Tbh I loved eros edt it was such a perfect scent for my tastes however this was recommended as a better more "mature" option if you are indecisive I'd say go for the edt over this I'll list my reasons At its core Versace eros is mint, apple, citrus, and vanilla the rest of the notes are faintly woven into the background playing support mostly in the drydown eros edt the original perfectly balances them together with pretty much equal representation leading to a fresh burst of energetic sweet fresh smells in the beginning with an undertone of an infused sweet vanilla thanks to the vanilla and tonka bean(fancy sweet woody vanilla) However edp comes in and essentially says no those fresh sweet top notes are for kids that sweet refreshing ice breaker mint/apple/citrus is now cut in half and in the background of vanilla and this to me just smells so unbalanced in comparison it's like the vanilla is clashing with the fragrance rather then blending in it just battles and dominates all the top notes combined about 60% vanilla smell to 40% of your top notes and it just doesn't feel right in edt the vanilla had a reasonable 25-30% representation but here the vanilla is too heavy to rich and tbh while I love vanilla out of the 4 core smells in eros vanilla was the least favorite out of them at least in the opening to give credit the drydown in both is the exact same it's a vanilla heavy with light woods scent and it's a great drydown it really is even in the edp once the vanilla stops screaming and the other notes are already gone anyways I do like the vanilla then but edp just absolutely takes it's opening and imo ruined it's perfect balance

It just works. Can't really say more. An essential in the fragrance arsenal. It does a little bit of everything and yet it doesn't have many contemporary peers.

Compared to Eros EDT this one takes out the heavy sweetness present in the original drydown and replaces it with sweet woods like sandalwood with vanilla but not nearly as sweet as the EDT so it might sound chicheic but i'd wear this one in the summer easily while the EDT is very pleasant in the fall/winter and spring. The EDP is also lifted by sage and ambroxan so it gives off a more aquatic/seaside opening which actually lasts for longer while the EDT is sharper in the opening with this identical sexiness but dries down much quicker into its drydown which consists in mostly vanilla which could get cloying in high heat whereas the EDP do not.

Eros, Eau de Parfum, by Versace, smells like mint oil and vanilla. A typical Le Male category fragrance.

Opening is extremely similar to EDT. The leather note is stronger than I expected in the dry down, definitely not overwhelming but detectable and it adds a bit of depth to it. It's a note that I enjoy smelling on other people more than on myself, so I prefer the EDT (more fresh, zingy) and the Parfum (more amber-y), but if you like a bit of leather then this is the one to keep in mind.

I thought about this fragrance at least twice a week since I first sampled and reviewed it months ago. Honestly the main thing holding me back was its contemporary connotations, but I said fuck it and I finally snagged a bottle like a couple weeks ago. Oh yeah, best frag purchase of my life so far and my new signature scent I DONT EVEN CARE Someone once compared the sillage of this fragrance to a puff of icing sugar + Axe/"locker-room musk" and I agree... to me it's like a shaving cream and metal-sugar type beat, with an accord that reminds me of mens deodorant (think the Nivea men silver protect roll-on!)... Cooling/fresh and a little metallic but still with some density and sweetness to it. A freshie with some actual weight and power, and sweet without being cloying or really sugary. Smooth too, not powdery. I love it, it's a perf braindead reach (so versatile, all-occassions, not dtm or plain, just nice), I just don't have any complaints whatsoever! I also find it really projects well (hell yeah), and lasts nicely, you definetly don't need to overspray this. I actually find it's easy to overapply lol. This makes the already reasonable price point even better, totally worth the bucks. I'm a woman but this is like my signature scent indefinetly... It's a little masculine sure, but I don't care. (I dress more unisex so that contributes to it... I think girls can totally pull it off but, but probably not hyperfems) TL;DR: Shaving cream with icing sugar mixed in and men's deodorant metallic-ey fresh musk This is also actually my first fragrance to get complimented on; even my mother always notices and asks me what I'm wearing, saying it smells nice and that I smell expensive, and she's a picky judgemental person with hate in her heart and evil in her soul. Hell yeah Versace Eros Update: yeah really gives me a reliable scent bubble with like 1-2 sprays, gosh I notice it and love it, and so will other people!!! Some little kid sniffed the air and then like kept sniffing while inching closer to my legs and sniffing me bro (yes I spray my calves/ankles) it was so fucking funny. Don't do like more than 3 sprays and walk into an elevator on god you'll kill everyone.

