Made an account just to talk about this. The fragrance that started my perfume journey. I bought my original bottle a few years ago on holiday and fell in love with the scent, continuing to ware it. Since then I’ve gone through one bottle and halfway through my second. It’s such a weird fragrance for something I can get at the drugstore, the clashing notes of citrus and spice makes it stand out. With the combination of notes it somehow makes it a versatile daily fragrance. I’ve wore it during the day, at night, at work, meeting with friends, etc. Starts off with sage and citrus. It then dries down to a warmer spice and woody smell. I also get weird berry notes when the fragrance is on its last legs which I find interesting. I’m probably smelling the grapefruit note but I don’t know. I wish the formula would last longer because I find that it only lasts on my skin for a few hours (either that or I just get used to it). Pretty good projection especially when it’s warmer. I tend to wear it in autumn or at night, which feels the most appropriate for it. I know it’s an edt but I wish there was an edp just so it could be a little more potent. I love the design of the bottle too. To me most “men’s” fragrances have the same bottle design, of a rectangle with some writing on it in a baby bottle. Emblem stands out. The company’s logo has been extruded into an opaque black pillar, which is one of the reasons I initially picked it up. The bottle design is easy to grip as you spray because of the groove, but I wish Montblanc would redesign the caps. I personally find it really hard to remove the cap because of how slippery the plastic is. I don’t have any mobility issues but I know that this design would be difficult for those who do. I leave the bottle capped but not fully sealed because of it (which also makes a fun fidget toy because you can spin it around on the sprayer) Despite my issues with it, the pain point come from factors outside of the fragrance itself. I find the fragrance irresistible on me. Especially after about 15 minutes when it truly dries down, I will just sit and sniff my wrists. It’s like crack to me. I think it smells so good and I have others to back me up, because I get so many compliments when I wear it. My go-to, she is that girl to me. I’m obsessed

I fricking love this scent. Its better than the intense and the drydown reminds me of a cool breze at my city at 3am in summer but way dencer. It isnt heavy like lalique encre noir. Its wouldy,light,celery cage. And no it has caracter if yall are wondering that.My only complints are the projection and lasting and yes i know about the intence but it isnt the same its too sweet

Cinnamon-violet, grapefruit, sage, cardamom and cedar (not mentioned but obvious). Lightweight woody floral scent. Clean, fresh, woody, herbal and slightly floral. Honestly, not a bad scent composition. It's appealing second-skin scent but the lasting power is kinda weak, wish it was just a bit stronger. Edit: wore it on skin and I was wondering why I was so familiar with this scent and then BOOM i remmeber: Polo Red. It has such a very similar DNA (grapefruit & sage), hence why the longevity sucks and all, so intresting. This is a much more woodier take on PR.

Me gusta mucho esta fragancia, la he comprado ya unas 5 veces, es mi vieja confiable. En lo personal la considero una fragancia todo-terreno, la suelo ocupar para el dia a dia, pero definitivamente la he ocupado también para citas y si me funciona. Me gusta lo reconfortante que se siente, es una fragancia calentita, elegante, que proyecta seguridad, es fresca, masculina y que además da una vibra nocturna media misteriosa (no se, siento que lo picante aporta en ese sentido) Las unicas cosas malas que tengo que destacar es que se siente algo sintetica y que ademas no esta hecha para destacar sobre otras, sin embargo por el precio que tiene y lo versatil y rica que es yo la recomiendo totalmente, si me ha dado cumplidos, es facil de usar y a la gente le va a gustar. Entiendo que hayan personas que la critiquen porque no es un olor complejo o de estos full llamativos, el gran contra que tiene es de hecho ese, que no va a destacar sobre otros perfumes, aun asi el olor a mi me fascina, lo que mas destaco es lo reconfortante que se siente. Solida fragancia para todo tipo de ocaciones

In my humble opinion, this fragrance is not as good as other Montblanc perfumes like explorer, or anything from the Legend line. I can't pick up any warm notes and I definitely can't smell any cinnamon or tonka, for me this opens very fresh mixed with green notes and herbs but something from this really puts me off unfortunately. Nothing classy or elegant about this, Montblanc legend edp is from far way better and so is Explorer.

Outdated fragrance, all over the place with the notes ,grapefruit sage and cardamom,it's like some used the leftover for a stew the next day, it's been macerating for about three years and it's gone from bad to worse , bottle design is excellent since I'm an mb fan so I display it next to my inks , search further mb range like explorer , 2/10 no one deserves a 1 /10

smells like timberwood old spice scent/deodorant !

This is a classy fragrance. I have applied it with Dunhill Icon and Burberry Summer 2013 (on different pulse points) to get a fantastic, fresh, spicy, and sweet feel.

i got no idea what this cologne is trying to be. i get baited into spraying this in the summer as the opening is very fresh, springlike just for it to settle to something very heavy and vanilla like. wtf

This is super pleasant, likeable and versatile. It's sweet and can be worn all year round except maybe the hot weather. It's a casual dumb reach type of fragrance designed for mass appeal where you know you won't offend anyone. You may even receive some compliments.

-1 million -lite -GPH 2- swap out the tea leaves for violet leaf. -CH man OG - take out the grass and add violet leaf.( i do gotta say when i'm smelling this one.It has a certain je ne sais quoi, it's incredible) This is the best way I can describe Mont blanc, as I'm not very good scent profiles, but I do have a good memory, and i've smelt almost everything.

@fragbo what is the point in buying a fragrance to wear while u are asleep? 😂 Such a ridiculous idea, put it on and go asleep and when u wake up it will be gone. A fragrance for people who wanna just throw their money down the toilet.

