smells like the dying of an Indian summer. The remaining sun and breeze, a foreplay to the promise of cozy. A few sprays on each wrist.

Carrot, cinnamon, cardamom and ginger, it is unique, fun and creative, but also slightly hard to wear I'd say hard to imagine where this is perfect to wear. But if you like the 4 notes mentioned it is perfect

Sampled on paper, it smells like chewing sugar-free mint gum and chainsmoking cigarettes at the same time. Mentholation and dirty cigarette smoke. I think it's because of the damn patchouli, always choking out every single fragrance it's present in, desperate as hell for attention. I thought this would smell like carrot cake everyone lied to me. Even the clerk working the sample desk compared it to shisha/hookah, saying that's what this fragrance smells like to him and recommending a place to visit nearby where I could sample the actual stuff. LOL Chill and real as hell for that, preciate it but I'll pass man Update: No, this doesn’t smell like shisha. Shisha smells good and I wouldn’t mind smelling like it. Also this isn’t sweet at all

This one appeals to my love of more vegetable expressions of iris AND my love of spicy chai accords. Even though I know this would probably be ten times better if it were more potent and laden with expensive materials, it scratches an obscure itch and I admire Byredo for occasionally releasing these really niche smelling scents that feel more like old L’Artisan than Byredo. And so now I hunt for a good deal on a bottle. Mmm nice cozy drydown too. 4 out of 5.

The scent is interesting, but... it gets overwhelming. It’s like spending a long time in a spice shop. You start to get a headache and just want to get some fresh air.

This smells like Red Hots, from the 80s and the BEE and Rabbit fragrances from Zoologist combined. I hate Zoologist fragrances so it's a not for me. If you wear this you better shower well first and scrub yourself down before application, because it can turn on you and you won't even know it. I'll try it again in the fall but for now my sample will sleep.

It smelled very neutral and cinnamon-y initially, but then turned very sweet and feminine. Not what im going for at all but it smells amazing regardless.

It smells like sweetened oris carrot tea/ bread/ cake and I liked that part, but the opening was not it. It's strong and unique.

Dream scent. If ‘Studied’ and ‘Of True Minds’ by Liis had a baby. Love the crazy cinnamon opening, like nothing else. Reminds me of September, maybe my favorite month.

This doesn't smell like anything else I've smelled, so don't go by the "reminds me of" section. I will say it's an acquired taste. I could not understand the appeal, as I was looking for a powdery iris fragrance and got harsh spices. I dunno who decided this was a "carrot cake" fragrance. It's not sweet at all. It's heavily spiced and quite harsh in the opening, but it does become warmer and rounder as I wears. I think I could enjoy this WITH another fragrance, like adding something with more substance, like vanilla 28 or something of that nature, but by itself it feels a bit "thin" for a cosy fragrance. It's missing density.

Definitely a holiday time fragrance. I wouldn't wear this any other time.Reminiscent of carrot cake with mulled spices. Very strong conpared to other house offerings. 100ml bottle available btw

omg this smells like a not so sweet carrot cake, very powdery, very inoffensive and cozy. It has a clean, slightlyy masculine leaning feel to it but its mostly unisex. Perfect for cozying up with a book and staying inside.

This is my favorite fragrance of all time!

I get the reviews that say carrot cake, but it feels a little too artificial to me for that. Instead, this reminds me of walking into a craft store. Potpourri and strongly scented holiday decor (cinnamon) mixed with the slight chemical smell from the synthetic fabrics and plastic bins, plus something woody like wicker or popsicle sticks. It even captures the lingering dust in the air that makes your nose tickle.

You step in expensive boutique for shopping. Once you get in, very kind employee approach to you and ask if you need anything. You grab gorgeous chic black silk long dress and say you want to try. The store person gently grab the dress, lead you you to change room. You get in and wear the dress. Now, you saw yourself in the mirror and realize, "Holy shit, this dress is so gorgeous" This is the scent. You know you are not gonna wear it everyday, or enjoy it every day. But when you know you have special day coming and you want to look so chic with silk black dress, this scent is that black silk long dress.

It's a nice scent. Boozy, whiskey-like without the alcoholic punch. Cinnamon is very prominent but gets muted down with a fresh creamy tone. Would buy.

My baby that I fell head over heels in love with at first sniff. The carrot, the ginger, the cinnamon, the iris: it all blends in so well, it made me go crazy for it. I couldn't wait to buy my own bottle of this spicy treasure. It has now become my signature and the most prized scent that I own. So comforting, warm, delicious and not sweet! I cannot recommend it enough if you are sensitive to cinnamon, spicy, cozy scents. Only down point: it doesn't last that long on skin... but it holds well on clothes and hair. Love it, mwah 💋

Ooh, lovely. Definite cola vibes with this one. That's what I first pick up on, cinnamon, ginger, and cola. Then later on the orris and carrot come out. Cola sweet iris. The iris is really what sold me. Gorgeous, warming, sweet, and gently spicy. I'll keep it in mind next time I'm looking to add something to my collection.

Feels like a warm desert, spicy and slightly herbal - carrot cake with icing on top. Not overly sweet and gourmand. Just comforting and delicious.

I really like this. It makes me think this is what I want to smell like while I have tea and cookies when I am sitting around knitting. The cinnamon is very strong in the opening and does smell like craft stores a bit until it settles. This is also not very sweet on me, so does not remind me of carrot cake, the orris does lend some creaminess though.

First sniff reminds me of the Romanian alcoholic drink țuică (or palinca) with cola 😂

Eyes Close smells like a sugar-free carrot cake muffin, which sounds lovely but I do not care for it, probably because I do not like carrot-y orris. It feels very dense on my skin, I prefer my cinnamon-heavy perfumes to have an airy quality and this does not. It is a nice fragrance but you must love orris.

It's inevitably cola accord-heavy, I had no idea on the notes (as cinnamon and cardamom -which I believe does the job of coriander in this case- would have been a strong giveaway toward that impression). However, it merely reminds me of coca cola for quite some time. It's not your fizzy coke though, it has definitely sat there for a while and lost its acidity. From what I heard it should be reminiscent of Toskovat's Génération Godard's Cola accord as it's supposed to project the very same thing merely with the twist of a silver screen theme to it. (I'm yet to have given that one a try though, so take the comparison with a pinch of salt).

for me they have a similar note to dior homme intense, probably it’s the iris. very cinnamony scent too

Do you want to smell like carrot cake couture? I do! This is one of the first fragrances in YEARS that immediately excited and intrigued me. On first spray you will get a BLAST of cinnamon which quickly marries with ginger. Those soften in a short time and you can easily smell the carrot and orris butter along with the cardamom. I promise you will never smell the papyrus or patchouli. I’m a fan of patchouli and sensitive to it and I could never find it. This cannot be a blind but. Many people cannot get past the cinnamon. This is for connoisseurs, as there’s so few cinnamon fragrances available. However, as stated the cinnamon mixes very quickly with the ginger and cardamom. If you like gourmand fragrances you need to do yourself the pleasure of experiencing this, and u urge you to WEAR it when you try it. The heat from your body adds to the feeling of coziness and enveloping warmth. I’m told repeatedly that Eyes Closed smells so much better on me than when sprayed on paper. One thing is for sure, no one will ever confuse this fragrance for anything mass market or dull.
