I bought this last week. It is worth it the price. Absolute versatile masterpiece.

I have already left my review of this masterpiece of a fragrance, but I wanted to let you guys know about something I happened across. As good as this one is and while longevity is great also, projection is significantly subdued compared to the original. I've been trying to find a fragrance that I could layer, something that I rarely ever do, in order to boost the projection and the white florals that the original has but this one doesn't. Basically keep all the best things about this version and all the best parts of the original and combine them. I think I have found it. If you lay one spray on of Invictus Victory Absolu and then a spray of this fragrance on top, its about as close as you can theet to the original while still maintaining the much richer base of the extrait. It's really quite good and I highly recommend giving it a try!!!

I went through a full bottle of Shiyaaka in the past and I was extremely excited when I saw they had a bottle for test at the airport df on Malta. I tried the og in the past and I really liked it. This? Not good. A stingy juniper smell lasted the whole way through. Like the rough opening of shiyaaka but it never went away. Not rating because I really think there was something wrong with the tester there.

This is the kind of fragrance you’d want as your signature scent—the one you wear for special occasions, where your arrival is instantly recognized—yet you find yourself wanting to wear it on less formal occasions too; there’s just one thing holding you back: the price. It is fresh yet elegant and distinctive—the kind of fragrance that clearly comes with a high price tag. If you’re willing to invest a significant amount in this fragrance, I highly recommend it.

After wearing both Reflection Man and Reflection 45 for months, here’s my take: Reflection 45 is a denser, incense-heavy, earthier version of the original. It’s a good fragrance, don’t get me wrong. In my experience, women often preferred 45 when couples came into the shop and compared both side by side. That said, 45 projects less, and the earthiness, resins, and lavender give it a more mature older gentleman feel. I kept asking myself: why change perfection? The original is smoother, brighter, projects better, and costs less. If the original Reflection gives you headaches tho, 45 could be a great alternative.

a refined and elegant ambery, floral-woody musk that trades projection for intimacy. it’s less of a “standout signature statement” and more about being “the best-dressed person in the room”. on my skin and to my nose, it centers on a balsamic, resinous core of incense and woods, with a faint leathery quality. i can also pick up warm spices, a soapy-clean rose-lavender accord, and the slightest hint of citrus brightness. the iris arrives waxy and powdery, evoking lipstick-smooth textures and the warmth of suntan lotion. beneath them lies a sweet and creamy base of well-blended white florals, almond, vanilla, and musk. the white florals are expensive-smelling and non-indolic. what a lovely formula this is! wow! what impresses me too is how beautifully balanced and grounded it feels. the sweetness and creaminess never turn gourmand, while the incense never feels overly dry. overall, this one may not break new ground or demand attention, but everything about it feels effortlessly tasteful and quietly luxurious. thank you Amouage and Lucas Sieuzac.

There are fragrances from Amouage that I absolutely adore, and there are others that I can't stand. I can't stand this one. I wouldn't say this is a concentrated version of the original; this is more like a resinous "flanker" of the original. The myrrh in here had always left me nauseated (you really have to like myrrh to enjoy this). The quality of the ingredients is undeniable, but it's not safe for sensitive noses. I tested it on my skin and on male skin several times (as a potential present to my father), but I decided not to go through with the investment. It might be the weather (maybe), but I also noticed that this scent profile mostly attracts men, not women. The bottle is stunning.

More full bodied buttery take on the original with some incense thrown into the late drydown. I think the ephemeral airy vibe of the original fits the Dna better. Performs well enough, i can smell it on myself 8 hours in

I just don't really understand what the purpose of this is. It doesn't smell super great, it doesn't project hard and it's really expensive. I guess you can wear it in any season and you definitely won't offend anyone because literally nobody will be able to smell it. No joke it projects 1-2 feet for like, 20 minutes and then it's a skin scent. It smells wet and damp is the best way to describe it, like walking into an old humid room where the air is heavy. I gave this 3 full wears, you get like a whiff of it here and there occasionally and that's it. Don't understand the hype.

