Absolutely, positively, without a doubt, one of THE BEST rose/oud frags in the business. Details upon request. And to my friend directly below, romanGM, OSM is not trying to compete with Roja. OSM has its lane and Amber Aoud has it's lane. OSM is great for what it is. That's all and that's enough. 10.0/10.0

As an OSM hater, all you need to know is. This is what OSM tried to be, the head-ache inducing sweetness from the rose? Gone. There is still that sweet jammy rose element in but the quality or however it is executed just doesn't give me a headache which is unbelievable. Every review mentions it, this is sensual, rich, deep, masterfully blended - this is a fragrance that makes any occasion feel regal and special. Everytime I've gone to the UAE, I've smelt rose-oud everywhere in the malls, hotels - you name it, I loved it, I wanted it to work so bad. After sampling OSM and trying other rose-oud combos where rose is the dominant facet, I just thought me and the sweet rose-oud combo was never meant to be. I hated how that sweet jamminess from the rose was too overbearing. So I recommend that people similar to me who thought the rose-oud profile was not for them, to please sample this before ruling the profile off your list. I get that people say this isn't anything massively unique or different in the rose-oud space, but for me, this is so different in the way I can actually wear it.

Update after a littlw over 2 weeks, yup still smells like a luxery cinnamon baby wipe. Im still gonna wear it for special occasions but probably wont be repurchasing. It didnt smell like a baby wipe untill the ole lady said that it smelled like a baby wipe. Next time you wear this tell me if thats what you get now or is my brain just f*cking with me. I was nose deep smelling it when she said it and boom baby wipe, now thats all I smell.

I really enjoy this. In fact, this is probably my favorite easy-to-wear oud and rose. This isn’t funky at all despite the civet, and it’s very high quality. For me, this is the better version of MFK’s Oud satin mood. They are in a similar category/DNA, but Amber Aoud is deeper, more textured, more masculine, and smoother. Such an opulent scent!

Ylang‑ylang then etches its petals into the light, a golden sweetness that acts as an elegant bridge between this sparkling top and the florals that follow, softening the edges of the citrus without blurring them. At the heart, a classic Middle Eastern damascena‑style rose emerges—confident, concentrated, and fully in command of the frame. It feels like a seasoned leading lady: no coyness, no pastel romance, but a rich, saturated rose that anchors the entire narrative, as if wearing a gauze palatine of lemon and lime around her shoulders. Smoke begins to creep in, not as tar or ash, but as cloud‑like apparitions of purple lilac haze—suggestive rather than abrasive—rising from the interplay of oud, birch, and resinous warmth. This haze does not smother the rose; instead, it casts her in soft focus, enhancing the damascena’s depth and allowing the fig and ylang‑ylang to read as glints of light refracted through the smoke. The oud here is of unmistakably high quality: neither musty nor dirty, never veering into barnyard or medicinal territory. It is noble and upstanding, perfectly aged and impeccably executed, more like polished dark wood in a panelled drawing room than a wild or unruly animal. Ambergris, cinnamon, and civet weave the golden threads beneath this structure, slowly warming the composition and creating flashes of molten amber that throw highlights onto the rose and oud. These notes don’t shout; they smolder, moving the fragrance from luminous to incandescent, creating an almost cinematic glow—as if the scene has shifted from stark monochrome into a subtle sepia without you noticing the transition. Oakmoss quietly catches the trailing citruses, deepening them, making them more grown up and grounded, and introducing a chypre‑like facet without fully transforming Amber Aoud into an actual chypre. Patchouli, sandalwood, saffron, and musk reinforce this foundation, adding woodlands and animalic hum that frames the composition rather than dominates it. The result is a complex architecture where brightness and shadow are held in precise tension: citrus and fig keep the air moving, while oakmoss, oud, and ambergris keep the feet firmly planted on velvet carpet. This equilibrium gives Amber Aoud a film‑noir poise—an aura of polished danger, of someone who knows exactly how the story ends and walks through it anyway. On skin, Amber Aoud reads as masculine‑leaning, with its smoky oud, grounded moss, and animalic‑amber undertones, but never collapses into a stereotype. It is perfectly suited to a strong, confident woman who wears structure and presence as naturally as a well‑cut coat, - Carmen Dell’Orefice in Thierry Mugler tailoring not an ingénue in chiffon. There is no softness for its own sake here; the softness is always purposeful—ylang‑ylang sweetening the citruses, fig smoothing the smoky edges, amber wrapping the rose in warmth—each element calibrated to maintain an air of command. In that sense, Amber Aoud feels less like a romantic lead and more like a noir protagonist: poised, enigmatic, impeccably groomed, yet carrying within its golden depths the mystery of shadow and the memory of unspoken stories.

