This is a beautiful neroli on a delicate, fruity, slightly sweet cushion. Unfortunately, it started fading from my skin already 2 h after application, and after 5 h there was basically nothing left. I have Aqua Allegorias that last longer
I braved trying this, even though I don’t like Néroli, just for it to smell like a fresher version of Glamour by Micallef/Alien by Mugler. It’s nice but not worth the price when the DNA is already out there.
memo: green apple? pear, lemon scented dish cleaner, green mandarin, bergamot sour
Smells just like levant and fleur narcotique. I didn’t realize how similar until I bought it and brought it home and smelled them all side by side. Apparently I like this wheelhouse of fragrance🫠
Totally beautiful, and a much more reserved piece of output from Bisch. Less knockout strength and heft but still a very solid performer to my nose. As approachable as Néroli gets, cushioned by modern musks in a really pleasing dose. A little too expensive of course, but wow it’s really special. A+
This smelled so good in the store but when I bought a decant of it I did not like it at all T_T It could be where I got it from but it made me so sad
Lovely neroli. It's very reminiscent of Petit Matin (MFK).
Quentin Bisch just copy-paste the same scent 4 times and changed them only slightly. If you are choosing between these four airy white floral scents, here is the breakdown: Neroli Amara: Choose this if you want a bright, citrusy, and effervescent scent. More casual and airy, less sweet. Fleur Narcotique: Choose this if you want a slightly more citrus-fruity profile. More elegant and airy. Valaya: Choose this if you prefer a clean, musky, "laundry-fresh" scent. More intimate and slightly more powdery, but still light. (For me a person that doesn't like aldehydes and musk this is still into the fresh white floral category, so the switch is subtile and only in comparison to the other 3 scents) Ciel Magnolia: Choose this if you want something heavier, denser, slightly powdery and slightly more sweet it's somehow similar to Delina, it's like it has also spices, but without the rose. Less airy. (But still not cloying sweet)
I loved this when I tried it from an in-store tester. From my sample, though, the drydown (everything from 15min in) has that stale airport lounge note that ruins so many citrus-neroli perfumes. Really doesn't smell like a high-end perfume to me. Maybe I'm anosmic to parts of it? I much prefer VCA California Reverie, which keeps the fruity brightness going much longer.
It's a green bitter floral with a bit of sunscreeny oiliness. It smells like a vacation, but not in a tropical way. Like a creamy lotion. I think the opening is stunning, but the dry down is not as long lasting and its not as brilliant and sparkling. There is a lot of airiness that reminds me of Valaya and Fleur Narcotique, but its a little more simple and less sweet. I think its beautiful but I could live without it. 8/10
I've had this for about 6-7 years now. It's the one fragrance in my wardrobe that gets everyone (men and women) asking "What is it that you're wearing? I need to get that for myself!". It has an incredible sillage and I would definitely say it's the best neroli scent out there, it has a very comforting vibe to it. Will definitely be getting myself another bottle at some point. I've recently been layering this with Cedrat 37 but it smells amazing by itself regardless.
About a year ago I saw people raving about it on YT, and tried it, and didn't think of it as anything special. An ok citrus, very tea forward (which I don't really like). Today I tried it out on skin and... I think I unfortunately will have to get a full bottle or at least a huge sample. If you have it - if it's raining, put it on your wrist and go outside, and wait for it to mix with the fresh rainy breeze... It's indescribable. Edit. In the drydown smells EXACTLY like Carner "Bo-bo"
I blind bought this based of the notes, reviews and the admiration I have for this brand. And I was not disappointed. This is a soft and fresh solar citrusy fragrance. It opens with a beautiful bergamot and citrus accompanied by the mandarin giving it a juicy nuance, slightly aromatic and spicy due to the cypress and the peppers. Mid through the notes increase and stays solid citrusy aromatic. And in the dry down you get this ethereal neroli accompanied by a beautiful soft musk. The dry down is 💯 Damask by ormonde jayne which is similar to Valaya but softer and without the screechy feel. I think people are confusing between Damask and Levant. I have both and they have some similarities but they are completely different scent profiles. Levant is a sweet juicy floral with the same soft ethereal musk Ormonde Jayne does so well. Damask is the more citrusy musky profile and yes, it's exactly Neroli Amara in the late dry down. This is not a beast mode in terms of projection or sillage but the longevity is great. Projection is moderate on my skin which is a pleasant surprise considering most of Van Cleef perfumes are intimite on my skin. What a gem! My search for THE neroli is now over. At least for a year or two.
