Elegant, but you feel that times have moved on. I am actually surprised that this is from 2000 - I think it is like something from the late 80ies. I associate it with roses and lily of the valley added to Sensai the Silk Edt, which is from 2015 but also smells like the 80ies. Rosey musk with a powdery and aquatic feel. Do not gift to someone who you aren’t sure are into vintagey rosey soap and powder scents. This is NOTHING like the musk trend that has been going on in the 2020ies - that kind of clean aestethic is a completely different thing. Like it, though, but will not hunt down another bottle.
A mas appealing floral easy to wear perfume. I love it! I don't get the fruity notes, they just melt together into a sweet note that blends perfectly with all the florals notes. I would layer with a pure musk or a pink musk for a more lasting experience. It's one of those perfumes that lasts the tests of times , it is current even though it was launche3d long ago. If gifted you can rest assured that it will be used and not thrown away
i get woodiness, floral sweetness and a little bit of spice. it’s obviously not the most unique scent but i really like it it reminds me of when i was little and my mom would meet with her friends and i’d be there too. this is exactly what those “mom gatherings” smelled like, so it gives me a bittersweet nostalgia i agree that this could be considered a mature scent, but even though i’m a teen i still love wearing it. it just makes me feel beautiful i can see myself repurchasing this for days when i want something simple but still want to smell good
My teenage scent very young perfume in my opinion, comes off very fresh on my skin
I was on the fence at first because initially I got a light fruitchouli with woody notes like a less fruity og Jimmy Choo. But, as I let it settle I could see why it's lasted the test of time and we're still wearing her 26 years later. Feminine, clean, musky with a little sweetness. Perfect for spring. I can even smell some Dylan Purple (a little Blue too) in the dna as well. Be careful because she grows stronger the longer you were her but she shows up gracefully.
not my favorite but a very clean pink floral, easily layerable.
Basically: it’s giving “sweet… but there’s a whole story behind it” But the base?? That’s where it switches up… musk + amber come in and suddenly it’s not just soft. it’s warm, a little seductive, but still subtle ✨
Okay, Ladies, and daring gentlemen.. hear me out. If you have Perry Ellis for women, 360° Purple, and Versace's Woman edp, please, try them together. Omgoodness do they ever work together well! I'm fresh out of the bath and typically like to be punched in the face with soapy powdery goodness, but tonight, I tried something different. First, I used CK Eternity Now body lotion, only a bit, as I've got a big bottle and I'm trying to use it up layering it with different perfumes.. the amount I used is inconsequential, use whatever lotion you feel pairs well with these ladies as a gentle clean-forward base. These two perfumes are like long lost sisters that get together for a pampering day and giggle as they catch up on family gossip. Bet they would work together so nicely come summer. It's a cold Canadian winter here now and they're just whispering softly under their breath - no doubt the summer sun would make them shine together. Try them together, you will not regret it! Especially straight out of the shower. You could get away with these two at the office too, I bet. They're not loud, not in your face, just clean, soft, feminine and complimentary. They could pass for fancy shower soaps/shampoo if anyone mentions it. ;)
I think it features rose, plums, and woody notes in a nice and pleasant way, can't hate on it, it "makes sense". I think the notes combined do have a bit of a "dated" vibe, so I get the older lady comments. But honestly it's pretty good for it's genre, and it's not too old fashioned where it's unwearable, it's kinda basic if worn today but "nothings wrong with basic" kinda basic lol. I would get this as a nice to have, but wouldn't gift it to someone, at least not by itself I guess?
clean, soft and powdery, no floral notes imo. so worth it ! kinda smells like an old lady at first but once it sets on the skin it is wonderful. wearing concentrated perfumes in the summer is generally a no for me, but i love this one for summer nights out
My mums perfume!!!! The plum and lotus really make this one unique, so feminine but refined and affordable… would recommend to anyone!
Versace Woman smells like getting your hair washed with a rose-scented shampoo, then blow-dried with a round brush, and smoothing the strands with the accompanying styling products. It makes me think of the word "coiffed." It does not give me the impression of a "perfume". If I smelled this out in public, I would think it must have been someone who just left the salon. Bouncy hair with some silicone shine serum. It's an easy reach. Not overpowering, and it only lasts for about 2-3 hours before becoming a skin-scent. Rosy, clean but not sterile, a little bit plasticky in some stages. The lotus gives something borderline aquatic. I've never smelled anything else like this perfume, and I enjoy wearing it. It's really light, so it's nearly impossible to overspray this one.
