White Suede

finally a Tom Ford fragrance I like & don't find repulsive. it's giving classy lady who gets everything in order. you'll need to re-spray throughout the day since it doesn't last long or project much. outrageous price point as usual.

The thyme opening smells exactly like when you pinch thyme leaves and smell the oils on your fingers, which is nice when cooking, but a bit too astringent for a perfume opening imo. It doesn’t last long, though, and then the Lily of the valley takes the spotlight while the base notes make it a very warm fragrance. I’m a lover of white florals so this is absolutely lovely to my nose. I kept getting whiffs throughout the day and I loved it more and more. Nose is Harry Frémont, btw

I didnt smell suede or rose on me at all. Only clean white musk. Disappointing if you wanted to smell leather and other richness. I was hoping this will become my feminine executive perfume - for the meetings etc. It still can be. but i wanted touch of suede.

perfect skin scent.

This is not what I expected! I was expecting something far more masculine. I think elegant is a good descriptor of this perfume; it smells expensive and mature. I got sort of a lemon-y, floral musk more than suede, which is interesting. This is giving intimidating, powerful woman with lots of money and her hair in a French twist. Probably wearing lots of diamonds.

It's good, I personally prefer Animalique from Byredo as my Suede scent

such a pretty n cozy fall transitional scent!! smells clean lik ur freshly showered using a powdery soap bar yet cozy lik ur snuggling in ur well worn blankets with ur body scent. i love to spray this one on a scarf in the fall cos it's so comforting.

I have 3 bottles of this on rotation! (2 are the older brown bottles - one is the white bottle which is newer) . Waiting for it to get a bit stronger OR to have that "ashy" note come out. I love this perfume and my nose has adjusted to the original vibe I got 10 years ago - which was ashtrays in a beauty salon with hair cooking under dryers. I miss that . But I still love this . Do not count on this being around forever as new TOM FORD fragrances keep coming out on a weekly basis !

“Pros” section describes this fragrance incredibly well. Classy, but also casual, elegant, but also minimalist. Lovely musky scent, but like almost all the other Tom Ford private line perfumes, it’s not worth the price because of the mid asf performance.

Its kinda just ok TBH I like it but I like it more when I need something to be a twist on another perfume. Im currently pairing it with Zimaya Peach Please I wanted to give it a series spin to dry down to a peach skin musk. 2 sprays peach 1 spray white suede is a good layer peach,suede then peach.

This is a simple scent being that it doesn't smell super complex, but definitely unique with how legitimately it actually smells like suede or leather. Very wearable but leans more masculine.

UPDATE: So I have no idea what happened with this fragrance. My first time reaction in Sephora about 5 years ago was shock & hilarity. I thought this was a TOM FORD in-house joke. What White Suede smelled like to me (then) was cooking hair under dryers - freshly sprayed with Final Net in a 1973 hair salon in Hollywood. As the hair baked - all the ladies sat and smoked Tarryton 100s or Kent Golden Lights 100s cigarettes (in the history of cigarettes - MEN never smoked 100s ) ; as the ashtrays filled up in the salon. I was amused in a freakish way but had zero interest in actually OWNING White Suede . At some point - I found myself "visiting" White Suede on my weekly mall trips - much like how the wife of a prisoner visits her husband in jail. White Suede was winning me over with trashy delight and I finally bought a bottle . After living in sin with it - something became familiar and enchanting . White Suede started turning into a kitten resting on top of a fur coat draped across the all white fancy guest bedroom ! So I did something really wacky-wacka ; I went and bout the OLDER version in the BROWN bottle from ebay. I was thinking , maybe, the "trashy ashy" White Suede was still inside . Nope. Smells exactly the same as the newer bottles . I'm at the very least - happy to have 2 bottles of this now. My gut is telling me this is going to be discontinued as White Patchouli was axed a few years ago. GRADE: A (but you have to like sweet , lightly musky kitten fur).

I really try to love this perfume. I WANT to love it. I purchased a decant last year as a blind buy and my initial reaction was pleased at the nostalgic, warm powdery smell - but as soon as I applied it to my skin the only thing I could smell was corn chips! Like salty, stale Fritos. I was so sad because I wanted to just bury my nose in my wrists. I couldn’t get passed the salty skin/corn chip smell. Fast forward to today and I just dug it out of the closet as I’ve been seriously craving musks lately. Well, sadly I still get Fritos, but it’s not so jarring to me now. I also sense clean soapy powder, warm salty skin, and a slight herbal-floral note wafting in the background. I suppose the leathery nuances contribute overall to the smoothness of this fragrance, as it’s not a prominent note for me nor is it a leather like experienced in Ombré Leather (straight up oiled down leather seats or something cowboy-esque). A warm, powdery, savory and clean skin scent - here’s to hoping I didn’t ruin it for anyone else or that no one finds me to smell like a bag of corn chips 🤞🏽😪

I’m typically not a fan of leather scents as many remind me of a hardware store, but the delicate floral notes and slight musk makes this one surprisingly elegant and pleasant. Definitely runs a bit mature, but in a good way, like a vintage designer bag. After a few hours though I find it fades to a more generic powder, and the projection is pretty mild. Fine for daily wear if your goal is just to smell clean and classy without being obviously perfumed, but I’d grab something else if I wanted to make a statement.

Good-NESS this is beautiful! This was a blind buy for me. Based solely on the notes, I knew I would like it. And honestly, I love it. I get a powdery, white floral, soft, musky, tea opening that slowly dries down with a hint of woody, sweet suede. Not animalic at all, though. It also gives me a hint of Pond's Cold Cream. If you know, you know. The closest thing in my collection that this reminds me of Chanel les Exclusifs 1957, but this musk is sweeter, less aldehydic. But the base is very similar. No regrets! Other than I wish I had bought the big bottle!

Drumroll, it smells like a nice soft suede. Linear, like most TF frags.

The ULTIMATE fresh out of iron white clothes aroma after spraying a good dose of Merito. this is a white musk to the core all other notes are there to create some nuances , you barely get the suede/leather note. Nice and clean. Sheers

Beast mode is very far from my style, but even for me the sillage of this fragrance is weak. Otherwise it would be wonderfully beautiful, feminine, gorgeous suede leather scent. But Animalique is stronger in this category and overall I find that a better choice for the same price.

This is a powdery white musk with the ombre leather profile. A white TF leather jacket with suede details for texture. Posh and easy to wear.

I’ve always associated this perfume with duty-free shops. I sprayed it on my hand before a trip and was amazed by how long it lasted! Honestly, the leather in it is pure and clean not that dirty kind of leather. It smells classy and elegant.🤍

Nylon bag... This is literally a nylon bag scent! i get musk, lily of the valley, and powder.

This genuinely smells like suede, think of the scent of a brand new suede jacket in a store, it is spot on. I believe it to be unisex, and easy to wear. I believe this fragrance has been discontinued. I wore this a lot in autumn in Croatia, and this scent takes me back there every time I smell it. To me this smells so authentic. I would recommend it.

Whenever I smell, the image of white pops up. As if you could make a color smell.
