That mango coconut is insane! This smells just like a Pina colada but with mango, it's really bright and cute! I want to eat this totally from the smell, but it is almost a little too tropical forward. I think it would benefit from some warmer notes, but the amber just isn't as strong as I'd like I to be. It's really pleasant to smell, but I'm not sure how practical it would be as a scent to wear unless I layered it. The florals come out a little later, but it's just so sweet smelling despite it. It smells more like a dessert or a beverage than a perfume!

My top favorite cheapie. I absolutely love the smell of this stuff. But I didnt wear it often the past 10 years because i was convinced it did not last long and it made me resentful because of this. However, ive been wearing it more this year because the bottle is getting old and because i do love the fragrance. Being one of my favorite fragrances, i dont want to let it wither away on a shelf till it goes off. Well… let me tell you… i get compliments hours after i think its gone. Ive learned, this year, that it does indeed last and project. So i just ordered two more bottles. There is nothing like this that i know of. The only thing that comes close is Miss Dior 2021, and only in the AIR. Smelling up close, the differences are huge, but in the air, they definitely have a similar vibe. Unfortunately, though Miss Dior lasts longer and projects better, it still doesnt top the scent of Far Way Exotic, for me. Far Way Exotic smells like my distant memories of Cost Plus Imports … fruity tea, roses, spice trade, and wicker. There is an earthiness from the patchouli that i love. Its has suprising depth. Its a spring and summer fragrance for me. Not beachy but rather… romantic, calm, and energizing. I also love the mango in this.

Chai fragrance , floral chai and done very well . I don’t have anything similar to this one . It’s quite unique . Very strong notes of warm spices ( in a good way ) with floral amber tones , does not have a tea note but I do smell it . Discontinued I believe but if you are a fragrance collector or fanatic get your hands on it . Some people are selling on eBay I believe . It’s very comforting . I recently purchased it from a vintage fragrance collector .

Sweet, warm spicy, coconuty - reminds me of Crystal Noir Versace, Black Orchid Tom Ford - by any means not a dupe. But if you took the coconut woodiness from Versace and 1% of spices from TF and blended with mango - voila far away exotic. Gorgeous yet SO short lived not even 30mins.

One of the most interesting coconut scents I've ever tried or owned. I was looking for a spicy coconut that reminded me of my love of chai, cardamom, not gourmand, not unisex. This has it all! Cannot believe it came from Avon. I got mine on the gray market. If you're hunting for the same things, put this on your lemming list!

Does anyone else think this reminds them of HEAT by Beyoncé?

For years I’ve been looking high and low for FAE in my country until I stumbled by one a few months ago (at almost designer price, nevertheless I got it). I was in search for a good mango scent and this had a mango note with some spice for even better measure, right? It was also a flanker of FA which has a lot of character and awesome performance. I thus had it so hyped up in my imagination, that it came as a disappointment when I first sniffed it. The opening was a very synthetic mango scent, just like the others I’ve smelled so far, and the performance much weaker than the original FA. However after a few minutes it redeemed itself. FAE transported me to an Indian mango garden (more so than a tropical beach), where I was sipping on a warm chai latte prepared with coconut milk and soft spices. The mango smell becomes much less synthetic after the initial blast and is sweet and smooth with the creamy spicy feel of the chai. Lovely but not worth the hefty price I paid, but worth every penny of the original Avon price.

One of the perfumes that made the biggest impression on me. I remember smelling it on the catalogue and finding it interesting, coconuty and spicy. I have to agree with those who discribe it like a chai latte. I regret to this day not getting it because it was discontinued not long after.

One of the best chai tea smelling perfumes I had and very good for the price I got it at. The projection is conservative, but it last awhile. I would get this again.

Tropical island girls weekend getaway. Private resort drinking fruity umbrella drinks and listening to island music. I'm in love with this juicy mango goodness. Suprising I do not get any coconut which is why this feels so unique to me. Sadly it's discontinued but I'd love this in a nice body butter so every inch of my skin would smell like this. I did get it on ebay so it might just be my bottle but unfortunately it is really only noticeable if I put my nose right up to my wrist after a very short amount of time. It's almost more like a body spray because I've had to respray 3 times so I can keep smelling this. Again it might just be my bottle and if yours is stronger please let me know because I will buy a 2nd bottle to see if I have better luck. Also if you know of any other fragrance that smells like this PLEASE let me know.

