Can I just say what a beautiful iteration of the iris/rose/musk composition this one is? I recently finished a bottle of the EDT , which brings way more of the crayon/pencil shavings note, which is too close to memories of school days. But in EDP they disappear quickly and what remains is such a good balance of powder and makeup bag with lovely rose and iris. I'm so glad I snatched the 90 ml bottle of this discontinued treasure.
I smell Barbie doll heads. Not bad, the smell is nostalgic for me, but I'm surprised the scent is bottled into a fragrance. I prefer Poudree from this line.
I have a 100ml cube of this that is probably 90% full, I’ve tried to love her but she just isn’t for me. I know so many are mournful and miss her. If anyone is interested in it please message me bc I would love to sell or figure out a trade, I want it to go to a good home♥️
we still talk about you 🪦🧎
So sad this is discontinued! I finished a full bottle so I can comfortably say this is one of my favourites of the Narciso line. Such a beautiful balanced fragrance, not too powdery or rosey. Very comforting and unique
Powdery rose + musk with a creamy vanilla base. It’s giving cozy, feminine, and slightly mysterious vibes… super addictive.
I’m an Iris lover and this is one of my all time favs! I need a backup ASAP!
Narciso Rouge EDP is a fragrance that still evokes the same sense of serenity and even solemnity as the first day. It has a musk blended with iris and cedarwood that is so special, so unique, so instantly recognizable. The rose present isn't a dark, brooding rose, no...it has a certain fresh, green undertone that gives it a very dynamic, executive edge. I think it's one of the most elegant perfumes I've ever owned without being heavy or overly mystical or nocturnal; it's simply a fragrance that can be worn comfortably. But it has a distinct personality; it won't be for everyone. It was discontinued far too soon; this red cube had so many admirers...❤️
It smells just beautiful. The rose is mature, not old, very elegant, feminine, intoxicating. Nothing smells like this to my nose.
Edit 8. Feb. 26: I tried Valaya Exclusif today again, and these are definitely similar and give off the same vibe (not dupes in scent). May get that one at some point :) This also has some of the same characteristics as Fahad Regal by Arabiyat Prestige, in that they're both very dry, pencil-shavings kind of scents. I haven't really smelt something quite like this before. I wouldn't describe it as floral, actually. I mean, it IS, but the impression it gives is like a powdery pencil shavings kind of smell, in the best way possible. It's an airy, fluffy musk smell with something very light, but woody. The iris in here doesn't give the impression of flowers either - just powder. Very interesting smell. I like it and don't regret the bottle I purchase. Will use up my bottle, but won't hunt this down after. It's pleasant, clean, and would actually be very appropriate for the 2025-2026 "clean girl aesthetic" - this perfume was ahead of its time. There are too many other clean perfumes I want to try though :) I do think NR should bring this back some day.
I find this fragrance really sexy! I pick up creamy tonka giving a soft cherry almond sweetness, iris that’s just a hint waxy in the best way on a warm and inviting musk with a hint of spicy vetiver! It’s blended to perfection and the notes run so smoothly together it’s hard to pull them apart. It is does not smell the same, but is in the same family as Dior Hypnotic Poison. I totally love it!
My favorite of the Narciso cubes. It’s a floral make-up scent that garners compliments. A lot of my winter fragrances are very dense and better suited for nighttime, but this is perfect as a cool-weather daytime scent when other options may be too heavy. So glad I checked Fragrantica and saw it was discontinued so that I could snag one of the last remaining bottles online, because mine was running low. We look out for each other here. 🙌
A powdery iris opening. White musk. Tonka. I'm only getting a bit of rose, as a very soft backup player. Then, some creamy white florals. Overall, this is a creamy powder that is smeared. It's a powder bomb, but wet and creamy. Then, the rose shines through. A rosy, vanilla iris. The late drydown is soft powdery amber, vetiver, and woods. Beautiful! Between a like and a love.
So bad perfum 👎❌🚫🚫🚫
It's fine. It's pleasant. It is generic. It's light, floralish doesn't last long. I have it, so I wear it when I don't care....just want to put something on but not waste my good stuff.
