daddy, but in a profesional and clean way. Wonderful.
Heavy on the fresh spicy. Has a heady ozonic/quality that leads the fragrance to lean more masculine. Reminds me of Valentino Born In Roma Uomo, deep musky woods with bitter citrus and dusty white floral to tie them together.
A pleasant bergamot cedar cologne which doesn't turn soapy on me. It has surprisingly good longevity for a citrussy scent. I like it and I'm sad to discover from another review that it's now discontinued. I will enjoy using up the rest of my sample.
This is a stripped down slightly more masculine and modern D&G Light Blue. For high heat and versatility this one is a real winner. Get it if you can
I was too late when I madly and completely fell for this fragrance. “Too masculine,” I thought. “Too woody,” I childishly proclaimed. Now I’m at the dregs of my sample vial, in utter dismay since it’s become a favorite and it’s been discontinued (at least in the U.S.) I’ve enjoyed layering this with a couple of scents that needed some fresh woods to give it something that had been lacking. I would also dab some on my wrists on its own after an evening shower to enjoy its grounding aroma as I wind down for the night. I’m going to miss it. I’ve read a couple of comments on here about its similarity to D&G Light Blue. With a spritz and some patience while wading through its top notes, I finally get that even more with Light Blue Intense. But it’s still not Cedre Atlas.
Cedar, bergamot and amber it comes out with the power of Windex but if you let it pass it becomes really pleasant. Smells handsome.
The apricot adds something unique and intriguing to the typical citrus-woody DNA. I don't pick up on ambroxan/musk/molecule anything that others have mentioned (and I'm sensitive to those). I also don't pick up on the black current or Jasmine. I get a pretty straight forward citrus, apricot, cedar/woody fragrance - it's straight forward, and/but it's really good. Totally unisex, year-round, office safe, easy reach. Subtle, smooth, very nice quality.
This is an incredibly realistic, cool, woodsy scent. Typically, with cool wood scents, there's far too much pine thrown in, making it smell like a Christmas tree. This cologne doesn't do that; instead, it creates the imagery of walking on a cold afternoon through English cedar woods. The faintly fruity notes of apricot and black currant are not noticeable on their own, but together are the slight warmth that makes the cologne still stay on the happier side. The scent is introspective, quiet, and wearable as a daytime or nighttime scent. It is slightly too woodsy for it to be an everyday scent for me, but this is definitely good in a small bottle to collect for an occasion or when you're in that mood.
if you take jhag Moscow mule and super cedar Byredo and layer them you get cedrat atlas but with long lasting longevity moderate skin scent very clean and fresh style perfect for summer and high heat
Seems to me that the fragrant materials in this are 90% iso-E super and some ambroxan. The rest in the top and mid are some citrus and floral oils that dissipate with a rush. Seems like either an amateur composition or a strongly creatively directed one. Either way, the end result is simple, and very enjoyable if you like the iso-E cedar accord. If you don’t, well… EDIT: I’ve come to enjoy this a lot. The woody base notes are sharp and complement the citrus and floral notes for a piercing effect. A classy choice to the gym or any situation that requires juicy acidic sharpness.
I didn't expect to like this one as much as I do! I'm not typically a fan of "woody" scents, but I think the citrus balances it out for me. However, and this isn't a bad thing...the scent struck me as familiar, and I couldn't place it until I was cleaning with Goo Gone later in the week. Good thing I like that smell, because that's definitely what it reminds me of!
Icy, fresh citrusy and agrumes notes coming like a bouquet upon the first spray. The cedar is perfectly balanced, bringing enough dimension. Very clean overall, beautiful dry-down that keeps me smelling my wrists! And very pleasant on warm skin… Hard for me to categorize if I’d wear it during an icy winter or an early morning during a hot Mediterranean summer. Perfectly unisex. Reminds me of Hermes Citron Noir without the smoke and leather notes. Pricing point is between ok and little overpriced to me, wished it lasted longer. I can see the comparison to D&G Light Blue, but this cologne is another level and far better, with a real projection. ___ Projection, sillage, longevity : 8/10 Originality, presentation : 4,5/10 Quality, value : 7,5/10 7/10
Cèdre Atlas is perfect for these late summer and early fall days. On one hand, there is the citrusy freshness and on the other hand, there is cedar that adds some foresty fall vibes. I have been wearing this fragrance during the past few days and I must say that it is very similar to Love Osmanthus, also in the fact that it smells very sharp, musky and overly synthetic, à la Ambroxan and Iso E Super. I guess this is also why I categorize this fragrance as more male than unisex. Sillage and longevity is also great, it still radiates two meters off my shirt after 6 hours. This is definitely one of the more potent Atelier Cologne offerings, but it also smells like it, unnatural and built for performance.
It is a summer sunny day and you are collecting apricots from the trees. You like it when the apricots are firm because you can easily separate them into two halves, remove the seed, and eat one half at a time. Some of them are barely ripe and really tart but you enjoy them anyway.