I get so many compliments on it!! sweet, feminine, not too strong, but not subtle either. I wear it super often, it's amazing.
As a man I like this on a woman. It's a fruity/flowery/powdery scent, not too sweet or overwhelming, just right! Smells well refined and classy and has some lasting power. Good price/value ratio.
A nice soapy rose. Maybe a bit too soapy for these days' perfume trends. But it's cheap and you can probably find it in any tax-free, which is great value. I would say it's nice as a starter perfume, or even as a blind buy gift for a more mature person.
I blind bought it, and looking at price comparisons online, I overpaid by about $10. It’s a nice scent, but a little too sweet for my liking. My daughter loves it thought, so I gifted it to her.
Such a great parfum! So fruity, girly and sweet! If you like to smell like a sweet and fruity rose with a touch of a powdery note this is the one. Instantly makes you feel happy. Yeah it is just like a fun day.
You can find this super cheap where I am and honestly, the bottle design is 2000's perfection, pink and purple and curves with diamantes. I'd place this scent with other 00's like valentino V, givenchy play and red jeans as it's a fruity, woody, powdery concoction that smells 'of the time'. It's also a bit like hot couture without the ash tray. It starts out fresh rose and raspberry gummies, quickly becoming woody and then eventually equal parts powder and shampoo. It's my kind of scent and I have big love for all the 2000's classics which I see a lot of people call 'cheap' when in reality these scent profiles were just very popular and often imitated. A note on longevity - it's not gonna knock anyone out and you won't perceive this all day but given the astonishing price of some 'luxury/niche body mists' I would choose instead to spend £25 on a soft yet reliable scent in a beautiful glass bottle everytime.
I have a new bottle and maybe it needs to macerate but to me I mostly get a green floral fragrance, it specially in the beginning. Up close I can feel the musky sweetness. From time to time I get fruit or rose but to me it is not the dominant note. It does get more sweet and powdery as it dries down. I was surprised this is a fruity rose scent as I though it was just a sweet jasmine scent so to me jasmine leaf is the most prominent note. This does feel like a mature fresh fragrance, one would need confidence to pull this off. Or maybe it just does not work with my chemistry as I mostly smell like leaves - not really what I was going for.
The first time I went to a 'gentleman's club' and received a lap dance, this was the scent that the stripper was wearing. It feels more like an evening scent to me, almost the same way ysl's black opium or vera wangs rock princess does, although I see most people have voted it as a day time scent, much to my surprise. This fragrance feels very sexy and feminine to me. Its certainly on the heavier side and quite musky. A very close male friend of mine disagrees- instead describing it as 'old ladyish' however I must note that he is the type who likes those overly girly, extra sweet perfumes (think those fruity sweet scents aimed at teenagers). My partner (more drawn to florals like Marc Jacob's daisy range) loves this scent and often comments when I wear it (something he rarely does). Definitely a perfume for a 'woman' and not so much a 'girl'.
So so pretty, casual, simple, zen, elegant. I had never heard of it when my friend pulled the bottle out at work so I tested it without any prior knowledge of notes. I thought it smelled very fresh, almost like a green tea type of scent, slightly aquatic, could have sworn there was chamomile in it and dried down to a lovely chamomile white musk soap scent. It felt like noa + KP indi + cerruti to me. Looking at the actual note list I never would have identified rose or raspberries in it!!
Sometimes there is a simple, maybe even forgettable fragrance but you are just drawn to it, you know? That's how I feel about this beauty. So feminine, with just the right amount of woodiness to cut through the popular rose-musk-raspberry combination. And don't get me started on the way it lingers in the hair... M A G N I F I C E N T.