a y2k perfume strip from an old issue of vogue: fleeting nostalgic shimmer
Neroli Amara is a bright citrus neroli and orange blossom scent. Well blended. Orange blossom is one of my all time favorite notes. I’ve seen this called the best neroli scent. I’m not sure about that yet. It has a lot of competition.
Smells really nice, gives me an instant headache though.
I heard so much good things about Neroli Amara and they were right! I instantly loved it! Surprisingly the dry down is identical to Maison Matine Shifumi! It’s just doesn’t have the fresh opening of citrus. Since I already have Shifumi, not getting a full bottle.
Extremely dissatisfied by the fact that this needs to macerate!!!! I tested it in store and it was a well rounded sweet + citrusy Néroli with a beige- orange colour juice. I bought it and the newly opened perfume is citrusy Néroli that lacks depth and sweetness and the juice is light yellowish. Smells mostly of fresh citrus. Also, it does not last or project. I gave up on Arabian perfumes because I find the maceration period frustrating and now this. Frankly I am furious! At the moment I am layering it with Sì Nude Bloom to give it depth and sweetness. This has to be an issue with this entire line so, no Orchidee Vanille for me. Have I mentioned how furious I am?
I have so many neroli perfumes, I love the note, but I am always looking for the perfect one. I found it. This is perfect. Not too soapy, not too sharp, not too green. Perfectly rounded, slightly sweet and citrucy, fresh yet flowery. The perfect neroli
In love with this one and California Reverie
The most complimentary perfume ever. It’s the best perfume for spring/summer. I feel bergamot, neroli and orange blossoms. Easy to wear for everyday , and it has some uniqueness. I have a collections (50+) of much more expensive perfumes with interesting pyramids, and compared to them - this one may seem too plain citrus perfume. But it’s not average - it has magic I can’t explain : every time I wear it I receive a hundreds of compliments. I keep the screenshot of it in my phone, cause every time people are asking the perfume I wear . Highly recommend! 100 of 10!
Oh this is good!! Opens with a very lovely citrus and bergamot note and deepens with neroli and such a pretty and realistic orange blossom. I so want this for summer 😭 sadly not in my personal budget. Maybe one day (: -M206
I love it ! Very clean citrus flavour, on my purchase list 🍋 😻🫶
The fragrance opens with a bitter citrus note that initially brings to mind a cheap air freshener. Fortunately, after a short while, orange blossom and neroli come to the forefront, subtly sweetened with a touch of pear. The base is musky, softened by neroli, warm, smooth and soothing. It is a unisex scent, perfect for spring and summer. Longevity is around four hours, with the composition sitting fairly close to the skin.
Love this scent as an everyday, unoffensive perfume. It smells clean, pretty and brightening from the citrus notes. It's sweet from the fruity notes, but also bitter at the same time in a very pleasant way.
Delightful neroli bomb. An everyday citrussy summer scent, not soapy, and it lasts surprinsingly well for what it is.
Smells like straight coconut
I always thought I wasn't a fan of citrus fragrances, but I got a sample of this and it's making me change my mind... I really don't like sharp citrus notes, but this one feels smooth and gentle. I love the scent of orange blossoms, so I decided to try this. When I first wore it, it was the first time I got a compliment on my perfume from a stranger. So there's that! (Granted, I haven't been into wearing perfume for very long, but still, it felt like a moment) It might not be exactly what I was looking for in terms of an orange blossom scent, but it's a pleasant, sunny, delicate fresh floral. The downside for me is that after a while it starts smelling a little too perfume-y, with a synthetic musk feel to it.
A softer and slightly creamy version of Tom Ford Neroli Portofino and LVs Sun Song. I guess it lands in between those and YSLs Saharienne. Lovely perfume with solid performance for a freshie.
I really love it for summer. It smells so beautiful on my skin and lasts whole day and then some.
