King of lavender

This is a love hate for me. I'm a recent convert to Xerjoff after years of finding them abhorrent, and this perfume is a paradox for me, because it has what I love and what I hate about the house in one bottle. I hate the bullshit. These perfumes are highly synthetic, with booming amber wood bases and no real discernable oud, which is fine by me, but don't wank on about laotian oud or whatever they're claiming is in here, it's total bollocks. I don't like these screechy synthetic oud bases they use. But, I do find the drydown of Alexandria II very addictive, sort of 50% revolting for it's standard Xerjoff sugar-coated powderpuff flounciness, and 50% compelling for the same reason. Via this house I'm learning I can tolerate sweet perfumes. And look, so what if they're synthetic, some of them are very good, and unique too, not so much this one perhaps if we're talking about unique. I suppose a house with five thousand perfumes must have a few gems somewhere.

This fragrance is amazing. I just blind bought a 100ML bottle 3 days ago, it came in today and first spray oh my this is insanely good. if you like very wood and oud heavy fragrance u will love this its very dark and masculine I see what people mean when they say its a bit feminine I can smell it a bit but the masculinity overpowers the feminine smell I wouldn't recommend blind buying I only blind bought because I love woody oud fragrances

smells like a shitty baby wipe

First, I must mention that I'm confused by other reviewers here, on YouTube, and on TikTok. For me, this definitely is not beast mode, and honestly, not even difficult to wear. Apart from the opening, I think most people will find this scent very pleasant. I don't even understand people who say they wouldn't know when to wear it. Just wear it whenever you want instead of waiting for a special occasion, it's not such a challenging scent that you'll never find a time for it, tbh. This is the first oud perfume in my collection. At the beginning, it can smell a little medicinal, and the oud is kind of strong. After a few minutes, you get a lot of lavender and then a very creamy, complex scent. The oud is always there, but it's very subtle. I can really feel the fragrance evolving as time passes, so it's definitely more complex than average, I feel like I'll always be pleasantly surprised every time I catch a whiff. Again, not a beast mode performer, so if you're after that, you'll be very disappointed. I'd say it's completely the opposite: this is super classy and refined. I get 1–2 hours of medium-to-strong projection, then moderate projection from hours 2–6, and then mostly a skin scent after that for another few hours.

Alexandria II is not a perfume. It is an amazing combination of smells that work perfectly together. The wood and spice and clean lavender smells all go well together. When you first put it on it smells amazing. The apple and lavender smells are fresh and nice. Then the smell of rosewood comes in. It is wrapped in a warm cinnamon smell. It smells really fancy from the start. It does not have that smell that some perfumes have at first. Instead it smells rich and nice away. As the smell changes you can really tell how great it is. The sharp smell goes away. It starts to smell smooth and nice. A rose smell comes in. It is not too strong. It is a smell that leads into the other smells. The base of the perfume is made up of oud and sandalwood. The oud smell is really deep and nice. It is not harsh or annoying. It is supported by an amber smell and a little bit of vanilla. The vanilla smell is warm. It is not too sweet. The perfume lasts a time and it smells great. It is not too strong. It is noticeable. Alexandria II is a great perfume. It is made with ingredients and it smells like it. It is a combination of smells that will not go out of style. Alexandria II is a great perfume. It is one of the perfumes you can buy.

In the drydown, it kind of smells like the Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Disneyland. Someone said clean bathroom, which checks out. Idk, something alluring about this...

Finally got a decant of this. The batch code is 02925W. I have about 5 sprays in my elbow crease. The reasons for the 5 sprays was that from the reviews that I have seen, I was expecting something crazy but its not. I even had to re-check the decant to see if it actually was a decant of Alexandria ll cause most reviews say this is super animalic oud. But its actually pretty chill and wearable. On the first spray, I get the woods and the amber straight away. As it dries down, the lavender and musk show themselves. At this point, i'm getting a Johnson's baby oil or wet wipes kind of smell plus an oldschool fougere powdery kind of smell. Something like Bois Du Portugal or Brut. Not getting anything super animalic but it is pretty musky and also gives me a smoky vibe too. If anything it kinda smells clean and classy. Like a classy gent who has just shaved, put on after shave and walked out in a suit. Performance wise, its not beast mode on me but I am getting a decently strong projection with really good longevity. As for who can wear this, i'd say anyone cause you've got the woody notes and the powdery notes which make it pretty wearable. Definitely smells like a cold weather or fall scent profile. Overall, I am definitely surprised by this perfume. To me, its an easy to wear scent profile but there are also many reviews that say its hard to wear so this is a good reminder that although reviews give you an idea of the scent, its always best to get a decant and try it yourself to see whether you like it or not. Definitely try this one if you like woody and powdery scent profiles.

I love this! Smooth rose and woods. So far this is the only fragrance I've tried that doesn't overwhelm me during mealtimes -- usually I end up smelling the food with the fragrance and it kind of grosses me out, but this smells so smooth and woody that it doesn't bother me at all. I would love to find a lighter cousin to this fragrance because this is definitely a colder weather/datenight smell to me.