Анонім

If this stuff weren't so expensive I would be wearing it more often than anything else I own. Sadly, that's just not an option given the current price which is just under the $300 mark. My favorite warm weather fragrance next to this is Sauvage Parfum. I love fresh fragrances with lots of deep, resinous accords and thick sillage. This one has those things nailed and it's just executed to almost perfection. The scent has one of the best sillage trails that I have come across and the performance is outstanding also. It smells very elegant and high end. Like I said at the beginning, if it weren't for the high price I'd be wearing this stuff as my signature scent! So check it out and you will thank me for it later. God bless.🙏

In these uncertain and difficult times characterised by division, mendacity, greed, manipulation and hatred, it is easy to forget sometimes that perfumery has the ability to save your soul. It can heal, inspire, enrapture and capture if you let it. Very few have the power to truly transcend the boundary between fragrance and art and of the hundreds of bottles I own, there are perhaps four or five with that power. Reflection 45 is one of a very, very exalted few. Now, at this point in my review I'd spend some time talking about the notes and how they work together but with R45 this seems a bit redundant. It is a bit like studying a painting by talking about the colours the artist has used, which is to miss the point of what makes the piece great in the first place. R45 is an unusually complex, multifaceted thing brimming and bubbling with iris, florals, spices, clary sage, woods, resins, textures and apparently, wishes and magic spells. There are sparkles, flashes, shimmers, colours, drama and emotions, sweetness, richness, freshness, aromatics and bitterness as well. Honestly I do not profess to know enough about perfumery to say with any surety why it all works, or how. It is hard to describe: it seems impossibly rich and fine but never decadent or pretentious. Luxuriant but versatile, precious but wearable, individual but evocative. It evokes in me a calm assurance that I am capable of great things. Most of all, it stirs in me a very alien emotion: love. Of myself. I've not liked or had much time for myself for my entire life and sometimes I view my own sense of self with such a baleful derision that it is hard to function. I've been depressed most of my adult life to varying degrees and it has threatened my very existence a couple of times. My fragrance journey has been healing in many ways and I've got so much out of throwing all of myself into something worthy and rewarding. I have become a better person for starting to understand fragrance properly, and in that I've learned to love myself a little more; to be a little kinder and more forgiving of myself. There are fragrances that have the power to make me feel better about myself, to forget just for a little while all the people who have used me, manipulated me and taken from me without permission, thanks or apology. R45 makes me feel like everything is going to be okay and that I should try to give myself an easier time, because life is better than I often think it is. If you're like me, you get caught down those never-ending dark rabbit holes that stop you from seeing the wonder and beauty in the world and thus also in myself, and R45 is like opening a door somewhere and letting in the light and fresh air. Great perfumery isn't about the fragrance, it is about the person smelling it. Three Word Summary: Wonderful Is Life Layering Suggestion: why on earth would you want to layer this? Outfit Suggestion: the good navy blue suit and smart shoes, white shirt and Hermes tie, walking out of a meeting knowing you've just done something truly remarkable. Scent - 10/10 Drydown - 10/10 Sillage - 9/10 Bottle/packaging - 10/10 Performance - 9/10 48/50

whoever says it doesnt last or it smells worse than the original: YOU HAVE A FAKE ! Skin chemistry, bad batch, i dont care. There is no universe in which a fragrance that lasts 12-14 hours on most people's skins, has a terrible longevity or smells somehow worse than regular reflection. This is literally 85-90% reflection with a smoother more resinous but typical amouage twist. And whoever says the corn tortilla thing: I used to get the same thing from og reflection but i was literally less than a year into fragrances at that time. i promise, you just need to train your nose more and try to experience more high quality fragrances instead of only smelling designers. It's an untrained nose syndrome when your brain detects notes that are not in the composition.

Contrary to the note list Reflection 45% opens with a Waxy Orris note followed by a subtle introduction of spices & a note of Jasmine that smells matured, displaying both its White/Floral & Dark/Tobacco nuances without exposing any Indoles. This opening slowly develops over a span of 20 minutes. Within that time the Spice notes intensify, but they never become overwhelming. Notes of Neroli & Lavender follow, which then fully showcases that "Reflection Man" DNA we all love. But its different ! Neroli at 45% oil concentration, while still White/Floral, also smells Matured, & Dark with Honeyed Amber-like nuances. Lavender at 45% oil concentration smells like matured Dark Florals & Herbs. Its also cooling & camphoraceous. Like It has Dark, Minty, Menthol, Eucalyptus-like nuances. Reflection 45 maintains this scent profile for what I counted was about 6 hours. After the 6 hour mark, a not overly sweet, but intensely Resinous Amber note takes center stage. But its actually not Amber at all. .... Its the note of Neroli intensifying & displaying its Dark, Resinous, Honeyed, Amber-like nuances. The White Floral combination that creates the "Reflection Man" DNA is still present, It just steps behind the Amber accord, which brings with it Resinous notes of Benzoin, Myrrh, Frankincense, & Opoponax. This stage of the fragrance also lasts about 6 hours. Showcasing its Spice, Resinous, & Woody notes. Reflection 45 is a dark floral, spiced, resinous, musky, heady, take on the original. I have no complaints outside of its price. It performs as it should. At 45% oil concentration its not going to project more than a few inches off of your skin. But where this fragrance shines is in its Sillage. Reflection 45 is a Sillage beast. As you move everyone will smell you. Especially when sprayed on clothes. The wind will literally carry this fragrance 50 ft outdoors. You are the wearer ! Remember that ! At 45% oil concentration you should expect to go nose blind fairly quickly. The people closest to you will also go nose blind. You will not smell this fragrance in the intensity as everyone else outside of your immediate circle. FYI: You'll get the best performance out of this fragrance if you spray both skin & clothing. I go 10 sprays. CLONES: Theres only one clone of Reflection 45, & thats "AKS 45" by Yom & Layl. Which sells for $84.99 AKS 45 is a true 1 to 1 clone of Reflection 45. I know because I own them both. Now, because Yom & Layl makes their fragrances to order, AKS 45 will need a few weeks to Maturate, & Macerate. So please follow their site instructions. ... but when its complete, you will have a 1 to 1 clone of Reflection 45. Enjoy.

