I reach for Chance edt more often than I do the edp. The edt sparkles, and I love the sweet - but NOT syrupy - pineapple note. It’s a never-fail dopamine lift for me. But I love the edp, too, even though I don’t wear it as often. It smells deeper, richer, muskier, but it’s never too much for me (not that I don’t appreciate perfumes that are over the top and too much, it’s just that I enjoy smelling them more on others). Chance is never not right for my skin or for my mood. It simply suits me, and I love both formulations.

I like it, on the opening it’s really gorgeous and musky with a bit of spice, but later in the day it just kinda smells like old lady department store perfume. Really long-lasting though. I smell the florals really well which is confusing since they aren’t at the forefront of the profile.

Crushed pink pepper and grapefruit leads directly into musk and patchouli. Much stronger than the original but still maintains its sparkling elements, great blend of green and fruity. This can be worn all year, though I'd use it in the evenings for the dead of summer. I'd definitely get a full bottle of this.

Strong, musky and masculine leaning

This is by far my most long lasting perfume. You barely need to spray any to get a great amount of projection and longevity. It’s a wonderful powdery, musky scent with unmistakable Chanel DNA. If you want that Chanel DNA, the performance and the classy vibe that Chanel perfumes give off, but want something younger, fresher than No 5, this is the perfume to go for.

It opens green, citrusy and floral, with a translucent feel and a hint of orange peel, light enough to briefly remind me of Jesús del Pozo’s Halloween. As it settles, it turns more opaque and musky, slightly soapy, slightly bitter, drifting towards Narciso Rodriguez musks. I don’t really enjoy this one.

This was a lovey blind purchase for me. I sprayed from this bottle until my sister stole it.

Анонім

I’m usually a Coco Mademoiselle and Allure kind of person, so Chance Eau de Parfum by Chanel was a total blind buy for me—a real “take a chance” moment—and somehow it paid off. From the first spray, it felt softer and more easygoing compared to what I normally wear. Still very Chanel, still polished, but less sharp and more rounded. There’s this gentle sweetness and light floral vibe that just feels effortless, not trying too hard, not overpowering—just naturally put together. But what really got me is the dry down. That’s where I fell for it. It turns into this warm, slightly powdery, almost creamy scent that feels super comforting on my skin. It’s the kind of scent that makes you want to keep smelling your wrist without even realizing. It doesn’t shout, it just stays close, soft, and really personal. Compared to Mademoiselle and Allure, this one feels more relaxed, more intimate. I don’t wear it to make a statement—I wear it because it makes me feel good. That dry down especially… it just hits different.

minimum patchouli, such a strong and almost masculine red pepper. Smells kinda upper class workaholic. Jasmine and musk are kind of together . Interesting and leaning to stronger almost masculine perfumes. Can't be ignored. Elegant and strong

This literally smells like money. Since I was a child, I remember my wealthy aunts smelling like this, but it doesn't smell like an old lady. It smells like a woman who embodies old money. What I perceive (though it might sound strange, but I mean it in a good way) is something like aged fruit, a touch of acidity, just a hint of sweetness, purple flowers, and I truly get a note of money, cash, real money. I don't know if it's because it reminds me of the money my aunts used to give me when I was a child, that would linger with their perfume. I repeat, it doesn't smell like an old lady. It also smells a bit like lipstick and the most expensive makeup. It smells like a serious woman going shopping at a luxury mall. I can just imagine Coco Chanel herself wearing this perfume. She's literally the woman I picture when I smell this perfume, but if she lived in this era. I can also imagine a woman with the style and poise of Carolina Herrera wearing it. It lasts and projects incredibly well. On clothes, it lasts for days! Once, sadly, a decant I took out to take on a trip broke, and the bathroom smelled like it until I did a deep clean. I love this perfume; it exudes class and opulence. This perfume is never on sale, and there must be a reason for that. If you want a dupe or something with the same vibe, try Amber Fusion by Zara. It's not identical at all, but it gives off a very similar vibe. It's also very nice, but if Amber Fusion smells like a thousand dollars, Chance smells like a million. Delightful.

It’s earthy but I was surprised I enjoyed the 1ml I got. I was curious and new generational so I sampled this. I think the iris and patchouli is smooth. Vanilla here is nice and overall musky. Not a bad one at all.

Анонім

Yes, it is similar to Mademoiselle with the Patchouli note, but I find this one to be more soft, floral, and musky. A bit more mature. The patchouli is less loud and more wearable on a day-to-day basis. Another classic Chanel scent that you can't go wrong with.