So I sprayed and loved it immediately, then my wife had to say that it smelled like baby powder or a baby wipe now thats all I can smell. Now it smells like what what id imagine billionaires baby wipes smell like. Then I I heard someone say shampoo and now I smell expensive shampoo as well. So, a luxurious floral cinnamon shampoo with a high dollar baby wipe. Smells good dont get me wrong and im still gonna wear tf out if. I didnt smell any of those prior to anyone saying that thats what they smelled. Has this happened to anyone? 😆 It just came in today so ill do an update after a week or two. Not sure if traveling in this heat has affected it temporarily like ive had happen to a few others. An Arabian oud bottle did that to me, it went from good to amazing in 2 weeks after opening and settling after the shipping.

I've never really gotten to know natural ambergris. Synthetic ambergris is way proliferated, while the real stuff costs more than my country's national debt. To my nose, this smells more like medicinal oud draped in saffron, evoking the courtyards of Mecca during Ramadan. It sticks around with above-average longevity and performance.

Don't bother with this one. It fades within an hour. Go get OSM. It's sweeter, but the sweetness dies down and the deep drydown is divine.

A scent profile i have smelled all the time. Yeah it is the best rose note i have ever smelled. But this is miles away from my vibe.

The opening to this fragrance is like opening up a fresh box of really high quality rose flavoured Turkish delight. The rose & sweetness is extremely prominent in this. I also really get the white florals. The citrus notes stated in the opening here are really being drowned out by the other aforementioned notes. The oud in this is very mass-appealing, it's mainly giving a woody, earthy, resinous scent to the fragrance. It may also be where the animalic notes are coming from, not entirely sure. I for one love Turkish delight, so what can I say except I really love this fragrance. The only problem is that I do not like gourmands, or at least I do not like wearing them. I am also not sure if a strong rose fragrance would suit me either, but I am not one to care too much about what others think. This will be a scent I enjoy by & for myself. 9/10

A voluptuous, luxurious rose. Not a delicate bud, but a rose in full bloom… lush, velvety and almost glistening with drops of golden honey. Honey intertwines with cinnamon and warm spices, creating a rich, enveloping sweetness. Yet it never feels cloying; instead, it leaves a refined and beautiful lingering impression. At the same time, there is a subtle freshness running through the fragrance that keeps it from becoming too heavy. I can’t quite tell where it comes from. Perhaps it’s the delicate citrus notes in the opening that add a touch of brightness and light.

It instantly gave me MFK oud satin mood which is my fav frag of all time. So obviously loved it It’s like darker more manlier spicy version. Love the transition It changes in the dry down get more woody dark and mysterious and doesn’t remind of osm it completely changes and oud shines more and gets prominent. Its again rose and oud which is beautiful and I enjoy. Royalty in a bottle 9/10

Wasn’t expecting to love this as much as I do. Ridiculously beautiful soft rose amber scent, perfectly unisex with incredible performance. Frightening price, but I can’t see something of this caliber when it comes to quality ever getting duped. So to me, this is worth the steep price tag. An honest 10/10 for me.

I’ve enjoyed this more over the past few months, Musk Aoud was my no1 but this has changed that for me, can’t wait to chuck some miles on this in the winter times. My top list Roja Haute Luxe Diaghilev Scandal 15th anniversary Great Britain Musk Aoud Amber Aoud Candy Aoud is diabolical.

Amber Aoud Roja Dove 처음부터 로즈의 향이 강렬하다. 스모키한 강렬함이 아닌 로즈 본연의 강렬함 그리고 따라오는 과육의 달달함이 있는데 이게 무화과의 향인듯 하다. 오우드의 향보다는 깊게 맡으면 오리스루트 향기가 느껴진다. 굉장히 복잡한 트레일을 가지고 있는데 균형감있게 적절히 잘 조화되어 매력적이다. 내가 과일 달달한 향을 그리 좋아하지 않는데 적절하게 선을 지켰다.