Who knew?!? This is a fantastic supercalifragilisticexpeolodocious fragrance. Yes that good - mainly I give it more kudos because I wasn't expecting the goodness from a relatively inexpensive perfume. When I first smelled it - I immediately thought of Penhaligon's Ruthless Countess Dorothea - it does not smell like this fragrance but the mango and spices and delight I get puts it in the same realm. Such a shame this is discontinued - I think they should revive this perfume, I believe it would do fantastic now - it may have been before it's time. I love it I love it I love it. My first Avon fragrance - and now I want to try all the flankers. yummmmmmy! Did I mention I love it?!?!

Recently snagged an old sampler from Avon off of Poshmark, and this was in it. Definitely didn't like it as a child when it came out, but absolutely LOVE it now. I don't get any mango or fruits, but the milky and spicy coconut, cardamom, and spices are present and fantastic. It really does smell like a chai latte. If you're bummed it's discontinued, know that it smells EXACTLY like Gilded by Libertine Fragrances (and without all of the orientalism and exoticism of Avon's packaging and marketing, which I think it's good the fragrance community is moving away from....though Gilded is 10 times the price.)

One of the first perfumes that I had when I was a teenager. I don't remember how I got it but it was a mature/strong scent for my age at the time but I liked using it. I recently found it again in my storage and it smells just the same (even after 9 years!!) We've been using the tiny remainder of it as a room fragrance since it's just too strong for me. I'll keep the bottle for memories. This has been discontinued but you can find some people selling bottles on ebay.

Something about this reminds me so much of Crystal Noir By Versace but this one is stronger and stays far longer on my skin. It is a total spice and coconut bomb and I couldn't be happier with it. It also has a delicious coffee note in the opening, at least on me/ Avon, why do you have to discontinue the best scents???

Анонім

I love most of the Far Away line, but this was by far my favourite. If they hadn't discontinued this it would have been my signature forever, that's how much I loved it. Spicy and creamy, lasted for hours on my skin and I got so many compliments. If anyone knows of anything similar to this please let me know :)

I'm so impressed! Juicy mangoes and exotic fruits. No coconut for me which is a good thing. I love this! So fresh and tropical. Not a laster but not too bad either couple of hours. Oooh the bottle is so cute! Heavy, opaque glass. I love it! Perfect cheapie summer frag. Coconut is in the drydown for me. Like a soft nice biscuit!

Far Away Exotic definitely smells like spiced tea. It could be chai tea or it could be cardamom tea, because to my nose this has a lot of cardamom although the notes do not include it (could be one of the spices). I don't know of anything else that is coconut + mango + spices. This is the best of the Avon Far Away line as far as I am concerned. And as someone else noted below, this line improves with age. When I first bought this years ago, it mostly smelled like loud coconut, but that part has mellowed so that it's one third coconut, one third mango, and one third spiced tea. One of the few spicy scents I have that works in super hot weather: it's my summer Kenzo L'Elephant. Same comforting and empowering feeling (not the same smell of course).

Анонім

hairspray, fake fruit, synthetic, plastic coconut, sandalwood; the drydown was much better as it came together and the chemical smell that probably was a badly done coconut burned off. I liked this more in the summer but then it was lots of vanilla but a bit warmer and smooth.

As with all Avons (2012 and earlier batches) this too gets better, rounder and smoother with age. I at first totally considered Far Away Exotic as a winter frag, due to the distinct "chai latte" aroma I got from it. Re-wearing it after years, I can see the summery exotic part exactly. Indeed I have combined it with Lancaster's Sole di Capri, which is another nice, tropical fragrance. I recommend this %100. I believe Avon did an amazing job with all Far Aways.

Анонім

This is a tropical scent but it's less of a Caribbean getaway smell and more of a middle eastern holiday scent because of the spices. I get a lot of saffron from this which is really beautiful but not that much coconut, which makes me a little sad because I really love coconut in scents. It is still really beautiful and is definitely a summer nights frag or even a winter frag because of the spice. If you want to bring summer to you during the winter then this is a great option!

Just beautiful - creamy - dreamy exotic . My fave far away ! Let me know if there is something similar to this guys .

I wear this from time to time, the temperature has to be *just right* to make it really sing. Too cold and I get mainly the woodsy base notes, and the fragrance reads a bit synthetic and dry (oddly enough). Too warm and the sweetness gets a little sticky. I *have* found that this effect can be diminished by altering how much or how little I apply, so that's a plus. Worn appropriately, this perfume is actually really delightful. On me it's a creamy, lightly spiced jasmine/rose, on a big, marshmallowy cloud of soft musk and very sweet, golden amber. It smells like a warm mix of candy and flowers and saffron. There are definite hints of ripe, juicy mango and bright mandarin in the beginning, though I don't get much distinct patchouli or coconut at any point (which is fine, they're just blended in with the other notes). Very good quality for the price point. When I finish the bottle there's a good chance I'll repurchase since it's a lovely and easy fragrance to have on hand.