My husband's scent. Not gonna lie I get a little jealous when he wears it to hang out with his buddies. Hoping to switch him to something else because its Definitely a bachelor's scent. ;)

This is a great scent. I wear it as a daily signature scent. The price now is by far very affordable very very. It smells good enough to use everyday so I save my more pricier fragrances. At the end of the day it still will whoop alot of fragrances on projection and longevity. I wear to work, errands, and it's my grab and go especially in the heat

Differences I get with edt More Earthy dark Spicy aromatic Powdery tobbaco-ish Less Fresh zingy Bubblegummy

no matter what people say .. this fragrance is great .. it’s elegant , clean and fresh

smells like a minty apple in some way and it is GREAT. You can wear this in any season at anytime of the day. Its a bit sweet but it almost smells aquatic some how. better than the edt fs if u get eros get this one

The EFP smells good and is very long lasting on clothing. I don't usually like mint but with this fragrance I made an exception. I will buy again when my bottle runs out.

Versace Eros EDP is a nice upgrade over the EDT version. It smells fairly similar, but less sweet, slightly less vanilla-heavy, and more refined, with somewhat better performance, but the same nose-blindness issue. Honestly, I can’t say it’s better or worse. For me, they are on the same level, just offering slightly different vibes. The EDT feels like it belongs to a teenager, while this one feels more suited to a college student.

This fragrance smells great. However, it is very sad to see that it lasts only 3 hours, and in the 4th hour, you will only notice it if you bring your nose very near. The sillage that it radiates will last only 2 hours. Of course, it is a fragrance worth reaplying, since it has an amazing smell. It is a versatile, elegant scent worth knowing. Good for work. But keep in mind its weaknesses.

Анонім

Someone in the office wears this as his signature scent and it's quite excellent. It genuinely doesn't smell like a clubbing fragrance off of skin and in the air. The sillage is fresh, clean and masculine. It could really be a one and done fragrance, come to think of it. Same with Versace Pour Homme.

Versace eros edp opens with a crispy minty green apple with a bite of sugary sweetness. It is a welcoming opening from eros, however after 10 mins, the drydown does not continue this vibe. Minty green apple immediately disappears and what remains is the low quality sugary vanilla with a plastic like synthetic feeling. Moreover, since it becames too generic and becomes cloying and basic with time, it mostly cannot attract people anymore. In short, it smells like an overly-sweet syrupy vanilla poured onto a latex. Of course it is not the worst fragnances ever, just lacks uniqueness, quality and sophistication.

Анонім

Pretty good overall. First 2-4 hours was really nice, after that it kinda became a skin scent but it was still there so yeah. Longevity is pretty good, as it lasted 6-8 hours. Its an alright all year round, definitely more lenient into spring but pretty good overall. It's pretty nice for day and night so whatever the occasion or time it is, it's pretty good.

This is like, one of the most "Alright" fragrances I have, and sometimes that's all you need. This is super mass appealing, and good for the heat. This gives me a mix of fresh vanilla. You will not offend anyone with this fragrance. I wear this one to the office, very good for every day wear. It's one of the most popular fragrances for men for a reason, it just smells good. I prefer this over the EDT any day of the week, though.

Анонім

I love it, masculine, clean, sweet and versatile for all seasons. Good longevity and a strong projection, as it meant to have

Анонім

its aight as my first fragrance ive grown out of it its good just i keep smelling new fragrances and getting more in to fragrances and realising theres better stuff but still good tho i have bad memories of this because i was overspraying the living shit out of it cause i thought it was getting bad longevity turns out i went nose blind and at that time i didnt know what nose blindness was and soon went through my 50ml bottle i used to smell this alot in public but now i almost never smell this cause theres eros flame and other first fragrances and many more things now i feel this is outdated

Анонім

Acquired my 1st bottle today. 1st spray was a little bit strong. But when the dry down comes, it was great. Not so sweet. More mature than the EDT. Also, I can't detect the candy apple so much. But maybe it's just my nose that can't pick it up. I tested it on my skin 8hrs ago and I can still smell it. Although skin scent already, but still, it's there.

Анонім

Even though its one of the most popular fragrances ever for some reason I dont smell it in public. Its either that people dont buy it anymore because they dont want to smell like everybody else or I have become nose blind to it. And also not everyone wears perfume so if you are scared of smelling like everybody else or you know people who has this you can buy other summer fragrances or if you like it a lot you can get a sample or a 50ml bottle. And also no it doesnt smell like any cleaning product and it doesnt smell cheap at all. I also dont get a synthetic smell from it. Overall great fragrance.

