Pavement and water puddle is accurate. I don't really get too much grass , it's more like a few fallen leaves in the puddle or a nearby park . It's not summer though. It's like a warm October morning, with cloudy gray sky. It has a mild sweetness of rubber boots. Despite being a simple concept , this is extremely well made and quite unlike other similar scents. It's not as green as debaser for example. Despite being wet/damp this feels kinda soft and plush. And cozy / comforting. This is the 28th sample I've been testing in the past few days and it's the only one so far I'm definitely going to buy. I really love this house. Why is it so short-lasting though :(((

it just smells wet, like a perfect imitation of a post-rain puddle scent. impressive i guess??

This smells like my Mitchum “unscented “ clear gel deodorant/antiperspirant. It’s supposed to be unscented but it has a soft “skin” scent to it that I really like. I can’t get it out of my head that this is Mitchum in edp form. So weird, considering the hype and this is how my nose processes it. This isn’t a bad review and I like the scent, but since I associate it with deodorant—albeit one that has a skin scent that I love— I’ll have to pass on a full bottle.

everyone seems to go on about this one and how it smells like hose water or summer days playing in the sprinklers or plastic pools or whatever, and i really wish i got that, but i don't, at all. it's just a fairly masculine mix of vetiver and bitter mandarin peel on my skin, with perhaps a bit of a resinous-woody bent to the drydown. it actually feels a bit heavy and musty, not at all the bright chlorinated plasticky smell i'd expected. i have a complicated relationship with vetiver so that might be what's throwing me off. not for me; i might give it to my partner and see if he likes wearing it more than i do.

unique unisex light refreshing scent, faint scent of grass. i usually dislike any green scents, but this is very mellow. i wouldn't say aquatic, but actually watery/damp/mildewy (not in a bad way) dries down to strong sharp ambroxan. all the ds&durga fragrances i've tried have a similar dry down. opening is very pleasant, dry down is good, but not special.

It’s not what I expected hearing about it before smelling - it’s heavy on the grass note whereas I expected a heavier petrichor and more earthy focus. This smells like a child ran and rolled around on the grass covered in spring dew. I really like it overall I just think the grass note is a bit too heavy.

This one is tough! I really loved the scent. It's gorgeous, and makes me nostalgic for spring and summer days from my childhood where the grass is wet with a fresh rainstorm, but the sun is coming back out, and you know there's a rainbow somewhere. However, the longevity leaves room to be desired.

I love how differently everyone interprets this fragrance. To me, it’s summer as a kid in the 90s in a bottle. It perfectly captures hose water, sunscreen, and playing in the grass after a swim with a hint of incoming thunderstorm. The most perfect perfume I’ve ever smelled.

i completely fell in love with this scent, and wasn't expecting it to be a wearable fragrance for me rather than just an art piece. to me, steamed rainbow smells like a freshly filled rubber kiddie pool on a hot summer day. and sunscreen. it is such a beautiful nostalgic scent that i will love wearing in the summertime!!

I can't stop smelling the sample, but also can't stop thinking how much I don't want to wear it. It's an experiential, conceptual fragrance. It makes me think of marvelling at large man-made industrial structures: steam, concrete, chemicals, strangely high pressure and static-y atmosphere. Could perhaps smell intriguing on a man or a certain kind of woman, but it would not make me feel bonita.

Smells like pavement immediately after the rain stops, but the dark clouds still hover low and you can smell the muggy moisture and electricity in the air. Wet green leaves, the neighbor's flower garden, a thick stillness after the wind stops dead. I am gobsmacked at how this scent perfectly captures that distinct post-storm warmth and dampness. It's very impressive, but the minerality keeps me from wanting to actually wear it.

This scent is the television, off to the side of a living room dance party with only a few people left upright, others passed out. It's 3:43am and a remix of Mark Farina's Dream Machine is playing. Only, the TV is just black & white static spinning endlessly.

to my nose this smells exactly like relique d’armour by oriza l legrand (damp carrots freshly pulled out of the earth) then as it dries down i can pick up on a smell of humid air or water vapor, and maybe a clean pool. it’s fresh & inoffensive but nothing like what i was hoping for. 7/10

Wet pavement after a storm, humid air, and a hint of childhood nostalgia. This smells like watching Stranger Things, but also the time plumbers repiped my house in the dead of summer.

Анонім

this smells like being in a hot spring in the middle of a rainforest and theres seashells scattered at the bottom

Анонім

Almost like Eidiseis from Aesop without the cumin. You don’t need both.

Definitely unique but I think it's not as liminal and nostalgic as people are saying. Very grassy, I barely get steam or air at all. Not unpleasant though.