Roja Dove, 🕊️, Sophistication, luxury, wealth, love, ecstasy, class, elegance, fame, fortune, this is how someone should properly describe this house. Get a bottle and be amazed.

I am convinced the haters of this fragrance are just being contrarian. I think the human mind is hardwired to love this smell. It’s just too good.

It’s one of the brand’s most recognisable fragrances, rich, sensual, and enveloping. A multi layered, perfectly balanced composition where rose, oud, amber, and saffron take centre stage. It settles on the skin like a warm, golden aura, elegant, deep, yet never overwhelming. The scent is distinctive while maintaining a sense of refinement and calm, it draws people in rather than dominate. Longevity is very good, as is characteristic of Roja Dove. The projection is noticeable for the first few hours, gradually softening into a closer, more intimate presence.

This is something I literally cannot get enough of. I wish I could wear it more, but living in a warm climate limits it to mostly nights in my opinion. This is also my special occasion fragrance. I love wearing rose and floral notes and this isn't too masculine or too feminine. This is a masterpiece, plain and simple.

Rose and Oud, exactly how you would imagine this to smell is exactly how it smells. Typical rose and Oud DNA, same with citrus fragrances and barbershop fragrances.. you can only do so much with these notes so they all end up relatively the same just with astronomical price differences

Genuine civet, oud, and ambergris? Think again. Those that picture Roja perfuming using rare ingredients should know that he's not a perfumer and has never made anything. He's very careful with his words – IYKYK. This is made by Robertet flavor/fragrance house which does good work. It's essentially an amber rose with oud accords made with costus, IBQ, civetone, and other ingredients. Like many Roja, he likes to copy vintage fragrances and this one has a throw back vintage vibe which I enjoy. I'll be wearing this one out tonight to a formal event with some upper crust type people so the vibe should be perfect. I am thinking about getting a bottle or at least sample size of this based off of the ratings but I do have a question for you all. I'm hearing mixed things about the longevity of this fragrance, some people are saying that they can barely even smell it on their skin like 30 minutes later and on the other hand some people are saying that it has incredible longevity that lasts up to 8 - 10 hours. Can someone please let me know more about the longevity? Thanks so much.

Not what I expected this to be. Since I first smelled Amber Aoud it turned out to be very different to what I thought it would be like. Given the price and the votes on all the notes, I expected this to be a classic rose oud with heavy ambers (hence the name), as well as being somewhat animalic too. Instead, Amber Aoud is a fruity, floral and ambery rose scent completely devoid of any oud or any noticeable woodiness, which I guess explains why this is called "Aoud" instead of "Oud". The rose is a bit jammy and it's blended extremely well with the fig and ylang-ylang, these notes act like a tail in the rose's scent instead of being on their own, to try to put it into words somehow. Early on there is a noticeable earthiness that grounds the sweetness from the rose-fig-ylang-ylang combo very nicely, but it's short lived and disappears completely after about an hour. Despite how feminine this might sound, I find Amber Aoud to be completely unisex, even after this earthy facet is gone I never found this feminine leaning in the slightest. I would have loved to see this have real oud in it, it could have easily become one of my favorite rose ouds and potentially my only rose oud, but alas I'll have to keep searching. I'm curious to try more fragrances from this collection but I suspect they might also not have any oud in them and the discovery set isn't particularly cheap. Performance was a mixed bag but I'll give it the benefit of the doubt since I sprayed this very lightly. Both projection and sillage were only moderate, which I think is very underwhelming for the price. This also turned into a skin scent very quickly, I think less than 3 hours after spraying this on it was already a skin scent. Longevity is good, however, reaching 8 hours but already pretty faint.

Fruity floral amber. Punchy fig and ylang/jasmine. Very feminine. Rather than animalic oud or civet, there is an indolic harshness of florals. A strong amber/sandalwood base. A rather synthetic show-off scent who likes to make their presence known with an extravagant feminine smell.

Very feminine soapy powdery, even lipsticky generic rose. No “aoud” to my nose. Smells old-age and outdated, cheap (as a cheap drug-store EDP). Truly disappointing. I’m sorry to say that Roja’s creations are increasingly bland and derivative and commercial generic money-making machines, not even close to their fetching price. Sample before buying.
