Gentlemen Only

Not a youthful scent. More suited for 35+ age group but very classy and a more summery version of Gentleman Eau de Toilette Intense without the Iris and less green. The Intense I love but feels more winter into spring and fall into winter (transitional) scent and this one is more summer. Not a ton of people wearing this so you will stand out but I could see this not getting a ton of compliments. Just a really nice summer office fragrance. Not sure I want a full bottle at this point, but the price makes me think, lol

Great office friendly, everyday work fragrance. It's mild, minty citrusy, something like lime and then it gets slightly powdery. For me.. it's 90% HUGO MAN by BOSS. That slightly oceanic blue transparent bottle. They're just almost identical. I've got them both and I can barely tell which is which. Edited: I've just tried them both at the same time and let them settle. The Hugo man is louder and a little bit more youthful. The givenchy is milder more mature like.

Elegant , sophisticated subtle and fresh . Crisp clean pastel colour shirt Nothing to prove , composed confidence. Perfect scent of a confident gentleman that doesn't need attention. The fact the sillage is intimate is proof that this scent is for himself and only the privileged, can get close enough to smell it on him . If platinum egoiste makes a statement in a important business setting, Gentleman only whispers quietly but assertively that he is in complete control. No sugary vanillas or Eau du Sausage elixir du extrait du adventus bollox here ... Move along soyboy , nothing to see here 7/10

Sickly man made chems

Im glad Gentleman Only EDT is finally in the 4.0 range. Its very nice, its an all year fragrance thats fresh but has hints of smoke & woods. Yet excels best in summer/spring. Im surprised the accords list wood & smoke so high because to me this is citrus dominant scent first & foremost. Mandarin & the pink pepper are very powerful & lead the fragrance; Im also surprised the violet note is voted so low because its quite potent to my nose. Birch is gently used here, with only hints of it, followed by faint smoky incense. There's a mild sweetness but nothing offensively sweet like many modern releases. Im also pleased to report for such a fresh scent it has incredible performance (atleast my 2025 bottle does). Its almost icy, due to the tart mandarin & pink pepper mixed with the smoky incense; the illusion of an iced cologne. Overall, this is truly a sleeper hit that takes the modern mens perfumery & tweaks it enough to let it stand alone. Very pleased!

Nice profile, especially if you don't have anything like it. Unfortunately that's not the case with me, as I own bentley black, aoud violet, and brioni EDP. Bentley is a little more citrus forward, while aoud violet has that subtle oud, so they are not 1 to 1. GO is a bit more powdery than both, but all three focus on violet leaf as their backbone. Overall a solid fragrance, just redundant in my collection and I regret the blind buy. But I do think it's superior to Bentley black, so likely I will keep GO and give BB as a gift. Longevity is surprisingly decent at around 7 hours on my skin which I wasn't expecting considering all the complaints of lack of performance.

excellent if you like woody fragrances. If you liked the idea of Fahrenheit Cologne but not the execution, try this one, it's what Fahrenheit Cologne should've been.

So good. It has that perfect clean vetiver, which gives you that shower sensation, but it also has that woody, beautiful ending. Projection: 5 hours on my skin, 9 hours layering it with other fragrance (monocline). Sillage: a meter from me for 1 hour. Then, second skin. With layering it's not pretty different. Smell: 10/10. Cleanest and most elegant freshy i've ever smelled. It's like... a brand new white shirt from Rochas or something nice like that. Final decision: 9.1/10. Elite.

This was pushed back behind all the other Givenchy fragrances at Macys and the woman behind the counter looked surprised when I asked to test it, her response was “Oh, this one. I forgot we had this.” And surprisingly… It’s the highest quality fresh/clean scent in the whole store. Out of everything behind the counter from all brands, this is proper. Let me paint you a picture, if Channel Egoist Platinum is what an affluent individual would wear to important work or formal events, this is what they would wear on the weekend. Relaxed, but still respecting the structure of your heritage and professional life, so clean that you can hear the curtains gently blowing in the summer breeze as you roll up your lenin cuffs and pack your bag for a day at the beach. It’s a stunning fragrance, the cleanest out of the lot.

