definitely for the real men out there, boys step aside, this smells like something a greaser or one of The Outsiders guys would wear. Strong and long lasting, downside is the atomizer like every other Tom Ford.

I get strong, sweet leather with some amber in the dry down…it’s not very animalic or raw, but more like a small leather carry, like a wallet or purse. With that said, I do not think this scent is totally masculine, and a woman can easily pull this off if they wanted to. I like to wear this at night when my only plans are to hit the bars with friends. I get complements when I wear it. It lasts maybe 7 or so hours before it mellows into a skin scent, and it projects a little more than an arms length. I bought my 50ml bottle for around $85, so there are definitely deals out there on this one. 7.9/10

Smelt this on my boyfriend, you know how it goes. This will definitely get you LAIDDDDDDDDDD.

The opening is a strong synthetic leather. After 10 minutes it transforms into a floral with leather/wood as base. It smells amazing but you need to be careful because it can become cloying easily. Do not use it on warm weather and/or day, otherwise you will give people headaches. I love the smell and this is for mature men.

Obre Leather is one of the my favorite leather fragrance. I liked the balance of between animalic and leather note, they got the sweet spot. Tuscan Leather is more artistic but Ombre Leather more wearable. I can say more things about that. If you love the leather scent Ombre Leather is a good for beginning

Very nice spicy leather scent, it is a simple formula, pretty linear scent, not a big projection but very good longevity. Taking the leather out of consideration, I don't find it particulary animalic. Not versatile at all, like most leather scents, the leather si very strong, suitable fir cool/cold nights, wearing a leather/suede jacket. Don't wear it in church like somebody I know do, it is a sin :). Take it into consideration, it is a masculine fragrance and not all men could pull this off in my opinion.
