Right out of the bottle, industrial smoke and burnt leather hits the nose HARD. I found it unpleasant for the first 30 minutes. Where was patchouli? Then, that warm, sweet patchouli began to appear and hours later, in the dry down, it was gentle, soft, warm and beautiful. For me, getting past the initial shock of garage masculinity is just not worth it, especially with so many lovely patchouli fragrances available today.
My SOTD Really love this! Perfect for camping and long outdoor walks X
????? Thats what i thought when I smelled this. But hey if u wanna smell like olives im not gonna judge.
Whoa. 100% BBQ sauce smell! Very strong and smoky. Not for me.
Opening is like a violently peaty scotch. Some latex or lighter fluid vibes, but a decent campfire smell. Shifts to a slightly quieter, dark incense smell after several hours.
I flipped flopped on this fragrance like crazy. First time I sprayed it i was having trouble understanding how anyone could like this. It smelled burnt, sour, and one sided. A week later I tried it again. I still smelled the burnt leathery smell but I could then understand the appeal. It lasted soooo long on my skin and clothes. The dry down is where this one shines to me. It becomes way more soft and mass appealing after a little bit of rest on your skin. I ended up really liking this one. Would not buy a full bottle just because I dont think a lot of people would like this one.
Patchouli 24 is medical to me. Perfume is the art that makes memory speak. I’m transported inside my mind back to childhood pediatrician offices, there’s tropical fish painted on the walls as I’m receiving shots to begin another season of public education. They’re giving me a sticker for all my troubles with Pokémon artwork on it. I’m waiting in a strange place with terrazzo floors for my teeth to be drilled into at the dentists. My childhood dentist office was quite mid-mod with an angular appearance, wooden beams, and a central feature made of all glass windows that looked out over a small tropical garden. I always went home with my extracted teeth carried safely away in tiny plastic treasure chests. Maybe I have to let my bottle sit or I’ve received some defunct batch. This smells like the smoke of an aged building and the crisp smell of an antiseptic spray, numbing shots, alcohol pads, maybe harsh cleaning products, and the smell of gauze dressings and rubber gloves. Theres a trace of mint and a sharp bitter flavor. I don’t find patchouli here, but amazed that for some reason my neural pathways are being enticed in this way.
intense prickly musk, animalic, a brief glimpse of sharp mint. too overwhelming and one-note for my liking.
smells like STRAIGHT bbq and i love smoky perfumes this is so bad
A very sexy fragrance—dark, woody and smoky—long-lasting—10/10
Straight up Barbecue Sauce. Bears a strong resemblance with Memory Motel by Une Nuit Nomade but I prefer this one.
Smoky patchouli...
Oh my goodness, this perfume is so good! Love this ❤️
One of the best Hidden Gems not talked about that much. Has very long lasting power. 12-24 hours reported Do not test on paper, test this one on your skin if you can. When the time comes, please bury me with this. This is one of the most enjoyable Insanely addicting fragrances on planet earth 🌎.
Could not believe how good this smells. Tried MFK, Byredo, Killian, PDM, Xerjoff, Initio, everything from Penhaligon's and creed. Nothing from any of the houses above smelled as good as Le Labo Patchouli 24. This is not an ordinary patchouli fragrance. This is Patchouli Perfection. Patchouli done right, in true art form. I have a very very good Patchouli fragrance, one that has 3 different kinds of Patchouli, but this one wins by mile for the smell. I can't believe how good this smells, but the ingredients are so simple. There must be some notes they do not list on their website. I do not see how anyone could not be a Patchouli lover after smelling this. Going to purchase a full bottle tomorrow. Smelling this fragrance puts me into such a good mood. I probably scared one of the employee's, I was enjoying this juice a little too much. It's 5/5/26 12:12 AM Could not get enough of this, it's very addicting. I would classify this as a holy grail fragrance. Nothing on the market smells close to this. The smell is invigorating, and so beautiful, I am honored to be living in a time where this exists. 10/10 Holy Grail Masterpiece Definitely need to explore more from this house.
Horrendous cade oil ""fragrance"" that sticks around forever. If you spray this on POWs, it should be considered a war crime. Zoologist TRex has more nuance than this and that is a medicine + camphor + cade oil bomb. But the camphor was holding that together, since there is no camphor here, the fragrance essentially falls apart. Theres nothing to give it structure. This is just cade oil over and over again.
