While this is fairly linear on me, the opening is slightly more fruity / bright. There is almost a fizziness to it - perhaps the guava adds that special layer. The dry down, as many others have mentioned, is warm, fruity, and musky. I do not pick up much of the floral notes. I do agree that there is almost a smokiness about it, but not in a cigarette / tobacco way, more in a vampy way. This is a bit of a heavier scent on me (I do not get the softness that other reviewers have noted) and is syrupy throughout. I agree with the review below - this feels like wearing a leather jacket with pink nail polish. It's not preppy or super girly - less like a high school crush and more like a seductive, mysterious siren. It has a dark feminine romantic vibe, so I find the name to be fitting. This has decent longevity and projection. I think it would be possible to overspray at first (it starts off strong), but spraying throughout the day to refresh is not too overpowering. I think this would be a decently safe blind buy, though I do not find it to be generic, so it could be a risk. If you like dark and musky sweet, this would be up your ally!
THIS IS FLORAL, YET AQUATIC, YET MUSKY. IT'S A CLEAN GIRLY FLORAL THAT REMINDS ME OF WEARING A LEATHER JACKET, BUT WITH PINK NAIL POLISH ON MY NAILS
This is definitely a good first perfume choice for a teenager! I used to LOVE it when I first got it at the age of 15, and I still love it now at 26. It's very sweet and musky, but also not too much.
It feels heavy, yet underwhelming. I’m not a fan of musk, so this perfume was never going to work for me. I usually prefer fragrances that are sweet and playful or sensual and sultry. Lovestruck was a gift, so I would never have chosen it for myself. To me, it’s a musky, chalky, and slightly damp scent. Even though I enjoy darker, vampy, and gothic fragrances as well, I just can’t get past the dominant musk. There are subtle hints of sweet and floral notes, just not enough for me, and it has an autumnal, romantic vibe. On my skin, it doesn’t last long and has minimal projection, though it surprisingly lingers all day in my hair. It’s not unbearable, so I wear it occasionally on quieter office days or when running errands, but ultimately, it’s just not for me. 3/10
smells good, but cheap & generic. this wouldn't be a scent i could recognize on someone else
This is definitely a sweet fruity floral musk. It’s unique to my collection, and I do love a kitschy bottle!! I quite enjoy it but it is a very soft fragrance! So, spray away!! It’s pretty affordable now so it’s worth the price nonetheless! I find this a good casual scent for spring and fall. I do wish it was a bit more potent, but it is what it is! I’ll just spray to excess to fully enjoy it!
A soft, lovely scent that gives a feeling like the sea in Bali, soft flowers and guava scents The mild fragrance is resistant to the summer and not suitable for the cold weather.
I got a sample of this years ago and always liked it. It's a musky, sweet perfume that is slightly floral and woody. There is a slight fruitiness in the opening, but that quickly subsides, and you're left with an intoxicating sort of smoky, sweet musk. It's an affordable perfume and mildly synthetic (musk is always a synthetic note in perfumery). I like it and consider it to be a date night appropriate scent. It's not super loud. I think it's a nonchalant, sexy, cool girl scent. She's not even trying, but she's can't help but turn a few heads. An underrated scent for sure.
Starts of fruity and orangy then becomes more of a darker wet/damp smell
This is a very different fruity perfume. This perfume is juicy guava, citrusy, fresh and green. It has a note of green (just a little) and i think it comes from the angelica. You can definitively smell the guava and the mandarin orange. So if you like those notes, then you will probably like this perfume. This perfume has a moderate sillage the firsts hours, then it becomes intimate. It does not last that long. You have to oversprayed it and use it on clothes. I don't get anything musky. This is not a powdery perfume. This is a juicy, zesty green fruity perfume.
Blind bought this for Valentine's day, and I was pleasantly surprised by the scent. I tried it before checking the notes, and assumed it would smell more rosey than it actually does. It's a very cosy, fruity scent, but has a sexy dry-down, making it perfect for v day and dates in general. Obsessed with the bottle design too, absolutely beautiful.
Nice fruity opening, but not much florals, very powdery drydown!, not long lasting but leaving a lovely soft sweet floral skin scent! Good for everyday wear...
Maje sure you get a full size bottle. I have a 3.4oz and it looks way more beautiful than the picture here, which looks ridiculous w that enormous cap. Plus, you'll need it. It's one of my favorites but I use it like a body spray
This scent has sharp notes to it, its more spicy than sweet. It gives me goth princess or dark feminine energy. I cant say I would buy again. I want to find a more sexy/sweet dark feminine scent and less floral than lovestruck. She is very intriguing, and mystique, but i need less sharp, more sexy.
Need to spray this at least 20 times, then you get a lovely scent cloud of fruity guava and white musk. For £10 I paid 100ml I'm happy, would never pay full price.
If I had to use one word to describe this perfume it would be 'meh'. There is just nothing to it. It's so unbelievably weak and watery I could barely smell it. I think weak perfumes may just be Vera Wang's thing as I found Princess to be exactly the same. What I did smell wasn't bad, it's quite sweet and I could pick up the guava note, which smelt ok. But I really had to put my nose to my skin to smell anything, and even then it was just a whisper of a scent that was completely gone within the hour.
