Versace perfumes specially Pour Homme, I believe are very cost benefit to buy, good price, good performance, nice scents ...

Chanel is my favorite designer house, and Allure Homme Sport is one of my favorite summer scents. Versace Pour Homme gets pretty close in scent and nails the exact same use cases for when to wear it. VPH is more citrusy in the opening, and it smells fantastic. Very balanced, bright, refreshing, and uplifting. The opening is when it's the most different from AHS. At dry down, its much more close. VPH gets a similar musky and creamy tonka smoothness that's very pleasing and comforting, just like AHS. VPH does smell more synthetic throughout the life of it's scent, but that's to be expected considering the price difference between these two...also, synthetics aren't a bad thing anyway as they're in every modern fragrance. Longevity is also slightly shorter on my skin than AHS...I get maybe 5 hours of noticable scent, with decent projection for the first hour. Now, if you put your nose to your skin, you will smell VPH for hours, but it's not noticable otherwise. Overall, this is very good, and I own it because I love the DNA but do not want to run through AHS for mundane tasks like the gym or walking my dog. I save AHS for when I am spending time with others, and will also use it as a work scent. If I didn't own AHS, then VPH would be a daily driver of mine in the summer because it smells great. 8.6/10 - a decent alternative to Allure Homme Sport

Love it. Might be the best daily driver for summer ever made. Yes its a bit synthetic, sort of washing powder vibe, but even if you overspray (which you WILL have to do, since longevity isnt great), it will still smell fresh and clean in the air on a hot summer day. The neroli-rose combo really shines here, cant possibly go wrong with this, dare I say timeless. Get a 200ml bottle on sale and enjoy. 8.5/10

Love this fragrance so much. Great daily driver. As a citrus dominant edt it lacks that projection and longevity of course night it does the job.

This would be very close to a 10/10 summer fragrance if the longevity wasn't piss. Definitely requires some overspraying/macerating, I've worn this in the high heat about 5 times and half my bottle is gone. Not sure whether that's my skin/sweat destroying the fragrance or just poor longevity in general. When it's a bit cooler I still have a similar problem, either that or I go nose blind. People tell me I smell nice though! Great spring/summer signature but would go for something longer lasting in future 7/10

One of the most iconic and clean smelling Pour Hommes of our time. As a designer fragrance, it holds its own against a plethora of other fresh, aquatic fragrances. I've had great longevity with this scent, lasting near 8 hours, which is impressive because this a go-to gym fragrance of mine. Projection is fair, but usually trails off after the first 4 hours. Very mass appeal and has gotten me a few compliments. The notes I notice most are sage, bergamot, and musk. The best part of this cologne has to be its versatility. When wouldn't you want to be crisp and pristine? The only problem you could have this cologne is that it doesn't push the envelope for fragrances and can be compared to other colognes, which could be attributed to its popularity and Dupe Houses wishing to replicate the scent. Longevity: 8/10 - Projection: 7/10 - Overall: 7.5/10

This iconic fragrance has never been, and never will be, replicated by any perfume house. Although it's an older release, it's a versatile scent that won't let you down in any place or occasion; simple, calm, elegant, and captivating. Just got a bottle of this again after years of not having it. Searching for a freshie that works/lasts after trying "Sauvage Very Cool" and going back to the original "Sauvage" and finding it too heavy. I forgot how GREEN this fragrance is up close!! In the air though...it's AMAZING!!! I just have to tell myself not to smell it up close...and I'll be good to go...lol.

