In thinking of the "cleanest" smelling fragrances I own, this is probably it. It's somewhat delicate and floral, but not feminine. It's a much more mature, office friendly scent that is an exceptional value. I do not get Galloway or any of the Artisan frags that people seem to be picking up on. I do not have anything in my arsenal that I would say is similar, and that's fine with me. I continue to be amazed by Lalique and their ability to come out with outstanding niche-level fragrances that are super affordable (and obviously high quality bottles). I personally feel you could wear it anytime the occasion is appropriate.
If you expect something like galloway you will be dissapointed… galloway far far far superior this is cheap piece of 💩💩💩
Beautiful musky white pepper cardamom and wood. I prefer it in high heat. Have never gotten a compliment on it though. My friend said it reminded him of a dentists office. It is similar to PDM Galloway but far from a replacement. Galloway is much sweeter and more calming. I bought this because I liked Galloway so take it from me when I say that if you like Galloway, you should buy Galloway. I have however come to like this scent very much though.
Can't really smell any distinguishable notes, just a blend which is kind of white floral + an unpleasant note which almost smells like sweat. Dont't like this at all.
Cooling, gentlemanly and fresh, but not lightweight in anything but performance.
Lalique White is a very decent option when the heat gets proper sweltering. It kicks off with a sharp, sour tamarind and citrus blast that cools you down instantly, with zero modern sweetness in sight. The best bit is the drydown—after a while on the skin, it smells exactly like a proper, expensive lead pencil. You get that clean, dry graphite and wood vibe mixed with some white pepper. It’s not going to absolutely blow your socks off, but it's incredibly good value for money and a proper bargain.
Lalique and smelling niche and expensive just go hand in hand. Single handedly defeating the purpose of some niche houses over there
Lalique White is a delicate, light, airy, well balanced scent. To me it gives a strong impression of dry pencil shavings, with a slightly soapy, clean, and white pepper edge. It has creamy, peppery, powdery, and woody facets, that are light, and almost refreshing, but not in a typical freshie way. The cedar comes through in a dry, clean way, with a creamy warmth. Quite a unique fragrance, and one to be smelled to appreciate. Great for wearing with a clean shirt, and office safe too. But also not too formal to wear around the home or out and about in the day at weekends. This isn't really an evening, date, or winter fragrance. Longevity isn't extensive, so you may have to reapply throughout the day, but you should get a few hours out of it, although your mileage may vary. However it's worth reapplying, as it's a beautiful and well balanced fragrance. Another gem from Lalique and an absolute bargain at current prices.
Maybe I got the wrong sample in the tester bottle, but the closest analogy I can think of is a toilet freshener. It gets better when the top notes evaporate, but the initial impression is not the best.
An obligatory oversprayer this one, the weakest of sauces. But as with all Lalique fragrances, well blended and a scent that smell far better than its price tag would suggest. If there was a candidate for an intense version though, this is it.
The scent is a 10 for me but performance is a 1. I dont need a fragrance to last forever but at least stay around till I get in my car.
One of the most intriguing fragrance I've ever smelled. The tamarind here is so carefully dosed that instead of getting a sour soup explosion, you get creamy, therapeutic sophisticated scent. Something about this, whenever I smell it, I can't help but to think of an expensive white robe. This is unique and I don't think most folks will appreciate it.
This one needs to be experienced to be appreciated: it's unlike anything in my collection, and I love it! I recently acquired a 4.2oz bottle of vintage 2016 juice in a trade. This starts out with heavy pepper and citrus and an odd tart sweetness (I'm assuming this is an accord created by the interaction of Lemon leaf mixing tamarind note because that's what it smells like), as it dries down, that sweetness evaporates and leaves a fresh citrus, hints of pepper, cedar and clean musk smell. It almost reminds me of a masculine version of Glossier You. I can't comment on the performance of modern batches, but mine lasts a very long time compared to what some reviewers are experiencing ( I'm getting 6+ hours on skin). It stays relatively close to the skin for most of its duration, but I can definitely smell it for hours and people close by will be able to detect it as well. This is a great scent for those that want to smell clean and interesting without being too loud or clamoring for attention. It smells fantastic! I worked my way through most of a decant of Galloway before gifting it to a friend, and while I do see some parallels (and I do absolutely believe PDM took inspiration from White) they are not the same scent by any means. This will be in rotation this spring and summer and I will update with a full review soon.
The scent is good, not similar by any means to Galloway parfum de marly, galloway is much better. Longevity and sillage are so bad, it lasts only 30min and then I barely could smell it as skin scent.
I immediately get that sharp bergamot and white pepper. This is like half chypre. It stays very dry and soapy clean with some woods and light white musk. This is a man’s man fragrance, but not over the top like Lalique Pour Homme. This stays more friendly. Almost refreshing, but too dry and peppery for that.
I love it! This is for those (or people around) the: "aaah!!! your 20 sprays of Amouage give me a headache" Very clean, very soft... is basically the softest fragrance I have in my small collection and one of the safest frags I have encountered over the years. New batches, might be just my nose, are weak?! I barely detect anything after 1 hr or so... Still, a clean, soapy(ish), summer vibe, happy and modest fragrance. Wish it lasted longer somehow. Reminds me of Armani White He... back in the days, safest school frag.
Very nice smell but unfortunately for 30 min max only. Good for bedtime or in-house usage.