I have been wearing this perfume for years & years now. It’s something I usually reach for in the summer on hot, humid days. As well as cooler, breezy spring to summer ones. When I first wore this perfume in my 20’s, I didn’t really like it. I thought it was boring, too woody and conservative. But one day this scent really clicked for me and I came to appreciate how balanced, uplifting and well blended the perfume is. The raspberry note is most prominent for me but it is never shrill or overbearing. I’m shocked to see many ppl have rated its sillage and longevity as moderate. Because on me I can quite easily get beast mode when oversprayed but even with a few sprays it has wonderful sillage. As for longevity, I can catch whiffs on my skin the following day. This is an underrated, classy beauty. She never tries too hard, she just effortlessly exudes charm & presence. Feminine, not girly. She’s sure within herself and doesn’t need to scream to be heard. She calmly envelopes the wearer in a steadfast scent bubble and leaves a fragrant trail in her wake. A woman that has seen things, carries inner wisdom but is not jaded, she remains upbeat and optimistic. This is one of my favourites to wear in the kind of summer heat that peels most scents off in minutes. Versace Woman is that trusted friend you know is gonna stick around. Somehow humidity enhances her alchemy, lifting raspberry-rose-wood wafts of scent throughout the day. I will say this is not necessarily my favourite scent profile but I keep her in my collection because she is fragrant, pleasant to wear and most of all dependable. Where others fail this and Bright Crystal will not let you down in humid summer heat. Versace Woman also holds sentimentality for me. It’s one of my perfumes, my children remember me wearing when they were younger and I would hug them after school. Gosh..I didn’t realise I would have so much to say about this one 😅. She is classically beautiful imo. You can tell she comes from an era when perfumes were formulated to last, as standard.
Today in the office i had to pass the reception area which is a big area and connects to two big entrance coridors. I entered and thought what a scent, whose perfume is that. It was a soft rosy scent, on my way back again same scent. So i knew it should be from the lady sitting in reception. I approached and asked if she has a rosy perfume, then she picked up versace 😀 not necesary to say one window was open the whole time and she said ,oh i dont smell my perfume at all. The whole corridor smelled like icy rose.it was beautiful the sillage and projection was beaaaaaassssst
It is in my collection for a while and I finally found the time to try it! Sexy. Steamy. Ultra-feminine. Gentle. These are my initial impressions. A scent from the time anything Versace did was memorable. Not to say they are now bad, but not that immediately allocated as something sexy and unique. The notes are not obvious, they build a sexy body-after-steamy-shower scent washed-with-rosy-white-soap. It is a lovely memory-in-a-scent effect. If I concentrate, I feel plums, musk and rose. To a lesser extend raspberry, amber and lotus. After a time the woody notes softened by musk appear and the creation is complete. My bathroom smells like that after steamy bath or evening shower. To have it memorized as a scent is priceless. I am happy I tried it in the evening as this scent is soothing, romantic and relaxing. I think it would also be lovely in the morning to prolong the morning shower feel. It is very feminine and sexy. Typical for Versace's vision of feminity. It reminds me of Kenzo Amour thanks to the steaminess. Quite love it. No wonder it is still in production. It is lovable. 12 hours in and I clearly feel it around me, which is great. It projects nicely but is gentle. It reminds me of Escada Sentiment.
mystical and heavy. i think a man can wear this as well, although there’s a sweet fruity tone that makes it slightly feminine. the bottle i acquired might be a decade old, and this might be making a difference in the scent. i mostly get a fig-like overtone with a dominant sweet musk powering through the general profile. i think it’s inoffensively pleasant. not a revolutionary multi-layered rich perfume but definitely not a classic or overused scent either. if you’re like me and deathly afraid of fitting in, this is a safe option that won’t raise any eyebrows while remaining intriguing. edit: within a few hours, all the interesting layers disappear and you’re left with plain floral musk. i don’t like florals or musk. bit of a disappointment ):
Pretty, energizing for spring. I first tried it a year ago and didn't like it. I have gotten used to the sharp, tart opening, and I can appreciate it now. Juicy. Reminds me of a few other perfumes like Coty Exclamation, Gucci Rush, but with no vanilla, and Paris Balenciaga a bit. Also Miss Boucheron, and yes, it is a bit like Red Jeans--more woody and more complex, with what feels like a vetiver note. Performance is just right for something sweetly engaging. I absolutely love the bottle.
Hello from Deco Dawn. This is the first time I have review Versace Woman edp and it is heavenly! very Italian & chic & smells very expensive. Although an 100ml bottle can be purchased on amazon very cheap. Normal retail prices are upwards of £80. The opening is light, slightly Citrus floral with a real warmth and depth to the heart and the dry down is very sensual, due to the amber & woods. Perfect to wear from day into night. I cannot put an age range on this fragrance as it would suit all age groups. Very feminine & romantic. I purchased a brand new 50ml edp on ebay for £18 normal retail price is £66.00. Launched in 2000 this is a gorgeous Versace fragrance made of quality ingredients. I love it. Highly recommended.
this reminds me of christmas because my mum wore this one christmas and i remember being obsessed with this perfume to the point she got me my own one year. that was about 5 years ago tho but i still think it’s one of my favourites i’ve owned so far. it’s an amazing floral/woody smell that’s timeless. i might have to buy myself another bottle some day it’s that good.
