Hi there, just received a sample of Neroli Portofino EDP. Beautiful summer fragrance . It will also shine in a hummid climate conditions as well as when its monsoon time . If some one is a hardcore collector for TomFord fragrances or doesn’t care the big Price Tag then its a wonderful add on to the collection but if someone who enjoys such scents can also try “Dior Eau Sauvage EDT” not Dior Sauvage edt the Blue bottle. Dior might not be as close to Neroli Portofino but its a beautiful fragrance guys that is so timeless and it will make you feel calm, happy and confident for such beautiful summer days with a fraction of the price we pay for Tomford in my humble opinion. As its my first ever review on Fragrantica so please pardon if i have made some mistake or offended anybody. Big respect to the fragrance community and fans out there that love fragrances and can help suggest amazing such scents that community from different parts of the world can experience. ….Again please accept my apology if by any means my words have made anyone uncomfortable. Thankyou. Tkcare
I prefer the scent of the EDP over the parfum. . I just hope they give the EDP the same performance as the Parfum.
I really wanted to love this. It smells great coming out of the bottle and on a tester strip, but unfortunately it doesn't work on my skin. First, I was very disappointed by how low-performing this was. I think I was lucky to get 30 minutes of projection (probably 15 minutes if I'm being honest). Second, while the initial scent was pleasant, as it mixed with my skin chemistry, it slowly changed to a musky scent reminiscent of BO. Totally put me off. I might try again and spray it on clothes rather than skin, to see if it changes anything. But for me this is truly a disappointment.
I had a sample of what I thought was this and smelled salt air and sailboats in a Mediterranean harbor. So I bought it and it smells like a cheap sunscreen I used as a kid. It's a good scent, it's just connected to the wrong thing for me.
Top 10 fresh fragrance of all time imo, neroli and citrus has got to be one of my favorite scent compositions.
Decided to order a sample after seeing some reviewers hyping this one up. Pretty meh.
I do love this, but it's far too expensive for how long it (doesn't) last on my skin. It reminds me of the 4711 Eau de Cologne which is a much better price point and a true classic.
Truly loved this fragrance but at 400 CAD and literally only 2 hours of longevity before it is COMPLETELY gone, I won't be purchasing a full bottle. Instead, I'll be looking for a dupe so that I can enjoy this scent profile without the price tag. That said, it is the most beautiful neroli fragrance. I love neroli and this is the perfect neroli citrus and dries down to a true almost musky fruity-loop scent. I ADORE.
A beautiful hot weather fragrance that it’s hard not to use daily. Comforting, mood lifting and gives a wealthy aura. In my top 3 summer fragrances for sure.
Smells like you are a rich guy wearing cream colored knitted polo, waking up and sitting on the balcony of your villa in Italy. Not so versatile if you are not the guy described.
i want it so bad but my mom wears it
This was a big regret and it rarely happens. It smells annoying and cheap, despite the fact that I adore citrus scents. No depth, no complexity, no interest, boring and cheap. Didn't expect it.
Is there like a powdery version of this? I swear I smelled it from someone outside please what is it...
Honestly good frag but too pricey for normal ppls
Green almost fruit loops neroli. First on it’s 100% orange blossom white floral in the way I don’t like at all, but drying it gets that candy green spritz to lighten the waxy, indolent orange blossom and add a sense of fruit juice. Nicely done, but still more neroli than I care for. AND fades super fast to almost nothing, which at this price point is criminal.
This stuff is gold. A perfect signature. If you want to smell like the Italian coast, wear this. Yes it is simple, but that is not a bad thing.
Por mucho que me guste la fragancia, el perfume en sí tiene muy mala fijación por lo general y por ese precio no renta en absoluto a menos de que te la soplen 200-400€€€ 6.5/10
I never really understood why this is so highly rated. It smells basic to me, a mix of citrus and floral. As far as summer fragrances go, Soleil Blanc is much more elegant and despite being more feminine on the opening, it’s base notes dry on my skin to be somewhat smoky, whereas neroli portofino smells quite feminine on my skin. I like it, but I won’t be buying another bottle, for the price of Tom ford, I certainly wouldn’t buy this on a blind purchase.