This one is interesting. Imagine if you took Lalique Equus and traded the sequoia wood for citrus. Instead of a woody warm-spicy, it becomes a very peppery and zingy fresh-spicy -- perfect for the spring and summer. One of the more complex warm weather fragrances I own, I look forward to sporting it once the winter is over. Lalique White has been around for a good long while, but I believe it deserves more attention than it gets today. Longevity is honestly decent for a summer freshie, the spices carry it for a good long while. If you love Equus and wanted something to wear when the cool season is over, here it is. Signature scent worthy, you could totally make this an everyday wear.
Despite the price, there is nothing cheap about Lalique White scent-wise. Light and fresh. To me this is like a luxurious bar of soap. I also pick up a slight tea-note and a little lavender, but that could be the lemon leaf and the violet going together. This is perfect for work and everyday wear. Amazing dummy reach. Will not offend anyone and hits the sweet spot between young and mature. Not sure about the performance. So far it sits nice and long on my skin, but I have no idea about the projection. How lucky then that you get 125 ml for 255 SEK (about 24€) and can spray the heck out of it. Will definitely check out more stuff from Lalique and get a sample of Galloway. Might have to gatekeep this cheapie.
I have to say, I’m a big fan of Lalique in general, and I have many of their fragrances in my collection, starting with Encre Noir and all its flankers, which are amazing woody, vetiver scents at a great value. Despite not being a new release, Lalique White is a new discovery for me, and I was pleasantly surprised by how good it is. It’s not often talked about by fragrance influencers, even those who usually praise Lalique fragrances. In my opinion, this is a gorgeous everyday scent. It’s fresh, yet somehow intriguing thanks to its subtle musky undertones. It smells high-quality and natural, especially compared to many other fresh fragrances on the market that can feel a bit synthetic or cloying in their attempt to be long-lasting. Lalique White isn’t a powerhouse in terms of longevity, but it stays with you for a good number of hours while remaining smooth, natural, and very pleasant to wear. As a side note, I love partner dancing, and selecting fragrances for these occasions is important: we’re moving, we’re warm, and we’re close to someone, so I want something fresh, pleasant, and never cloying. Lalique White works perfectly in this context and will definitely be included in my rotation for social dancing.
This literally smells like a sugary lemon musk with just a sprinkle of powder, it's quite unique and addictive smelling on initial spray. Perfect for when you get sick of wearing the usual sweet, blue, smokey, tobacco oud styles every day. Super cheap on-line deals of Lalique White available. When parfums de marly showed an interest to make an expensive version of this you know this impressed somebody important. I would never pay the mental prices for Galloway. There's nothing wrong with this. The scent profile is too simplistic anyway to justify 200 euro!

The fragrance is very well blended, and the scent quality is excellent, especially for the price. The scent is good, but it has a barbershop and sink cologne vibe. I imagine Lalique used one of the ready made cologne formulas that are probably shared among French perfumers, added their own touch, and produced it at higher quality. That is the best description. It is not bad, but the similarity to barbershop and sink colognes may create a psychological sense of cheapness, even though the quality is high and the scent itself is excellent. After it cools down for a few minutes, it becomes better. There is no sharp citrus or green bite as I expected from the ingredients. It feels fairly balanced between citrus and the other components, especially violet, white pepper, and some other notes. Overall breakdown 45% citrus 20% violet flower with a powdery character 15% white pepper (close to black pepper but softer) 15% fruity nutty notes from chestnut and tamarind 5% unidentified notes In short, if you want a fresh fragrance in a new way, different from common fresh scents, this suits you. If your priority is pure freshness and cooling, it is not the best option. 7.85/10
It's meh greenish scent. Good price but have to overspray. I probably won't buy it.
Very non offensive, clean smelling, mass appealer Perfect for casual days, work or gym
Exceptionally well made refreshing citrussy creamy scent the violet here and drydown I adore it it captures the vibes and senses of a clean relaxed laid-back comfortable in his skin man only downside is the below average projection but you can re-apply 125ml for 25$ is a steal Lalique keeps delivering top notch goodies Presentation / Atomizer (Good) Scent Quality / Uniqueness 4 Longevity / Performance 3 (5H+) Versatility / Occasions 4 Price Point 5 Final Verdict: 4
Boring generic citrus, though it has some interesting herbal elements as well, kinda smells like 4711.
Opens with sour citrus, then transition into peppery notes and settle with powdery soft musk smelling. Subtle fragrance, calming and soothing. 3 sprays after evening shower and tuck-in inside your blanket and watch a netflix show with your loved ones. Like a very calming, light and airy powdery talcum. For the price, I ain't complaining.
مصالحے دار، زیرہ ،املی فریش پاؤڈری
There should be another selection in Fragrantica's perfume rating. It should be "I don't care about this". Which is what I'm feeling right now. This fragrance is not that bad, but not that good also. The "ok" rating has a connotation of being positive only while IDC has a good side while also having a bad side. Better yet, ok should be just neutral. On with the fragrance. Very similar to Artisan Pure. If you know Artisan Pure, then you will find that this is in the same DNA as that, as well as, 4711, Neroli Portofino, Bright Neroli, etc. even though this doesn't share similar notes with those mentioned. It's kinda redundant to own them all at the same time. Longevity is average. Don't overspray as this has a tendency to be cloying. I really wanted this for the longest time but I'm a bit disappointed.
Smells old-fashioned, like someone's grandfather. I think the musk + pepper combo here is to blame for that. The same old timey muskiness is in Acqua di Gio EDT, which again will make you smell like an 80 year old. EDIT: The drydown an hour in smells amazing. The musk, pepper and woods have mixed amazingly. I prefer this greatly to Acqua di Gio. Very reinvigorating. This lasted more than 9hrs on my skin. So pretty good actually. Not my taste, but it is a good fragrance if you enjoy these types.
