Bright Crystal Absolu

Received from a monthly subscription: Remember those La Esacada scents from the early 2000’s? This reminds me of those. Very juvenile, uninspired, smells like “fancy hairspray”. And no dry down notes to look forward to.

Really love this. The original Bright Crystal is more citrus-forward and sparkly, whereas the Absolu is stronger, deeper, juicier, and yes, longer-lasting.

If you liked the EDT version, you'll probably like this too. Its a very similar fresh, clean, soft, super feminine floral. I did get a little more of the fruity notes from this in. Unfortunately, while performance was better than the EDT, it still wasn't great on me. It lasted a little longer, but sillage still wasn't there. This is an inoffensive generally mass appealing office safe fragrance. This doesn't fill a room, but someone up close will smell it. If this is your vibe, you'll be happy. If, like me, you're not a floral girly, this is a skip. I would still decant this to reapply throughout the day since it still had pretty poor performance on my, but not a must like it's EDT version.

So, I love the Versace Crystal/Diamond line for several reasons. The fragrances are all great. My favorite is the dark and spicy Crystal Noir; such a sexy scent. I also love the Yellow Diamond; clean, bright, happy, and unoffensive. Great for daytimes at the office. Both of those have great longevity on my skin. And I love the smell of the original Bright Crystal, but that one doesn't last hardly at all on my skin. The Bright Crystal Absolu does. This is such a classic, clean-girl aesthetic scent. You smell the dominant floral peony and lotus, with a current of sweet yuzu frolicking in the background. But what is most interesting, and more pronounced in the Absolu vs the original, are these water/ice notes. It smells...icy. I don't know how else to describe it! There's this watery/icy quality to it that lends it its fresh feel and keeps it from being too sweet, floral, or fruity. That water note is the cohesiveness that binds this scent together. And the best part about the Versace Crystal/Diamond scents are their overall affordability compared to a lot of other designer fragrances. That makes it accessible to folks in all walks of life and I just love that. This one is a go-to for me when I'm looking for that clean-girl, high-end haircare kinda vibey smell.

the fragrance is almost identical to its non-absolu bright crystal sisters, except this one does actually last 5-6 hours. I like all 3 scents, but the EDT and parfum do not really last. Otherwise, a nice youthful fairy-like fragrance. In moderation I can see it in a professional setting and on more mature women too.

It smells clean + flowers, i can say. Beautiful and not risky, good for summer and spring. I got bored over time, but still like it and use sometimes.

Almost four months on and I still can barely smell anything. A strange chemical nothingness. Starting to wonder if I got a counterfeit…

I thought I would like this perfume, but it really smells like shaving foam

The raspberry is what I notice the first, which reminds me of swedish fish gummies without the powdery smell. Its definitely fresh and has a water note. I think its gently citrusy which is probably the yuzu, I wouldn't call it fruity. I haven't smelled anything like it before, the notes are perfectly balanced.

This was my wedding fragrance, but sadly, after several years, I gave it away. Perhaps after my body chemistry changed or the perfume did, or maybe I just grew up and lost my youthfulness. I remembered it being optimistic, positive, feminine, and confident. It was such a lovely mix of fresh water, fruity florals, crisp citrus, and rich musk and amber that I fell for. It felt like a scent that says, “the world is your oyster, you can do anything, go anywhere.” For some reason, as I got older, and especially after I became a mother, I couldn’t stand this fragrance on me anymore. Maybe I became more serious, grounded, and responsible. While I thoroughly enjoyed the period of time where I could wear this perfume, it seems like I’ve entered into a new chapter of my life where it no longer feels right for me. Curiously- Jo Malone Nectarine Blossom and Honey is a similarly fruity and sweet fragrance that successfully bridged the chapters of my carefree student days through to my chapter of motherhood. I have worn it for 10 years and it still feels relevant to who I am.

Layer this perfume with Victoria's Secret Heavenly Mist and see the magic! The amount of compliments I have received cant even be matched. Not just ladies but even men used to come and ask what was I wearing

Can definitely tell this is by Alberto Morillas. Smells like Daisy on steroids. I don’t get fresh or shower gel like others. I get a fuzzy-feeling smell. Exactly like I get with Daisy but this is much more prominent. I like it a lot. Nice break from warm fragrances although I could see the fuzzy element working in cooler weather. I can’t pick out individual notes, just a nice “smell” overall. I can’t even think of what this reminds me of or what it smells like. Smells like itself.

The vaguest whiff of hand sanitizer and dookie

Exactly as promised: a stronger version of the original. It did last longer on me than the 45 minutes I got with that one. Next, on to the Parfum...

Hints of the slightest sour, sweaty smell at first. Then, the inside of a store like aerie at the mall. A good perfume for attempting to emulate the ‘teen girl body spray’ scent

Feminine and fresh, but not particularly special. I got a sample and I’ve been wearing it for my receptionist job on days where I wear makeup. I probably won’t buy it again, but for now I am enjoying it. Typing about it is making me want to smell it, but it’s still in my desk drawer.

yeah, it smells good, but smells the same as a scent you’d pick up to try at rue 21. it’s a good quality fresh floral but isn’t something that stands out in a crowd.