I really like this. Its soft less powdery than the edt. Reminds me of l’interdit
Love it. Retro 40's Lipstick fragrance. Very feminine, no violet listed but I can detect it along with the beautiful soft iris and rose. My favourite Narciso (now that Essence is impossible to procure). Rouge has a Dita Von Teese vibe, definitely for those looking to project a glamorous, feminine aura. Not as long lasting as some NR fragrances and definitely lasts longer sprayed on clothing. I bought a back up straight away as this is sadly discontinued. Powdery gorgeousness......
Smells like plastic , lipstick and rose. Not a fan
This is the only scent that did not work well on me, the opening notes overpowered my senses, and the dry down was not pleasing.
Smells warm and velvety. Feels elegant and confidently flirty — like wearing a sophisticated red dress.
I got this for $40 from CVS. Apparently they have a big blowout sale whenever the season changes. Starts off very powdery. I do not get the lipstick note after about two hours. It goes down to the original sweet floral DNA. It lasts a good 4 to 5 hours. I really was hoping for the lipstick smell, but it’s still cool especially for such a good deal.
I really like this one. Granted she’s not as powerful or long lasting as I’d like. She has a rounded sweet iris-rose scent with a dash of lipstick and in the opening I detect something almost industrial & sharp smelling - like a whiff of freshly laid tarmac. Don’t let my description put anyone off though, it all comes together nicely once it settles. That distinctive narciso musk takes a bit of a backseat while the florals do their thing and sort of gently waft around, lingering on my skin along with the cedar wood, tonka bean & touch of vanilla in the drydown. I appreciate the way the rosey, powdery note doesn’t completely die off during the journey. Although, I wish the scent lasted longer for me. While she’s around I enjoy inhaling the fumes on my wrists and clothing and just when I think she’s disappeared, I get a welcome surprise that’s she’s still there albeit lowkey. Rouge seems to behave differently on my skin at different times. However more linear and stable on fabric sprayed. Not necessarily my favourite cube - if only because it’s a bit too gentle, but it’s a strong like. Loves go to original Narciso, For Her the EDT & Ambree. I still return to this often though and am sad she’s been discontinued.
I’ve had my 20ml for a couple of years. I wear less and less designer scents but this is good. However it’s incredibly strong to my nose. Almost overpoweringly strong. I suspect poor performance from others comes from musk anosmia or a poorly stored bottle. That Narciso musk with thick powder and the white cube dna. Abstract floral with powdery, buffered woods and a dryish feel. Gauzy yet strong and great performance. Definitely requires someone with presence.
"Extremely bad scent, similar to burnt plastic and glue. Lasts only 2 hours with poor projection. Thankfully, the company stopped producing it. Not recommended. Rating: 1/5 stars."
Smells so good — warm, powdery, sweet musk. It does lean generic/90s, though I personally don't mind. It's comforting and calming, like a hug from a kind woman who always has her shit together. Would work great for professional settings.
I love this perfume and been using it on cool weather or summer evenings. It has this make up lipsticky smell but not like old, or in a bad way. It's giving a trip to childhood memory lane where you discovered your mom's make up drawer and started playing out of curiosity. My cousins loves it so much, everytime they visit home, they would go to my perfume drawer and spray it on them. It's smells powdery, clean and with a hint of something you can't pinpoint that gives a mysterious and elegant lady vibe. Sadly it's discontinued 😔
I find it odd that no spice notes are listed because it comes straight out of the bottle a little spicy. That fades in the first five minutes though and it’s a full powder scent. You MUST love powder to wear this. My favorite part is the dry down, when the powder mellows a bit and the sweetness and musk come out. For me, this is a bedtime scent. Something about it is so soothing and relaxing.
I made a mistake and bought the edt. Whoops. No vanilla, creamy sweetness in that one. Just musky baby powder.
This smells kind of aldehydic to me and I’m not a fan. I love rose and iris, but I prefer Ambrée and Poudrée over this one
Rouge truly is a beautiful scent, it’s starts off with a rosey/iris powdery vibe which makes it vibrant and elegant, an hour or so later I get this amazing vanilic musk that makes rogue morph into a more creamy smooth scent that I can’t help but continue to smell my wrist. it’s definitely a make-up lipstick kind off scent that I envision Christina Aguilera sitting at a make up desk powdering her nose whilst applying Red lipstick 💄. this is truly a gorgeous scent that I have become addicted too. ❤️
