this is the only lemon fragrance in my collection that doesnt smell like bug spray! the opening is fresh and citrusy, and it dries down beautifully to a creamy lemon vanilla cupcake scent. the dry down is really when this perfume shines. i get so many compliments when people come in for hugs!! 10/10 will be in my collection forever.

The citrus notes are gone within 10 minutes which is expected and the dry down is burnt sugar for 6 hours. It's not blind buy safe at all. This should be titled Akro - Synthetic caramel

Very disappointed in this. The lemon is gone in less than 5 minutes. The lemon is also very sharp and synthtic -- reminded me of a Lemonhead candy. Then you're left with a very faint sugary merengue / shortbread scent that is completely gone in 30 minutes.

zesty lemon and warm vanilla. like a nice lemon cake on a cold afternoon with a cup of tea. 10/10

Very similar to Devotion which was the main draw. I liked that this rated high on Yuka with cleaner ingredients. Unfortunately I went through 2/3 of a 20ml bottle in a weekend. It's an amazingly gourman lemon cake but blink and the smell is already gone. Frequent reapplying didn't seem to help. Such a shame

This reminds me a lot of Devotion from D&G. It's gourmand but it's not cloying / overly sweet, smells like a fresh lemony wedding cake with powdered sugar. Very pretty and delicious! I knew I'd like it. 8/10

Perfume 7, tested on paper, 8 ml decant (finished bottle) I love this one. It's an easy to wear fragrance that smells like a juicy, sweet lemon sponge cake with vanilla and lemon zest, soaked in lemon syrup. To me, it's the perfect easy grab perfume that is great for everyday wear, especially in warmer weather. It's subtle and never overwhelming. Longevity isn't its strongest point, but I'm actually fine with that. I'll definitely buy another decant, or even a full bottle, once I go through the other edible lemon-vanillas I already own. I also bought the Akro discovery set, and I can honestly say this is the best fragrance from the brand that I've tried so far.

A creamy lemon dessert that is not overly sweet. I like it but I will not be repurchasing after I finish my bottle. There are several other very similar lemony gourmands out there available at a lower price point.

Extremely realistic lemon cake scent, like you're about to take a bite! 5/5 Light, surprisingly intimate for how gourmand it is, and suitable for any occasion! I'd love a full bottle of this one :)

god, what a beautiful and delectable lemon cake. i recently realized how much i love things in this scent profile, and akro bake is no different. the citrus starts out a bit sharper/more synthetic than other fragrances that are similar (devotion, lira, chelsea morning), but it settles into delicious, photorealistic airiness. very much a delight

Some niche perfumes make you want to write art essays. Others require no PhD in olfaction: they simply make you happy. Akro Bake is lemon cake — a little pastry, bright lemon zest on a cloud of sugary dust. At first, it is almost indecently edible, but never in a cheap lemon-candle way. Then the lemon softens, and on my skin I get a distant echo of By the Fireplace by Margiela — not the grand ancestral fireplace where someone is about to read a will, but a tiny little hearth. Just a hint of sugar catching fire. Then it settles into whipped egg-white cream: soft, sweet, meringue-like, and innocent, as innocent as a perfume can be when you want to spray it with absolutely no self-control. I want this in the heat, when a reasonable person would reach for a marine cologne. Naturally, I still want a gourmand — but a bright, young, non-sticky one.

One of the most realistic gourmands I've ever smelled

Bake genuinely smells like a dessert rather than simply a collection of sweet notes. To me, it perfectly captures the feeling of biting into a melting moment biscuit. Australians will be able to appreciate this one: crumbly shortbread biscuits sandwiched together with tangy lemon cream. The fragrance is fluffy, sweet, and zesty all at once. Very edible. The lemon note is particularly impressive because it delivers a bright citrus without ever drifting into the territory of cleaning products or artificial lemon scents. Instead, it feels creamy, edible, and incredibly inviting. I adore this fragrance!

Yuzu-vanilla candy/cotton candy. The opening is nose-burning, but the dry down becomes a powdery, smooth, vanillic yuzu candy scent. Sharp, citrusy-forward, cloying, and somewhat synthetic. It has average sillage and longevity. I would rather go for Liis - Choux Choux or D&G - Devotion, which are in the same line of scent composition, just executed differently and better.

