I find this quite weak and non-existent after like 30 minutes. However, I do like it more than. D&G light blue and Moschino I love love which I actually use as a toilet spray. To me, this is just like a body mess you are gonna have to use a heck of a lot of it.
If you remember the early 200’s D&G masculine then this will be reminiscent for you. It’s almost a perfect balance between that and Moschinine Cheap & chic I love love.
smells like something they spray around fancy hotels
Lasts on me whole 30 minutes 😭
reminiscent of Elizabeth Ardeen Green Tea, but with a fresher, lemon peel note. better longevity, too
It’s growing on me. It’s def a fresh scent. You can smell the citrus. I like it for hot days.
This scent feels like a bright, sunny day in the 2000s. It’s very uplifting.
A fresh perfume, the kind that makes you feel polished, clean, and freshly showered. It’s perfect for summer because of the light, airy feeling it gives. Its projection is intimate and it isn’t particularly long-lasting; it lasts around 6 hours on clothing, so I would recommend reapplying if you want to maintain that fresh aura throughout the day. It’s a citrus fragrance, but not the typical sharp, lemony kind. Instead, it leans toward a refined and slightly bitter orange. You do have to enjoy citrus scents to appreciate it, but this is a more elegant, understated citrus rather than a bright, sparkling one. To me, it’s one of those perfumes that brings a sense of calm, it makes you feel good in your own skin, at peace. I imagine the green tea is what adds that fresh, green, slightly herbal touch that makes it stand out. It feels quite unique within its category.
From funny haha giggly and happy to funny peculiar. Opens excitingly, promising the past, then falls into the infernal plastic of the present. The contents of so many old things has gone to the dogs. Here fresh light black tea with bitter orange slices is shrinkwrapped n rendered moot. Funny! Not really. It IS a joke, but it's not Funny. Addendum: OK the plasticky tint feels on second wear a lot less present. The body of the thing is actually fine. But I wish I knew what the strange synthetic whiff I get from so many current modern alleged freshies is. Its not exactly plastic but very near to it. My son apparently cant smell it n thinks this is one of the best things I've recently acquired.
Funny! has undergone a pretty significant reformulation since it’s launch in 2007. Most notably, in today’s formulation the base is more soapy musky than it used to be with a better chypre balance, as I recall. Fortunately, the top and the heart of the perfume is still in great shape - and that’s really what matters the most anyway. The bitter orange in the opening is still stridently bitter and green, reminiscent of the galbanum from No. 19, with a bit of sour citrus fruit and musky oily currants behind it. It immediately perks you up, and makes you pay attention. Then comes the heart both literally and figuratively of Funny!, that wonderfully chipper-and-cheerful peony accord. Bright rosey, a bit heady, citrusy and zesty like jasmine, I’m reminded a lot of Cabaret by Gres in this section of Funny!. There is something a bit different about it thanks to a very gentle woody type facet, that many are referencing as a “green tea accord”, which green tea can have, but it didn’t make me think tea, it made me think wood. Perhaps my imagination is just a bit wound-down today. At the skin scent it is mostly soap musks, but you do detect a little bit of the woods and mosses of the original still holding on for dear life, but only faintly. Funny! is rather simple, but it is very pleasant to smell and it could have just as easily been called Happy!, and it probably should have been. I don’t find much of a sense of humor in the perfume, but I do find plenty of aloof levity and joy. What could possibly be wrong with that?
This IS uplifting! I think I enjoy this more in warmer weather. I get cedar almost immediately and the opening is very citrusy and peppery in cold. Pretty but also nostalgic. Turns greener and I get violet as it dries in. Most noticeable is the cedar lending a dusty facet.
This is a blind buy for me when I asked for something citrussy and clean. At first, I thought I smelled peach and I thought the name of the fragrance is Fuzzy! I like it. It is not overwhelmingly sweet and the tea scent peaks through from time to time. Very refreshing.
I've loved it since it was released. It's the only perfume I buy over and over again, I can never get tired of it. Many people have described it before me: fresh, beautiful and a compliment-getter. ❣️
I bought this in the start of my first year at university, a friend of mine was wearing it, and while out with her, my sister caught a smell of her wearing Moschino funny... we all started talking about how she smelled like a really good clean man. I soon bought it after. I still like this edt... I don't reach for it much anymore, but I think it's great for a wide age range and any occasion.. It's clean, light, airy, not overpowering and makes a fabulous summer refreshing pick me up scent. A great way for feminine people to get more into masculine scent profiles. For the price point the longevity is pretty good and will last me all day.
This was my first real perfume. I love how light and fresh it is. Sometimes a lemon-like smell overpowers but it is a great perfume for people who love fresh scents
For the price you pay, it’s an absolute bargain. This is one me of the perfumes I get compliments on ALL THE TIME. Imagine how surprised people are when they find out the price of this perfume. I love that it doesn’t have that “cheap” almost deodorant kind of smell that fresh perfumes usually have. They really managed to combine a beautiful summer day palette. I honestly disagree that this one is a sister to D&G light blue. Maybe far cousins… and even then, “light blue” is definitely an older cousin. It has the tendency to turn into a stale, sweaty, musty odour after a few hours, almost like unwashed tshirt that was left in a laundry basket for a week. Moschino doesn’t have that. It stays as fresh and clean even after a day of wearing it.