For some reason I always come back to this scent. It’s such a cute and lovely fragrance. It smells young and innocent. Think a young girl going on her first ever date. Despite that imagery I don’t think it smells juvenile. It’s so light, fresh, and floral, and I find it works well for almost any daytime occasion. Versatile enough to wear to the office, brunch, running errands, wedding, etc. wouldn’t wear to go to the bar, club, or hot date because this is so light it’d get totally lost.
A beautiful, romantic, sweet, floral, musky, woodsy scent. It’s sweet, but not too sweet with the mixture of fruity and floral notes. The musk and woodsy notes really stand out to me as well as a lovely sweet scent. I do pick up a slightly tropical scent from the guava and mandarin orange, but it’s subtle and works well in this fragrance.I personally love this for the colder months of fall, winter, and early spring. Lovestruck is a wonderful name for this. I get great performance with Lovestruck. The scent lasts all day on me. The projection is nice too, it radiates out a couple/few feet from me.
💲I scored a 2/3 full 1.7oz EDP bottle at Goodwill for $8! I’ve gone through a couple bottles of this in the past, but hadn’t repurchased it in a few years because I consider it pricy for my mainly discount-store-shopping budget. 👃 Mmm, another favorite: I mainly like wearing it in the fall & on date nights. The scent is woody, sweet, & has a hint of a fancy cologne smell. Even peeking at the notes listed here, I cannot get my nose to single any one of those & say that it’s predominant.
I bought this when I was a teenage girl and first building my collection. I actually adored this at that time, I still remember what it smells like. I got mostly a burst of sweet guava and creamy lotus's. What I liked about it is that it was a fruity creamy floral but it wasn't just like every other perfume at that point in time. Everyone seemed to be going with that like Viva La Juicy formulation but this one stuck out. I did actually declutter this however, just simply because I grew out of it. But I would recommend for someone just getting into perfume!
This was a blind buy. I looked up the bottle online and thought it was SO COOL. When I bought it and brought it home, I realised that I actually thought it looked tacky. I think it's an average performer, but sillage could be better. It starts off strong but I feel like 20 minutes it's only detectable if you're invading personal space, and it doesn't linger. It's definitely a daytime fragrance, and it's not heavy enough to be worn through autumn/winter. It's bright and fresh but I do think it dries down very powdery. It reminds me a little of baby powder? I'm not sure if it's just me. Overall, I think the fragrance is okay. I wear it sometimes when I want to shake things up a little, but I don't see myself buying it again once it's finished.
First spray out of the bottle, I am not impress at first, for a blind buy. The alcohol are strong at first. After 30 second, love struck start to evolve to something juicy guava, mild mandarin and sweet plump scents. Lotus is layer underneath the top note and lotus tune down the sweetness. You can smell something unique, should be angelica play a big roles to brighten the perfume. The sweetness in this gem is wonderful and comfortable. I do not have something like this in my collection. Especially a Guava, angelica, lotus, tuberose perfume. I'm not a fan of fruity flora fragrance and find hard to fell in love, this is fruity rather than a flora to me. The longevity and projectivity is moderate. The scent is definitely unique to me. Easy to wear perfume. I love it.
On me this is an aquatic floral scent. It’s very light to wear and is a great feminine scent without being too overpowering. Would be good for day time wear when you want a little something but don’t want to knock people off their socks. It does not find that it lasts very long which could be an issue for some people.
Powdery Floral with some candy vibes in there. Beautiful! Absolutely love it. On my skin, it does smell a bit synthetic but it's gorgeous when it's sprayed on clothes
I was surprised by how much I liked this fragrance and at how long lasting its turned out to be, perhaps that's because I wasn't expecting much as VW fragrances I got my nose on in the past were lacklustre low performers to me. This scent is definitely an excellent spring/ summer pick- the guava and lotus opening is fresh and gorgeous, and when the tuberose note set in... I was sold on it. I'm surprised peony wasn't listed as a heart note, I'm definitely getting a pink floral note. The dry down is pretty non-descript- musk, woods and pink florals. If summer wasn't already over, I'd have put this on my 'think about it' fragrance list.
This is a super-sweet, girly floral perfume that reminds me of Parma Violet sweeties/candies! I was gifted this and have overlooked it for ages, but today I'm in the mood. It reminds me somewhat in its "girly pink-ness" of something like YSL Paris, but lighter and less 80s. It still has a distinctly vintage-y/old fashioned feel however. Notes-wise, it's hard to pick much out from the wall of "sweet pink flowery" - the Guava seems to be what's giving this the sparkly almost overpowering, juicy sweetness - and I seem to be getting a bit of elegant, watery lotus from time which does lighten it up a bit. This is nice but unremarkable; too sweet for work imo, probably the kind of thing I'd pick to pair with a floral dress to wear as a wedding guest at a summer wedding.
This is a nice, inoffensive fragrance that’s alright for its low price point. Smells quite generic, but not unpleasant - if you love Cheirosa 40 but find that the longevity isn’t enough for you, layer the two as Lovestruck smells almost identical and lasts longer.
This is a waterdown version of fantasy og. Sillage and longevity is very weak. Bottle is nice but the writing looks cheap.
this perfume smells like the sour & less sweet version of cheirosa '40 by sol de janeiro
This is a very understated perfume it’s lovely and the price point is excellent it’s very girly and floaty and the floral notes are not over powering it’s a daytime and evening fragrance that fits well with any occasion it reminds me of first love and innocence my only complaint is that it doesn’t last long about 1 hour if your lucky if it lasted longer I’m sure it would be more popular