Nose Note #1103 Basically Allure Homme Sport, but rough around the edges. And the citrus is not orange, but rather a common lemon-bergamot accord, similarly creamy like in AHS. In the drydown it diverges from AHS more and feels more like a faceless mass market fragrance, but it's not bad. Definately feels cheaper and smells cheaper than Chanel. Longevity is OK for what it is. If you want AHS adjacent DNA, but very strong - the only best option I know is Mancera Cosmic Pepper. 7.3/10

I was wondering what’s so special about this scent ? Baby its the neroli I always used to sense gardenia or jasmine or tuberose in the really background and that’s what makes me like this scent and its the neroli babbby Some perfumers really know how to deal with all diff kinds of flowers and some don’t Alberto morillas proved his skills in the most skillful way Some perfumers make the neroli accord smell green dense and old Some makes neroli smell clean bubbly flowery modern and addictive I love how alberto morillas build he’s floral accords Imagine if it was made by Quentin Bisch… agh gross it will be filled with super ambers and smells very sharp just like every other masculine dna

Must have fragrance especially if you have a small collection. Does everything well and will get you compliments on my second bottle currently to me this smells better than AHS. Not a fan of the aldehydes in AHS it doesn't mesh well with my skin.

To me this scent is a much less complex version of Pacific Rock moss. The notes aren’t all that similar, but they give me a very very similar vibe. I understand that many people would wear this as an every day scent and I think it may be better at that than pacific rocks moss. That being said, I think Versace Dylan blue would be an even better every day scent for a similar price from the same house. If you can only have one cologne than I can understand buying this as both a work / everyday scent as well as using this for summer occasions, but if you have the budget I’d go with pacific rock moss and Dylan blue.

A wonderful composition, summery, marine, with noticeable notes of citrus and bergamot. Worth the price, great for everyday wear.

This initially struck me as more of a marine/ambergris sort of concoction, so I was a bit puzzled, @first, by the analysis given here ... but then I noticed the clary sage, which is probably what explains my initial impression. It's a reliable one with me, that component: if a fragrance has a strong clary sage component I'll probably like it. Similar applies to ambrette musk. I once had a remarkably cheap liquid soap, from a certain mass retailer, with a very prominent clary sage component. I got several bottles of it ... but, unfortunately, it was one of those totally 'one-off' products, & I've never seen it since. But it's nice stuff, alround, this one: I'm liking it more-&-more as my wearing of it on this occasion proceeds & matures.

Just got my first bottle of Pour Homme and I had no idea what I was missing out on. This stuff just simply smells amazing. Doesnt try to do too much. Im glad i have 110 mls of it, thats for sure

I still have two 50ml early-2010s era batch bottles of this. Whenever I test the latest formulation bottles in stores it's actually wild how much the formula has been diluted down compared to my vintage bottles. Post-2020, there was a ban on Lilial (listed as butylphenyl methylpropional on fragrance packaging), a crucial ingredient in this particular fragrance, which I smell quite strongly in my old bottles but is now completely absent in the post-2020 batches. If you can find a vintage bottle with butylphenyl methylpropional (Lilial) listed on the back of the box, grab it. The Lilial gives the opening and mid a beautifully smooth, airy, refreshing, watery, green extra lift to the floral notes. It bridges the sharp, angular citruses of the opening spray with the clean, soapy neroli and musk/tonka backbone. By comparison, the post-2020 versions smell thinner, sharper, and more chemical in the opening. The pre-2020 formulations have this distinct 'plumpness' and floral roundness that makes the blend feel richer. Projection and longevity on my older bottles are also noticeably better, leaving an airy sillage that lasts for much longer. Don't get me wrong, currently bottles still smell like "Versace Pour Homme", but it's missing that green, watery floral airiness now, which helps it radiate in the air, an essential part of the DNA. The new bottles smell much more "flat" to my nose. Most here will never understand what I'm talking about, as it's been six years since the ingredient change, so they've never smelled a "before and after," but this used to be a much better fragrance than what you're currently smelling in stores.

If I could only have just 1 frag for all seasons & situations....VS Pour Homme is my choice with Polo Blue EDT & Gucci Black 2b.....Pound for pound champ when compared to all others...Chanel Allure sport & Missoni Wave get annoying quickly with the vanilla...This is like AQDG. All you need.

Wore this for ten years. The scent itself is incredible, although as with all top-note focused fragrances the performance isn't great unless you do like 5 sprays directly on your clothing. Delicious, otherwise. I never got sick of it. Graduated to The One for Men D&G EDP and it feels like a good next step.

