Maybe one day I’ll find a vanilla perfume who’s ending doesn’t fizzle out towards boredom. I picked this up because lavender is a lifelong favourite and it’s truly beautiful here. The ginger puts in more effort than I thought it would, so the vanilla is gentle and with a little bit of fresh spiciness. For me the cacao steps forward a bit later and to my delight it smells very natural and not dessert-sweet, as does the vanilla. Unfortunately my enjoyment dies out after that. It’s unsurprising from the notes list that its development was so linear (but the cacao hung around on my skin longer than the other top notes), but nevertheless it just felt too plain and too safe. At least it lasts forever on my skin, but as a disliker of dressed-down vanilla the universe picked the wrong person to do that for :p

One of the first bottles of perfume I bought years ago. Still a really solid fragrance, I honestly thought I was over it and wore it the today. I know some people hate the ginger but for me it's what really brings everything together. It's a dry sweet fragrance, the lavender makes it more mature, ginger keeps it aromatic and fresh. I hated all the Libre line but still love and reach for Goddess. My bottle has only gotten stronger and better performing over the years, now it lasts around 8 hours. As much as people may contest I do get compliments with this one. If you find that you don't like the lavender go for Rare, I find its more ginger vanilla/cocoa.

I’d wear this anytime, anywhere. Love 💗 the dry down is powdery & sweet. Long lasting on skin & clothing.

Really pretty un-sweet vanilla with a touch of lavender. More on the natural end of vanilla, it feels very elegant and dressy. Just slightly powdery to my nose, in a pleasant way.

This is such a beautiful fragrance, I can’t get enough of it. It’s a deep, slightly spicy, complex vanilla. I love the lavender note as well. 10/10.

my bf likes this one a lot (and so do i!). he bought me the mini versions of this and burberry her edp. this one is more mature

I was gifted this perfume for the first time today and it instantly reminded me of my most favorite discontinued Avon perfume, Attraction (for her). Some might not agree with me on this. It blends so well with my chemistry and I'm so happy I found Burberry Goddess to bring back my long gone signature scent. Neither have any notes in common with each other except for vanilla and possible cacao/praline blend....but it smells exactly the same to me. Subtle, clean, creamy, vanilla. I'm in love.

One of my favourite drag queen’s from Drag Race wears this when I asked her, so I went out to try. I prefer Goddess EDP and EDT to Intense as the original has more lavender and washing detergent powder with baby wipes, Intense has more annoying chemicals and fixatives. But, all are so close to Angham that it’s only worth getting Angham (if you like Goddess) as it’s cheaper and the Burberry’s are nothing amazing/refined/special to start with. Goddess represents the modern-day generic, feminine, fast fashion culture of fragrances. To me, Goddess has no Charisma, Uniqueness, Nerve nor Talent so I guess that’s down to the individual wearer to bring to the runway.

I received a sample from this and is most overhyped perfume.. it’s weak doesn’t last doesn’t leave a trail.basic sweat perfume .

This is my favorite vanilla perfume of all time and one of my favorite perfumes in general. This is so good. The lavender note is just chef’s kiss. It’s so sweet but the cacao and ginger make it sexy and delicious!! She’s one of a kind I love her 10/10

To me it just smells like I’ve got a nice body lotion. I can’t imagine people stopping and asking what fragrance you’re wearing. It’s nice, pleasant and inoffensive. Almost like a strong scented sunscreen smell. Haven’t tested in cold weather, only warmer days. It’s okay?

Анонім

Initial moments: like being freshly showered after a day spent baking in the sun. Later: warmth, coziness, headyness. Still sunbaked, lightly powdered with a hint of the tropics (likely the ginger) Vibe: casual, romantic, cozy

Fresh, spicy vanilla. A safe office choice. A safe gift choice... Works all year round! Very classy very chic. I am always picky about lavender scents but this one has my heart....💜 Performance..... It lasts about 5 hours and sits close to the skin. Which is odd because my tester lasted about 7 hours and had good projection! Maybe I got an old batch.... I do love it so I will definitely repurchase the refill and see if it's a batch to batch issue.

The creamy dessert has a delicious and intense cocoa flavor at the beginning, Then there's a warm, delicious sweetness mixed with vanilla and cocoa; some might find this unrelated, but this perfume is like a more flavorful, lavender-infused, light and sweet version of Choco Musk, and it's also somewhat similar to Black Opium. But it's lighter and tastier than black opium.

It's both fresh and creamy at the same time. Very smooth and well blended. It's a charming fragrance. I feel like every other women I pass by at the mall is wearing this, and for good reason. This is the fragrance I wear the most. I have other fragrances that I consider to be more beautiful, but this one is just so pleasant and wearable and doesn't "need" anything from me. You don't need to be in any particular kind of mood to enjoy it or to feel like it's the right time for it, it's almost always a good reach that elevates my day.