I wish I could like this! Imitates that heavy ozone smell in a pretty impressive way. Unfortunately, to my nose, that smell coming from a human just feels musty. Less unpleasant in the heat outside than in an air-conditioned building, and became more tolerable as the hours weakened it and it mixed with my natural skin scent. Sometimes I smell it and think I got a whiff of some note somewhere I might like, but whatever it is is always overshadowed by the must. Like you put potpourri in the washing machine by accident. Lots of people said this made them remember playing around in the summertime as a kid, but the only memory it brought back for me was the time our basement flooded when I was 6. Maybe I'll spray a little around the house sometime for atmosphere, but sadly not wearable on me. On my drive home it started raining and the air was pretty dang close (although obviously not synthetic-smelling like Steamed Rainbow) which gave me a deeper appreciation for it. Made me feel less self-conscious about wearing the fragrance, as it blended in better with the environment. Perhaps in the (distant) future I'll try this again on a stormy day. Sorry to my coworkers for having to smell me this way 💔

Petrichor, cigarette smoke, flowers mixed with sweet 00's musk perfumes in the mix. This is nostalgic, smells like going out in the summer when we were young and the world was bright.

Steamed Rainbow really does smell like steam! And a little shimmer around it. Like the showers next to a swimming pool on a hot day. A little bit of a perfumey citrus breeze, and that distinctly misty/steamy synthetic note. A few minutes in, I get something a little different: a prickle of green, something herbal, something gray. Feels like shade, damp, maybe grass poking up through wet concrete. Still backed up by a sparkle of sunny citrus. It's pleasant and creative, but it's also faint to the point of being almost unsmellable. Not quite a dud, but definitely "minimalist" and barely-there.

This is one of the most liminal fragrances I’ve ever smelled. If I had to imagine what the pool rooms smelled like, it would be exactly this. A lot of sharp notes up front of greenery and ionone off gassing; very reminiscent of aquatic plastics. It then dries down into a powdery yet comforting softness. One of the most fun and imaginative fragrance samples I’ve ever had.

This is a complex fragrance with a lot of contradicting facets. In the opening, it has a bright and effervescent quality which runs counter to an immediate plastic and chemical quality (which reminds me a little of shoe polish or nail polish remover). If I had to try to paint a visual scene with this, I would describe it as a summer day outside, where the hot pavement is steaming from fresh rain, and the lawn has been freshly mowed. There are elements that remind me of a plastic water hose, and some astringent/minty qualities, which blend in with my imaginings of the lawn. A lot of people have said it reminds them of running through sprinklers, or laughter and children playing (basically happy summer memories). I don’t get that here. In fact, it’s modern and somewhat sterile (again, due to the minty and chemical qualities). This to me is unisex but definitely masculine leaning. It is probably more for summer. I was really curious about this scent but I don’t find it wearable personally. It’s a very unique concept though and I can appreciate the originality.

The first spray of this in the morning is my favourite part of the day. Such a unique, specific bloom of summery aquatic scents -- like running through a mushroom fountain in a park on a hot day. So evocative and unique and lovely, I just wish it LASTED!! It dries down very quickly to a very light, pleasant fresh linen scent on me, but it fades so fast

Анонім

Very uplifting ozonic aquatic floral type of scent and immediately brought me back to childhood, but also immediately reminded me of the back rooms specifically that one room where it looks like the sky with the pink houses in the grass. I feel like that it would smell exactly like this honestly it is wearable, but you have to embrace it.

Анонім

I love this! It smells Iike washing your car outside. It’s clean and reminiscent of water hose with cold water pouring over your head. It dries to a light floral skin scent. Kind of can’t believe there isn’t an aldehyde note.

Анонім

What an amazing opening! I love it— humid but sharp. Playing in the sprinkler on a hot day. Too bad it’s gone in a flash, and on my skin it becomes a straight up violet/almond blossom perfume within minutes.

Анонім

Everyone who says that it reminds them of childhood summers spent playing in the hose is right! But just like those summers, it's an experience that's fleeting. Like summer hose water, it evaporates before nap time. Luckily, the notes it leaves behind - sweet violet is most of what I get - create a nice enough mild skin scent.

edit: I love the SMELL. if it projected at all, i would buy a full immediately. but I can't justify the price RAGHHH i've heard people describe it as nostalgic; water sitting in a hose, the smell of a pool, steam after a storm. I can see it from the initial spray, I get a sort of plasticky smell. like floats that have been sitting in a pool overnight, exposed to the morning heat. it doesn't last long :( it kind of does actually remind me of the smell of damp, painted concrete, like in an old screen-in porch. I just can't say it smells really nostalgic the projection is just not it. I could see myself buying a full bottle if I didn't have to bury my nose in it to smell anything