По началу можно сказать, что аромат отдаёт химозной/синтетической ёлкой. Через час-полтора ничего химозного нет ,присутствует только сладость . Хорошие духи)
Oh man, I expected a lot from this fragrance, despite of it's harsh opening, I really gave it some time but it still didn't fulfilled my expectations. Although the notes do suggest that it would be an amazing blend but sadly it isn't!
Amber-y, musky, yet retains its lightness and woodsy quality. I do agree that there is a synthetic edge to this fragrance, however I don't mind it having a more molecular quality and I don't crave photorealistic natural fragrances all the time.
I agree with many of the reviews here. Harsh and sharp. Synthetic. Quite unrefined. A tart stab to the nose. Has a very generic smell, like strong DNA of a cirtrus-heavy cologne, in shards on the tile floor, without any of the distinguishing features. The marketing here is pretty but it absolutely doesn't live up to any expectations. Note to self: give away or get rid of my sample.
Harsh opening, ambroxan heavy, ultra synthetic. Cedre Atlas indeed strongly resembles the OG Light Blue as well as Atelier Cologne's own Love Osmathus, albeit more masculine. It also reminds me of a certain drugstore's "our impression of" Light Blue. This is one of AC's misses and a no from me.
I was in notino store and smelled a sample of this perfume. Wow! Cedar and papyrus, unique! Then I tried it on skin and just couldn't stop inhaling it on my wrist. Unique papyrus - dry (maybe also because of the vetiver) and tangible. The citrus was weak at first and disappeared quickly. But then.. oh my dear. The next day I bought a 100ml bottle, I immediately used it and.. APRICOT! A lot, lot of apricot, palpable, nose bumping, feminine, masking everything else. It took more than an hour and a half for the dry papyrus I was waiting for to appear on a cedar base. I guess the batches are different. I'm super happy and disappointed at the same time. Still, 4/5!
As generic as it gets. There are thousands of designer perfumes exactly like this. Zzzzzz
Cedre Atlas Atelier Cologne- Smells a LOT like D&G light blue. There is more of a spice and leathery notes in this. Sits close to skin. Unisex. More manly when dried down. I wouldn't keep if gifted, I'd be more likely to just get LiGHT Blue for a cheaper price and better sillage. The citrus/light blue dries down fast, the remaining spices make it wearable for a season.
Don't anybody see close resemblance this to Nishane Hacivat? I'm very surprised that it's not in the list. They are very much alike. While Nishane is much richer, denser, oakmossy and more potent of course.
Enchanted fairy tale in a deep green forest, cedar is very strong - you must like it or at least tolerate it to appreciate this creation, what makes this very different from anything else is a twist of apricot and black currant, it gives this unique sweet'n sour fruit and berry touch. This one is on my guilty pleasure list.
abrasively synthetic devoid of performance, lemon cleaner coca cola, fuzzy thin tart apricot, realistic lemon peels with added ammonia, hopefully its a scent that is devoid of performance, genderless because it doesn't smell like a fine/personal fragrance. ambroxan doesn't even fit the rest of the profile, use this at clothing if you don't wanna smell like lemon essenced window cleaner fluid. It is Dolce Gabbana light blue for her gone masculine. didn't like the light blue for her because of its window cleaner vibe, gets overwhelming after 20mins. great idea executed the wrong way
I love it , it’s really balsamic on the dry dow(cedar so concentrate that almost burn your nostrils +sparkly apricot)
on my skin, doesnt really feel earthy or woodsy. first spray - sharp, sterile, alcohol really comes through. like im in the lab, im the experiment. a little wet, metallic, goes well next to my silver jewelry. the alcohol evaporates and i'm left with a very parchment, papyrus-y scent. like a glossy magazine, or old worn out book on that shelf in that lab. not fruity at all, i dont get a lot of sweetness. what i think an old, unopened chemistry textbook would smell like. really great.
Equal parts: 1) cool but bright bergamot 2) sweet, musky cedar It feels earthy, masculine-leaning (but still unisex), refreshing, but intimate and warm all at the same time. The imagery that pops into my head is a cool fall day in a forest, with sun starting to peek out from the overcast clouds after a refreshing drizzle. Would also be great for a cozy afternoon on a rainy day, inside a coffee shop with your favorite turtleneck, ready to chat with someone you're close to.
Very fruity in the opening, and then the cedarwood comes out and it becomes very dry and woody. Definitely unisex and versatile, but it might have benefited from some stronger notes to give it more oomph. On the other hand, its lightness allows it to be worn even in the hottest weather. A pleasantly woodsy scent, I know I'll get some use out of my sample but probably won't be buying a full bottle.
First impression with the strong citrus opening was of a type of tea my mom gave me when I was child and had a cold. Very nostalgic but almost too sharp. It calms down to a slightly sweetened apricot cedar which is a super wearable scent. It’s clean and not going to offend anyone after the first 15 minutes. I would find attractive on a guy but wouldn’t mind wearing myself either.