This is in the same ballpark as D&G Light Blue, CK One, or Clinique Happy. Its citrus note is more mild and subdued than D&G Light Blue's citrus but it's still very sharp and the strongest note in the fragrance. I'm just getting 3 notes which make it feel unisex to me; The bitter orange, the green tea, and the cedar. Either I'm anosmic to the other notes or this has been reformulated a bunch of times since it's from 2007 and must have been something different from what I see people reminiscing about in the comments. To me it smells like new glossy magazine pages-- or when you try to smell a sample of a fragrance from a magazine and there's that background note of the ink and paper from the magazine mixed with all the fragrance chemicals. It's cheaper than D&G Light Blue so that's a plus! Edit: I keep getting compliments on this fragrance even though it doesn't seem like anything special to me? I am wondering what fragrance chemicals I am anosmic to that other people are smelling? I never got this kind of reaction from D&G Light Blue so of you like these types of astringent citrus freshies, Moschino Funny! Is turning out to be the better option regarding price and also being a crowd-pleaser.
A very boring and sour freshie. It gets sweeter as it dries down, but in a slightly nauseating way. Not a fan of this combo of notes. Turns plasticky after settling. This one’s headed for the worse, folks!
No wonder it is still in production. It is lovely, timeless. Refreshing but gentle. It is perfect for summer. Hard to imagine a better fit! It is predominantly a green tea scent with beautiful uplifting citrus note and gentle red currant tartness. What I took for bamboo must be cedar plus jasmine and pink pepper. The scent evolves to become more floral with time, with lovely peony and jasmine. The scent is quite complex and expensive smelling. Also natural. It reminds me of Jardins line by Hermes. I think Le Jardin sur le Nil or Jardin Apres la Mousson the most but less unisex and thus more appealing. It is gentle but I feel it around me, so the sillage is fine. 1,5h in and it becomes more floral, still refreshing. 6 hours later and it is still lovely tea lead aroma. The bottle is cute, worth having. It needs to be reapplied if you want it for the evening still. However, the plus side of it - you can change to more evening scent.
Hard not to LOVE this fresh, citrusy, girly and easy to wear scent. Great for summer/daytime occasions and the bottle is really cute. The longevity is OK but definitely a safe blind buy especially if you’re a citrus perfume lover like I am.
Nose Note #286 It's in the same realm with Love Love and DG LB, but different. The citrus is different and there's a slight tea note. But overall it's simple, casual, light and familiar citrus blend. Safe blind buy, just like DG Light Blue
The opening is pure lemonade through and through then it dries down very quickly to a shower gel scent. I would use it to perfume my linens but not on myself.
Yes, longevity and sillage are poor. Other than that, this is just a perfect fragrance for me. The longer I have this, the more I crave it... I don't know what it is about this scent but it just is the loveliest orange scent which is far from the deodorant smell. It just smells delicious and absolutely love it. It is quite light and I get why people may just like it or just feel neutral, but you need to give it time I think.
Moschino Funny! by Moschino was everything to me back in the day. It wasn’t just a perfume … it was my identity in a bottle. My signature scent, my go to for cute outfits, the spritz I reached for before every college hangout, every exciting day, every little moment that mattered. The bottle itself? Adorable. I was obsessed. I used to collect Moschino fragrances like candy, and Funny! was always the crown jewel of that collection. It felt cheerful, flirty, and full of charm, like a splash of happiness with every spray. This was my lucky scent, the one that made me feel like anything was possible. I might not own it anymore, but I’ll never forget the way it made me feel. – Bhavna Darira Chesan
Love this on its own, but it layers so nicely on other fragrances. It adds a spring summer freshness that makes you smell soo nice. I enjoy layering it ON sweet gourmand fragrances.
definitely does not last long, but it is a really cute scent. very citrusy and fresh and you can smell the bitter orange. inoffensive and pleasant, really good for late spring or summer. nothing revolutionary, but that does not take away from its value:) recommend if you are looking for something light!
I try to restrict myself to one scent a month (this month became issey miyake a scent) , but I couldn't help myself when I saw this going for £16.99 for 50ml I genuinely think this might be the scent of the summer for me. It's a fresh citrus that never feels too raw or too soapy, which has a pleasant green tea. It compares nicely with my recently bought Issey Miyake "A Scent" as a citrusy green freshie that's close to a chypre but not quite. I think most people call them fresh chypre's but I like to call them translucent or summertime chypre. A scent is more earthy and bitter, Funny is more playful and sweet. It also has a slight parma violets smell in the mix, that I really love. Personally, I found in Arden Green Tea that the scent was too aggressive with the tea and light blue smelled a bit like dish soap whereas this smells like juice. I like those two well enough, but I love this one. Taste really is funny. I find this scent to be more unisex than it first appears. It's true that the bottle is quite feminine coded, but a citrus fresh smell has never seemed to me to be a scent purely for one gender. If it really bothers the men out there, decant it I suppose. This makes for a great work scent if you don't work somewhere stuffy and formal. It smells like someone kind, bubbly, but also sensible. Drydown and duration are good for a citrus, but generally not the best for perfume general but I can forgive summer time fresh scents being questionable at that. easy 9/10
This is very citrusy- as in lemon. It is fresh and it is quite nice. Fades quickly. Nothing very exquisite about this, but the bottle is cute.