10/10 Eros Eau de Parfum is an absolute unit of a fragrance. It’s the only fragrance that is versatile enough to validate you right through one midlife crisis and into the next. Where the OG Eros used to scream, “I’m a college kid with enough of mom and dad’s money to get us both drunk tonight,” the new, improved (and more mature) EDP raises one eyebrow and whispers, “I’m looking for a younger woman with an annoying laugh and daddy issues.” Let’s face it. This is weapons grade material, so let’s cut to the chase so nobody gets hurt. Longevity: Four sprays of this will outlast your current marriage and your next one. Sillage: Galactic. Requires measurements in light-years. Closing thoughts: The first time I wore it I got two marriage proposals and a raise. The next time I wore it a lady told me I smell like all of the best things at the state fair and none of the animal poop. After wearing it for a week I noticed my hairline improving and my teeth were 20% whiter. This isn’t a fragrance you should wear to a business meeting but you’ll want to. And you know what? Why shouldn’t you? This is your life. Grab it by the Mediterranean blue/green bottle and live it!

Loved the scent, performance is above average but not extreme. Dry down makes it evolve a lot. Some friends compared it to a "clean toilet", which is slightly concerning.

Usually, you get an EDP because you want more of a fragrance. But this one feels like a stripped down version of the original. Not necessarily in the sense of being worse, but it's minimalist. Upon opening it's similar to the original (and I see that herbal minty note the voters on here described). As you get into the drydown, it becomes different. It turns into a light creamy vanilla-ambroxan base. It's simple, but pleasant. It definitely has a sexy refined "mysterious man" vibe. A vanilla-ambroxan base definitely isn't super unique or re-inventing the wheel. It's been done before. But it's still nice. I'll need some time with this one. It may grow into a scent I love. But right now, I prefer the original EDT version.

They put crack in this, istg. I usually hate how men's fragrances smell so similar and either have notes of tobacco or smell like rubbing alcohol? But this??? Ohhhhhhhh this I really like. This is something that can be taken easily from day to night. It's sexy and approachable at the same time. Kind of like how when a guy has a really nice smile and it disarms you in the best way? It's refreshing with mint and citrus but there's a distinct sweetness. I think the vanilla was so necessary here and what sets this apart from other men's fragrances. I think men's fragrances are generally too afraid to add an element of sweetness to the notes and that's what makes them all smell too sterile. Vanilla with sandalwood will always be a banger, no notes. You can never get that wrong. So seeing it here makes so much sense. My partner wore this and the warmth from his skin only made the fragrance smell more beautiful as the day wore on. He could wear it to meet my parents during the day and I'd still lick it off his skin at night. Sorry for that strong visual.

Versace Eros EDP opens with a fresh minty citrus profile supported by sweet fruits, including a noticeable apple note that gives a slightly syrupy character, with ambroxan already present in the background adding structure beneath the freshness. As it moves into the mid, the fruits fade and the scent shifts into a drier phase where ambroxan becomes more prominent alongside a woody, slightly pencil-shaving character with a subtle peppery edge, before transitioning into a more aromatic phase where powdery sage and mint take focus with woods supporting in the background. Into the drydown, the fragrance settles into an ambroxan-led woody base with lingering minty-sage elements that gradually fade but remain noticeable enough to define the character of the late stages. Overall, the opening was enjoyable with its fresh and sweet balance, but the mint and sage combination in the drydown detracted from the experience, making it less appealing over the full wear. 7/10

Overhyped, overpriced, and smells like a $5 drugstore bottle I’m going to be brutally honest here: I don’t get the hype. I’ve had enough of the fake hype surrounding this fragrance. I own several high-quality scents, so I know what a real perfume should smell like. Versace Eros EDP? It’s a joke. People talk about 'mint' and 'vanilla,' but all I get from this bottle is straight-up alcohol. It smells cheap, synthetic, and honestly, like a $5 drugstore knock-off that someone slapped a Versace logo on. There is zero refinement here. It doesn't smell 'expensive' or 'sexy'—it smells like a chemical mess. The only thing it has going for it is that it lingers, which in this case is a nightmare. Why would I want to smell like a distillery’s floor for hours? Don't fall for the marketing. If you want to smell like cheap ethanol, go buy a bottle of rubbing alcohol for $2; it’ll save you a lot of money and smell exactly the same. This is easily the worst 'luxury' purchase I’ve ever made. Hard pass.

I would put this in the same group as chanel eau extreme, smells very nice and is good value, the opening is great and it's a very versatile scent, there's nothing off putting and an easy reach, I like these kinds of scent, if you just want to smell very nice without offending anyone this is a good choice.