The reviews for this fragrance are generally underwhelming. I think I know why...I've had this masterpiece from when it was launched and I've had it again in a more recent formulation. If you have recently (last 2-3 years) bought this my suggestion is this..give it 3-4 sprays after you open it and put it away for AT LEAST 1 month. Come back to it and try again. The fragrance will come alive and will have much more depth and longevity. It will smell identical to the original formulation albeit a bit more laid back. Prada l'homme has a very similar vibe and gets all the hype but this is on another level and much more sophisticated imo. Let me have your thoughts.

Smells like Bleu and Prada L'homme had a baby. I like it!!

This is nice but it's not amazing. It has some problems. The smell is masculine but not dated. It's a barbershop fragrance. Fresh and clean vibes. But imo it's not well rounded enough. It needs to be more woody. It needs more presence. That could be due to a lack of performance maybe. A lack of projection. Just seems like if it was more woody it would be more balanced. However I get what it is as a barbershop fragrance 💈 Smell wise it's very classic and classy, but as you collect more bottles and your nose gets more mature this one starts to become more basic It's an everyday runner type of fragrance. Reminds me a bit of boss tonic, like a better version of Boss tonic. Also reminds me somewhat of like an old spice aftershave type of deal. I liked it enough to get a full bottle, but after a few years with it it doesn't wow me as much. I do appreciate it though It's a dumb reach clean casual scent. Again very masculine, but the poor performance will turn a lot of people off A great office or casual scent. Great for running errands or to a doctor's appointment kind of setting. You will come across masculine and pleasant to most people. But still youthful. Serious but not too serious. Most people will enjoy this. I'm just not convinced people would smell you because of the poor performance I would say ages 25 and up could pull it off A very nice scent, but subpar performance scent-7/10 value-4/10 versatility-6/10 performance-4/10 overall-5/10

Violet is perfectly blended here and makes this fragrance timeless. I think, I am a sucker for violet in parfums - review based on the old bottle - not sure if it got reformulated with the new box design.

I think this one is if not best, its one of the top 5 ever created. Yeah its seductive, alurring or bla bla but first one this one is really unique. Easy to like, impossible to dislike, possible to love. Its far away from todays blue, green or aquatic fragrances. I didnt meet one woman or a girl which dont like or which said ok. Everyone likes, or loves this one. I also can understsand as a man why woman love this fragrance. So, i just dont want talk about this fragrance because they discontunied, like most amazing fragrances. (Adg Essenza/Profumo, Ysl Libre, Bottega Vanetta Series, Zegna Uomo/Shangai, Narciso Rodriguez) and which hard to remember now. And im just talking about fresh fragrances now. In example, gio essenza has more than 6 hour room filling projection, and its not sharp like sauvage or cheap dupes. Profumo also discontunied and profumo sells like chewy gum. So why? When profumo relased why this company f.cked up amazing essenza with unreal perfomance. Now profumo users why theh f.uckd profumo with new unnecessary flankers. Yeah, really why?. Ok come again to gentlemen only, its not about for just gentlemans. Everyone can use this fragrance everytime. Believe me you will feel unique smell when your first spray, it will make you feel more handsome with manly smell. This one is day-time and four season fresh version of ysl nuit, the one edp, herod, layton. Now they discontunied, you should to use some of green, blue, aquatic fragrances which smells boring. Firstly you should use which fragrance makes you feel better, dont use fragrance for people if you dont like fragrance, if you feel out of comfort then no one like you and they say heeyy youre smelling good. You know fragrances, and you deserve that but you should want best compliments, not most compliments. Much friendly. Ok. Givenchy. Im not your market maker or advertiser If one of them, i will use this fragrance. This fragrance advertise himself when its smelling. Still impossible to understand why this fragrance still not have clone or dupe which clones aventus more than 200 times. Im livin in Turkiye, so one of my foot pressing to Europe, and another one to Asia. We have too much dupe brands with some of eally good qualities, i tried to find gentlemen only clones and as i thought its not smooth and addictive like this one. One of the best fragrance ever created. Maybe best one for summer time dating or seduce. Turkiyede bu parfumu goren olursa bana mesaj yazsin.