I sampled it in a store, one spray on my arm, and immediately hated it. The smell can only be described as extremely strong, screechy rubbing alcohol. And yes, it is eternal: no amount of scrubbing, with water, soap, or makeup remover could tone down the massive aura. I had to desperately look for tips online, and thankfully rubbing vegetable oil on the area put me out of my misery. I will be steering way clear of anything similar, and would strongly recommend sampling carefully before spending that amount of money.

Didn't work for me. It is surely complex and have special notes. It is not something that smell like something else. The main note did not work for me. It reminds me of something Musty or expired.

On first spray, it instantly reminded me of Prada Luna Rossa Black, and when smelled up close, I also got shades of the original Prada Luna Rossa. The powdery iris and lavender are what stand out most, while the oud and rose take a backseat. It's very dry and powdery throughout, which makes it a tough everyday reach unless the weather is cool. Performance is great, but I'd be perfectly happy sticking with a sample or decant rather than owning a full bottle.

Absolute scrubber.

Not one of favorite Xerjoffs. All the ingredients seem to be wearing a face-mask where the notes are muted. Smells like a light oud and coffee fragrance. Needs more than five sprays to be effective. I blind-bought this and wish I didn't. Its not all that bad though. Its more of a cold weather fragrance.

This fragrance is very powerful and deep with a slight medicinal opening with sweet Smokey oud with a hint of rose and fruit exotic and alluring silage that announces your presence like the pharaoh!! Himself I love this one stays on clothing over 24 hours 9.5/10

smells like the mens bathroom at the airport, nobody took a shit yet so it smells like the cleaning chemicals, it smells like the urinal section with the de-odorizer pad that goes in the urinal

The powdery aura is absolutely stunning.

Summary: Class in a bottle. Id buy over and over again.

I can't say I understand oud fragrances very well but I find many of them comforting, this one included. I'm wearing it to bed as it's too masculine for my preferences when around others. The light powderiness disperses the weight of the resin, which feels really well done.

Alexandria II smells middle eastern, old and dusty. Which to be fair is probably exactly how the library of Alexandria smelled but that doesn't mean I want to wear it

🚨The new batches are a huge disappointment. The longevity and projection are really poor. They've completely ruined an otherwise beautiful fragrance. 🚨

Just came back to my 50ml after a while. I never buy any xerjoff more than 50ml. Their lines tend to disappoint me after wearing them for some time. The same thing is happening to Alexandria II. I like it at first but now I find it suffocating and lacking an element to ground it down.

Refined and elegant. My favourite oud scent.

I tried this before buying, loved it, but the price everywhere and the amount of fake bottles was so overwhelming until I found an authentic full 100ml bottle for 130$. Needless to say, it was worth every penny, and if you can find a real bottle at a deep discount, pull the trigger even if you've never smelled it. You'll always be able to sell it later.

Veeeery very good! Blind buy it and Im verry happy with this! I Will use it it only for very special occasions. Smells veeery expensive and on my skin 2 sprays on fore arm lasted 24 hours. Very good. But I like Terroni more than that in my collection.

Wanted this for a while now but the high price tag put me off. Managed to bag a brand new bottle for £170. Blind buy win & Instantly a love. Smells extremely classy and alluring. Not challenging at all. If I was to smell this on someone I’d have to comment on how good they smell which is something I’d rarely do. Some will say it’s situational, I say fuck it. Wear what you want, when you want. Just please don’t overspray these type of scents. Keep it classy 👌🏻 Xerjoff never let me down. I’d say they are the best niche house out there. The scents are fantastic and actually last all day. The bottles look classy and the presentation just oozes quality. I never feel like I’ve been ripped off by them either. Strictly 30+ Not for boys or girls. Scent is subjective but I’d hazard a guess that most of the poor feedback on this is from those with underdeveloped noses and those who are sticking their wrist into their noses. Spray it on your pulse points (no more than 4) and let the scent disperse around you. Then let it develop over the day. Magical ✨ Masterpiece.

Starts off like body odor, transitions to damp vinyl pool toys and musk.

Ljudi oko vas ga osecaju i brutalan je, a vama ce zatvorit nos nazalost.. Na 25 stepeni sam ga nosio i vise se tad oseca ruza ali svakako je parfemcina, 12/10 cist kokain cista zavisnost i kvalitet sto je veoma retko, ni prejak ni slab, tacno onako kako treba parfem da mirise. Probao sam neke slicne parfeme ali ni blizu ovome

Bought a sample size and to me i personally don’t think i’d enjoy this. The opening smells too much like wood and the dry down just resembles flowers to me. I can’t smell anything else but flowers and musk. It last quite a while but for its price i don’t think it’s worth it. Not at all blind buy safe definitely sample this. I don’t enjoy this at all it leans too unisex for me.