No coconut, just mango and orange...pretty tropical, I was hoping to smell coconut but it's just not there. Moderate everything....I REALLY recommend the original Far Away!! That's delicious in a cold weather

Spicy mango-sandalwood-patchouli-musk. Surprisingly, for an Avon fragrance, a lot of personality in this one and surprises during the drydown. The drydown is still fruity but: warm, spicy, womanly, lovely. I'd classify this as a sensual fragrance, for sure. Makes others want to get closer. Certainly smells more expensive than what I paid for it, which was, I believe, less than fifteen bucks. Lasting power is exceptional; I smell this on myself after more than 8 hours. This one morphs, so give it a chance if you don't like the first sprays. If you're into tropical fruit scents and fruitchoulis, give this one a try.

@unlitcigar - you're supposed to wash away the body odour first by having a bath or shower. Boho style fragrance which would be glorious on glamorous women aged 45+ It was therefore not right for my age but stunning anyway. Spicy, fruity, and rich but not strong enough for my perfume eating skin. With this fragrance having moderate sillage, it's a skin scent on me :( If it was stronger, I'd wear it with an ethnic style dress and statement necklace.

With this latest buy, I feel, for once in my life, that I have a perfect, and complete perfume collection for every season, and for every mood. I sprayed this once a few summers ago and liked it a lot, but got caught up buying other frags instead. I finally got a full bottle of this and I am so glad I have revisited this one. Its really beautiful and it LASTS FOREVER. I unfortunately cant say the same about some more expensive perfumes Ive bought, many these days just do not last, and its now a guideline I use for what to buy. If it smells beautiful but doesnt last... I am not going to buy it. Wont even bother sniffing it. (Burberry is a perfect example of this. I love it, but after awhile it just made me angry because it simply does not last and its not at all a cheap perfume). I wish everyone would follow suit, because if something doesnt last longer than an hour or two, you are just being jipped for the money you spend. Maybe we can vote for better quality perfumes with our dollars? Anyway... Exotic is exactly this to me: A very unusual, but wholly harmonic blend of Rose, fresh hot black tea, mandarin, and coconut. It reminds me of a flower shop with lots of wicker stuff in it, or... sort of the way Cost Plus Import stores smelled in the late 80's. A really relaxing, pleasing, and stimulating scent. There's a bit of the exotic and also homey coziness in this scent...all at once. If you are looking for coconut, you will certainly pick that up in this fragrance, its definitely prominent but its not an obvious beach scent at all. Very unusual coconut concoction here, and it works so very well. LOVE.

We're having a heatwave here right now and I've totally been craving either fruity or coconut frags. I put this on the other night and hubby (who was on the other side of the room working) was all " oh wow, you smell amazing right now". I love Far Away, but I think this one works best when there's a breeze flowing around or near you as there was on this night. Something about the heat and breeze just makes this version sing. Beautiful wafts of coconut, vanilla and floral deliciousness. It just begs for a cocktail sipped by an expensive pool somewhere. Total love for me :)

OMG it's divine!!! I love it!!! Beautiful!!!! Such a delicious sweet, beauty!!! And another fabulously gorgeous bottle!!!

I've been seeing this around but was very hesitant to try. It was until I read so many good reviews that I decided to give it a chance. But I must say, I was AMAZED!!! This stays on me for more than 7 hours and has a really good sillage. The composition overall is warm, sweet, and a bit spicy. To me, it has a certain allure that got me HYPNOTIZED! I just can't stop smelling my wrist when I'm wearing this. It's truly the "PASSAGE TO INDIA" like what its first campaign claims as it brings back fond memories of the Diwali festival I've ever been a part of. There is a certain light and color to this scent that I can't describe but the syrupy sweetness and hint of spice resembles EXOTIC fares namely Gulab jamun, Jalebi, & mango Chutney. I ADORE this creation from Avon and I'd be devastated should they decide to discontinue it.

Far away exotic by avon starts of really sweet, the dry down is what i like to imagine a fine incense from Morroco with some creamy notes. It could pass for a designer fragrance. The bottle itself looks cheap, but i like the royal purple tassle. I have the 1.7 ounce spray bottle. Update - i have recently noticed that this perfume has a dill pickle smell. I love dill pickles, but i dont want to smell like subway deli sandwich.