I grade this 9/10. Fresh, woody, spicy, slight sweetness. Seductive male fragrance. It's addictive. The tonka, slight cinnamon, and woody notes its what does it for me. Great Fragrance! I'm going to buy another bottle to have a back up.

This fragrance smells good, undeniably masculine but the longevity and projection are disappointing. If Montblanc ever released an Extrait or even an EDP version with an added note to boost its sillage and longevity, I honestly think it could become a bestseller. Right now, though, its lack of performance (and perhaps weak marketing) is what keeps it from being more popular. It’s the kind of scent you’d enjoy spraying at home or before bed, because by morning it’s gone and you’re free to wear something else for the day. For what it offers, the price feels a bit high considering the performance.

phenomenal fragrance, lowkey the best " masculine " fragrance that i have tried, and sadly i have tried most whats on the market around me. its very unique, not offensive and really elegant and sophisticated . im not sure if this is an original creation for the company, but if it is then i think its better off for them to keep making bangers like this one rather than producing overpriced dupes.

I don't know why this fragrance makes me think of plums in syrup. It's sweet and masculine. It's not cloying. It was not in my radar and it surprised me. I have tried fragrances with cardamom and violet but never mixed together. It feels spicy but clean and sweet at the same time. Nice combination.

This fragrance offers reliable everyday wear. Its simple, masculine scent is quite affordable and versatile for casual settings. While not a signature scent that draws attention, it remains pleasant and noticeable. While projection and longevity could be improved, the value is exceptional considering the price point. Rated 6.5/10: a highly accessible fragrance that is budget-friendly.

I've been wearing this for quite a long time to finally come to a solid decision. Decided to purchase it because I liked the drydown. So it's not one of those fragrances which I can't stop sniffing myself after applying, I have to wait till the end to enjoy it. It is synthetic, (duh, it's chemistry). Yet, it's decent. Definitely not exceptional or a showstopper, that's for sure, but I have to be fair and give out what it deserves. Emblem OG is a nice, aromatic/spicy option for rather colder seasons, best for autumn or early spring, however, still can be used in all weather and occasions as it can't be cloying or headache-inducing, even if oversprayed. I have the intense version as well(there are rumours it has been discontinued) and it might be my first successful layering attempt. Lately I have been applying this to my clothes and the other one onto skin and to be honest, the result is electrifying. The technical evaluation parameters are neither totally satisfying nor disappointing, especially considering the price. Maybe I won't purchase again in the upcoming years or have a backup bottle, nevertheless, I will cherish this black gem as long as it widely sprays from that surprisingly performing atomiser.

This fragrance is great! I’ve yet to find a scenario it would fail in, I’ve gotten compliments on it. You can find it for under $50. Atomizer is solid. Bottles nice and sleek. Can’t complain. All around banger. A staple of my collection.

It’s like a blue fragrance but sweet

It reminds me of 1 million by Paco Rabanne but not as sweet or intense. I rate this one ☝️ a good masculine Frag that I enjoy thoroughly. I like that it’s not too sweet, way more wearable imo Don’t need to spend heaps to smell good that’s what I like about Mont Blanc. Classy, masculine scents made for blokes.

Its a good fragrance with bad parametrs. The opening is synthetic but after few minutes its a nice scent. I really like the sweet/spicy side here. I usually wear it during fall. 6,5/10 overall

overall good fragrance. a very moderate longevity on the weaker side of the spectrum. I would highly recommend as a starter fragrance as this was my starter on and overall a great scent.

Personally I love this fragrance. Underrated and great for spring. Possibly abit overpriced and some people have a hard time getting the cap off with some bottles. Smells amazing and lasts a while if you spray a decent amount. Would recommend spraying 3 x of 4 sprays on clothes as it lasts longer on clothes compared to skin. Overall 8/10

reminds me of my dad. use this a lot whenever i feel sad. absolutely love it.

*Edit 01/08/24* Having worn this several times, I would categorize Emblem more as a 'gourmand' than a fougère On my skin, the baking spices become increasingly prevalent with time It smells good, delicious even, but I'm left ambivalent... Scents that smell edible confuse me 12/06/23 First Pass - Interesting. "Green." Ferns. Pines. Moss 1 Hour Later - More wood. More pine. More moss. 2 Hours Later - Firmly fougère Looking at the build, it's a handful of aromatics with some wood. I don't think I picked out a single note correctly, so either this is expertly blended or my nose took the day off Overall - I think it's hard to execute scents in this category. Despite being a standard, I find the "green" fougère variety often leans too far into cleaning solvent or veers into Glade aerosol for it to be really enjoyable. This one is done well. If you like the fougère variety, you'll find a lot to appreciate here.

Not a bad fragrance, just a little too sweet and generic.

Picked this up because I remember loving it at the beginning of my fragrance journey, but ai never bought it because that was before I knew about discounters. Finally decided to pick it up for nostalgia sake and figured I'd still like it. Being a montblanc fragrance (other than Explorer) I knew it would smell cheap to my fragrance connoisseur nose. It does smell good, but is a lot similar to Abercrombie & Fitch First Instinct (with some added warmth) which I currently have and use as my car scent. Good thing I didn't buy a full bottle because this would have been too redundant. A great cheapie but not necessary by any means.

Was looking for a scent similar to Gucci pour homme II, specifically that warm and cool simultaneously type. This does that well. it does remind me somewhat of Gucci PH II but without the Tea teaves, and some of the other spices. This off of initial impressions is a fantastic everyday dumb reach for when it is warm during the day but cool at night.