Was my first ever givenchy scent gifted by my grandad for having secured my first apartment. Sweet 18. Upon realising that this scent is now 12 years old, I had a minor panic attack, my mind hasn’t left 2012 in all honesty. Cannot believe we are entering 2026 in a few weeks. 2026!! Madness. Im going to buy another bottle just to have on the shelf and reminisce, although i resent the new bottle design resembles a man wearing a corset. Damn I miss the 2010s I’d give up everything i own to go back and talk to my grandad one last time.

This one right here started my addiction to fragrances and was one of my college years' best fragrance to wear. ( with Invictus) Got as a gift and i still remember the amazement i felt from the smell back in 2013. Everyone around me liked it and i kind of felt it still smelling on me after long college days as a intimate skin scent, though i always sprayed 5-6 times before going out. After these years i moved on but owning A Givenchy Gentleman and Gentleman Society full collection, i decided to give it a try once again and i can assure they changed scent formula and it lost a key layer i was getting after wearing 1hr.

A really nice clean and fresh scent! You may want to overspray a bit with this one because it doesn't project well or last long. I won't buy again, but it was a great intro into freshies for me!

This is amazing, really masculine, fresh, clean, a little sweet, it's like a mix of Prada l'homme and Bleu if that makes sense. Too bad it's performance is not that great, a couple hours worth of moderate projection then it's a skin scent for another couple hours. Despite bad performance it's a solid one at it's price.

I'm shocked this only has a 4.0/5.0; it must be due to its departure from its original DNA. However its more shocking because similar fragrances like YSL myslf edp & Percival PDM were clearly inspired by Gentleman Only EDT (take away the lavender from Percival & cut the sweetness in half of Myslf & viola you have Gentleman Only EDT!) This fragrance is amazing & has an icy quality to it, sorta like when it's cold outside & you breath through your nose, that's Gentleman Only EDT, the smoke note while listed high is only delicately present. This fragrance is only slightly sweet, but expertly made., definitely a great warm weather scent, but easily year round thanks to the slight icy smoky quality to it.. moderate longevity & sillage. ..crisp & can be worn on all ages. Only negative is the givenchy beauty u.s.a customer support is TERRIBLE, So purchase from reputable discounters or outside u.s.a. This easily deserves to be in the 4.2 plus range ranking.

So In a nutshell This is a soapier / sharper Prada l’homme Which is not a bad thing

One of givenchys best ever creations in my opinion and now I cant get it anywhere. Absolutely stunning fragrance, such a fantastic smell. Project's brilliantly but only lasts about an hour or 2 on my skin then disappears. But it's so worth buying because it's smell is so unique and beautiful, just carry some with u in a pocket atomiser.

Not sure if I bought bad patch but I can hardly smell this scent you need to be one of those German shepherd to smell it.

a bit generic but not to a detriment, reliably masculine

The only fragrance I have a back up bottle of. I'm even seriously thinking of getting another - just in case. I bought this running through an airport duty free to Bali and the fragrance sales woman recommended it for the heat and humidity - she was spot on. Worked perfectly for me in a white tee or linen shirt day or night out. My original bottle is half full and just seems to get stronger all the time. Perfect for older gents like myself, perfect office scent and extremely versatile. Goes for $99 @ 100ml where I am so it's extremely well priced IMHO. Think Versace Pour Homme except better in every way.

Recently bought a batch from 2023.04, horrible performance for the 50 euros paid, I don't know if anything will change over time, but with a longevity of 2 hours maximum, it doesn't even matter how it smells.

The best office scent ever. It goes nice with a polo shirt with a rolex watch. Very classy.