Love this community because as always, some things are just spot on. It’s true in all sense, it’s warm, powdering, comfortable, safe, but pleasant and nice enough. It is a safe blind buy. You do get a nice amount of lavender, especially in the initial stage, and smell different variances of vanilla throughout its journey. There’s a bit of sharpness that comes as a kick a little later, which seems to be the ginger everyone references. So here’s one you haven’t heard yet: she’s giving (especially in dry down) Meow by Katy Perry. Yes, the purple cat bottle. Kind of speaks a bit to the lack of overall complexity and uniqueness. Was worth it enough as I bought a 50mL bottle second hand for $70. That’s why i prefer & pivot to Intense- she’s so much more unique, bolder and compelling. If only vanillas would last long I have yet to find anything that stays on.

I put it in the fridge and it fucked up my scent so I have no idea what it smells like due to the fridge.

This is an incredibly safe fragrance for a gift! but it is so safe that, to be honest, I find it boring. However, despite being so predictable, it is definitely better than most generic perfumes on the market today. At the very first spray, it opens with a sharp note maybe it's the lavender or ginger. But as soon as that initial sharpness fades away, the fragrance completely transforms. It wraps you in a warm, cozy vanilla hug. But i feel like a walking vanilla cake. if you are looking for excitement or a plot twist, you won't find it here. It is just pure, sweet, and safe .

My official autumn-welcoming vanilla. It's just lovely. Creates cozy scent bubble. This goes perfectly with some hot baverage, sweater and rain outside the window.

I received tons of Libre samples (from YSL) a few months ago when I got a Bottle of the original Opium for my mom. I tested them, and I received a lot of compliments, but Libre is not for me. I just liked the lavender in there; nothing else. I find the whole composition super "perfumy", synthetic, and headache-inducing. I was recommended to try this one instead: Burberry Goddess. My expectations were low, but I ended up enjoying it way more than Libre. The vanilla in here is more dense and "gourmand" (I think it's the cacao), but way less synthetic than Libre and less syrupy than Mon Guerlain (it's been a while since I tested Mon Guerlain OG; not sure if the composition has changed), still super sweet though. My best friend says this is not as "sexy" as the others, but that's exactly why this is more comforting and versatile. I agree that Rare from Selena Gomez is extremely similar, but there's no lavender in there. I'm still looking for a similar DNA; ideally, I would have: natural lavender and a natural toned-down vanilla with a super creamy sandalwood dry-down. I've tried designer and niche, and I haven't found it. This is not there, but it is a comforting crowd pleaser.

I read that 'Gold' is the same as 'Goddess' but just name changed due to religious reasons in certain areas. My review is for 'Gold'. It's a delicate, feminine lovely fragrance. Started off with a citrusy hit and I think I could smell the lavender strongly. Then it settles to a cocoa, ginger, vanilla musk, with the vanilla powdery musk being most prominent. I live in a tropical humid weather and feel it's quite alright in sunny weather, not cloying at all. I felt it's somewhat similar to D&G pour femme. The difference being that has more citrus and the dry down is sweet vanilla powdery, whereas Burberry Gold continues with hints of lavender, ginger, cocoa in the dry down very subtly. Overall I'm wondering whether to get a full bottle or not as it is pricey here but I can see me using it as an easy grab any day, any moment Edit - I'm really enjoying the fizzy yet soft ginger, cocoa dry down and find it rather comforting.

Wow! I always knew this was a popular fragrance and I wish I got it sooner. Wow, she's a beauty! The perfect mixture of lavender and vanilla. It smells heavenly and it's so long-lasting..10/10

the ginger note is so loud it's nauseating to me. it has been macerating for over half a year but it still stinks of gasoline! too bad i realized it after buying a 10 ml bottle.

Анонім

Very strong lavender at first. Then... a dupe for Mon Guerlain. Seriously this is Mon Guerlain but less powdery and sweet. It doesn't project much and it is not very long lasting. It's ok. But I skip for now.

I got a travel size of this to test it out, and the verdict is in, I absolutely will be buying a large bottle of this. Smells so delicious. Warm vanilla, but also has a light and airy feel to it. I feel like it can be worn in any season, but might be even better in the cooler months. Burberry continues to create amazing fragrances, and this is a good one!

Анонім

The lavender is really strong and it starts to give me a headache after awhile and if I spray too much. A little goes a long way with this. I really loved this when I first got it but now I only smell the lavender and it feels powdery to me which I hate

Burberry Goddess is a nice floral vanilla fragrance. I had originally got the bottle for me but after like 2 months I felt the lavender was too overpowering to my nose and regifted it to my mom. And I hate to say it but on her it smells so creamy airy and delicious, quite literally angelic! I just prefer this fragrance on other people not me :)) also got good amount of compliments wearing this perfume as a guy!! This is one of the better designer vanilla's in my opinion. All in all I definitely recommend sampling it before getting a big bottle also buy it off a fragrance discounter its not worth the retail price (upwards $200 USD)!!! -and remember "In a world full of hate and evil, be the change you want to see in this world"