I have lots of Amouages & never wanted the original, But have owned this for over a year & never realized how good it actually was & honestly haven’t reached for it enough, Untill now & ‘I’m enamored by the initial spray on in to the mid! & I’m here to tell you…It’s pretty f**king amazing! For those interested in Niche over designer fragrances & still wanting to please the masses at the same time, I give you this one! I’m more of unisex type of guy & this has this Fougure type thing gong on which definitely has it leaning more masculine & Quite surprised that I’m in love with it. The bottle alone is going to demand to sit at the front of all the others …Kind of has me re thinking the original OG Reflection Man now

Had a 2ml decant. Loved it. I finally made up my mind to buy it. HOLY CRAP. RIP shiny chrome bottle. The newer batch is a super ugly matte gray bottle. It completely blocks the view of the juice level. Even worse, the little pendant is missing. FK me :)

Very nice fragrance but ruined by the over exaggerated price a skip for me.

Its denser than the OG. But still smells like fresh clean linen. I still cannot justify spending so much to smell soapy

Flawless Craftsmanship and Quiet Luxury The original Reflection Man was one of the niche world’s quintessential "clean white shirt" fragrances. However, with the "45" version, Amouage has taken this familiar DNA and completely rebuilt it with flawless craftsmanship. I have always had a soft spot for the dense, skin-clinging nature of Extrait de Parfum formulations; and with an incredible 45% perfume oil concentration, Reflection 45 is the perfect embodiment of the "quiet luxury" aesthetic we so often look for. When you first spray it, the bright neroli and lavender from the original greet you once again, but this time through a much richer, more resinous filter. That slightly soapy vibe in the opening quickly settles down, and the introduction of myrrh, orris root, and cedarwood pulls the fragrance into immense depth. It doesn't scream or aggressively project, but when you enter a room, it creates an aristocratic aura that instantly makes everyone feel the high quality of the cashmere sweater you are wearing. An Unbiased Take: The Pros: Thanks to the 45% oil concentration, it is completely free of any synthetic harshness, boasting a structure so rich and smooth that you can easily get lost in its layers. The longevity is simply unbelievable. While its high concentration means the projection sits closer to the skin, it continues to live with you for days on your clothes. It is a fantastic signature scent for a mature man who knows exactly what he wants and has a well-established style. The Cons: If you are looking for a room-filling, "beast mode" projection that gets noticed from meters away, this dignified structure that prefers to stay close to the skin might disappoint you. Additionally, its wearability is quite restricted; it certainly doesn't pair well with shorts or a basic t-shirt. It paints a rather "formal" profile that demands you dress the part. Unfortunately, the hefty price tag makes it accessible mostly to serious collectors. In short: This isn't an experience crafted for blending into the crowd, but rather an elite, slow-motion journey designed for you to carry your own standards and refined taste on your skin. instagram.com/etatelierparfum

Might be one of the rare fragrances where the concentration works against the scent profile. Feels too dense and due to the concentration, it won’t project unless you spray much, at which point it easily gets cloying. Skin chemistry definitely plays a role due to it being very resinous, so do not blind buy in any case. It’s a very resinous juniper + iris fragrance. It smells pretty good and this sample got me very curious of the regular Reflection, which I’ll try to get my hands on next. Wearing experience at night was: it sits very close to the skin, takes a while for the resins to settle, and for the Iris to come out. It’s a muted Iris, even more muted than what you find on the current formulations of DHP. Juniper plays a small role but it is an Olibanum spread(I personally can’t separate the resins so it’s a mix of resins) first and foremost.