This is one of my favorite feminine fragrances. On first spray, it can be a bit clawing with the grapefruit, pepper, and patchouli all rushing forward at once demanding attention. If you’ve been put off by that initial blast, it’s worth giving this one some time to settle on the skin. After an hour or so, it transforms into an elegant symphony. Once it settles, the scent becomes beautifully balanced and surprisingly intimate. It feels sexy and polished while still being appropriate for the office. The early spice, powder, and citrus soften and blend together so none of them dominate, while the patchouli and warm woody notes stay in the background, adding depth and warmth. It’s elegant, confident, and far more nuanced than the opening suggests.

Another one from Chanel that i really enjoy. The opening is citrusy, something like bergamot. And after a while, I mostly get a mix of patchouli and powdery Iris. A lot of reviewers have been comparing this to Coco Mademoiselle, but I don’t really see a connection or similarity between these two other than the signature Chanel patchouli note.

Анонім

I spent some time to read back the reviews and it is remarkable how few people reported compliments. No wonder. It is a little aggressive and I agree, it is like a slightly uglier cousin of Coco Mademoiselle. Dry down is cold and metallic cypher and patchouli. The middle notes are masculine. I enjoy the top notes the most, it has some peppery freshness and almost minty. If it would not be a Chanel release, it would be a big fail. Brand sells.

I despise this scent. it’s old fashioned and there’s something so screechy and off-putting. extremely strong. lasted over 12 hours on my skin.

Анонім

My mom's scent. Forever sentimental.

Анонім

Heavier, darker and less fresh than the EDT. It performs very well in terms of longevity and projection (unlike the EDT), but in exchange for that, it lacks freshness. I miss the strong pineapple note in this one. It's very "Chanel" and that doesn't appeal to me, as heavy patchouli floral combos aren't my thing. I can tell it's good quality, it just doesn't smell like me. Reminds me a bit too much of Coco Mademoiselle EDT, which I used to have a sample of but I had to give it away because it's just too strong and not to my taste. I think if you like that one, you will like this, but I don't think you need both.

Анонім

Still a very beautiful perfume. Though the older I get, the more I lean towards less intense smelling scents from Chanel. I'm starting to find this to be too in my face, and too loud for my work environment. I wear the EDT, and honestly the EDT is a bit more wearable everyday for me. There are some facets in this scent that is a bit overwhelming, such as the musk. The EDT overall is more well balanced and demure in nature. I do enjoy this scent, but it is more for a luxury shopping at Chanel type of day rather than a 9 to 5 corporate environment.

love this perfume a lot, always a go to

Анонім

I can smell Chanel style flowers and patchouli. It doesn't project very much but it is long lasting. It has that Chanel DNA but the patchouli, vanilla and musk, give it some added sweetness. I love it 💛

Анонім

Considering the notes I would have expected to like it but not my cup of tea. I bought this to my mom and she loves it and suits her perfectly.

Enormous Sillage u gonna kill any other fragrance in the room literally insane u r not spraying a perfume u r just activating a sillage nuke… but longevity?? 9 hrs minimum 24 hrs maximum … the scent?? Ahh just classy french ladies woody pretty firty patchouli scents { chanel’s signature } but the musk here is really helping the fragrance to be more acceptable jasmine and iris undertone really good also the first 50 min is just masculine citrusy peppery ultra masculine smell ! 8/10

Анонім

Rich, not blooming, floral. Prominent Chanel DNA but softer. Gaultier classique vibe too. Like a strong 'old fashioned' face powder scent.

Анонім

That's the smell of a rich woman who always wears pressed clothes and never had to clean a toilet in her life. Very elegant fragrance!

Анонім

Very nice, versatile, safe scent but still smells chanely. Any age, any occasion. 8,5/10

my love hate relationship wiith this scent continues... This is a musky patchouli and probably the only kind of patchouli my skin complements. 80% of the time, I don't like it. Don't reach for it. Don't even think of it and if I do, and take a sniff from the bottle the pepper note repulses me. But the other 20% of the time? DEEP SIGH. It's the only perfume I can tolerate when I have a migraine. I am yet to discover why. So as much I want to get rid of it, I keep it for the rare days all my other perfume bottles give me a headache and this is the only one I can reach for.

Анонім

I just get a lot of stinky patchouli... Not a big fan.

This was gifted for me, so my review will be in a point of view of someone who wouldn’t pick the bottle out of the other choices of Chanel fragrances. I don’t dislike this perfume, there’s slight freshness that I like, something zingy underneath the calmness of patchouli and iris; it’s probably the jasmine note peeking. It’s vibrant in an elegant way. That being said, the reason why this was gifted to me was because of its performance. My mom needs something stronger and long-lasting, though she likes the scent profile, the other Chanel she has, and also likes— could give better performance. I actually think this perfume is not bad, it’s beautiful. I just generally don’t like Chanel’s patchouli and I have other perfumes that are more suitable and interesting for my taste.