Nice clean citrus and neroli scent, but I would not reccomend it because of its weak performance, especially taking in consideration is it expensive, when comparing it to other niche fresh scents. Overpriced and weak, not worth it although is a very nice smelling one.
I absolutely love this scent profile, super clean and pleasant. But my god does it not last. For such a sexy scent profile this needs to have beast mode performance, especially considering the price. But, this is Tom ford, their fragrances have their longevity reputation. Regardless, I would recommend anyone to at least smell this masterpiece.
At first I thought it just smelled like toilet cleaner. Months later it grew on me and I find it beautiful its fresh clean floral and obv neroli dominant. Its wonderful fragrance for layering as it last less on its own. Lovely summer scent anyway, smells like Italian holiday 8/10
This fragrance is exactly what you would expect from a luxury neroli fragrance. Bright citrus, sparkling bergamot, clean neroli, and an effortless Mediterranean feeling from start to finish. It smells incredibly refined, natural, and high quality, with a level of smoothness that is pleasent. That being said, the performance is only average, which is fairly normal for this style of fragrance. Fresh citrus scents are notoriously difficult to make long-lasting tbh. I really enjoyed wearing this fragrance and I do get the hype it had and still does. It smells elegant, clean, and expensive without trying too hard. However, despite how much I like it, I personally wouldn't buy another bottle. The scent is fantastic, but the price simply isn't justified for what it offers, especially when there are much cheaper alternatives that capture most of the experience and make it even better sometimes. I mean it is 2026 and dupes are not bad anymore, not remotely as a matter of fact I have tried a nice "dupe" called Lazuli from Al Wataniah. Smells really similar and it lasts longer. Into the conclusion, it is a beautiful fragrance, just not one I'd pay retail for twice personally.
Opening is ok, but the dry down reminds me of cuticle remover. Grey vetiver is still better in my opinion.
The clones of this are getting better with each passing day / month / year. Alhambra's Pacific Blue is pretty good- $25.00 for a full bottle. Just sayin'.
Got a sample of this, opening smelled pretty good. The about 10 minutes passed and it still smelled pretty good, but weirdly familiar. Couldn’t pinpoint what it was, got home, went to check a specific lemon cleaning product I have and yes, there it is. Won’t specify the name but it is a neon green cleaning product available worldwide under different brands. It smells really good, but I just can’t get past the cleaning product vibe. A pass for me.
The only thing stopping me from being all over this fragrance is the price point. Genuinely the best neroli, citrus, and floral fragrance I have ever smelled, and I feel like I am walking the Italian coast when I wear this. I just really wish it lasted a little longer, and I can't justify reapplying that much because it costs so much. 7/10
Had the opportunity to smell this fragrance on paper. I feel as though I was transported to a confession booth with a former priest I used to know (he was under many allegations - aside from the point), when I smell this fragrance, I am doing 10 Hail Marys and one Our Father, but I am eagerly waiting to jump into the pool (since I had lathered my body with sun tan lotion) / 10.
Tom Ford Neroli Portofino is one of those fragrances that instantly feels nostalgic. It’s clean, fresh, and effortlessly appealing, with a bright Mediterranean vibe that’s easy to wear and hard not to like. The only downside is the performance, which is fairly weak. That said, not every fragrance needs to dominate a room, though I do wish this one lasted just a little longer on the skin.
I love neroli and white flowers, and Neroli Portofino is a great fragrance that suffers from terrible longevity, like most of the neroli freshies do. Some are better, but only marginally so. On my skin, I get about an hour of decent projection and then another 3 or so hours as a skin scent from Neroli Portofino. I haven't tried the Forte version. I am still searching for the neroli, white floral, orange blossom, slightly sweet, slightly bitter fragrance that lasts. My search continues...
Rich, smooth and effortlessly luxurious neroli done to a very high standard. It smells clean and expensive like a Mediterranean summer bottled. Also gives fresh linen and green vibes on the dry down. RRP is honestly hard to justify but I picked up 100ml for £190 which feels a bit more reasonable. About 7 hours of longevity with weak to moderate projection.
