Libre L'Absolu Platine

Obsessed from first sniff 😍 Best Libre flanker imo.. I have two backups.. Lovely airy, clean, and aldehydic and I can't get enough of it.

Now this is wonderful. I hear YSL have discontinued it from the Libre line, which is a real shame. It's cold, metallic, floral, super soapy and the lavender is beautiful. I love it. It is quite masculine leaning though and can come across a bit 'shaving foam', so go steady. The only perfume I have ever been complimented on, by a woman in line at the post office. If you like Rive Gauche or Pure Poison you will enjoy this.

This has the same Libre dna but with a metallic lavender edge. I know the original Libre dna has a lot of lavender, but this one has that added freshness. Where the original Libre has a warmth, this one has a slight coldness to it. There is an extra sharp, but not screechy, lavender here. But I think this is lovely. This is my second favorite one just behind Libre Intense.

First time I tried I just loved it! Delicious lavender with some aldehydes... then I bought it, and when I tried it again I totally disliked it! Very strong lavender that leans too masculine, and I can barely feel any aldehydes anymore.

Totaly unisex. I like it, bit this perfume has no character. I think I wouldn’t get any compliment as a woman. It feels like I shawed myself with some cheap men shawing product

Not unlike Pure Poison but this is gorgeous.

a gorgeous every day scent. lavender is my new obsession so i was fortunate to find this already in my collection (thx boo!). it s clean, sophisticated, elegant, daring, feminine.

On me it smells 99,99% like Let me love you Blumarine

I thought I was going to dislike this perfume but this fragrance is so simple. It’s lovely actually. A sweet lavender wrapped in orange blossom with a kiss of aldehydes. Just lovely.

Creamy, clean, soft and fluffy but also extremely elegant. When I smell it, I imagine it worn by a woman with this unforced confidence and effortless beauty. I think of white and silver when it hits my nose from the wrist, like cool white silk against the skin. It has the Libre DNA but the sweetness is very subtle, somewhere in the background, which makes it my favourite flanker out of the line so far, although I haven't tested all of them yet.

I must preface this by saying that I have a love/hate relationship with Libre. I like the concept of it but man it gives me a headache whenever I wear it. Then came this beauty. This is the cleanest most beautiful airy scent I’ve smelled in a long time. It reminds me of the most confident woman who keeps her femininity in tact in the board room or male dominated environment. She’s the 1, and the two…lol Perfect fragrance for work or during a little daytime weekend situation. 8.5 out of 10!

I own the entire Libre line, so I feel like I can speak on this with full confidence, and Libre Absolu Platine is, without a doubt, my number one favorite out of all of them. I genuinely don’t understand the hate this one gets. It’s beautifully crafted. There’s something so smooth and elevated about it that sets it apart from the rest of the line. I’ve seen people complain about the aldehydes, but on my skin, they don’t come off harsh or screechy at all. Instead, they add this clean, almost luminous quality that blends seamlessly with the lavender. And that lavender… it’s done so well here. Not sharp, not overly aromatic, just soft, refined, and balanced. As it dries down, it becomes even more beautiful. I get a soft, powdery, musky finish that feels incredibly comforting and elegant without trying too hard. To me, this is the most “niche-feeling” Libre in the entire lineup. It honestly feels like something that was crafted with a higher artistic intention, almost like a niche perfume that somehow ended up in the designer world. The fact that it’s getting discontinued is such a shame, because this one truly stands out. It’s comforting, sophisticated, and effortlessly beautiful. Easily the best in the Libre family, in my opinion.

Although the first 15 minutes might suggest it's unisex, it gradually becomes more of a feminine scent. While the lavender sweetness persists, unnecessary, cloudy aldehydes spoil the experience. It's a perfume I didn't particularly like.

Something about this perfume reminds me of yuzu and I love it.

I own the EDT, Vanille Couture, Le Parfum and now this. I don’t care for the original edp. This one should’ve gotten way more love. The aldehydes make this airy and sparkling clean. The vanilla is balanced and doesn’t bring the composition down, instead it makes it feel addictive and provides a juxtaposition of warmth to this icy cold lavender/orange blossom queen. This feels like the most elegant and expensive of the line. It’s a sad shame it’s going away… this is crisp fresh linen if they were laundered in libre. Bubble bath if they had a Libre scented suds. This is definitely my favorite in the line now.

A more unisex, cologne-like take on the original. Still very lovely- an edgy version. The bottle is super cool as well!

I have had to check the box - is this a cologne, apparently not. This could definitely be unisex, it’s very masculine. Not an unpleasant scent. Once the dry down sets in, the masculine note tends to dissipate but only slightly. Not sure it’s quite what I was going for…

I've just tried it, loved it, then next thing I know it's being discontinued. Reminds me, actually, of that Narciso Rodríguez musc noir that is also being discontinued. What is it about this kind of perfumes? Are they selling less or is it something else like pushing new tendencies?

I love YSL l’absolut. I don’t know what I’m going to do when it becomes unavailable. My taste is clearly uncommon- this is my second signature fragrance that I get constant public compliments on but ended by brand. The other was bvlgari Jasmin Mon Nior (not the current black bottle -the original clear)

I bought this from on line retailer at discounted price. The scent projects well at first, but after 4 hours, i only get a faint smell on me. Maybe i have become nose blind. i like this compared to the OG, its more fresh and airy and not as cloying to me.

Silver moon eclipse libre. This is discontinued now. Turns out I adore aldehydes because this silvery beauty made me appreciate libre so much. This is so sexy. Creamy, icy cool, soapy and fresh. The lavender is there but less cloying than the others thanks to the bergamot and aldehydes. Learned that this has white lavender which I very much prefer.

for some reason i keep getting whiffs of alien?? idk if its the blue lavender or what

this is a good weird aldehydic scent that's noticeable without being strong i wore this to the airport and i got a compliment its a very linear scent it opens up fresh and a little soapy but then you get that screechy lavender accord and it pretty much stays the same

A cool, powerful fragrance with a decidedly strong character. Platinum perfectly reflects its tone and temperament. This is a scent for a power woman—not in the vein of 1980s floral aldehydes, but modern and minimalist. Clean, feminine, and refined, it radiates feminine strength. Beautiful longevity with an elegant yet pronounced projection and a strong sillage. The DNA of the original is clearly preserved. High quality and a true pleasure to wear.

I repurchased this for the second time , and every time i spray it i feel like it’s such a quality perfume , very sharp cold lavender , wouldn’t say metallic but clean , i smelled the original edp but it lacked something like it was just mehh, this one combines everything and put it together in the most perfect blend

Best of The Best! I own Libre edp. Intense, le Parfum and this one. Libre platine is the most unique of the Libre line and I’m 100000% for it!!! Projection and lasting power here is really something. Love this one. Love aldehydes.

Smells metallic and like man’s cologne, but I love the dry-down ! High quality perfume, you will not regret

i can agree with this one catching more masculine on me. usually i catch sweet warm notes but this one smells so manly

I dislike the OG Libre. Recently tried the tester of this and Le Parfum. I like this for its Citus notes and not being overpowering. This could be my day to day scent. I ordered and upon receiving, I use it right away. I find this scent profile very suitable for day wear.