Ah so delightful and smooth yet intriguing gourmand ✨ more sophisticated and nuanced than it's resemblance "Devotion". Such a comforting and addicting scent 🏵️ Only wish for more longetivity 🙏🏼

This smells like a sweet and sour lemon candy. It’s ever so slightly creamy. Compared to Sweet Tooth Lemon Pie, this is similar but less artificial. My only complaint is that it was almost completely gone after about 30 minutes on my skin. For a fragrance this price it should be lasting multiple hours. If it lasted longer I would consider buying a bottle, but for now I’ll enjoy my sample in fleeting moments.

Lemon pound cake. Reminds me of Acqua Viva by Profumum Roma but way more sweet. Pretty good performance. 7/10

absolutely beautiful - the whipped lemon vanilla sugar scent of a girls dreams!! very, very reminiscent of lush super milk hair primer - even moreso than lush chelsea morning, which people often credit as the closest perfume match. there's something that comes off clean and almost soapy about this on the dry down, in a ~freshly bathed eating a lemon cupcake in crispy washed white sheets~ kind of way, not a lemon pledge kind of way. immediately going on my full bottle purchase list. 10/10. akro bake, i love u

Literally lemon pound cake

Just received via USPS, I will revisit this scent in about a month. Smells like pencil shavings, rum and maybe Pledge??? I used to like Lira, but got sick of it. I like BBW Lemon Pound Cake, but enjoy it more as a body wash. Lira & BBWLPC > Akro Bake

I kinda like this. Honestly, I hate lemon in perfume since it wears a bit like a cleaning product. This lemon is a bit zestier and foodier and not as “cleaner.” Luckily the lemon goes away quickly. The real event here is the dry down. There’s something alluring about it, and I caught whiffs throughout the day of something sweet, bready, buttery, but not cloying. This would be incredible and even a love if the top note went away.

I'm not sure how "lemon cookie" has become nearly an entire perfume genre unto itself but here we are. There are countless scents going for this profile, and I've smelled most of the prominent ones and quite a few of the more niche offerings - out of everything I've tried, this one is by far the best, most realistic -and- longest lasting aside from maybe Unknown Pleasures which veers out of the pure cookie territory for me and has quite a bit of a burnt wood aspect to it. If you're looking for a lemon cookie scent this is certainly the one I'd recommend. Never goes too sickly gooey sweet either.

Smelt this at the mall yesterday, and it immediately reminded me of Devotion. The only difference I got from the two is that it’s not caramelized as much as Devotion, but the rum is there in the top notes similarly. I would say comparing the two, it’s less sweet, fresher, lighter, and less cloying than Devotion is. The first spray was a nice lemon zest with a subtle but noticeable rum. The dry down reminded me of a meringue and was very enjoyable because it was just enough sweetness without being too much. I think this one is great if you don’t like too sweet because it does it just right. It reminded me of maybe an Italian lemon cookie or maybe a fluffy lemon cupcake. I really enjoyed this one.

Beautiful lemon zest that does not turn cleaning product at all. It’s more like a spongy lemon cake or Starbucks lemon bread.

Bake is a pretty straightforward gourmand, a smell-o-realistic attempt to evoke, according to the brand, a lemon cupcake. Like most gourmand perfumes to hit the market over the past several decades, Bake takes its cues from Angel. No surprise, Angel was a promethean gesture to the olfactory world—here makers, here buyers, here is the fire that might propel you forward as you contemplate what it means to create and wear the gourmands of the future. But Bake doesn’t do much to raise the bar. Whereas Angel is a tug of war between attractive and repulsive—the chalky dryness of cocoa and garden dirt funk of patchouli weaving in and out of the cotton candy sweetness—Bake only hints at the chemical processes that can just as easily spell culinary disaster. The “off" notes here are slightly burnt, like the smell of batter spilling its boundaries to frizzle at the bottom of a hot stove or a crust neglected to over browning. Overall though, it remains a linear composition, moving from that tart lemon note straight into vanilla and butter cream, very sticky sweet, very much a “mouthful,” and in the end more of a curiosity than a pioneer.