Needed an easy and cheap summer frag, so blind bought this after reading so many positive reviews on here (I know, I know.) Classic blue ala Chanel with a very sharp citrus top and a faint floral base. Sadly, this is another one of those freshies that just develops into wet dog on my skin. Maybe I’m the problem, but I just can’t wear it. The performance is fantastic, however! It’s nearly impossible to wash off, even after several hours of wear.

This is the only fragrance a man needs. Just get this and sail off into the sunset. No more fragrance content, no more discount shopping, no more nonsense. This is a masculine man's man fragrance in the non-performative, uncorrupted sense of what it actually meant to be masculine, once upon a time. No gimmick, no "this one weird trick :^)", etc. This is Daniel Craig's James Bond in the eyes of Vesper Lynd in Casino Royale. "You know James, I just want you to know that if all that was left of you was your smile and your little finger, you'd still be more of a man than anyone I've ever met." This is that fragrance.

I can't believe I wait till I had like 75 bottles till I got this one.... it's incredible!!! 10/10

This is one of my favorites from Versace. A solid 10/10. It's a compliment magnet. It's cheap but smells expensive!

After sampling here and there I finally got a bottle and it didn't take long for this to reach my GOAT list. It's easy to wear, it's fresh it's clean , slightly soapy , airy watery , masculine. It's not a lemon bomb or overly green . It's quite honestly the perfect balance for an everyday freshie. Super versatile. For it being an almost 20 year old fragrance it could have easily been released this year and it would totally fit in with modern fragrances . It smells great. But what made it go over the top for me is that it made me not need a bunch of other everyday fresh fragrances I had. I feel this touched every base I wanted so perfectly that I simply had no need for other similar style fragrances . So it saved me money since I sold 5 other bottles . Performance, it is a little better than what you would expect from similar fragrances . But for the price and it not being annoyingly strong you can over spray the heck out of it . For work I get about 6 hours out of 7 sprays 9.5/10 . Waiting on a sale to get multiple bottles

The opening is highly fresh and uplifting with a bit sharp citrus for 10 minutes. Then it turn into fougere and aquatic fresh florally scent. Longevity is 6 hours with an average sillage. Its highly versatile for all age group, unisex and you can overspray easily as its non offensive and office freindly scent. The subsequent flankers are also nice but this one hits differently ! Rating - 8/10

Versace Pour Homme opens with a sharp citrus accord supported by aromatics, soft florals, and a prominent musk. Right from the start, the musk was the biggest talking point. It carried a sour, slightly funky quality that I found off-putting and it overshadowed much of the citrus freshness. As the fragrance settled, a creamy tonka sweetness emerged in the base and helped smooth some of the rough edges. Through the first couple of hours, the fragrance developed into a citrus-aromatic-musky structure with a lightly sweet and creamy foundation. The overall framework reminded me somewhat of Allure Homme Sport, with bright citrus on top of a musky base. However, the musk never reached the level of refinement I associate with Chanel’s musks, which remained the biggest difference between the two fragrances in my experience. As the wear progressed, the sharpness faded and the fragrance became more pleasant, but the musk remained a constant presence. The citrus, aromatics, and tonka were all detectable, yet the musk continued to dominate my perception of the scent. By the third hour, it had essentially become a straightforward musky citrus fragrance with very little further development. Performance was moderate at around five hours. Overall, I couldn’t get past the musk in this one. While the fragrance eventually became more tolerable than it was in the opening, the underlying musky character never disappeared and continued to detract from the experience. Once the initial roughness subsided, there also wasn’t much else about the fragrance that stood out enough to compensate for that issue. The citrus, aromatics, and creamy tonka were pleasant enough, but none of them were compelling enough to overcome my dislike of the musk accord. Score: 5.5/10

Initial spray is a VERY sharp citrus Dries down to an EXTREMELY basic powdery citrus Nothing special at all This combined with Bleu de Chanel EDP would be the best choice for someone that has still water with plain bread for breakfast Absolutely 0 personality