A lovely blend of fruity florals, although very similar to the original but with bit more intensity! Also reminds me of a Victoria secret one, like Bombshell! I like the magnolia and raspberry combination, quite heavenly...

That’s a very good improvement to original, it’s like the intense version, exactly as promised. For me, original Bright Crystal was nice, but a bit too faint, simple and with minimal projection and longevity. Absolu version has a very good parameters on my skin, few hours easily (with good sillage), and let’s not forget it’s a fresh type of fragrance, so it doesn’t happen often. Well done! As for the notes - on my skin, peony and icy notes are definitely stronger, more prominent. I also like how citruses are mixed with raspberry. It’s a refreshing, youthful and girly perfume ideal for hot summer.

All I have to say is wow I did not think I liked Versace till I tried this. I got this in a Sephora sampler set for Christmas and out of all the perfumes in there this one had the best longevity and just smells clean and fresh and girly in all right ways. I just love it. It has a sparkling note in it somehow almost kind of boozy but not quite this stuff last forever too and I don’t mean like it’s strong. It’ll give you a headache. It lasts on your weeks after sprayed. I have a hoodie. I wore two weeks ago and I could still smell it on there. It’s just overall beautiful fragrance. This is gonna be a permanent edition in my collection. Because of the icy note that’s in here. I think it’s great for summer or for winter just lovely.

I thought i would hate this but it wears absolutley stunning close to the skin. Perfectly mature and crowd pleasing. That musky woodiness with the bitter pomegranete is just gorgeous. didnt expect to like and wear this as much as i do. It has that generic floral ted baker body mist energy but its a firm and confident rebrand that i honestly really like.

At first it smells like rose not peony and then it turns to lotus with little yuzu and amber

The dry down of this is Bath & Body Works Book Loft! I’m shocked at how musky this is. It smells bright and amazing in the beginning and dry down to musk and woods, I do like it, but I can’t get passed it smelling like Book Loft. Am I the only one that is getting such a heavy mahogany musk from this?

So pretty! This has two great notes that I love, yuzu and amber so it was destined to be a strong like for me!! This is an easy reach, any occasion, any time fragrance!! I can’t imagine anyone would dislike it. It’s not groundbreaking or anything but it is very pretty and a great fragrance to have !

Early one Autumn day, I recognized a crisp spring morning ether- locked, suspended, in a moment of the Fall morning. An eerie sensation, something in the light and smells tricked me for a moment into certainty the world around me was awakening, instead of drifting leaf by leaf into a deep Winter sleep. Suddenly- deep ambers, gourmand vanillas, woody-ouds, be damned!! My scent soul, and nose, were in need of a full floral reset. Bright Crystal Absolu is a true fruity-floral, but throw In some depth. It bears a resemblance to its predecessor, with added red fruit, musky oomph. Absolut is similar to, but better than the original Bright Crystal. I own three from the line- the OG, Yellow Diamond, and this. I have an issue with the original coming across as hairspray-ish to my nose, and much prefer Lancôme’s Miracle if I want that “pretty, fresh, pink floral” scent profile. Yellow Diamond resembles this, as well. With its distinctive mimosa and pear combination, it’s different enough to warrant having both, even though they’re clearly from the same line. Absolu is about a half shade darker/sexier than the other two, still effervescent and fun, with an added allure. Overall, they're of the typical Alberto Morillas fruity-floral style. Slightly interchangeable, but also fresh, pretty, and easy to wear. That morning Spring whispered sweet promises in the chill Autumn air. If Bright Crystal Absolu can resurrect the memory of that special moment, Bravo!!!

Honestly this is the most delicious smelling and freshest raspberry I have smelt so far since Nina Riccis les belles de ricci in the green and pink bottle! A huge improvement from the og Bright Crystal for sure!

To my nose BC Absolu is a female that is Classy, Sophisticated and Elegant but is also down to earth, bubbly, friendly and approachable. For me, it's that one perfume you pick if you have to pick one for life. Love at first sniff. It's clean, fresh, floral, fruity, aquatic, moderately sweet....(kinda like everything rolled into one). It's very refined, well blended and well balanced. It remains consistently good in all stages (from first spray to dry down). You are the only thing you will appreciatively and wonderfully smell when you wear this. It is strong on projection, longevity and sillage and light on a clean, fresh, floral, fruity smell. Clothes go into wash and come out still smelling of this. Both a dumb reach and one you can buy blindly. It smells like an all occassions perfume but I personally like to wear it for weddings and festivities (as an evening perfume). If I have to use just two word to describe this smell...it's...ABSOLUTELY WHOLESOME!

Never had the original. Wore this way back when, and now it brings back all the sweet memories of reapplying this in front of the bathroom mirror. It's an icy cold sweetness, you could almost taste it. Definitely not cloying, learns more to the mature side. If I had to characterize this--she's soft spoken yet firm, doesn't play about, and stays in her own lane. Not every guy turns around because of her, but she's more than happy with that outcome