************************(This one is a Holy Grail Fragrance)************************ I was wrong about Blazing Mr. Sam. It blew me away the first time, must have been a fluke, there was a new full bottle today in the store, it did not smell good, like it did the previous time. LE LABO PATCHOULI 24 is very special. It was the only bottle that was almost empty in the store out of all of the Le Labo fragrances that you could smell. This one is pricey and worth every penny. Cost is $340 for a 100 ML bottle, unless you can find it at a discounter. I have smelled this one a lot, but wanted to make sure I found the perfect fragrance and yes I did with Amouage's Library collection with Opus XIV, but today I realized this one is another perfect fragrance. The smell is out of this world. Whoever is responsible for making this DNA needs an award. Pure patchouli, does not smell this good, but this specific, combination of notes, is really something else. I wish I could shake the persons hand who made this. This one might surpass Royal Tobacco, will get back to you with an update. The visceral reaction to this juice, was unreal. I couldn't stop smelling it. The smell is intoxicating, I don't know how to describe it effectively. Almost like a spiritual experience. Some fragrances are great but when you find one like this, that is very consistent and gives you a WOW factor every time your put your nose on it, that's a good sign you have found a FANTASTIC FRAGRANCE, like no other. I tried Grand Soir and Oud Satin Mood, which is a very good fragrance, all the creeds, Amouage Purpose 50, the normal Purpose, Outlands, many of the Amouage offerings, Everything from Killian, Byredo, Mind Games, all the PDM's Haltane was the best one, Ysl Tuxedo and Ysl Babycat, Many of the Xerjoff's, and the various SuperMassive releases. Lot's of these are great, will get you copliments, might smell different on the dry down, but this Le Labo #24 is the Pinnacle of great smelling perfection. I probably don't need the large size but when you find somehting so good like this or Terroni, you really should get a bigger size so you can really enjoy the magic that some of these fragrances can bring to your life. Looks like there is a pure oil form of this one available for sale, I will 100% be getting it if it's still available. There are two stores that have this fragrance in my area. The first one is a department store and there is another smaller store that has basically everything Le Labo makes. When I went to the smaller store, it did not smell as good as the one in the department store. I will be going back to the smaller store to sample Patchouli 24 again. It was raining kind of hard that day. I don't think that would cause a fragrance to smell different. Is it possible that the department store, is making this fragrance differently, adding more of one ingredient, making it a lot more potent? I will find out tomorrow and let you all know. I smelled maybe close to 100 of the best fragrances today out of all the ones listed above and more. This one beat them all. 10/10 Masterpiece Holy Grail Certified. <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< GOD APPROVED >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Reminds me of the smell of laphroaig whisky. Ahhh. That amazing peat. Brilliant fragrance !!!
This is a very addicting scent. Highly recommend you getting your nose on this one. Definitely deserves the status of "Legendary".
Honestly my favorite perfume in my collection since I first purchased in 2023. It oddly reminds me of the ride in the Epcot ball when I was a kid. There is a very heavy smoke smell but in the best way possible. Very difficult to describe but definitely not patchouli. I also love layering this with Vanille 44 and The Noir. This is not a safe blind buy definitely sample. I am a woman that prefers masculine scents.
Smells like slightly flour dew earth, nothing like patchouli
While I liked it the first time around all I smell the second time is burned wood and a lot of animalic-earthy patchouli. For me this is a masculine scent. The styrax makes it a bit sharp too and adds a bit of an old church vibe.
Love at first sniff. patchouli done right. Masterpiece worthy. 10/10 for me.
Sipping Laphroaig in a room filled with vanilla incense, vanilla pods lit on fire, slowly smouldering, smoke billowing off until it turns into vanilla charcoal. The audacity to make something this literally smokey. Spraying this in public I wouldn't be surprised if people thought you had been camping, sitting in front of a campfire for days not having a chance to change, or you might walk into a room and have people asking if something is burning, wondering around sniffing the air trying to find the source. The vanilla is a really good high quality vanilla, if you are looking for a masculine leaning vanilla and don't mind smelling like you escaped a house fire, might be worth a try. At least it's unique and has great silage, staying power is eternal I'll give them that.
the smokiness is so beautiful. i hear a lot of criticism involving the smoky funk, but thats what sucks me in.
Smells like a sweaty wood and leather shop.
Hippy fourth of july bbq that becomes a nice creamy chai. Gorg
The initial scent was a funk. But after 5 minutes, it really reads custard and then Christmas spice which I would never complain about. Very Christmas spicy (not Christmas sweet) and very pleasant. Projects and bubbles indoors. Outdoors it really blends in well. It isn’t strong in patchouie much. Maybe it’s the birch bark. I would chew on black birch bark for fun: it has a wintergreen flavor so this scores big memory points for me. Dry down: very patchouli. Herbal medicine shop. Still like it though. I think I’ll pair it with promise by FM
If you’re looking to get rid of your bottle- hmu! [email protected] I LOVED this weird scent upon first smelling it and playing around with guessing its notes. So far in my perfume journey I’ve been more of a basic girl drawn to creamy skin scents, but this one is so unique & the fact it is so polarizing makes me like it even more. Eager to add a bottle to my collection.
I have suddenly decided that I love a good BBQ in addition to Comme des Garçons' Black and Fir of the Dark!