Firstly I just want to be clear and note that I have the aged batch J08291 and I don’t have the standard batch to compare with right now. A true masterpiece and nothing can really compare to this in terms of scent profile. I have probably smelt and worn over 1000 fragrances over the years but nothing smells like this and to my knowledge hasn’t been cloned. Quite safe for a niche scent in my opinion but still has that Amouage resinous, deep and complex DNA. The scent is hard to describe but definitely can smell the lavender, neroli and jasmine up top with a hint of spices and buttery smooth powdery iris. As it dries does the florals slowly fade to a more woody vanilla base still with a bit of spice. This leans probably 70/30 masculine. Now for the comparison with the OG reflection man. The OG is a bit more feminine and more floral. Where the OG is sharp and projecting, the 45 sits closer but still very noticable, smooth and refined. It is a more oppulent and alluring scent in my opinion. 45 is different enough to pass as different fragrance rather than a flanker. I slightly prefer the 45 as it’s more complex and feels more luxurious. I wore both for a few days each and also side by side before pulling the trigger on 45. Suprisingly this actually does well in the heat too, so i would argue it’s just as versatile as the original. Maybe a bit more formal and special occasions. EDIT: After wearing this the past week in both the warmer weather and on a rainy cooler day, and inside, there are some big differences. I understand the fragrance much more after spending so much time with it. After having a shower and wearing in warmer weather it becomes spicy fresh very similar to the discontinued Armani Eau D'Aromes but more smooth. I happen to love that fragrance so very happy to wear it when warmer. The scent stays more vanillic and powdery when colder but I still enjoy this too. I really love the many phases and faces this fragrance presents. It is a bit like a journey and it constantly shows itself for 10+ hours in different forms. This is close to a perfect 10 and I think it is absolutely worth the money.

Got a 2ml decant from DecantX, and even a small spray on the crease of my elbow was drawing compliments from a buddy of mine from about 6ft away. Thankfully, this stuff is not cloying bc it is LOUD. Definitely expensive, but it seems like one would get their money's worth. I'll probably work through a 10ml decant before buying a full bottle, but I plan on wearing it all the time. Smells fresh, but formal. Floral and clean, but masculine. Seems like it would work all year round; it's strong enough to get through the cold, but light enough to work in the heat, and definitely lasts all day without being linear. Stays strong, but changes. Never smelled anything like it, would highly recommend.

Анонім

At first sniff, I liked this, but then there's something in this that is putting me off. I don't know what it is. It just kind of turns my stomach, the way Parfums de Marly Pegasus does. Like too sweet and almost metallic? My husband says it smells like cheap, strong cologne and pizza boxes. I don't get that, but I guess it just means that it may not smell good to others either. I like the iris and lavender on top, there's something in the base that I really don't enjoy.

Анонім

I don't agree at all with what was written below that they are identical and 45 is just stronger. For me, these are completely different stories. Writing this text, it occurred to me that overall the idea of 45 is like a continuation of the OG when day turns into evening but a more accurate and simpler comparison would be two brothers with completely different characters. The start of the first 40 seconds is identical for both brothers, but then it's as if their lives diverge in different directions. While the OG begins a happy life and shines with the nobility of white flowers, 45 becomes serious, much more closed-off and masculine and a powerful woody kingdom, as if he has already known this difficult existence. But in 45 I still feel their common floral past, it is somewhere inside but as someone correctly noted it is locked up and unfortunately only occasionally echoes... Since in my story 45 has already known the hardships of existence, he lasts much longer, just like the unfolding of his powerful story... Nevertheless, my soul prefers pleasant shining OG brother and unfortunately I don't want to read the story of 45, for some reason I harbored other hopes for his life. Maybe one day the day will come and I will grow to understand or reunderstand the story of 45 but not today...

Анонім

really not blown away. It's good, but smells like a nice cologne if you wanted to smell good for $500. It's woody, floral with jasmine iris. Some pink pepper and masculine sophistication. Lasts long, doesn't project much. 8.5/10 because of the value to price

Анонім

been tested for a month, one of most expensive fragrance in my collection. the scent was pretty complex, bold, and shopisticated than reflection man. Definitely had very low-low projection, but the sillage and longevity was very strong, and last 12+ hours on my skin. Love it even its not "stand out" fragrance.

Анонім

1:1 to Reflection man, but stronger, no other difference. What a weird marketing scheme, and thank god I don't like any of the two either.

Reflection man soars, reflection 45 is a caged bird. They are extremely similar, but 45 sticks to your ribs. Another key difference is 45 has a pretty strong musk in the dry down, mostly laundry musk but a little animal too, like a ferret. The woods come of better in the OG as well, i.e., the heavenly pencil shavings smell pops more. This bird gotta fly, stick to the og.
